[This is my first review. I had no intention of writing a review, and this will be short, but I disagree strongly with the only other review, and MAL's synopsis of this show is completely wrong - at least compared to what I watched, titled "Koi-ken! Watashitachi Anime ni Nacchatta!," downloaded from a torrent.] What I watched is just one 53-min episode, not 12 4-min episodes, and has nothing to do with dating. It is about a group of 7 girls being encouraged, taught, and coached to become an idol group, and their overcoming of any negative feelings they had about idols, overcoming their fears, andworking hard as a group of close friends to achieve the goal. It was very much not what I was expecting, nor was it something I would say I typically might find very interesting, but after somehow getting through the beginning music video it caught my interest just enough to keep my watching, and in the end I don't feel like I wasted that hour, so I guess I'm saying you should give it a chance if it sounds at all appealing to you. I think what actually kept me watching is I'm a sucker for really cute girls doing really cute things, and this show has that oozing out from it everywhere, so much so you can almost lick it up, like the girls lick their soft-serve ice cream while trying to look seductive. There is some mild nudity for a couple minutes (MAL got that right by accident, I guess), and there's a little ecchiness, but the fan service is not too great and does not distract from the show at all. So what genres for this show (trying to remember what some of them are...); a bit of school, a bit of ecchi, certainly idol and music, a bit of comedy. There's no slice of life, action, romance, harem, supernatural, etc. I didn't pay close enough attention to rate things like the music quality, I think you know the story, fairly basic, and there isn't enough time for much character development, though some of them do change some opinions. If I'm remembering correctly, I think the animation quality was fairly high. I thought it was cute, fun, not a bad way to spend an hour.
First, even If I have scored this with 3, I wont be so rough in my review. Mainly because this is a genre that I dont like, from the begining. But, if you are asking what its like is a mixture between Idol Master and AKB, thats basicly Musical Shojo. I've seen different kind of series, and this is possibly the worst of the genre. It hasnt any type of romance or drama, if there are two or three labels to describe this one They'd be: Friendship, Idol, Shojo. So If you dont like, one of them I really suggest u not to see it, itsucks. But for Idol Master and others fans, give it a try.
