Yuusuke Yamamoto has a crippling phobia of women, and understandably so—the twin girls living next door tried to cut off his penis as a child. Unfortunately, Yuusuke's father is a gynecologist and needs him to overcome his fear so he can inherit the family business. To accomplish this, Yuusuke's father offers sanctuary to sisters Rika and Yuka Nakamura in their home while the girls are studying at the nearby college.
In a terrible twist of fate, when Yuusuke realizes that their guest room is too small for two people, he is forced to choose which of the sisters is allowed to stay. Desperate to win his favor, the brazen Yuka and the more reserved Rika are willing to do whatever it takes to impress and eventually sway Yuusuke—even if it means making things physical and personal.

This review is my first ever review and thus I only rate it based on enjoyment and other factors. This is all based on my opinion you can either accept it or not, read it or not read it :3 But now for this review :3 When I first watched this Anime I thought it was really bad but after rewatching it, it’s not so bad. It’s really amusing. >w< I give the Story (4-5/10) because the story is about a protagonist who is scared of girls because something that happened in his past. His father invites two twin girls sisters to try curing his phobia. The firstepisode is pretty much simple to understand where as the second episode was more random as if the creators wanted to try something entirely new.
I give the Art (6/10) because the animation was pretty much alright, I like the way they have contrasting colors for example in the first episode the girls was ginger haired whereas the second they are blond. Since this is an old OVA Anime you can instantly feel and recognize it in the art.
I give the Sound (5.5-6.5/10) because I actually enjoyed the background music that’s been used which gives me the older days feels. The Ending songs was pretty much average and I can’t think of a reason to listen those songs at all even if I was an adult in that time where this anime ova came out, I’m actually pretty curious about this anime’s background music if there is some kind of album lol.
I give the Character (6-7/10). Because I actually enjoyed the unique designs for the girls, I think the creator that made KissxSis got inspired by this anime OVA since the one girl named Rika had alot of common features with Rika from KissxSis, a coincidence? I don’t think so. Whereas the boy with phobia was pretty much average, he kind of was a bit irritating of me but I guess later he became ok. His father was pretty much disturbing to me, where the insane rich girl comes second but I guess the different personalities of those support characters gives a good grasp on how characters was made in the 90’s.
I give Enjoyment (6-7/10). This Anime OVA was pretty much fun to watch; my first time was pretty much disturbing but sometimes you just got to give something a second chance for better understanding it. My main criteria for loving an anime is a great story/plot and memorable unique characters with meaningful character development. This Anime had a lot of decent ratings in certain areas but the story was there where it lacked most, I might have been kind for giving it the rating I gave, I don’t know? But the Art/Animation, Sound/Music, and Characters made this worth a watch.
I had a lot of fun writing this review (since it was my first time), and since I’m rewatching some of my old completed Anime I might make more reviews. Writing this review also made me appreciate this Anime OVA more, since I personally thought this was to an overall rating of 5, but I changed my mind and give it 6 for its unique creativity, if I could read Japanese I would try giving the manga a chance, but I just must see in the future. :3

So, this anime was something I decided to watch for no reason at all. I saw it and somehow expected something other than what it was. Long story short, I only rated it as a 5/10 because it made me laugh. Other than being funny at times, this anime was awful but you can't expect much because it's a borderline hentai. There is a tiny bit of a story but that is mostly there to be funny.

"1+2=Paradise" - imPERVious90 Bogusified - 1+2=Paradise features well basically everything in a typical ecchi and haremy type of anime. From its characters backstory relations to one another, to the current dense typed response the main protagonist expresses, it has everything that you've already know and love from a typical ecchi-genre'd anime. Its story is easy and simple, nothing to extraordinary or makes it standout too much, but it does explain the situations the characters found themselves easily. Animation is dated, being created back in 1990, but it suits its time's general animations fairly well. The characters are all your typical characters you find in most ecchi, fromthe clumsy one, to the over attached one, to the dense one and what not, all fairly well expressed to no sudden questionable character changes so character development is on its minimal.
Overall this anime can be enjoyable if you find ecchi typed anime's your thing, you can give this a shot why not, but to the general audience it can be a tad too much cliche' or "what in the world is going on?" moments will be said often.

Okay, so this anime is called 1 + 2 = Paradise I will be honest, I only watched this because I wanted to see how it played out, I wasn't too surprised as most of it was somewhat expected. First the story - boy gets 2 sisters ( not his sisters mind you ) living with him, ah a classic love triangle, right? Wrong. it turns out he is scared stiff of women due to an incident with two sisters in his youth. I won't spoil anything there. Art - Here's where I feel it falls short, The art was okay for the first episode, but I thinkthe art did a massive change in the 2nd episode, being from 1990 you can't really rate it higher either.
Sound - a lot of dialogue composed of "Ah! Yuusuke-kuuuuun" gets on your nerves after a while, but it was okay I guess.
Character - given a 4 because that's literally how many characters there are, not much to say apart from the fact just having the 2 sisters and Yuusuke.
Enjoyment - for a show from over 20 years ago it wasn't that bad, it was similar to the KissXSis of that era, I suppose.

Story (2.5/10) = The story is curious because of the main character phobia, but it doesn't get dipper. The anime ends up in some random way. I won't talk about the second episode because it's really random. -Art (6/10) = The art is ok, nothing special, but it ins't bad, the colors and scenarios are pretty. I didn't like the proportions of the characters body, because they're a little strange. -Sound (5.5/10) = The sound is ok as art, the voice are good, but it doesn't have special musics and the opening is very simple. -Character (6/10) = Generic ecchi characters. The main character gets constrained easily andgets in confusions with his sister. The two sisters (and a third personage in the second episode) like him, but otherwise to tell him, they just provokes him.
Enjoyment (7/10) = I had fun with it, but it wasn't too fun as other ecchi/harem series.
Desliked: Story.
Liked: The ecchi stuff, like scenes.
Total (5.4/10) = In the end it isn't special, it's just a generic ecchi anime, but with you like and have fun with ecchi like I do, you should watch it.

Story: 2 To be honest, I only wanted to watch this because of a gif that I saw of a montage of strange and oddball things in the show. A snake made of breasts, girls with their faces where their crotches should be, lots of weird things. Unfortunately that all happened in the first five minutes, and after that it turns to a bland, disjointed near-hentai with bland characters, cliche situations, annoying voices and no resolution. All in all, it wasn't awful, but it was pretty bad. The art: 6 Pretty standard for 90's shows, VHS quality, but still enjoyable Sound: 3 The version I watched wasvery fuzzy, and cracked in a few placed, again, because of the age. Also, the voices were a bit high.
Character: 3
The characters were not only under developed, they also seemed to only care about sex, and had no other qualities. The main guy has a fear of girls, so that was interesting, but that's the only part of his character that was any different from a block of wood.
Enjoyment: 6
The jokes and old-anime feel were fun for the first episode, so yeah, I'd say I enjoyed it to an extent.
Overall: 4
I just can't see myself rating this show any higher, especially after the second episode.

Rate a 5 English Subtitled Story Story is fairly simple. A boy brought down with a curse. Question is will the guilt party be able to cure it? As for how the story is told i am a bit conflicted. The introduction was perfect. Not only did it sum up what was to come in the future but the viewer like the main character were on the same page, dumbfounded with clues. As the story progressed more insight was brought in. In all the story could be told by a couple scenes. In other words while the show was an okay production the remaining about 70 percent orso was ecchi/comedy based. Good i guess if either is your favorite. However, i find a show that has more plot is more entertaining. For ecchi based shows grow weak after a point. Much like eating your favorite ice cream. If you have too much you will get a headache. If you don't have enough you will be hungry for more. Which is why i feel only a little is needed. Especially if the character tree branch is small. Now, if the show was plot heavy it would be hard for a show to grow dull. For one wouldn't know generally what was to come next.
Art
Did not stay true. This show had two episodes. I understand the director or someone wanted to show progression in life but their idea of not keeping certain aspects of the characters was a great mistake. For it made the viewer confused if this was the same show or not. For example. you may have decided to watch this show given the blonds shown. In this show let's say you will see that but you won't. A true statement to don't judge a book by its cover.
I also understand some viewers like myself might find certain portions of the show; especially the first episode to be a tad bright but color tools weren't as great as they are now.
Overall: If plot was more the key aspect and characters remained true i don't see why this show wouldn't fair well. Although, with neither being true i can understand why this show did not fly off the shelves.

The ecchi genre exists since the beginning of full-length anime series with its first show coming out back in 1963 and that fact alone seems to be enough for its fans to justify everything about it. Overused to death clichés, terrible pacing, no characterization whatsoever and constant cocktease? It doesn’t matter, that’s what the genre was always about and you CAN’T judge it for that. Lots of derivative and repetitive shows coming out at the same time? It was always like that so SHUT UP. Well no, it wasn’t and here are four points to prove that: 1-The amount of ecchi shows coming out weren’tas much as they started to make since the early 00’s. If you look at the ecchi list on the site and display them for its started date, you will see shows from the 60’s and 90’s on the last page, which means they weren’t as much as today. Granted, there are ecchi shows from those decades not tagged as such, but even if you include those, the amount just isn’t nowhere near as much as today.
2-The focus of early ecchi were about slapstick comedies full of red humor while ecchi shows today are way too close to being porn that you just end up asking yourself why don’t they just make porn with those budgets? Well because they couldn’t show it on tv and then sell the Blu-rays versions without the censorship, that’s why.
3- The characters weren’t just walking fetishes that only want to jump on some beta male’s dick in early ecchi. Compare Honey Kisaragi or the female characters from Rumiko Takahashi’s stories with the characters from High School DxD or Sekirei and you’ll clearly notice the difference between them.
4- No, I’m not saying that there weren’t SOME shows like the ones that come out today back in the day, but even those should be judged with another mindset for two reasons: One: they were the first ones doing that so the concept was somewhat new and refreshing and; Two: they never aimed at being more than silly comedies, unlike ecchi from today that are about epic wars between mystical creatures, deities or inhuman species or, even worse, high school students, as if they are fighting shonen buried under done to death jokes and sleazy moments. What? That there were war dramas in space that showed some boobs already on the 80’s you say? Yes but never that much and never in the middle of serious moments expecting you to take them seriously like High School DxD. What? There were also shounen like A-Ko that were all about fighting and nudity you say? Yes, but they weren’t trying to be anything more than that, and, again, they were the first ones.
Well that was a long introduction and I didn’t even started to talk about the title I’m reviewing but it was all to make a point, which is 1+2= Paradise being one of those ecchi shows that I talk about in the aforementioned point #4. Is a retarded story about a beta male that out of nowhere has to live with two retarded big-boobed twins that the only thing they do is trying to seduce him and nothing more. And even this show does it better because the male main character (mc from here onwards) has an excuse to be afraid of women (an unbelievable, retarded and fucked up one, that is) and the girls don’t really just appear out of nowhere in his life because it is revealed that it was his father’s intention from the beginning and the girls knew him since they were children. Yup, that’s it; it went for the overused childhood friends cliché but, again, it was one of the firsts doing it.
The same thing can be said about its comical situations, they are the same overused jokes of today but for its time they were somewhat refreshing and I also have to point out how these jokes are used in a different manner, more extreme and over the top, but without feeling as if they belonged in a porn movie, they aren’t just guy walks in the bathroom and see girl naked, she then screams and slaps him, no; here the girl purposely goes to the bathroom with the guy, gets undressed and tries to seduce him, and they end being tied up together and almost get drowned in the most ridiculous way while the mc tries to fight against his trauma in order to save their lives.
So, if I excused all the bullshit in this show regarding its premise, humor and characters (at least for the mc) why do I give it a low rating? Because, believe or not, it betrays its premise and lacks continuity. In the second ova the protagonist stands the twins and they go to school together, not afraid of women all of sudden? Well no, he is still afraid of women. In the second ova a super popular school girl appears and wants every male to submit to her, mc included, something that Ranma ½ and Magic Kaito were doing before in manga format. He obviously rejects her due to his phobia but he’s ok with the twins for some reason and no, it is not any form of development because the change is too sudden and not even consistent and permanent since he still does not like being surrounded by the twins despite being already capable of live and go to school with them. Decide how you want to portray your mc already! Also, this turned into a generic school comedy now? Not even the art style looks remotely the same as the one from the first ova, it makes it feel like a completely different thing. Oh, and it lacks an ending, obviously.
So yeah, despite being a much better erocomedy than most of the bullshit pretentious soft-porn of today it’s still a generic ecchi that betrays its premise, doesn’t have much of a story and yet changes completely without having a proper conclusion with shitty characters. Oh, and since it came out during the economic crisis that Japan was going through in 1990, it looks terrible. Sound department ranges from passable to awful as well.

It follows the classic script of a traumatized boy (rightfully so, as they try to cut off something precious to him) and two twin sisters, who his father puts to live with him in order to try to end their trauma. Don't expect a great story, the plot of these OVA only revolves around situations full of ecchi and moderate nudity. In the second episode, a third competitor appears for Yusuke and the situations become more absurd. However, it's a completely fun cliché and ends up not being a waste of time. The already dated art delivers an old animation, but in my opinion it isstill beautiful. The problem was that the material found to watch appears to have been poorly recorded and perhaps this is a problem for some.

I started watching this anime because it was only two episodes. The only reason I didn't DNF this anime was for the same reason. Here's what I thought: Story: There really wasn't much of a story. Just a male character that is scared of girls, and a couple extremely overly sexualized female characters that want to get with the main character. Art: The art would be okay, for it's time, I'll give it that much. It's just that the art wasn't kept the same throughout the series. What I mean by this is, the twin characters have orange hair in the first episode, but in thesecond episode, they randomly have blonde hair. I guess they could have dyed their hair, but I just feel that the artist should have kept the hair color the same. It really bugged me, not gonna lie.
Sound:
There wasn't much sound, aside from the characters constantly yelling out the main male character's name. As for the music, nothing really jumped out to me that was that great.
Character:
There weren't many characters to judge this anime on. There was the main male character, the twin girls, the father, and a random female character introduced later on. The twins are just interested in sex, the male character only had his phobia going for him, the father was a creep, and the additional character added later was just weird.
Enjoyment:
I mean, I chuckled here and there during the first episodes. Just the situations the main characters ended up in were humorous. The second episode was just felt like a completely different show with the characters from episode one thrusted in there for no reason.

Want to watch a weird Anime that the main character is constantly running around scream and the background music blares loud out of no where? How about annoying twins and tons of tits everywhere? Yes? well here is the anime for you. Story 3/10 Everything goes on too fast so the story seems all over the place, I honestly only completed it because i knew it was short. Art 4/10 The character art doesn't feel the same as the scenery art at all. I do like the old school 90's look of how the characters were drawn tho but I feel like I've seen better in other anime's aroundthis time.
Sound 2/10
They never seemed to take a breath at all, I feel like the background music also was too loud in some scenes that you could barley even hear what the characters are saying. (Thank god for subtitles) I feel like if they could just take a break a bit more and turn down the background volume on the scenes this could be okay.

The Main character is always screaming, the twins are annoying, the other characters aren't memorable, so besides the 90's style look which i like there isn't much going for them.

I won't be watching this again, I wish they had slowed things down, made the sounds better and MAYBE i could give it a 4 or 5 out of 10, but im sorry, I hated every second of it.
