60 years ago, a strange case of insomnia struck the population, forcing them to stay awake for more than a full week. The victims, completely sleep deprived, all went mad. To cure this illness, a new medicine was produced, but the side effects turned the patients into vampires. Humanity went to war against this new species and triumphed, but some of the vampires managed to survive. Born from a Human and a Vampire, the main character Mi Liu, "The Child of Hope," is to represent the new hope that will connect the two species. Ringleader of a bank robbery, Mi Liu is arrested and transferred to a special prison of the National Defense Agency that monitors Vampires. Trying to break free with Anji, Mi Liu is attacked by strange monsters and he finds out that the prison location corresponds to the birthplace of Vampires, the old capital "Blue Town." Why are Vampires trapped in Blue Town? What are those strange monsters attacking them? Our heroes must fight to solve those mysteries.

I decided to watch this anime based on the plot listed on CrunchyRoll, and seriously regret that decision. The plot, from the description, seemed fairly interesting, but boy did they drop the ball on this anime. ~~~ SPOILERS POSSIBLY~~~ Lets start with the characters; Mi Lui: Generic "badass" with a winning personality. He's so predictable its sad. He also seems to be able to make these leaps in logic that make no sense unless you were the writer of this character. Anji: The tits of the operation. That's it. She has large tits and is almost entirely useless. Chen Fong: Doesn't wear a shirt. Cries a lot.Looks like a girl.
Lee Shin: An assassin who's afraid of women? What?
Yaya: Introduced to be... cute? I think? Nothing cute about her. She's annoying and unnecessary to the plot.
The plot:
What even is a plot? That's the question I assume the creator of this dumpster heap asked himself before penning this trash. He takes elements that COULD be interesting and then ignores what MAKES them interesting.
Magic holographic computer that has info about where the characters are? Used twice. Only used the second time to ham-fist the ending into place.
Bomb collars that detonate if you kill another person but give you one more day to live if you kill a monster? Never really touched on.
The MC's trying to save the orphanage they grew up in by robbing a bank? The orphanage has been closed for a while now and the director died. But whatever.
The prison is a destroyed city displaced in time? MC figures that out in the first day. Also; no explanation why.
Vampires? Lets make them less interesting than Twilight's vampires!
The quality of the animation is fine, I suppose. Its pretty much what you'd expect of an anime from the 2010's + time. There are moments when it seems the animation is 'off,' like they just could get the animation to match the scene properly.
In the end, don't watch this anime. Just, don't. Save yourself the time and watch something that's worth it. I hope and pray this anime dies in with the first season.

To be honest I’m not too sure where to start with this review so I guess I’ll just dive in. Bloodivores is, in my opinion, a beautiful work of half-assed animation that either tried to hard or didn’t try hard enough. Personally, I like the landscapes and inane amount of detail regarding small insignificant things, like the intricate cracks in the cement and old buildings. It makes it feel like someone really worked hard on this series. Sadly, I think that was the only thing they worked hard on. I will say out right that the concept and ideas behind Bloodivores is intriguing to me.It’s your typical survival game but with quite a few twists. There’s some possible ‘in game’ stuff going on. Some apocalypse feels going on, fantasy, and supernatural all bundled up into this one little package. Had it succeeded, I think it would have gotten an 8 or at the least a 7 on MAL. Sadly, none of these were looked into in depth during the 12 episodes. In fact, the whole thing kind of feels like a mega long series with how slow it develops but it is developing, just, in creepy crawly standards.
Now, for what you’ve all been waiting for- the good, the bad, and most importantly, the ugly! (Totally kidding, but I just had to say it.)
First up – Story/Plot
As I stated before, this series had some serious potential hidden beneath the ridiculous layers of ‘WTF is this’ and other nonsense. Had the time been given to the actual plot and not to the animation (which still pretty much failed in my opinion) I think we could have bumped this series up a few points on the MAL Scale. It pretty much feels like something that got a huge budget but then they didn’t know what to do with all that money so they were just like – “Landscapes?” “Landscapes.” “Spend all the money!” Lots of stuff is going on in Bloodivores and I like that a lot of information is just there and there isn’t a narrative (though I do like those). Sadly, with a hundred theories and ideas going and none actually being proved right or wrong you just end up with this huge ball of possibilities but nothing to honestly work with. There are a million little mysteries in Bloodivores and once you think you’ve figured one out they either drop it like a hot potato (in which you never get an answer) or your theory is completely shut down. There really isn’t an in-between for Bloodivores. You know, you think you know, and you don’t know. End of story.
Number 2 – Art
Moving on. The landscapes and scenery in general were pretty meticulous so it felt like it was a good high quality anime at times however, art is only one small part of an anime and thus just because you have awesome art doesn’t mean you have an awesome anime. Everything else was pretty half-assed. (Spoiler warning!) For instance, that lovely scene with what’s his face walking around with a freaking sword in his shoulder! I cannot even begin to describe my dismay when half the scenes didn’t show any blood on him. Like “whoops guys we’re running out of time here!” “Skip the blood, no one will notice!” “Are you sure, I feel like they’ll notice?” “I’m positive.” (I swear it must have happened.) So, let’s be honest here – no one gets up with a sword in their freaking shoulder and just walks the F around without any grimacing or hunching over! Doesn’t happen! And another thing! I feel like the monsters from this series had been taken from somewhere else, I’m thinking Blood + or something like that, so they weren’t surprising to me (though I suppose occasionally leaving behind a small human shaped concentrated crystal of blood is interesting). Fight scenes could be a bit on the lame side but I felt they were decent enough.
Champion number 3 – Character
Ho, Ho, Ho WTF! I’m all for a good hysterical cry once in a while in a SOL anime or one of those heart-wrenching tragedies like Tokyo Ghoul. As long as I can understand why the hell a character is crying and I can feel that pain with them, I have no qualms. (I mean who doesn’t want to cry when they see beautiful Kaneki carrying Hide down the street, ya know?) Anyways….whopsies…carrying on. The characters are really generic and while there’s a small amount of backstory for one or two there’s nothing for anyone else. You don’t understand what motivates them to do what they do or why they act the way they act. They’re complete strangers that you’re simply observing as they survive this death like game. The MC at least looks and acts a little cool however, I do prefer assassin dude since he’s actually badass. Anju…bitch please…stop crying all the time. The hysterics…OMG no. Just no. Way too much. Helloooo, check for a freaking pulse before you give people up for dead, yeah? Tch. Needless to say, she was a pain in the ass the entire series and honestly I don’t see how the series could have felt her loss, in fact, I know they would have been just fine. I was ecstatic when she died…and then she was no longer dead (seriously you’re worst choice this whole series guys). There is ZERO character development. Anju seems to make a comeback in episode 12 but honestly, she was just as annoying as she was before and since there was no progressive development it feels fake and being the last episode didn’t help matters. It was just an utter fail.
Numba 4 – Enjoyment
Eh. Ehhhhhhh. EEEhh. I can’t believe I just wasted all that time on one series that mounted to a handful of WTFs and an ‘Oh, that could have been cool.’ It was pretty to look at sometimes but overall it was more frustrating. There are lots of ideas and theories going on in the background with Bloodivores but sadly none of them are expounded upon so you end up with a whole lot of possibilities but nothing solid. And seriously, what was up with that after credits BS? You planning on making a second season or something? Let dead things stay dead please…(unless they’re characters I loved, then you’re welcome to bring them back).

For me, Bloodivores is the most magnificent dumpster fire of the season. There is plenty on this season that is not great and boring, but this at least does you the courtesy of being actively interesting in its seemingly utter ineptitude. In brief: Story: Incomprehensible? A group of vampires with Battle Royale collars around their necks are trapped in a prison with scary monsters, only some of them have secret super powers. I find myself unable to say if there is an overarching plot or if it is just a series of beige set pieces that the characters wander between because that is where the script saysthey are.
Characters:
Our main character Mi Lu, is a vampire/superhero/computer. He receives 0 character development. This is reminiscent of the rest of the characters, all of whom sport unlikable personalities, bland design, and little to no explanation of backgrounds or motivations. It's almost like they skipped this part and were just like "mmm you figure it out."
There is also the most annoying child to darken a screen since Newt from Aliens. God help us all, she's awful.
Art: Not that I've seen so far.
Sound Design: See "Art"
Enjoyment: A whole bunch. If something is going to fail, it should fail as explosively as this show seems to be doing. I find myself both completely perplexed and thoroughly charmed by the idea that this show got both funded and made. It's like watching a small child fall on its face: it's horrible, and you feel terrible about yourself after, but damn if it not entertaining as hell.

I gave this anime 9/10 and i think it deserves much more then other people gave that anime only because they score high only the "mainstream". In my opinion anime have really interesting plot and its good variation about "vampires". Yes bloodivores are basically more science related vampires. Anime is based on Chinese manhwa and i dint read it so i cant and i will not score this anime based on how "true" it is to it paper original. Story is great trust me only sad thing is it doesn't advance that much and ends in "cliffhanger" so the second season maybe will be made. Animationis really god but its not beast I've seen, would be great if characters and background would have more details. And if we speak about characters they are really good, maybe not so awesome deep but they have they story and secrets.
Sound and music in this anime is medicore, dont get me wrong its not annoying its just not getting "into ear".
I really enjoyed this anime and i think its one of better anime in last season so just try.

I expected this to be a great anime but i was so wrong about it.ep 01 was interesting first 10 minutes but after that it all went the wrong way.I finished the anime because i had nothing else to do and honestly i seen worse but i seen way way better anime then this.I usually give 7 or more to anime that i liked and for me to give it a score of 5,that is something that doesn't happen very often _Plot_ : Everything is covered in mystery and instead of revealing some of them with almost every episode we get new ones and plot justbecame worse and worse,don't get me wrong its not terrible show but its not something i would recommend either
_Characters_ : there is almost no development here,MC is cold blooded most of the time and when he shows his caring side its still lacking proper emotions for us to connect with him,His friend/gf (they are still working on it) Anji is worthless,she finally do something in final 2 episodes but even then its not much and first 10 episodes she is just in the way.We also have an assassin,OP criminal as antagonist,their 2 friends who aren't even needed in the story since they pretty much don't help with the plot or anything.

I hope that if there will be S2 they will work on it and make it better then this one and honestly unless S2 comes out this show is not something that needs to be watched,ofc everyone has the right to their opinion and some might even love this anime but for me and many others its mediocre,the choice is yours but i would wait for S2,if that doesn't happend then just move on to the next anime

Bloodivores is a decent POS based on a Chinese manhua with superb art and animation. While many people are quick to judge on calling this anime one of the worst creations and adaptations simply because of its source material (somewhat racial undertone, no?) and relatively unknown producer, I found the anime enjoyable at times. Let's be frank, Bloodivores is a full-fledged, whole season anime production that is a Chinese-Japanese collaboration of many more projects, hopefully, to come. Outside of Art, Sound and Animation, the anime doesn't live up to any expectations and falls far short, of I think, even the suits at Haoliners. It really has aterrible story, with little to no character development that has led me to give this a 4 on the enjoyment scale and a 6 overall.
After the first episode, I did a bit of research on the source material to see how well it compares to the anime and based on several chapters, the manhua's story is at fault for the terrible story in the animation. There is no cohesion nor character build-up or back-story and anime actually tried to provide that with original content and pace. The story itself in both versions, while pretty much the same, is not original or bring something new that hasn't been seen before.
The one aspect of the manhua and the anime which has remained consistent is the Art. Surprisingly, it is equal if not better to the current art styles of the anime and manga industry. One would think because it is a manhua, the artist would put a Chinese spin similar to well-known manhua like Bowling King, but the artist took a different direction.
Due to the art style which caters favourably to both the Chinese and Japanese market, I believe Haoliners took on the project while Tencent (one of the largest Chinese investment companies that has a foot in everything from video games like League of Legends to social media and IM) marketed it to both the Chinese and Japanese anime industries.
Given the current state of the Japanese anime industry where studios are literally scrambling to find the next big thing, running out of original ideas and trying to avoid producing sequels and adapting bad manga (because some manga artists refuse to sell-out), we will be seeing more Chinese and Japanese collaborative works in the same vein as Bloodivores that will hopefully have better stories and characters. Bloodivores, I think is test-bed to better works from the Chinese anime industry and I really hope to see more.
P.S. I know they can produce quality anime as we've seen in their films, but we desperately need seasonal anime that can live up to those standards.

I know I put this anime at a 1 but, honestly its the best 1 you will ever watch. After finishing this anime I couldn't decide between giving the anime a score of 9 or 1. still not sure BTW. But the reason for this is because it is the greatest shit storm I've ever watch. While me and the homies are stuck in quarantine hundreds of miles apart. We watch anime together and this is a great anime to watch with friends. Get a group of the boiis together and laugh at the mess that is bloodivores. SUPER MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD So the only thingleft to say I guess is why its so bad.
To start with the story. I still am not sure what it is. The anime makes rules then breaks them the next second. It's like every character in the anime both the MCs and the extras seem either idiotic or deaf or both. Cuz as soon as we are told one thing it's like they didn't hear it or just chose to ignore it. At one point dozens of people are told everyone in this room is a bloodivore. Then the next 3 episodes are full "wait he's a bloodivore?" "that girl is a bloodivore?" "I'm a bloodivore????". everything that's introduced just makes no sense or is a lie and isn't actually explain that it was a lie cuz they keep repeating it like its the truth. TIME PARADOX BTW
The art is actually amazing. This part isn't even sarcasm or satire or anything. I genuinely mean its amazing. its amazing how lazy the animation got. I mean in the second episode the MC breaks his fucking neck just leaning back. Every flashbang is actually a small atomic bomb for some reason. There are just random 3-5 second breaks that I think the video is buffering but nope, they just randomly froze a frame for like 5 seconds for no reason. Sometimes when another character starts talking you can tell the animator forgot anyone else was in frame either that or all the characters are playing the most intense game of red light green light I have ever seen because they will just stop moving no matter how awkward the position. Also full-auto shotgun.
The sound. Well, its either amazing or terrible and I honestly have no idea. I was too distracted by the rest of the shit show to see if the sound engineering was on point.
Enjoyment. FUCKING 10. god I loved the experience of watching this with friends. If you don't have friends maybe it's not a watch for you but it might still be funny by yourself.
Overall 1 or a 9. its really hard to say could go either way.

Well... How to start off this review... This anime lacks a lot of things, there is no character development and their personalities are VERY predictable (your usual main with protector syndrome, the loyal friend, the one who leaves and sadly, the useless big-boobed girl). The story had actual potential, as a survival/psychological anime, however it was handled awfully. I honestly think the idea was good and fairly original, but just when the story started to be a little bit interesting, it finishes and leaves you with a very bad taste on your mouth because none of the big points of the plot are explained nor tied up, sothe feeling you are left with is: why the hell did I watch this?
The reason why I finished it was that I was hoping for something to happen chapter after chapter, yet everything that happens in this anime doesn't really make sense, and if it does, it's not properly developed.
To be fair, the most enjoyable thing for me was the opening, and the art and animation were pretty good, but personally I'd rather watch an anime with a great story and lower quality animation than something like this.
I hope this review was helpful and easy to read, you choose if you wanna watch this or not, but I think there are lots of better options out there.

Never has a story squandered so much potential so profoundly. Honestly it started off pretty good. Fantastic mystery, constantly dropping little hints but never revealing too much, constant twists and turns to keep you guessing. And then halfway through... it kinda forgot what story it was trying to tell. I felt like I was watching a completely different series. They'd occasionally go back to trying to fill in some of the missing pieces for like, 2 minutes, and then, nah. Let's just watch them fight more beasties with no context as to what's going on and have the female characters cry some more. Ughhhhhhhhhh. I wanted tolike this. I wanted to see the pieces of the puzzle being put together. I STILL want to see the pieces put together cuz that was way more interesting than all the generic fight scenes and emotional constipation between the characters. But, no. It ended with way more questions than answers, and I got the feeling that even if I bothered to read the source material, it still wouldn't answer much.

Such a low score? But why? Well, because it is objectively bad. Now from the very start, from the opening, you understand that there isn't much to expect from the anime since even the opening is so bland, even the title looks like it was made in wordary. Very Bad. The stlye as in the animation is at first glance good looking, but once you get past the first episode, dear lord it gets derpy. At points, people just look straight out of 7 years old drawing books, their faces are mangled and some scenes are plain ugly. And don't get me started with the core of theanime, the plot. It is a complete mess. If you have only seen the first episode, then yeah, you don't know how bad it is since it seems coherent but it is TREMENDOUSLY MISLEADING. After the first episode, it's like a sudden drop in quality, pretty much hitting rock bottom. The questions start coming about everything ranging from who they are, why are they doing that to where they got their powers from. And those aren't even small questions, they are story related ones, that have a big impact.
I think this one scene summarises it all. You have a dragon flying in the sky. Why? What? Nobody knows, it is never explained and you never see it again.

From start to finish Bloodivores was a god awful train wreck that tried to do literally everything and the kitchen sink at the same time. It tried to be a mystery/action/romance/Sc-fi/horror(?) and failed at all of them. If anything it should have classified itself as a comedy because all it got out of me was a good chuckle at the sheer stupidity of the story and some of its scenes. One of my favorite scenes involved a character being stabbed and suddenly they act as if they were not stabbed in every other scene afterward. Honestly the only thing saving this anime from a 1 isits OP and ED. They sound nice and have better animation then the actual show.
If you are looking for an anime that will give you a good laugh through how awful it is go ahead and watch Bloodivores, the first 2 episodes will fulfill that niche. Anything past that will probably make you question why you started watching anime in the first place.

Bloodiverse is the representation of the 'random bullshit go' meme. Every event happening in the anime has no explanation and you be prepared to follow this rule: expect the unexpected all the time. Nothing is explained, nothing is foreshadowed, stuffs just happen because why not. There is no established rule for the world, no worldbuilding, and literally any shit can happen: from someone becoming a werewolf to someone becoming a blade by touching a naked red statue found inside tremors monsters. Also the contrast tone of the series trying to force a 'drama' tone while ridiculous stuff are happening on screen is hilarious... Don't know ifthis effect was intended but some characters behaviour are just hilarious while the tone and music makes it feel like we are supposed to be feeling sad...

the new studio in the block Namu animation the creators of THE OUTCAST present to you their new Chinese cartoon Bloodivore. a step up from their first and only work, but sill falls flat on it's face... story- the story isn't all that good, from the very first episode there is a bunch of info-dumping and exposition for world building that when looked at very closely doesn't make that much sense or even that plausible. there are supposed to be humans and vampire like creatures living side-by-side with the only thing differentiating them is a collar that the vampires wear . even then the collars don'tdo much except signal that the person is going berserk, but by the time the police arrive a lot of normal people would already have been dead. back to the show it goes to the main group robbing a bank with the only thing disguising them is a small mask covering half their face, and nothing else. nonetheless they get captured and sent to prison. at the end of the episode they are escorted to prison, but than get surrounded by armed men who shoot the van. oh no! they're all dead... oh wait the preview show that they are just fine.
after that the story progresses like this. they find themselves in prison, monsters come from nowhere and start killing the prisoners, Mi Liu has special powers that let him fly called hemocracy or some shit like that, more monster, side characters doing side character things, there are other hemocracy people, flashbacks and dream moments, there is more monsters killing people and people killing monsters, Anji also has special powers, and finally some monster gets killed and a women appears leaving the show in a cliffhanger for a second season. to many ideas were thrown around in the making of this show, but none of them meshed well with each other leaving a mess of a product.

animation- the animation isn't that bad. it's a bit below par for the course, but it does hold much consistency throughout the show. the character designs are ok, but none of them are memorable or stand out that much. the background is okay, but it's also nothing much but ruins throughout the show

characters- the main focus of the show were Mi Liu, and Anji. even though the show also had to other characters with them at the beginning they mostly end up in the side lines with everyone else. even the the two main leads feel bland as hell, making their personality as memorable as their appearances. every one else feels one note, and whenever I see them enter the story i'm like "who are you again?". there is also zero to none character development. you just see characters do things along the way, but leaves no permanent changes in their personality.

enjoyment- i didn't enjoy the show that much, but i also don't hate the show. it's just a bland boring show that will be as easily forgotten as the years go by. i can't find a specific thing to say that i enjoy about it, but all the things i don't like about it aren't in the extremeness of hatred.

This anime is basically Tokyo Ghoul x Deadman Wonderland and I was quite disappointed... Story:5/10 The story was quite whack, a spin off of different anime's such as the ones I listed above, It was confusing, from the first episode... I still don't understand it I'm completely baffled. Predictable plot, useless characters, no character depth. This is why I don't like watching anime's that are only 12/13 episodes if there will be no sequel because they are Rubbish!!! Art:3/10 For once I got something to say about the art. It was terrible, some of the characters looked okay but some of the angles looked like my 4 yearold sister's doodling. It was horrible...

Only good part is when they are in the crate and or trapped. Then it goes terrible. Some have powers for some reason, there is some tragic past. Then it becomes kill each other in crate. Then some monsters appear. When they have to kill each other there are weapons everywhere. After they clear some monster in building thing they form some teams to kill. Protagonist goes separate ways and other mains get split up. They then meet each other and one or two main die (don't remember) Eventually find some clues from past, find a girl with some powers and then cliffhanger. Story-3Art-5

What's worse?, that this anime actually HAS cohesion, or that LA just doesn't care about ANYTHING about this anime?. Bloodivores is the start of the Japanese-Chinese collaboration animations and it's already has a bad reputation, this is the anime that solidifies this statement. Ok, right down to the technical shall we and we have A LOT to unpack in this one...strap in and start boring yourself through this sludge-fest. Let's get to it's flaws for this anime. Let's start with it's characters, the entire cast are entirely stock with one type of personality you kinda expect from a shounen "horror" anime. From Mi Liu voiced by Kenji Akabanethe main protagonist and the "Child of Peace" being both half human and half bloodivore and he's your typical nice guy hero that does no wrong, Win Chao voiced by Shouhei Yamaguchi the asshole and the naive idiot, Anji Zo voiced by Eri Kitamura, the token female and local damsel in distress and Chen Fong voiced by Mitsuhiro Ichiki......ummm the other nice guy???. Yeah you probably know what LA's beef is with our main cast...their stereotypical and not much else that makes ANY of these characters interesting even with their backstory it doesn't help. For minor characters or villains, the minor cast are nothing but support characters that tag along with the main cast or just disappears then REAPPEARS out of nowhere, if anything the minor characters either stall for time to bring us already known information or just faffs around (those being Lee Shin voiced by Takuya Satou, Cho Ifen voiced by Natsue Sasamoto, Lai voiced by Tadashi Miyazawa and Yaya voiced by Arisa Nakada), villains?, there is "one" by the name of Yao Lou voiced by Show Hayami, but him being a "threat" to the main cast is only through a power struggle that NEVER comes to a proper battle and he's merely "evil" for evils sake with a smug bastard personality and OP as hell character just to emphasize his "evil villain" status . With this kind of a scope of the characters.....do you blame LA by saying that LA doesn't give a crap about any of the characters one way or the other?.
Next would be the plot itself and the plot is as erratic as it's pacing. For one, we get dumped right into a bank robbery and then into a prison, then it becomes a survival game with monsters out for blood to the inmates stuck in this space-time prison the main protagonist just SOMEHOW knows this, then we go into backstories for the main cast with some deaths for "suspense"...LA pretty much explained the first HALF of the anime in a SENTENCE. This kind of pacing doesn't help the characters as they are more reacting to the plot than acting on their own accord to it. The plot doesn't have a good mystery hook either, because if your expecting the many questions like what the space-time prison Aori is?, What does this have to do with the Child of Peace Mi Liu?, Why are the monsters attacking and killing the inmates for and what the entire survival game is about?, What is the mystery link to Anji to the space-time prison?, Who's Yaya?...YUP NONE are answered by the anime's run utterly killing any notion LA would try to get interested in the plot AT ALL. Ohh and to add salt to the wounds, expect the main cast to just blurt exposition just to fit into their circumstances like the anime is literally making it up as it's going along and the more obvious flaw is the ending NEVER resolving ANY of the mysteries it brought to the plate and it just DID NOT EXPLAIN ANY OF IT, instead it wanted to faff around with a different subplot that has NOTHING to do with the main cast or it's mysteries. The ONLY thing the ending managed to explain was the bank robbery but that seriously does not suffice as the ending resolved ONE plotline...only to bring in even more questions by the end of it AND to bitchslap you in the face, the ending...left on a cliffhanger, no fucking seriously, like Bloodivores had an inkling of a chance it's gonna get a second season...HA HA HA.
Next and finally is the animation done by Creators in Pack and NAMU Animation aaaaaaand it's animation is bland to the BEST LA can say about it. LA doesn't know, the character designs are distinct at best but with LA not giving a crap about ANY of the characters is a sliver lining that the characters are distinguishable. The animation especially the latter 3/4's CLEARLY shows animation derps from it's facial expressions to just awkward scenes. The animation also has tendencies to both linger its shots FAR too much, like 3 to 4 seconds far too long (and this happens mind you during TRANSITION SHOTS or when characters just finished speaking making it all the more easier to bring attention the lingering moments!) like the animation is barely trying to keep the quota of 20 minutes and this heavily affects the battle scenes where it becomes increasingly stiff and breaks the tension of the majority of the fights because it's just slow or stiff in it's movements when fighting and some physics defying battles because FUCK IT bloodivores doesn't mean vampires...it's just another fancy name for humans with double-edged superpowers...no seriously.
OK.....with the unpacking of the flaws...it's not gonna be too hard to say what little strengths this anime has and that is.....
The voice acting is passable though it's not saying much. The anime had "out of sync" moments, but THAT is only because of the Chinese-first dubbing, thus "some" moments tended to be slightly off sync compared to the "original dub" in Chinese where the Japanese vocals ends quicker than the mouth flaps only adding to the lingering moments but not in the good way. But that can be given some grace though sometimes the syncing is really terrible at times. The entire voice cast is still ok at best, from Kenji Akabane, Shouhei Yamaguchi, Mitsuhiro Ichiki and Show Hayami but Eri Kitamura had it in the worst position as Anji, what with her damsel in distress status, she was tolerable...albeit annoying but be it Eri Kitamura or the voice cast, it's not the voice actors fault...it's their bland characters.
The story is cohesive, now LA isn't saying that the story is brilliant because of it's cohesiveness, no the characters do and say some stupid shit and the plot feels like it loses focus away from the bigger picture and mysteries it never gets to be unraveled, no the simplest praise LA will give it is that Bloodivores manages to make the story very easy to know what's going with all the connections it has made..............-sigh- you know where the problem lies in this defense and it's the obvious that the cohesiveness of all the connections never actually connects or hell the anime never tells us, but still it's one little strength LA found in the deluge of boring material LA found...so that's something right?...ohh who is LA kidding!?!?!???!?!?!?!?.
For this being a Japanses-Chinese collaboration foray, it already gave a bad first impression on LA (though technically SECOND what with Soul Busters and THAT eyesore, but that was an anime short, Bloodivores is a FULL length 20 minute, 12 episode anime...but semantics and you get LA's point)...from the stiff and lingering animation, the animation derps aplenty, bland to easily despisable characters, erratic pacing and mood-whiplashing moments and LA's nail in the coffin with this anime being that the anime NEVER answered ANY of LA's questions that could get LA interested in the world or characters, the anime's ok voice cast and the story cohesion isn't obviously enough for this anime to be "so good it's bad", as it is just boring. Considering there is more of these Japanese-Chinese collaboration animes on the way, LA isn't expecting much...let alone sees this kind of collaboration a "good idea" and Bloodivores as a defense isn't helping in the slightest.
Interested in what LA said about Bloodivores?, or is slightly curious?, then don't....watch Deadman Wonderland instead...it has a MUCH better prison-survival-style anime plot, with better horror elements, better mysteries and main characters that matters in the long run. LA needs to put an addendum to LA's Fall 2016 anime, Bloodivores might as well be running mates to with Soul Busters as the 2nd WORST anime for Fall 2016.

I really enjoyed Bloodivores so I gave it a rating of 9/10 stars. In my opinion this anime deserves a second season. Although the characters seemed a bit one dimensional at some times the overall story was captivating and interesting. I also thought that the general idea is a very good one because it is original and theorizes problems we have in reality too. It is not a normal vampire story and I thought the role Mi Liu played in it was very engrossing. The story was fluent and at the end I was really curious how the whole story would continue ina following season.

The first couple of episode set the scene of a battle royale/lord of the flies type show, where the prisoners are brought to an uninhabited land where they have to learn to live and defend themselves from giant purple monsters. There's suppose to be a mystery here along with proper tension between the prisoners, who are all criminals. But there's none of that. Sadly, the story doesn't make sense, the characters are never developed, and the ending is a cliffhanger. A cliffhanger, when we already don't know anything that's going on and don't really care about things. Bloodivores is a huge disappointment. Not good at all, which isa shame since this did have potential to be a great show.

ENG: It's the worst anime I've ever watched, it doesn't have any context or emotion in the story. it only talks about another world that has a collar. In the end there is no continuation. It doesn't make any sense. The positive point is that the characters seem interesting and the story alone is very difficult to develop. PT/BR: É o pior anime que já assisti, não tem nenhum contexto ou emoção na história. só fala de outro mundo que tem coleira. No final não há continuação. Não faz sentido. O ponto positivo é que os personagens parecem interessantes e a história por si só é muito difícilde desenvolver.
