Watching Sore Dake ga Neck was fun, I admit. It is not a show that should be taken seriously, as the anime only tells a story of a man without a head, who reincarnates and wants to show feelings to a girl who resembles his former lover. Although it is something different from the usual, this particular show is very creative and has a unique comedy. The anime definitely pleased me for its simplicity. THE ENDING IS ALSO VERY GOOD!! The "short anime" style may not suit you, but it is a show that I would recommend to anyone who wants to see something fast.
Truly a different kind of anime, very simple in each part (story, art, sound, characters, etc.) and every episode lasts only about 3 minutes. The reason I liked it is also simple, it's easy and comfortable to watch, every episode fells fast-paced, so it's not boring, and the mystery part of the story is enjoyable. That's it, there's not much to say, it's just good, great if you want something fast and uncompromised. In my opinion, it's definitely worth trying. And I must say, the ending is great. This is my first review, so it might be a little weird, but thanks for reading it.
It's hard to describe what That is the Bottleneck is about, and maybe it’s one of those pieces of media that it’s better to just jump in without not much knowledge of it. I didn’t know anything before watching this show as I stumbled upon it by pure chance, I was just looking for a short-length anime and simply found it. In the past, I found Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san and it didn’t disappoint. That is the Bottleneck is not as good or funny as Honda-San, however, it is nonetheless an interesting journey through the point of view of different characters through its short runtime, bothin length and number of episodes. What got me from the very first episode is its dry humor and not in-your-face jokes, one of its strengths is that its comedy doesn't have obvious queues or telegraphs, instead, we got a lot of well-written phrases here and there. Characters are somewhat disposable, but because of this, each episode it’s like a surprise box where you don’t know what are you going to get but whatever you get it’ll be good. These characters were surprisingly relatable and charm, they also feel pretty real in their way, the setup of a convenience store works wonderfully with them. The anime has some sort of build-up which has an interesting payoff that I can see how someone would not like, however, I do think it goes pretty well with the show’s themes and humor. For such a short anime with so little run-time, it also has a lot to say, stuff like relationships between people both friendly or romantic, and even work relationships. It maybe isn’t a masterpiece and probably it won’t change anyone’s life but it is a very enjoyable and rewatchable anime that is easy to recommend to anyone who’s just looking to have a nice time.
