The story centers on an introverted high school student named Eiji Hoshimiya with a huge secret—he wished for the destruction of the world when he was younger. Fairies give certain people special powers called Orders, and what Order Users can do with their power depends on their wishes. Ten years after the Great Destruction, Eiji struggles to come to terms with his immense power. (Source: ANN)

This OVA series can be described in simple terms. I'm pretty sure everyone will have the same idea after finishing this OVA: What the fuck am I watching? Seriously some random events happen, and some cool looking scenes are being showed. There is no such thing as an overall story connecting scenes. At some point your brain might even start hurting from even trying to understand what is going on in this show. Still I kinda liked it though. I think I may asume this OVA serves as some sort of preview for the upcoming anime. If that is the case they did one thing right: theysure made me curious for a good explanation for what I just watched. So summarized watch this if you are curious about why the hell I'm so confused or if you want to have a WTF moment for yourself. Anyway enjoy either way.
The OVA is kind of confusing without having watched the rest of the series. Chronologically it's implied to occur after the main series. It is similar to parallax dream theory I wrote in 2006 and appeals to the Japanese hard-boiled wonderland type of fiction. Essentially, the mental or metaphysical is a plane that connects all realities, and dreams are when you tap into the experiences of your self from alternate worlds. In this episode, though Eiji has cleared his world of Orders, other worlds exist where it still works. Certain encounters trigger crossover memories and feelings of deja vu. There's no real plot to this episode otherthan to illustrate this point. It is not necessary to watch but does add some complexity to the overall series.
--------------------- I think this OAV is definetely insteresting to watch if you already know the story. So watch it after reading the manga or even watching the TV series. If you watch if before doing that you won't understand what's going and who the characters are. Plus, it could spoil some events of the tv series. But anyway, the animation is pretty cool, the characters are interesting... It is a story with supernatural events and it the kind of story that I personnally, like.So I will go further in the TV series and come back finish this OVA later...
This has the same concept of, for making an example, the first episode of Haruhi Suzumiya's first episode. You don't know wtf you are watching, and it literally spoils all. But it has to be seen before the series anyway imho. It got released before the TV version for a reason. I will also cover the TV series when i'll finish it, atm i am at epidose 5, and the only flaw that i found was that failed fanservice scene at the start of episode 5. This OVA covers chapter 7 of the manga, that is great. Sotry: 10 It is litterally all the story. Whatcan you say? It doesn't make fuk ups. I like mindfucks, and jeez that was perfect. Art: 8 Nothing outstanding, but good. Character design? Mirai Nikki-ish. Am i a Sakae Esuno fanboy? Nope. I didn't even like Mirai Nikki. 6/10.I think that it needs to be remaked with decent graphics and a character devlopement that works. I kinda like more the design of "Not-Yuno-Gasai" rather than the original Yuno. Sound: 7 Nothing is really shown, but the OST is decent. Voice acting? Ok. Character: 9 Well, there isn't Taira here, that i hate from the bottom of my heart, so yeah. Enjoyment: 10 I like mindfucks. Overall: 10 It set me up for the series, this is one of the best OVA i've ever seen. Maybe the series wont'be as good as this, but it's ok.
This is one of the worst things I have ever seen. The first few minutes are good, it is not something remarkable, but it is the best of the whole OVA and that is not a good thing to say. The rest is pretentious nonsense that cannot stand on its own. The characters don't even come out of their initial intro and are hollow as hell. The story might sound interesting at first, but it turns into chaos soon after. The animation is decent, but nothing remarkable other than being the most consistent look. This is all I have to say about this mess, you don't miss nothing and ifyou see it, it's a waste of time.
Sorry, but...what's the point of this OVA again ? It doesn't contribute with anything to the main story. It is incoherent and disconnected since the multi-verse sequences do not make any sense at all. It helps nothing to further understand the characters. To be honest, there is only one word that can describe watching this OVA : pointless. I honestly do not have much to add to this short review, the OVA is nothing more than that : pointless, pointless, and pointless. The other problem with the sequences is that they are repetitive which makes you wonder "why do we have to go over this again ?", beyond thechange of background they do not change anything to the sequence.
Big Order/Big Order OVA Anime Review By: Sakae Esuno Dated: June 02 2020 Plot: If all people can get what they want, if we all can live life the way we want it, if all of our wishes can come true, how awesome it can be? But don't you think that living with struggles are more beautiful? Achieving your goal, attaining your dreams, having the capability to get what you want because you work hard for it is more satisfying than having it without any efforts done on your end. The series revolves around a young man 'Eiji' living in a world where certain people got a holdof powers called 'Orders'. Being one of them, Eiji refuses to use his power as he blames himself for the world destruction happened 10 years ago. After living in silent for years, an association with the intention of using him suddenly makes a move, threatening his sister's safety giving him no choice but to obey. As the series goes on, revelations come in sight, and individual beliefs will crash with one another. Characters: Yandere characters can be really satisfying to see. If were talking about yandere, the first thing most of us think is Yuno, the girl who's really crazy. Having the same author as Mirai Nikki (Future Diary), there's the same case where the girl 'Rin' is kind of Yuno. Though I think that she's more of a tsundere than yandere along the story. Her character waiver and she became soft after meeting Eiji. I think, it isn't that easy to get over the hate she should've had for him. In a way, Eiji's character is great. He was weakminded at first, yes. But when situation needs it, he moves and thinks, making the power he has in use. Sound and Animation: I really find Eiji's character quite funny. The deep tone used on him when giving orders is out of character for me. While Daisy's character is so cute, she reminded me of CC. Though I'm really into long hair handsome character like Yoshitsune Hiragi. The animation, the action scenarios was really good. I love this animation most. It was not that advanced, but the color scheme is easy on the eyes. The characters image are cool, just a shame that most of them don't have that chance to stand out more. Enjoyment: Questions and mysteries made for viewers can really make it exciting. How the world destruction takes place? What really is Eiji's power? Who will be the enemy? Who is Daisy? The series only takes up 10 episodes. It was a short watch with a little time to know the characters more. The idea of the story is great, however, I think that it was not explained properly. It was like there's more explanation they wanted the viewers to see, it feels like they want something more of the characters beliefs to be justified but failed to do so. Also, there are scenarios that I think doesn't really make sense at all and just a filler of that episode such as the pregnancy part. Ending: Happiness is something one should make on his own. If you want to be happy, you will do things that makes you feel it. It is not something someone should wish for you. That makes it unreasonable for me. Wishing happiness for someone is natural, but having the capability to make it happen, does this really make that someone happy? It made me think that the ending where all of them live a peaceful life is just an illusion made by his power. What if? What if the world they're living in really became just an illusion because of what he wished for? --With the OVA as its continuation, Eiji will experience different scenarios of him after granting his wish to Daisy. His dreams became his reality. His reality became just his dream. There are different options he can live by and different world to choose from. Now, isn't it possible? That the world he wished for is just a fantasy perceive by their eyes?
