It was the last winter of his school life and with entrance exams and graduation edging closer, Nozomu didn't know what to do. He was told to become independent, but he couldn't find a suitable place to live by himself. His childhood friend Shiori couldn't stand watching him in his current state and suggested that he live with her. While he thought that it wouldn't really make him independent, his parents readily agreed to the idea. Before he knew it, they were living together under the same roof. Their cohabitation was only to last one month. Since it's only for a short period and she's his childhood friend, he thought that nothing wrong will happen. However, living together with Shiori revealed to him a side which he hadn't seen before, and he began to see her as a woman. Where will their relationship end up now that he had begun to have feelings for her? (Source: VNDB)

As time goes by there seems to be a bigger and bigger decrease in the vanilla genre of hentai. But something that has had such a big decrease to the point where I don't even remember the last time I saw something like it, is the romance genre. And no I don't mean like "Main character fucks a bunch of gals and finds out he likes all of them, so he then continues to fuck all of them", I mean just plain romance with only 2 characters and no other bullshit. I was genuinely impressed by this when I went to go watch this hentai(as I go into most new releases blind, since MAL ain't providing a synopsis for them) at how it depicted a topic that SHOULD be normal in this medium. I am talking about "Aikagi The Animation", let's get right into it! Story: 9/10. I don't think it should come as much of a surprise that I gave the story such a high score. It really is surprising how uncommon the "classic romance" genre is in hentai, which is exactly why it's so good, it's fresh. It's just a simple romance between two who want to spend their entire life with one another and are working towards a goal of going to the same university. It genuinely rewards the viewer for watching from start to finish as you get to see how if they can turn this goal into a reality. My only real flaw with the story is that of the starting. Not that their is anything wrong with it, but I wish for the starting we got a look into their high-school lives separately before they moved in together. But I can't knock it too many points for that since the title it literally "Duplicate Keys". Pacing-wise the show is very good. It has a grand total of 3 shmex scenes and each plays off of the other and doesn't just happen for the sake of happening, which is something I can really appreciate. Art and Animation: 7/10. I have mixed feelings about the art if I am 100% honest. For shmex scenes it really hits. The colors are very good and drawing overall are very solid as well. The only problem from the art comes from the normal interaction between the characters. It's weird to say the very least. The backgrounds and characters just look sorta "off", and there is often a lack of detail for shots that have a further back perspective. Animation does make up for this gripe I have. It feels very smooth and I love the use of fast-framing to emphasis an increase in intensity. Perspective shots used during shmex scenes is also amazing! With there being a wide array of shots so the viewer does not lost immersion in the hentai. Sound: 9/10. It is what it is. It gets the job done and gets it done quite nicely Character: 9/10. Shiori is great, I'll say that right now. Her personality is the innocent girl who just has a crush on a friend. I feel she is played off more realistic than other characters with the same archetype. And her love towards Nozomu feels genuine, which really makes her a more diverse character. And not to mention she has a great design. Very attractive physique and an amazing hairstyle (imo). Overall she was amazing and really is the reason the hentai is so good! Enjoyment: 8/10. Aikagi The Animation was a very enjoyable ride! The story is amazing and so too is the character of Shiori, and her VA does an amazing job putting me into the eyes of the character. The only thing that really brings the show down at times is the art. Since this hentai tries to have a nice balance between shmex and character moments, it is then really important for the art to be consistent for both parts, which sadly it is not. But I still very much enjoyed the hentai! Overall: 8/10. The hentai was very good overall! If I am being honest, the show is worth checking out for the story alone. If you are tired to the whole "NTR and Rape" bullshit in hentai as of late, then this will be a breath of fresh air for you! And not to mention Shiori is phenomenal female lead with a strikingly good design! If you don't watch this then you are really missing out!
This hentai is vanilla, while there are some cosplay elements its pretty by the books as far as hentai goes. That being said, you will not have a bad time with this one as it is a one-episode show that doesn't leave you wanting more like that girl you went on a date with, had a great time and never called again. Story : 8 Aikagi follows the relationship between two childhood friends entering college and deciding to live together with some self-aware dialogue concerning how two friends of the opposite sex were allowed to live together. Although the relationship may feel rushed, we must understand theepisode limitations of hentai and how there is barely enough time to build up to character developments. The sex scenes were short in order to accommodate more time for character interaction which I think was important in a show revolving around the lives of the two main characters. Although you do feel a sense of progression and completeness towards the end of the show, it is still very SoL feeling which is good to keep our attachment to the show very surface level considering we will probably not see the characters again Art : 8 Art in this show is as good as you can have it in a hentai, the male MC's eyes are visible and we can see emotion in his face. Both MCs have a high quality of animation and character design which makes you feel like you're watching an anime which I feel is important in watching hentai as it keeps you in the moment rather than feeling like you're watching something different from what you usually watch. The appeal being that you have the anime ecchi tropes but eventually you get the pay off that is missing in anime ecchi scenes Sound : 7 I give it a 7 for 'good' however I feel that 7 is an average standard for hentai as to be below this means the quality took a real hit which is not really evident in hentai being produced recently. Character : 7 There was nothing special about the characters however their relationship development was pretty good for a one-episode story and you could feel that in a world these two people would realistically form this type of relationship as displayed in the show as they are budding young kids coming out of high school. I like how the show touches on the little things that they did in their relationship by introducing cosplay elements or restriction to sex to meet college test requirements which made the relationship less sex-centric as most hentai does and instead more of a real relationship. Both MCs were likeable and the others characters we do see, being their classmates in high school, had very real dialogue which you would hear in an anime keeping me in the moment even though I was fapping to the show. I enjoyed the show very much, it was not the greatest hentai I've ever fapped to given it's safe approach to the characters however it stood out in quality and characters when it came to vanilla hentai. It stood on its own two feet without any insane tropes or circumstances such as supernatural phone apps or wish granting deities which is a testament to pacing, story telling, character interactions and quality of animation. As it is a one episode hentai with a completed story arc, I would recommend a one session fap to the entire thing just to get the full enjoyment out of it
Your future can be a bit scary when you face things you aren't ready for, but it's nice to have someone there to lean on when you need it. Story: Two students, Nozomu and Shiori, are about to take their college entrance exams in a few months. Nozomu tells of how his parents insist that he has to start living on his own soon, but it scared since he has no idea how to go about it. Living on her own for already three years, Shiori agrees to let him stay with her to help him know how to live independently and to study for theentrance exams. As they live with one another for some time, both admit their feelings together and hope to work hard enough to both enter the same college together. Along the way of hard work for their futures together, they also begin making first memories together. The story is a nice play on high school students about to graduate and possibly attend college, as well as getting a bit ready for when you have to move out, though just a bit on that. The character's chemistry together is worked out nicely and the pacing seems well done to build up to it. Even when they are together, they still work hard to try and focus preparing their future and attend the same college. The realism of the story is nicely done since we often have those friends who will help us out for our future, and while rare, it can occur for a man and woman. With the pacing between the story's plot and the sexual scenes, it was nicely balanced out for vanilla hentai. 3.8/5 Music: Sadly, some of the music used was the same to other hentai I have seen, but that isn't to say that it didn't work well with the scenes. The original music used didn't exactly add to the scene, especially to the sexual ones, but it didn't take away from it either, so I suppose that is for the best. 1.7/5 Animation: The settings and characters were decently average, but when applying to the moment of romantic and sexual tension, the animation did work out much better. The scenes were done so well and added to the moment that it made it more romantic and passionate. Unfortunately, it would've been nice if it could've been applied a bit more throughout the hentai. 2.8/5 True to genre: A nice, vanilla story with a good plot to add to it. The story didn't add much in terms of sexual tags, but it did follow through with all of them. 5/5 Eroticism: Being a vanilla hentai, I didn't have any desire to seek pleasure and only enjoy the story. However, I can't deny that the sexual scenes were certainly erotic. From the first time having sex to being a bit more daring to having more intimate and passionate moments together, the sexual scenes definitely gave me a few new fantasies I would love to have with my SO. 4/5 Concluding my review: The show didn't have very original music and its animation was a bit above average, but the plot was enjoyable and the sexual scenes definitely made up for it. It's scary to finally take things on independently, especially when growing up, but with the right friends beside you, it can become more fun.
