From what would seem like an awesome action thriller from the first episode, the rest is utterly disappointing. After the story is set up in the first ep, they go and make up another story within that story which turns from action, to some random drama in one end, and incest in the other end. You know that picture that's posted here? You'll you never see her in that or even hold a gun. The guy cant even last for more than twenty seconds. So if you're going for an action hentai, just watch the first episode. If you don't care for the storythen go ahead and watch all of them but the scenes are rather quick.

Heartwork's plot centers around a cursed gun who's original owner is a hitman called "The Hunter", and when anyone comes into possession of this gun, they turn down a dark path of violence and sex. I don't know if was to be on the nose with a "guns are bad" message, but that's how it comes off. Either way, it's an incredibly lame plot. You might be asking, why am I complaining about the plot of a hentai? Because the plot takes up half the hentai, and if they didn't want me to watch the plot, the plot wouldn't take up so much of theanime.
The cops also know about this cursed gun, since it seems to pop up at so many crime scenes. Which would have been interesting if it went anywhere. On top of that, the series tries it's hand at philosophy, having narration that talks about "destiny being pre-determined" and "choosing your own path to walk". I don't know why this is part of the plot, and is so clumsily put in that I'm left wondering why it's in there at all. But unfortunately, what we're stuck with is a terribly executed plot that goes nowhere and a lot of lame sex.
Well, if you're not into the plot, is the sex worth watching? Nope. Watching the sex scenes was a chore, which is not something you want with a porn. The male character in each sex scene cums about 2 seconds after each time they start fucking, right around when they're changing sex positions. It makes me wonder if the people animating this show knew that someone can last longer than a TV commercial when having sex.
There are parts that are also way too dark in tone, and features a mix of murder, rape, and borderline incest as part of the plot. I guess someone is into it, but it's way too off putting for most people to get into.
The anime also comes with some of the most atrocious CGI that I've seen to go with it's awful 2D animation. Who the fuck thought that an entirely CGI background would be good for a hentai? It's so distracting.This came out in 1997, when unless you had cutting edge CGI, your CGI was going to be atrocious. And even a lot the best CGI from that time hasn't aged that well.
I know that the voice acting in a hentai isn't supposed to be good, but the voice acting here, both in English and Japanese, is pretty bad. The English voice actors sound like they're embarrassed to even be in the booth recording this, and are trying to whisper through their lines as quickly as possible when they're not sounding incredibly bored.
When a character comes across a gun that another character has, they sound so bored, as if they just came across paint drying. Guns are a rarity in Japan, and if I came across something that was highly illegal, I wouldn't be talking as if I was watching a grass growing competition.
Some of the characters also try to act bad ass, which comes off as hilarious considering how the voice acting comes off as hilariously dreadful. One of the male character's sisters standing out as the prime example of the so-bad-its-good some of the dialogue can come out of this, and she has only two lines.
The voice mixing, sound effects, and general sound mixing are also terrible. Music and some of the other audio just cuts off, and a lot of the sound effects are just insufferably annoying to listen to.
There is so much hentai out there that you're bound to find some goof ones by simply throwing a stone and hitting one. And I imagine picking any random one of those would probably result in a much more enjoyable experience.

While not as stable in terms of (the execution of) plot, the only other anime I can think of that's like this is "Phantom's Requiem." And Phantom's a horrible, depressing, and WEAKSAUCE animu. Considering how it seems like the art and animation are all done on some old computer; the plot is merely a set-up for all the sex. Never mind that "cursed gun" and the sanity lost on those who possess it. DO mind the heavily-detailed genitalia in action. This is also a good example of how "pick your path" is executed via anime. The characters talk about it... And then the endings get depressingly bloody.Note that the woman in the cover doesn't get any. (Hot sex, I mean.) But the lot of the other hot chicks herein DO. :)...

WELL, Heartwork: Symphony of Destruction Now this is a one of a kind Hentai, it has some very interesting story aspects, like about the gun that makes it's owner go crazy. HM i wouldn't want that kind of gun. Yet it does look pretty. A story full of sex, every episode is kind of different situation and some things do not make sense. But the Hentai is very good, cause it looks like one of mainstream Anime, it has a good Opening Sequence with good music as like from some Action Animes, and an Ending Sequence which more calm and deeper. The Art and Sound arereally outstanding. Yet there are some flaws in the characters, like i already said, some things do not add up. For Example, the person that got brutally killed in the end of Episode 1, he is alive and very well in the Third Episode, really makes no sense. Oh yeah he is probably some immortal god, bullshit, i am meesing with you guys. Yet this Hentai is really enjoyable.
Overall a great Hentai, i recommend watching it to everyone.
