High Score is the most anime I've ever watched High score truly has to be one of the anime released in 2011 so far. Kitamura, Eri did a job playing Megumi and the plot was in the anime. The anime has storytelling and the scenes was animated. The side characters were along with Megumi and the Sayo was there .The jokes were sentences. This anime really is one of the animes of all time, if not the last decade. The characters were all well written but had a sense of relatability as they got developed through their stories. The music was something fresh and new in thislandscape of heavy underground hyperpop death grips influenced openings and endings. The artstyle was a bit simple but it made following the story easier and gave the animators better control over the anime. Overall this was an anime that i watched and finished and gave a rating to.
As bad as Kamichama Karin’s eyes are, they are nowhere near as bad as the under-the-influence eyes the characters in this anime sport. The title “High Score” may seem ironic since it deserves a low score.Just like Glasslip this is a romcom without romance or comedy but the visuals are also terrible and the little time it had was not used well. The term “dementia” would fit well here since this feels like what would be left of the shoujo romance genre in the last stage of Alzheimer’s disease. There is very little substance to this and should only be watched if you like seeinghow terrible anime can get.
Now that I've completed the 8 episode omake (since it's only 6 mins long), what is it that I have to say about this 2D omake? Hummmmmmmmmmmmmm. Ok, while most shoujo anime focuses on a good girl thing, this one is more on the typical campus bitch thingy- and I really do mean your typical Miss.Popular, troublesome, love to kill, love to hate and slutty type of school bitch who goes by the name of Fujiwara Megumi. However, it is the comedy thingy that adds zest to this omake, so while at one point you'll hate Megumi, your dislike for her will be replacedwith laughter. So for the story it's a "Good" number 7. Art: Good number 7. Ok, this is the frist time I've ever given this part such score, usually I'll give it a 5. But, I really like the 2D art form done by the illustrator. The art itself can be compared with other 2D omake such as "Double J." Sound: Fair number 6. I'd kind of like the ending theme. Charater: Good number 7. Ok, like I've said about Fujiwara Megumi, she's the type of character you'll love to hate, but then again her comic side will make you think otherwise. Ther is also her love interest, Matsumoto Masamune who's equally as vain as she is and is your typical campus jock, the two of them make a good combination, perfect for this omake, so, it's just right that such rating is given unto them. Enjoyment and overall: Good number 7. This 2D omake really does well with it's comedy genre, and frankly, this omake should have been made into at least a 15min anime. The unique typecast of using a campus bitch for a change really does make this 6 min omake rock. PS: Ok, so the info states that this omake is 3 mins long, but it's actually 6 mins long, co'z it inculdes both the opening and closing themes. Comprende amigos? ARIBA!!!!!
An anime 8 episodes long, yet only 3 minutes each. Quite short, yes? Well, that's one of the things I liked about it. High Score won't take too much of your time, so it's especially good for those of you with short attention spans. The main character's a self-conceited "Miss Popular" that shares the same characteristics with her boyfriend. Oh, and her parents are crazy, too. I quite enjoyed the sound effects and the theme song, as it matched well with the show. The voices all suit the characters perfectly. Oddly enough, the theme song can actually be quite catchy. HI-SUUKOAAA HIISUKO-AA, HISUKOAAA~ Personally, what I liked mostabout High Score was its combination of odd humour plus the way the characters looked like rip-offs of Bleach. But in terms of humour, High Score is WAY more spontaneous than that anime. Random flashy openings & the out-of-nowhere acts of violence. I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys odd, random humour and wants to kill about half an hour with laughter and face-palming.
