Second season of Teekyu series.

With the death of Studio Shaft (look at their Monogatari S2 OPs and observe how stale they are!), druggy anime is almost dead. People are now suffering from withdrawal. They are looking at reality in the face and they couldn't handle it -- no, life is unbearable for all of us. We have become manchildren. But wait, I hear the voice of our Lord and Savior Itagaki Shin! Just for us suffering plebeians, He gave us Teekyuu almost a year ago. And now, he returns from Heaven and set his feet on our rotting, earthly soil. Teekyuu S2 is more than anything Teekyuu S1 has done:it has transcended Wimbledon. And what does Teekyuu S2 teach us? Many, many incidents no matter what we do (many, many!) Money, money, all right, everything'll be resolved (money!) This is a hurricane of energy and instantly that'll get you dizzy. Sunny with a chance of Teekyuu! Smoke Teekyuu erryday, people.
I don't think you should watch this unless you're a fast reader (if you're watching subs... I don't think there are any official dubs). On top of that, I also recommend that you watch this all in one feel swoop. The plot moves so quickly it's hard to keep up. Usually every episode has its own mini plot and it's completely forgotten about afterwards, but a few episodes link together sometimes. None of these make sense, but it's mostly just like reading crack fanfiction, if you're familiar with it. It's also similar to those crack voice actor panels. Either way, if you're a fan ofeither of those things, you might like this. The art got better. In the first season, it was very choppy, but now it's more smooth and the colors and brighter and new backgrounds are tackled. It definitely makes it easier to watch. The characters are very stagnant and stupid with no character development, but that's part of what makes the show funny. I enjoyed it enough. I'm not sure why I'm watching this-- some of the jokes make me chuckle, but there isn't anything super funny to be honest. I think at this point I just need a break from the darker, longer, plot-heavy shows I watch, and this is just a nice dose of stupidity. :) This will definitely make your mood lighter after a long or depressing day, I can say that at least. I would recommend this if you: like crack fanfiction, like crack va panels, liked the first season I would NOT recommend this if you: are a slow reader and plan on watching the subs, like overarching plot, are looking for a sports anime, don't process jokes quickly Have a great day everyone!
[Old Review] Teekyuu Review - Part 2 It's comedy. Again. Fast comedy. Somehow the plot flows as it usually would in a normal anime. I didn't even expect there to be someone reasonable here to my surprise. The only difference is that this is fast. There seemed to be an absurd number of references to other major names in this real world. Makes you think, that Teekyuu is reality? Mappa is still pulling the same visual beauty, so you can expect there to be the same wacky gimmick that you'd be surprised such cannot tear the insides of itself with such speed. Also dumb art for the funnymoments. The voicing is something that is obviously a magnum opus with lines you cannot possibly hope to catch. So. Teekyuu. Again. Is nothing about tennis. Just some funny stupidity that makes fun of a little more than you'd expect. Featuring tennis. 10/10. "Smoke Teekyuu every day, people."
