Atsushi Nakajima has finally grown accustomed to the crazy lifestyle that comes with being part of the Armed Detective Agency. But even during peaceful periods of time, there is bound to be chaos! As Atsushi, his friends, and the agency's rival group—the Port Mafia—go about their days roaming the streets of Yokohama, there are no limits to the strange situations they are unwillingly thrown into. A new take on its original work, Bungou Stray Dogs Wan! shows the more mundane yet hilarious aspects of the characters' lives. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

"Bungou Stray Dogs Wan!" definitely ended up being one of my favorite shows of this season (as it's been going so far). It's a silly show with short, fun episodes that are only about 11 minutes each. If you're already a huge fan of BSD, then this is definitely the show for you, but even if you aren't super into it, I think "Wan!" could be a good place to get more into the characters and their shenanigans. Of course, it's important to note that "Wan!" has such a different tone from the original series. It has a few serious moments here and there, butis mostly joking. If you go into the main series expecting the same thing... You will be very disappointed lol. (The main series is absolutely incredible, though! Just much more seinen). Some shorts were better than others, I'll admit. There were some episodes where a short would just cut off in the middle of what I thought was the build-up. There's a possibility that this was for time's sake or even maybe because of translation (Japanese humor has shocked me before), but either way I wished they were a little longer. In the end, though, each episode has to fit in about 3 shorts, and they still manage to be super funny and sweet! My favorites are the shorts in Episode 7! Overall, I'm really gonna miss "Wan!" and all the fun interactions and adventures it gave us. And the art style! Oh, how I'll miss the cute chibi art style!
A cute chibi animation based of the spin-off gag manga by Kanaineko. I am a huge fan of Bungo Stray Dogs so this review maybe quite biased;) But I believe in order to really enjoy BSD Wan! is to have watched all seasons of the original main series. There are 12 episodes in total each being around 11 minutes each. Firstly the character designs are so adorable. We get to see people that normally don’t meet each other have interactions. We also get a better understanding of each individual’s personality’s, this makes the certain characters who normally don’t have much screen time stand out. The emotions, andchaotic energy each character prevails is delivered so well by the Japanese voice actors. There are many wholesome and memorable moments, as well a special episodes such as Chuuya and Dazai as 14 year olds, a preschool segment and the Dark era which are all very nostalgic. I would say Episodes 1-9 were very funny, and would like to give a little warning that the last 3 episodes are quite emotional, however it does wrap up nicely in the end. The sound track is also very comedic, and the ending outro is a nice little nod back to the original S1 ending track but sang by Atsushi’s voice actor in a more cheerful way. The outro animation also changes from time to time depending on what happens in that episode so please don’t skip it! As a fan, I looked forward to each week for the new episode to air, and honestly it provided great humour and joy. Its sweet and short so I’ll probably rewatch it here and then. I was never quite ready for a S4 of BSD so this was a perfect way to provide content for those who have been longtime fans of the series. I hope we will get to see more of Wan! in the future:)
Finally !! our most beloved hilarious show of this season has ended today , so i wanted to write some of my thought into this review , hope you enjoy it !! Bungou Stray Dogs Wan is like side show aside from the main show (story) , if you already liked the BSD series even before "Wan" you should already liked it , but if you havent watched any BSD series then this is also a good show for you to start and if you get hooked then welcome to BSD fan club xD. alright into more depth of this show. BSD Wan is your typical short, funny, hilariousshow that get adapted ( glad they adapt this ) , for the entire show its mostly about funny moment, hilarious interaction between character , cute / adorable character design, and their jokes is also really" good , im enjoying it more than ever. nothing too woah , just your usual funny show. i mean sure theres some serious moment but its mostly about jokes and funny moment you wont regret watching this show. just wanted to say thankyou for the hardwork from BSD Wan Staff production , you guys really really did a good job 9/10 for you guys ^^
honestly, this anime is the only thing that has brought me joy during all of covid. It's very cutesy and some of the jokes are genuinely funny, though the silliness might not be for everyone. There are some moments where the interactions between characters get very serious out of nowhere and I feel that's fitting for the BSD universe. The rewatch value is also pretty high, especially if you're in need of some of that Serotonin. I do recommend watching this after finishing all 3 seasons of the anime, otherwise some jokes might not land. Also -- please watch the DUB, you won't regret it.
Expect a fun light and airy vibe watch. makes it pretty pleasantly fun to watch and I like that the art style is quite fitting for the story of the series. It's exactly what you think it'd be. But at the same time it's 50/50 chance hit or miss because it could go 2 ways: - If you're expecting a hard core driven plot; for more of that Bungou Stray Dogs Oomf! It has almost no plot. You will get bored. -If you like Komi, you might want to give it a go if you are a Bungou Stray Dog big fan ♡ (*ฅ́˘ฅ̀*) .
