I've been busy lately, so here's a quick comedy review! My offline buddies know that I love to review bad anime, so I ask them to tell me about any unspeakable atrocities they happen to stumble across. Looking for bad anime is much like the quest of astronomers trying to find all the moons in the Solar system. You feel pretty damn confident that you've finally found them all, but then more get discovered. Muchi Muchi, better known as "Dumb Girls in Puberty", is a truly disgusting hentai that managed to go completely under the radar. I heard the basic premise and knew immediately I wouldhave to watch this piece of shit and review it! So what is Dumb Girls in Puberty about? The story starts out with a 40 year old man who is a preschool teacher. Now at this point, every siren and alarm should be going off in your head! It can ONLY end poorly from here! Pedo Sensei decides to feed magic snacks to a group of 4 year old girls that transform their toddler bodies into adult bodies. However, they still maintain the same mental capacity. He then does what anyone would do and decides to rape all of them! My bad, did I say anyone? I meant a complete and utter psychopath. So what happens next? Absolutely nothing! He just rapes them for 2 episodes straight and it abruptly ends. Jesus! This hentai was made by the absolute geniuses at studio SELFISH. Sadly, that is ALL I know about the production of this animated crime against humanity. There is no listed director. There are no listed VAs. There is absolutely nothing in terms of staff credits. I've checked MAL, ANN, and anywhere else I could find this listed. The hentai itself doesn't have any credits in the beginning or end of each episode. absolutely NOBODY wanted their names attached to this shit! This may seem like common sense, but look at Boku no Pico. We know the writer, director, and all the actors. Same story with Kodomo no Jikan. With most hentai, no matter how awful they are, there are a few names attached to it. Muchi Muchi is the exception. It's like an Eldrich Abomination in that it has no origin and no explanation. It simply is. Do you want to know the scariest part of all? This shit has next to zero votes on MAL, but well over 1 million views on Pornhub! Over 1 million people watched this shit and most of them didn't do it to write a gag review. I don't want to live on this planet anymore!
Although hentai is primarily for a vehicle for masturbation, generally I enjoy comedic or 'so dumb it's funny' humor that hentai often presents. This show contains a good deal of comedy whether intentional or not. From reading the plot, the reader understands the characters in this hentai are mainly little girls who have spontaneously 'grown up' so to speak however these overtly sexual bodies bursting from their tiny clothing juxtaposed with their childish and innocent mindset led to hilarious dialogue in the context of the scene. Story: 6 I enjoyed the comedic bits of the story and give props to the dialogue, whether intentional or not, was funnyand gave me a good chuckle and led to a lot of light exhaling of air from the nose. The overall story however does not match up and would be a much lower score than 6 if not for the ridiculous premise and comedy which helped it salvage from a score of 3 to 6. The main character is not given much development and the other girls may come off as flat however that will be covered later on. The explanation for the supernatural events is barely brushed upon and the ending gives no clear direction in which the story was heading leading to an unfinished feeling of the story without a proper send-off as well and all we get is the main character about to fuck the shit out of these girls all day long. A weak plot to say the least however supplemented with an odd premise and comedic juxtaposition of circumstance, the story was saved from being a potential dumpster fire. Art : 8 I gave this show a high rating on the art even though our main character has the generic hentai MC stereotypical faceless disorder. The girls and background make up for this completely as their is quality in spades when talking about them. Each girl has their own special aesthetic which was in line with their character traits, the little accessories and even the way their eyes and mouths were drawn as well as facial expressions were very in-line with how the character acted which enhanced their authenticity with regards to the story. Backgrounds were drawn well and did not seem half-assed as some hentai backgrounds come off as, there was quite a bit of detail and just helped with how 'complete' the show felt as a whole. Definitely solid work on the artists part which just enhanced my enjoyment of the show, it did not feel 'like' a hentai and more like an anime. Sound: 7 As with a lot of hentai, the sound is fine. It really is hard to mess up sound such as in older hentai however that is just a limitation of the time where quality exported was very low leading of extremely 'pitchy' audio however as the industry has become more popular with a larger community the standard quality of audio is expected to sound good with no problems. The reason it is not higher is that there was no songs such as with an opening song, ending song or even as a background track. That is my usual criteria for something about what I consider an average of 7, the sound will not differentiate this show from other hentai however it is does not hinder the show's enjoyment in any way. Character: 9 The characters are really what brought out the most of the show for me. We have these kids in adult bodies and the way the voice actors are able to bring attention to how they are still kids doing dirty deeds is absolutely perfect. However the part of the show that lacked for me was really the way the main character was written. For example, in the introduction he is given light exposition on how he likes to 'play' with kids and foreshadows the following events which would have been clever had the viewer not known this was a hentai, however throughout the rest of the show his character jumps around from being apprehensive to fucking these children who he takes care of to predatorily fingering the vagina of the most innocent of the girls while he helps her wipe her after she urinated. This inconsistency threw me off when watching as it showed the scripts inability to linearly progress the character or at least give cause for sudden character shifts. Speaking of the girls, we have four adorable girls who each have their own little quirky personalities which call to different archetypes of hentai girls but paired with the superb art makes them enjoyable all the same. We have Lily who, although I am unsure of this, seems to me as a reference of Zero Two from the popular series Darling in the FranXX. As one of the most popular characters for the past years it would not be a surprise for her to be mentioned, a few of Lily's common dialogue phrases brings me to this conclusion as she says 'darling' in English and constantly asks to 'make babies' with MC which is a theme in the show as well. These girls, except Cocoa who seems to be the 'average' character, have different personalities such as 'the tom boy' and the 'shy girl'. For being such a small cast, each of the girls was enjoyable in their dialogue and reactions to certain acts. The voice actors did a good job in not going blatantly into the horniness effect of the cookies and instead let it creep in scene-to-scene which helped pace the hentai much better. This show light up in my head as being one of the more enjoyable and interesting shows I have watched in a while. It is a short two episodes and I would definitely recommend this hentai for a somewhat longer fap as the story between episode one and two is continuous and a two-session watch would ruin the flow of the story Score : 8 Recommended Fap Length : One session Entire series
