There is nothing in it. It's not funny, not cute, not touching, not even eye pleasing, nothing. It's so bad it doesn't even deserve an ironic review which would only lure people into thinking "it's so bad it's good", but it's not the case. So what do we got here? We are in a world where young males are chosen at school by weird creatures to become their wives. The young males have no prior knowledge of the creatures, have never spoken with them, and yet they all seem very pleased and instantly fall in love. The creatures range from small piggy like things to hugebear like creatures, not to forget female one winged cyclops twins. To make things better, half of those creatures do not speak. How do they reproduce? No idea, and the show won't give a clue (fortunately!).
One day, the main protagonist, whose name I already forgot, is chosen as a mate by (Ba)Kanenogi-san. A speechless 2.5 meters high creature, stupid enough to continuously bump his head on the wall above the door until the MC tells him to bend down... But everything is well, because Bakanenogi-san's fur is so fluffy... Oh yeah, Bakanenogi-san eats bricks too, something that I guess was supposed to be funny. Ahem.
Everything in this show is bad. The art is subpar, as is the animation. As for the sound, yep, pretty bad as well. I could do with all this if at least it was funny, but alas, the humor is nonexistent. This is really appalling. Yes, I get it's a 3 minutes show, but some 3 minutes animes achieve much more than this. I really enjoyed "Aiura" (4 minutes) a few years ago. Yesterday I laughed a lot wathcing "Orenchi no Furo Jijou" (4 minutes), and "Teekyuu" with its frantic pace manages to be funny in 2 minutes. "Jingai-san no Yome" just sucks.
Seriously, even the infamous "Mars of Destruction" is a hundred times better than this piece of crap, and that is saying! Yes, it is that bad.

So... This is my first review so go easy on me. This anime is basically about 4 couples, all of them constituted by one human (a teenage boy in the case) and one supernatural creature (that goes from a kind of yellow and superfluffy bear to cyclope twins, being the twins married with the same guy). It shows their daily life basis as a married couple, the "wifes" taking care of the house and sometimes even doing more romantic stuff like going on a date. Story: I give it a 6, although I enjoyed it I recognize that the story is plain, there's no drama orwhat so ever, it's a pretty white and simple slice of life I would say.
Art: I give it a 6 again, the characters are cute, especially the creatures, but , again, simple. There's nothing wrong about it being simple but there's nothing that you could call eye catching.
Sound: A 7, I liked the score, it wans't bad, especially the ending, through out the 12 episodes there was not even a single time I skipped the ending, it was fun and it goes pretty well with the whole anime.
Character: It's a 7, again, some of them are cute, pretty adorable but... I mean, they are a bunch of guys that married a bunch of creatures, they have moments when they are really adorable but sometimes they can also be a little way too boring.
Enjoyment: It's a 8, despite all I really enjoyed it, it was different, it's not an anime for all the otaku community to watch but it's worth watching, for the right people.
Overall: Its a 7, I liked it, it's not the worst anime I ever watched, also not the best but I still had a really good time watching it. If you want a little romance, a little yaoi, a small slife of life and a ending you can dance to, this is a good shot.

A show like Jingai-san no Yome merits a simple review. It's a simple show and there isnt much to it but it is nice for those that are like me and like what its selling. The show revolves around cute boys and weird creatures that pick them as their wives. Note: not husbands, wives. You may wonder how any of that makes sense and why they would be wives but that's part of the appeal of the show Its basically monster boy x human boy yaoi featuring the human boys thrown into the wife role. It resembles art and scenarios I've seen on deviantart andtumblr. Espeically with how the boys are designed. They look less conventional and more scene-like, with multicolored hair, messy or long hair, and sometimes often scowls.
In my eyes it's clear what this anime is marketed towards. And for that market I think it's a decent show that provides some cute moments between the boys and gives the heartwarming romantic moments that one wants to see. As someone looking forward to the anime originally while I wish it could have been more in depth it at the very least didn't fail in providing me something I enjoyed and hit the base notes that it needed to.
That said because it's so barren it's really only for fans of this subsection of yaoi and those that want to see cute boys becoming wifes. While it does that fine there nothing else to the show and nothing that'd merit someone from outside that taste to watch. Which basically brings it down to this, if you like what its offering it's a good use of 36 minutes. And if not, then the show probably isnt for you. Which is fine. Personally I think what it does right is fine enough.

What makes an effective psychological horror? Is it the claustrophobic ambiance evoked, your deepest fears that writhe in the deepest crevices of your mind unveiled, or perhaps the dawning of existential dread crawling up your spine, as you realize you will one day die? “Sure, all of them work,” I would have said two days ago. But that was the old me; she is now dead and buried, being feasted on by worms. No, the new me has seen a comedy anime that inadvertently threw away all my ancient preconceptions on what constituted truly disturbing horror out the window. Welcome to the fucked up worldof Jingai-san no Yome.
Oh sure, the cover photo looks cutesy. A demure teenage boy sitting awkwardly with his sentient throw rug of a monster sidekick, right? Maybe we can expect some light-hearted isekai shenanigans or a tale about the importance of friendship and rainbows. I, too, used to be that naïve, dear reader. Now prepare to kiss away the last remnants of your innocence, because this is actually the story of a boy forced into sexual slavery to a reject abominable snowman.
From its first episode all the way to its uncomfortable conclusion, my face was contorted into a silent scream, madness dawning in my eyes. Elementary and high school boys are chosen by monsters to become their “wives”. Why the series refers to them as wives instead of husbands will remain one of the universe’s unresolved mysteries. In this chilling society, schools serve as de-facto marriage-arranging companies. Each student’s homeroom teacher informs them of their grim fate with a smile, the kids’ loud protests ignored. They marry these strange creatures, and live in a house funded by the government. If suspicions arise that the marriages are fake, students must submit proof of their commitment to the ward office. I am not making any of this shit up.
Jingai-san no Yome tries to present itself as a wacky romcom, but I could see right through the facade. No joke lands, its slapstick fails, and every romantic moment destroys the last remaining pieces of my hope for humanity. Despite not having a trace of world-building, I still needed answers. Normally, when a story has a sloppy presentation of its setting, I will quickly lose interest. Not so here. Hundreds of questions bubbled up within me as I completed episode after episode. Where are their parents? What do first-year students do in their school’s ‘Wives Club’? Why are girls never chosen as partners for these monsters? Why is child bestiality so widely accepted in this world? Does God stay in heaven because he too lives in fear of what he has created?
I remind you all that this anime is one of the very few that focuses on married life. Let that sink in. To my eternal dismay, plenty of romantic scenes abound. Thankfully, it is all PG-13, or I might have had to jump off a bridge. However, the rating still does not completely blunt the blow, for what the audience sees is enough to raise goosebumps all over their flesh. In episode 5, we see the main character, Hinowa, taking a bath with his monster husband, Kanenogi. He looks at his lover’s tail, eyes glistening, cheeks bright red as if kissed by a cherub. He jumps out of the tub as if struck by lightning, hastily readjusting the towel around his hips. Someone call 911, I’m going into cardiac arrest.
The rest of the characters are introspective, deep, and charismatic, in much the same way like roadkill rotting under the sun is. Other monster husbands appear in the series: a mummy with a crude smiley face drawn on, a balding pig with a Japanese conical hat, and two bat-like humanoid twins wearing red stockings. It is a shame Shakespeare died so early, for he would have written countless sonnets about their love.
Animation looks like it was done on a shoestring budget, but I suppose there was some creativity involved in the monster design. Kanenogi looks like a Wampa from Star Wars finally deciding on settling down. He wasn’t getting any in Hoth. Hinowa’s design is rather hideous; he looks as if he got a haircut at a slaughterhouse. Other male characters’ designs look interchangeable except for their hair. For example, one kid has long red hair and the other looks like a backup dancer from NSYNC’s heydays. Voice acting is passable. Deku’s (from My Hero Academia) voice actor was cast for the main lead’s role; I sure hope his agent knows what s/he is doing. OST is disappointing. Instead of the more thematically fitting demonic choir from Hell chants, we get cookie-cutter pop songs and uninspired synth tracks.
As for the ending…well…Stockholm syndrome has kicked in for good. Very sad.
Recommended only to brave motherfuckers with huge ovaries/balls of steel. Your courage inspires us all.

This anime really made almost no sense. Each episode was 3 minutes. At the outset we find a few of the local High School boys are betrothed by a method not really explained. The central character is Tomari Hinowa who marries a strang creature. Tomari and a few of his friends all end up marrying creatures called Kanenogi (カネノギ) which could be described as sort of like alien & yokai although this is never really explained. The creatures are referred to as the "Husband's" and the boys are referred to as the "Wife's" which isn't really explained. The boy's do exibit traits of doting wives andthey find themselves in many one shot scenarios stereotypical of engaged couples and newlywed's.
The whole series was a good way to waste 36 minutes of my life.

Going in expecting nothing groundbreaking-- I honestly appreciate the refreshing simplicity and absurd humor Jingai san no Yome has to offer. This is one of those shows that are incredibly short, not meant to make logical sense, and work as a brief piece of simple, lighthearted entertainment. Perfect if you don't have 30 minutes to spare, but still want some light entertainment. Perfect if you don't have much mental energy to spare and are looking for just that little pick up to refresh and recharge your spirit. Cute art, cute boys, cute creatures. Funny fetishes, funny pairings and lightheartedness. This is not an anime for overthinking,nor is it a huge investment of time or energy. Story, plot, substance obviously don't offer much, because that isn't the intention here. And really, going off the premise it's pretty easy to gather that. I appreciated it for what it was, and I hope you do too.

Lets lead with: 12 eps each 3 minutes long- 36 minutes of your time max. Skip the ending song- then it is like 20 minutes of your time so just do it. Probably could have it finished and have your own view in the same amount of time as reading the reviews. Story 8: It was super unique! I think people keep getting caught up in the fact that the men are considered wives and arguing that this is a BL but really the creatures are not given verbal genders. You could argue that the twins are female (or they could be a trap lol) andthey still call the guy their wife. It is just the anime being quirky ok. Anyway the eps are short and the anime is short but it got the point across!
Art 8: It was consistent and just something about it was unique. Like I really liked the eyes. It was simplistic, which is really refreshing once in awhile!
Sound: There really wasn't much to go off here. with only about 2 minutes per episode (this is ignoring the ending song) there really isn't much opportunity for anything besides the typical sound effects. But sound effects were used in an appropriate manner and were enjoyable! Voice acting was great too!
Character: I just loved how all the characters interacted and the main character was so cute!!!!! All the character designs were simplistic and nice while being unique! They were all quirky as well!
Enjoyment: 30 minutes of laughter and fun for me personally.
So basically just let me say again- it'll be 36 min max if you don't skip the ending song or about 20 minutes of you do skip the song so stop reading reviews and just go watch it for yourself. It isn't horrible and even if you don't like it it is still a good 'wtf did I just watch' type of anime.

There's often an expectation that anime should be masterfully written and expertly crafted. I feel like this expectation leads people to avoid consuming anime from the perspective in which it was created. Jingai-san no Yome is very much dependent on its premise for its content - monsters marrying boys in high school and the weird antics they have. Each episode is only 3 minutes, effectively capturing a brief scene in the lives of the characters. Watching this anime was pleasant and entertaining for me, even though it's not a highly-funded production. It was short, inconsequential, and pretty cute, which is really all I could ask for.

This anime is 3 minutes per episode, 12 episodes, and tries very hard to be cute but falls flat in every department. While running forward at breakneck speeds and not explaining itself at all we enter a world where it is okay for teenage boys to be married off to what appear to be monsters or yokai that they've never met before. Normally, this is where I would ring up the furry community, but none of the featured creatures match eachother in any way. They call their chosen boys "wives" and each boy fulfills very feminine rolls like cooking, dating, wearing the dress at thewedding, etc.
With such a limited runtime of 3mins per episode, this feels more like a sunday paper comic brought to life than any sort of cohesive story. I like cute, I don't mind gender-swapping roles or romance, but this was just so strange I couldn't get my head around it.
Who are these creatures? Why do none of them speak? Why do they get to look through a high school yearbook and select a boy to marry? Why do they call the boys "wives", not "husbands"? Why are all of the creatures genderless? Why is it appropriate to find a high school boy for this, why not an adult if you're looking for a companion that can care for you? Why are some of them like gigantic stuffed animals, and others are like tiny-puppy sized?
I have too many questions, and the 36-minute run time of the entire series (with credits added in!) is not enough to answer ANY of them. If you can't enjoy the ludicrous concept, stay away.

Can't tell whether this was Beastiality or Pedophilia. But I couldn't stop watching but wasn't long enough to process either. Is the story unique? Yes. Definitely. It's about arranged marriage with spirits. Not something you see every day, Do you think the art style is fitting for the story? Yes, the cutest imagery and character design made it oddly wholesome. Do you think others will enjoy/dislike this series, even if you didn't? Why? I didnt dislike or like this series. I more or less was intregued on what i was watching as the episodes didnt give you time to process it all. Definitely no rewatch value, maybea good enough recommendation for someone who wants weird/oddly wholesome shows?

Just... Why....? To be honest, I checked this short anime out because of all the attention it received from tiktok. It was weird enough to make me want to check it out... and as expected, I did not enjoy this one bit. I finished all 12 episodes (considering they're only 3 minutes each, it was a fast experience) around midnight with a friend over the phone, and God was this a nightmare. The only way you'd enjoy watching this anime is if you were into making yourself suffer and you like questioning your own existence. The whole concept is just so weird and appaling. Is thissomehow the writer's secret fantasy? Is the writer a furry? I don't know but I'm gonna start having nightmares I think.

The story of this anime 'Jingai-san No Yame is pretty decent. Its like a cute and adorable story but it also has a twist. For me it was kinda weird what the story was leading to. The art was good of the anime. Its not like very special but still pretty good. The characters threw me off. I dont know but i really didn´t like how they were. The main character was boring and there was no background. They should´ve do atleast something. Enjoyment of this anime was okey. I just watched to kill some time and how i found the anime was through Tiktok. Ididn´t think the episodes are going to be 3min long. What i loved is the outro or the opening, it was a bop.

EXTRA!!! EXTRA!!! Local male highschool students forced into a child marriage with monsters! Local sixteen year old boy becomes te wife of an moomin! Possible Mpreg, that will make you go why Japan!?! or learn something new about yourself!!!! Get it while it's hot!!!! In all seriousness i have watched my fair share of werid anime, but this takes the cake it seems like it would be cute and i can see that was what they were going for but if you really look into the details of the key scenes a bit more, you may feel what i felt when my cronic over thinking brainwas thinking whilst being sucked into an inescapable horror that kept on revealing it self the longer I watched. You will find some unsettling details: The surprise monster spouse for young childern, The fact these kids don't know the monsters, the didn't have a say in something so life altering, where the hell did these monsters come from?, why are these highschool students selected like items from a catalog, was the moomin head sucking necessary??, is it love or it is a case of Stockholm syndrome? Personally, it wasn't one of my favorites. The idea is very unique, and it was fun to watch a quick little short anime. Some parts I found rather weird, however that's more just personal preference and not a true problem with the anime itself. The art in the show was pretty good, considering how short it was. The art style was fitting for the story. One thing that got on my nerves a little bit about this show was that not a single person reacted how anyone else would in the real world. Perhaps that's a stylistic choice or some metaphor that I'm missing? Ihave mixed feelings about recommending this; I don't know much people in my friend group at least that would like this, but I can see someone who enjoys cute fluffy chibi animals, etc. enjoying Jingai-San no Yome.

All I can say is that as dumb and nonsensical as this show is....it is still better than Dark Cat. I am only taking the time to write this because I am bored. I only finished the show because the episodes are like 2 mins long. I kept watching because of the same mechanism that is used when we see a wreck and just find ourselves having to look. And I can't post the above which is frankly all that is needed because I didn't meet some sort of word quota. I don't understand why male students are being picked by male monsters to get marriedto. Why is the male students becoming wives when they could just choose actual women? Why are there female monsters and they pick guys and the guys are still the wives????? Why is this happening???????????? What happened in this world that this is a thing????????????????????
