While enjoying a date in a park, a man carelessly tosses an empty bottle onto the ground. His selfish littering promptly summons an imposing figure wearing a white hockey mask. The gruesome events that follow tell an admonishing tale about the importance of preserving the outdoors and defending the environment from the ugly menace of litter. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Okay, I'll be honest, I only watched this since I saw shitcom first. I expected more shit, but I got something.. educational? This little "anime", if you can even call it that, has a couple sitting in a park. The guy throws a empty can on the ground, Jason Voorhees comes and kills the guy, the woman runs and then jason starts cleaning up the trash... GREAT. Oh and again: -It's 1 minute long -It's made of clay -It has crap music -It's for free on youtube.
This is a simply wonderful anime. This is a must watch. Its also an underrated instant classic. If you wanna know why I love it keep reading!! No llittering is by far the best anime ever made. Story 10/10 This is such a bebeautifully made story about a couple and littering. The story also deals with the emotional pain of death. As well does this story teach you the importance of not littering because of what could happen i won't say anymore about the story Art 10/10 The art is what yout would fine unique but nice. Plus the animation was wonderful better than fate/zero or ghost inthe shell:SAC. The art and animation are both wonderfully made i simply cant put it in to words Sound10/10 The sounds in this short masterpiece had some of the best voice acting EVER. Better than any japanese dub or English dub. Plus the sound track is so emotional and when their is jumpscares the songs can scare you Character 10/10 Probably my favorite part the relationship with the guy and the girl are such a wonderful relationship its like no other plus its the BEST relationship in any anime ever. Plus the killer was genuinely scary. Enjoyment 10/10 Watch it! Watch it! WATCH IT!!! If you haven watched it your missing out on the best anime ever made! You should go now and watch it. Its on Youtube for free so go watch this 1 minute masterpiece. I enjoyed this anime so much. So should you :)
Esta review también está en español. After more than four years of nothing... Nagao Takena's back, with a pack of new videos full of gore and clay! From all his new works, I choose to start with this one, for one simple reason: it has a powerful aesop! No Littering (a name that need no explanations, I think) try to make people aware of the dangers of pollution. We see a young couple, casually littering either because they're ignorant, lazy, or complete asses... and for that, they will pay the price. Not the long term one, that involves the destruction of the environment and the extinction ofmajestic animals (both vertebrates and invertebrates... yes, I know that usually people think mammals and birds are cutter, but that doesn't mean that animals like snails and crabs aren't in danger! I know I strayed a bit, but please! Consciousness!), but an immediate, painful and brutal punishment, the one that usually Takena delivers, and involve guts and brain splattered in the floor (that, luckily, are organic materials n_n). The animation is on par with Takena's last works. If this is your first experience, the claymation (animation that use clay, duh) is pretty smooth, and the stop motion works wonderfully. The character design is OK, being the best one the guess star that appears mid-movie... There's almost no sound here, except for a few seconds of music that somehow recalls the movie Psycho, and a few sound effects. Not a lot to say about it. So, No Littering is not Takena most ambitious project in terms of argument or duration (only one minute…), but is his more humane work, full of social awareness. It's a mystery to me why Greenpeace didn't adopt this video for one of their campaigns. Anyways, I recommend this for both extreme environmentalists and Takena fans... and for people that like clay, violence, and have one minute to spare. If this is your first Takena experience, and you like it, I obviously recommend his other shorts, specially Bloody Night, Chainsaw Maid, and Bloody Date (this one specially, is pretty good). Not much else to say, I wish you all a good night... and be clean... or you'll be sorry.
[EPA Message: Bring Awareness Through Violent Imagery] This is the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), with Takena, bring you an important message. We have received reports that a high number of people, roughly 50%, have been littering. We, as the EPA, wanted to reduce these numbers, so we have hired a special individual. We have hired Jason, he specializes in ‘dealing’ with these sorts of matters. On YouTube, we have uploaded a video, which uses clay animation with minimal sounds and no dialogue. This video will tell you how Jason ‘deals’ with people who litter. Warning Graphic Content: – If you litter, Jason will randomly appear in frontof you. Once, you have littered, he will stab you with a large, metal tweezer through your eyes. Then, he will clean up the mess you have made. –The lesson of this video: Don’t litter or Jason will kill you! This message was brought to you by the EPA. Protecting the environment from pollution and other environmental hazards.
Story - 2 There was no story, it's more about the clay animation. Art - 9 This was actually very good clay animation. sound - 8 The sound in the animation was good, edited well, etc. character - 2As stated before, this animation was more about the actual animation than characters, story, etc, so don't take the low story or character scores as reason to not watch the video. Enjoyment - 6 I enjoyed it. It's only a minute long, so watch it. Overall - 6 Nice little clay animation. The people rating it a 1 need to get the sticks out of their asses and watch the video for what it is. Sure, if you rate it the way you'd rate a real show where they spend 100,000 dollars on an episode this isn't a good anime, but if you just look at it as a short little clay animation, it's a pretty good video. It's really not bad at all. Grow up.
WARNING: Some spoliers ahead I wanna start off by saying that this "anime" is only 2 mins long, simple and beautiful. Don't get me wrong, beauty in this "anime" is only the fact that Takena did such an amazing work with the clay. He put such an effort to make this short video to leave a strong message. STORY: 4 Well, this is probably the highest rate I could give to this short "anime", because there are no real plot, but a couple watching a TV and guy with Friday the 13th mask killing a man who was watching the TV. Didn't really get why? I don't wantto watch it again, not because it's twisted or bloody, but because I have no intention on watching it again, simply because of stupidity that flows through that video. I literaly feel stupid watching his videos. ART: 6 Yeah, as I said, Takena did a great job with clay, so I think art can be 6 at least. Don't hate me SOUND: 2 Sound is kinda stupid. I feel like he didn't put such an effort on sound effects. Well, it doesn't affect the video. OVERALL: 4 Shit, that was really confusing, I was expecting something better, something stronger, something that would make me change my mind about his videos. Something that will make me watch some more, but really, this gore and bloody scenes, they are unnecessary and that's what makes this whole collection stupid. You can't lose anything at all, (Well, maybe 2 minutes of your life) but it's not a problem. Watch it, don't expect anything, just try to watch it.
This is the second Nagao Takena work I have seen and going into No Littering I was expecting a terrible mess such as his previous work I have seen, Shitcom. However while No littering is by no means a good or even average program, it's definitely a step in the right direction. This ONA is better than Shitcom because it actually tries to convey a theme and had a moment where I was pretty entertained. Art is still pretty hideous, I don't think the claymation is done well at all. The story is bleh, but I would say it's better then Shitcom by asignificant margin. The sound was pretty basic and wasn't that great either. The reason why the enjoyment level is that high is that I found how the particular theme was conveyed here was clever and funny. So overall while bad, No Littering is definitely an improvement from Shitcom.
Not a real fan of clay animation but went with a 7 overall. Mostly on the fact it attempted to drive a good solution to an on going problem. From the person that brought you Maid of the dead actually did a better job/drove a point in my eyes. pro and cons cons -would be nice to do more than an elementary school title cover but oh well. - i see a potential i think it was the popular "jason/freddy krueger" copyright issue but i don't know all the facts. -some dialogue would have helped -rather than killing with _____(sorry no spoilers) why not kill with a *wink* post(for those whohave seen it) to really see the signs. pros - i enjoyed that it was not too based on horror. - i liked the message p.s. The work as great as it was for some understand it was a vain effort. Ahem.... how to word it without spoilers? hmmm.... given the evil character's reason for why he did what he did his actions only made his goal that more difficult to "clean" up. thus begging the question was more harm done than good?
From the acclaimed director of Shitcom (the only anime I've given a 1 on MAL as I was actually appalled by it) comes No Littering, a clay-based anime PSA about...not littering. Nagao Takena chooses to express this message by having a man and his girlfriend sitting on a park bench. Note that the man never blinks while his girlfriend blinks once. I'd want to believe this was some kind of symbolism/foreshadowing, but Takena isn't that clever. Anyways, the man is throwing unidentified cans on the ground (maybe he's getting wasted to deal with the fact he's in a Nagao Takena anime) when Jason comes out of nowhereand stabs him in the eyes. The man's girlfriend runs away in horror, and Jason picks up the cans. The end. I gave this a 5 because, unlike Shitcom, I didn't have any feelings of utter shock/disgust/disappointment in myself for watching it. I actually chuckled at the guy getting stabbed in the eyes since the clay gore was so ridiculous. The animation and music are bad/generic, but this is probably worth a watch once tbh. It's one minute long and possibly Takena's best work.
