SABER RIDER AND THE STAR SHERIFFS. This brings tears to my eyes. My first ever anime. I still remember the plot, even though as a little brat it was way more difficult to piece together the puzzle. I would dare say this is the best anime of all time, but that would be lying because I am biased. But as it is, its still a good anime, worth of your time. I believe this is the original show from which the english one was made. I watched the english one so this one is kind of new to me. Still, I believe that the english one hasmore episodes. I'll try to be objective as possible without telling you "ITS THE BEST": Story is a good one. Basically people from earth started colonizing other planets and the "Cavalry Command" was formed to defend these new settlements. The star sheriffs is the section from that which specializes in dealing with the foes. The villains (I remember them as Renegades or Vapor Beings) invade the planets for reasons I still don't understand. I think they are just assholes by design. Let's go with that. Anyway I believe that they also have giant mechs that are simply too OP. Cavalry Command makes a prototype mech called Ramrod or Rembrandt as a last stand option in which four heroes gather by sheer luck or by destiny to form the crew. There is Colt, Fireball, April and Saber Rider. Thus the name Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs. Characters are all okay in design and development. Each with their own strength, they are kind of dream team. Summary: IMO this is the best anime ever made. However, if I were to watch it today without any bias, I'd say is a good anime. The story is deep, the soundtracks are awesome - only the art is mediocre but what can you expect, it was made in the 80's or so. Its good for its years. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
