High school can be a complicated time for young men, especially for young men named Ichirou Tachibana. Ichirou knows his homeroom teacher Yuuko Morino's biggest secret: she's a witch! *Warning: This is a hentai title review. It features graphic language. As Captain Obvious would say, this title is heavy on tentacle sex. Now I can’t say I enjoy that fetish. I decided to watch it only because of the nice cover art… and I must say I’ve been agreeably surprised. Based on the eroge of the same name by Lilith-Soft and produced by Pixy (Taimanin Asagi, Kangoku Senkan), Tentacle and Witches offers 4 episodes of steamy, consensual and enjoyable tentacle sex. Tentacles without rape or violence! I can hardly believe it! (until episode 3, that is) STORY: 6/10 Ichiro, your typical male high school student, fantasizes about histeacher Yuko who really is a witch. He is punished by the witch’s pupil, Lily, for peeping on her rituals and is turned into a tentacle monster. Tentacle and Witches then proves worthy of its title by having numerous sex scenes starring tentacle boy and his girls.
The non sex scenes still feature a lot of ecchi paired with comedy, which is reminiscent of typical fan service content in non Hentai titles. Most of the jokes are déjà vu: flamboyant characters act up and throw hate at each other. Only a few of the more original moments made me chuckle.
Whenever the plot seems to stagnate it picks up again shortly after and is just interesting enough to add some value to the overall viewing experience. The love triangle relationship evolves as the story moves forward and I would have preferred if the story focused on that. At mid point, a new witch is introduced and an evildoer appears to stir up trouble, but this new main plot feels like poor filler.
ART: 7/10
I know for sure that the cover art for this title (and others such as Dark Knight Ingrid) was done by Mayu Furuse. What I noticed is that the art’s quality is uneven.
While the characters look fine and the animation is okay, the style is quite peculiar. The female characters have a tiny waist, long and thin legs and facial traits closer to super deformed than to realism at times. Some frames show a lack of detail and consistency in the depiction of body parts, and there are a few shots in which the female characters look sketchy. Yet there are other shots in which the girls are very attractive.
Overall I have mixed feelings about the art style, but I cannot deny that the characters and animations do look nice most of the time.
SOUND: 7/10
The girls moan quite a lot during H scenes but their voices weren’t annoying. Lily’s voice actress does a particularly good job of conveying the character’s emotions. There are 2 or 3 little flaws: Yuko has one scene in which she speaks fluently despite having her mouth full and Lily has at least one in which the lines don’t match her lips’ movements.
It’s hard for me to assess the tentacles’ sound effects, but I’d say they get along nicely with the images and aren’t out of synch or anything.
The soundtrack is subtle and has a nice retro vibe, but isn’t really memorable.
CHARACTER: 6/10
Yuko is the older witch with a caring demeanor. She has long dark hair, dark green eyes, huge breasts (I’d say J cup), a massive butt and thighs yet still has a slender, healthy shape. She wears pink lipstick and her exaggerated feminine figure should look very sexy to milf lovers.
Lily is the tanned, tsundere classmate who also turns out to be a witch. Despite her pesky nature she can be cute and shy at times, which makes her all the more attractive. She has blonde hair and side tails, dark green/turquoise eyes, a slender body and small A cup breasts yet her butt and thighs are generous for her size. On top of being the narrator, Lily gets more screen time than the other two girls and her love-hate relationship with Ichiro is one of the most important and memorable sub plots. She ultimately wins in cuteness, lewdness and heartwarming moments.
Kaya is the third witch who is introduced later on. She is tall and slim but has huge boobs (a tad smaller than Yuko’s). She wears lipstick, her long pink hair tied in a ponytail and she comes to help an illstruck Yuko by trying to kill Ichiro. Her aggressive behavior harms her sex appeal, but she’s still attractive and softens up in the last episode.
Unfortunately, Yuko and Kaya don’t get nearly as much exposure and character development as Lily, and therefore felt rather bland in the end. I think that if the story focused on Yuko and Lily’s search for a cure for Ichiro’s condition instead of introducing a new main plot and two new characters at mid point, Yuko could have had proper development and I would have given this category more than 6/10.
ENJOYMENT: 7/10
Most sex scenes involving the tentacles are consensual and pleasurable for the female characters even though some of the squeezing and pulling acts may look painful and the girls are sometimes afraid. They are usually held tight, their body doesn’t move in the frame, only their curves and the tentacles twitch and move around. The tentacles come in various sizes, colors and shapes.

Episode 1 drew me in and features two H scenes of similar tentacle content.
Episode 2 has a lot of story progression, more sex scenes and sexier poses.
Episode 3 features non consensual sex and seemingly painful acts, yet the girls still climax like crazy. This episode takes a darker and more action-oriented turn but at this point in the series it feels out of place and less interesting.
Episode 4 features the conclusion of the enemy-related plot, which is boring, but the H scenes are satisfying. The harem ending has horny Ichiro do whatever he pleases to three beautiful women, but it lacks the emotional depth of earlier human-on-human scenes. Post credit scenes show a preview of the following episodes and there is an extra ending scene after the last episode’s credits roll.

Tentacle and Witches earns a well-deserved 7 and gets a bonus point for originality and variety in the settings and H scenes. I was expecting a clichéd tentacle title, with lots of rape and painful sex, and was agreeably surprised that was not the case. I wouldn’t go so far as to say this title converted me to tentacle hentai, but it is one in which I can enjoy that fetish. Maybe those of you who prefer brutal tentacle rape might not enjoy this title as much, but I wouldn’t know.
In any case, since Tentacle and Witches seems to offer a unique take on the tentacle genre and also features human-on-human sex scenes, I’d recommend all hentai viewers at least watch the first episode. I particularly enjoyed how Ichiro and Lily’s relationship played out as well. It had several adorable, love and lust-filled moments.
