Since there are no reviews of the series I thought I had to write a little something. In a summary I would say that Uchuu Majin Daikengou is your typical super robot anime of the 70's in all departments, recommended for fans of the genre and with only 26 episodes it doesn't overstay it's welcome. The protagonist is prince Ryger of planet Emperius who along with Cleo and the comic relief characters of the story Anike and Otoke (in my opinion they are more irritating than entertaining). Their mission is to stop the Mangellan empire from conquering the galaxy and they are up against a multitudeof giant robots that are mostly fossils of animals, insects, fish etc. sent by Roboleon, the robot general of Magellan and creation of Lady Baracross (which is another comic relief character and the one that makes a better job than Anike and Otoke in my opinion). Overall I think it's a decent watch. I would prefer if there was less comedy involved because it becomes frustrating at times. The drama and suspence elements are nice but most of the time expected and the main story is OK but nothing special. Another minor negative is that there are I believe two or three episodes with some repeated scenes and in a such a small series you don't want that.
