Rei Ayanami might be a girl of few words, but that does not mean she should neglect to emphasize the beauty of her lips. As she gets ready to meet someone special, she applies her Kate Tokyo brand Red Nude Rouge lipstick and declares that there are "no more rules." [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Never once in my life did I think I needed the "Kate" Red/Nude rouge lipstick, until I was swayed by this masterpiece of modern animation. Not only did they bring best man Ayanami Rei from the cult classic show "Evangelion" to showcase this product, but they also gave her 3 written lines to work with, which is like twice the amount of shit she says in the show itself. Let's go over these lines, and depict what Ayanami Rei from Evangelion is trying to tell us, more or less giving us a brief explanation of the story itself. "This is the red, just for me." isthe first statement we're met with after a brief showcasing of the lipstick being applied to the lips. Here, we find out Rei's true intentions, and preferences in lifestyle and fashion. We here understand that the red lipstick is truly her style, her awakening, her calling. "No more rules." This is an interesting one. Not only is it the climax of her monologue, slowly wrapping this epic advertisement up, but here, we can briefly see a spiritual calling; a show of colors, if you will. Rei finally shatters her morals and goes with what she believes is right. She is telling us that she is free from this mortal plane, that she is in charge, and that she is unbound to any rules present in the world. A legendary statement by one of anime's greatest characters, if you ask me. "Kate." is by far the single-greatest closing line in any animated medium. I have goosebumps whenever I re-visit this advertisement, this magnum opus of cinéma, to be met with Kate, the brand itself, at the very end of the road. It's an inspiring moment in anime history, and depicts our character in a truly free state of mind. She is unbound, unhinged, and out of control. She is elevated by this red lipstick so far that she worships this product, like an all-knowing presence. I am in tears. Thank you, Ayanami Rei, from Evangelion the anime show. Thank you, Kate Red/Nude rouge lipstick product.
Step aside Episode 24 and End of Evangelion, because the much beloved franchise now has a new entry, so epic, so majestic, that everything that came before it simply pales in comparison with this masterpiece. The 12 second epic saga depicts Eva's resident "best girl" Ayanami Rei (version unknown, ask Gendo) as she shamlessly sells out her soul and becomes a TV commercial star. Guess piloting enormous mechs just doesn't pay so well these days. And we, the unexpecting audience, get to witness the glory that is the First Child's side job. Now I won't spoil the experience for you, but the dialogue here is justtop notch. Each sentence uttered by our heroine manages to melt your heart, and touch the very essence of your being, as expected from an emotional, loving person such as Rei. The animation is also glorious, easily beating even the most beloved moments from the original anime (like the visual extravaganza that is "The Elevator" scene) All in all, while the rest of the world waits for the conclusion of the Rebuild movie franchise, we should all focus on the true zenith of Neon Genesis Evangelion, and salute the legends that brought this work of art into the world.
purest virgin waifu for the win - if u watch nge and rebuild u isn't live man u isn't live. this was one of the greatest victories in all of Uganda - if japan was in world war 3 this ad would essentially be the bomb thing that took out japan from ww2 i forgot wat its called big lady or something the best thing about this ad is that it does not make sense when u refer it with rei from Eva and most of rebuild because i doubt she would care about putting lipstick on however that's the beauty of randomness because itinherits the end of evangelion message to not give a flying pig. Its much better then a German one eye boomer so this ad is 10/ 1000000 / 01
