Brandish is certainly one of the weirder Hentai flicks I've seen even for Japanese standards, despite the fact that their pornography is famously known to contain some of the weirdest shit imaginable on this planet. But what makes Brandish wackier than most Hentai is a combination of what looks like a medieval European setting, a tall female lead with a name that when pronounced by the Japanese makes it sound like she was born in Saint Petersburg, a male lead that looks like a 10 year old and the superbly outlandish plot that makes this Hentai tick. The plot is something straight out of priest'snightmare - there's a hot tall demon chick (Twiska) who moves from town to town pleasuring men, sucking out their "essences" and teasing women for their inadequate reproductive tracts. It just so happens that one night during one of her usual raping marathons she comes across the male lead, Theo, who happens to be the prophesied messiah with some intriguing powers. What happens then is something that I would describe as the most disturbing and yet pleasing scenes in my porn viewing career. And no, it wasn't scat so calm the hell down. This is where the story kicks off. There will be a lot of pleasing sexual scenes with a wide variety of positions and quirks that may or may not involve DBZ transformations and body lotion. There's definitively something for every connoisseur here. The quality of animation is high and moan acting seems authentic. The design behind Twiska and Theo is also top notch. Their scenes are fluid (more specifically liquid, nudge nudge wink wink) and detailed. High points in these departments. The only beef I have with this production is the fact that it does touch upon rape, thought it's female on male and the series makes it look like everyone is actually enjoying themselves so my lizard brain is inclined to turn a blind eye on it, on this occasion. All in all I have definitively enjoyed Brandish. It is a wacky Hentai that even though may not score high on the morality scale is still wildly entertaining and amusing. A while ago, when I read some review of some blah T&A "late nite animu;" the reviewer stated how animu like this is NEEDED (as opposed to just "either or"). This is the same crowd who'd rather masturbate over having sex with elementary school children than try to win the hearts of women their own age (in real life). Besides; a guy sees a sexy chick, you wanna have sex with her. Where do you think the arguments "Women Shouldn't Dress Inappropriately," "Men Have No Self-Control," and "2D > 3D" come from? But enough of my arguments, on to my view of this adult anime: Brandish is (despite what FUNi's live-action movie about a sucubus want you to believe) EXACTLY WHAT YOU'D EXPECT from an adult anime about a sucubus who likes having sex. And have sex she DOES. Although she prefers young shota types. Unfortunately for her, said shota's THE HERO who's able to slay demons like her... Despite the "snake versus (poison) frog" relationship; my aluminum bat BLUDGEONS the people behind Highschool DxD, "Can't Play H," and their ilk (and even as far as Darkstalkers) as I yell THIS IS HOW YOU DO ANIMU ABOUT SUCUBII!! I'll be quick about this: Read the Brandish manga, this anime adaptation is the worst. You won't seen Twiska (or Ziska)'s awesomeness here, and the reason why the Brandish manga have spun up to SIX volumes. Those who have watched the anime without reading the manga doesn't even have a slight understanding why Twiska is looking for the Hero named "Theo"; and it was more of looking for just the parts of the manga scenes that I even fail to recognize. Worse, you guys won't even know how Twiska and Theo ended up with this anime adaptation. Brandish could have been one of the best anime that canrival some---let's say, Stringendo, in terms of episodes; or La Blue Girl---but no, they juz ruined it with 2 episodes and making Twiska look fat and useless here. I was supposed to click "submit" now, but MAL won't let me. How can I even write something that isn't worth writing about? So let's see... Twiska is the succubus who goes around in a f*ckfest until she found a shota named "Theo", who was the foretold hero. And guess that's it for this anime, won't spoil for the manga. :) So still, if you wanna watch it, then that's a go, I suppose.
