Recap of the first season of Yakusoku no Neverland and the first five episodes of season two.
Nenhum episódio encontrado.
Thanks for reminding me what happened the last 5 episodes! I had forgotten everything, but now I can finally remember! I can't thank you enough for finally making me realize everything I've missed out on. I honestly love recap episodes since they take up an entire episode with things I've never seen before, especially after a crazy cliffhanger from the last episode. Anyways this is a recap episode, don't watch it unless you somehow got into a coma while watching this anime and wake up in the year 2026. It would have been cool if they did like a recap of season 1 + season2's 5 episodes, but I guess that's too much to ask for.
What an absolute joke this series has become. Not only did CloverWorks decide to skip the hundred or so chapters to wrap the anime up in the next 5 episodes, they have the audacity to insert a filler episode for the first 5 episodes of the second season (as well as S1). Do they think we all have dementia or something? As someone who has read the manga, I am rightfully pissed off, and so should others. The Promised Neverland was one of the most highly anticipated and popular series to have come out of Shounen Jump over the past couple of years, the anime wasgearing up to become a household hitter after the success of the first season. Even I gave it a 9/10 for how well it did (including 8/10 for the manga). But you can throw away any hopes and dreams for a good, long-lasting anime series you had until now. The biggest mistake was letting the mangaka co-write this season and have the anime go down an original route. There was enough material for another 3-4 seasons if they just stuck with the manga. So don't blame the studio, as they're only following instructions, blame Shirai Kaiu for butchering his own story. This series is now added to the bin of ruined anime series. It's best they finish this season and the story and never touch it again.
As someone who had binge watched this series in a whole day, having this recap episode was completely unnecessary. Nothing in this episode would give you more information than you already know. I believe this episode was put out to keep us in suspense of the previous episode, but having a recap 5 episodes in of the new season was very unneeded. If you're planning on watching this special episode, don't expect it to have any new information or scenes you've never seen before. Unless you have terrible memory and cannot for the life of you remember what had previously happened so far, don't wasteyour time watching this. I'd rather re-read the manga, at least that would have more information than this 22 minute long episode. It's seriously a waste of time to watch, so please, if you want to keep 22 minutes of your life, I rather you skip this episode.
The first Re-cap episode I have ever seen... and probably the last recap episode I will ever see. The Promised Neveland S2 has had nothing but bad reception, as for once, the anime-onlys and manga readers band together to say, "well this sucks." Placed not during a hiatus, or even a timeskip of at least 1 year, this week we got a filler re-cap episode, as if the studio is trying to receive more percentage of filler than Bleach or Naruto. The review episode is what you think, a review episode that holds no weight whatsoever. It simply gives a plot summary with bad cuts andrecycled animation including both Season 1 and Season 2. That's right, they fit in both seasons somehow, surprising, as we could devote an entire episode to explaining what happened, and the plot about S2. It obviously cut as a way to somehow increase the hype about the latest "reveal" in episode 5, but again fails to deliver. Add some bad CG, a bad narration script, and some good scenes recapped badly, and you have the episode. Honestly a waste of time, as nothing happens, aside from bare basics we learned and knew was going to happen from episode 1. Story- What? Art- Ouch Sound- Meh Character-NO! Enjoyment- How? Overall- Don't watch
Great. A recap of after only 5 episodes. Why not give us a recap of the ONE HUNDRED skipped chapters? At least show what happened in the time skip between episodes 4 and 5! Instead, they just reminded us of the ugly animation and plot armor keeping the kids alive. All of the suspense is gone. Even the final twist was wasted on weak execution. Half of this recap was about season 1, with narration describing exactly what we see on-screen. No new scenes were added. This only highlights that nothing worthwhile has happened in season 2. Needing a recap after only 5 episodes is a red flagthat Cloverworks is already having production issues. It doesn’t matter that the mangaka is co-writing this; it’s still disappointing. The move to anime-only was a terrible choice. This season hints at potentially new characters to make you excited. Then it completely forgets about them in the next episode. It relies on cliffhangers, but in the next episode, they go nowhere. The writers don't address the plot points that they tease because this is simply a lazy cash grab. Nothing seems to matter in this sequel. Entire side plots are condensed into short conversations and the story flies by. This awkward writing is due to the gaps in adapted chapters, removed characters, and added content. The conflict in this season is a struggle for survival rather than psychological mind games. Though calling it a “struggle” would be way too charitable. All we get is ridiculous situations that throw logic out the window. This season has undone most of Emma’s character development. In the manga, she is an inspirational heroine. She faces the consequences of being overly optimistic and attempting to save everyone. Emma and Ray grew from their losses and trauma, but that is gone now. Emma just tells everyone they’ll be ok, then she acts like she doesn’t care. The whole thing feels phoned in. It is like everyone has given up.
2 Stars ONLY because it has a couple of clips from the first season which is great. Writing a review just to say if you watched the show up until S2 E5 why watch this recap. Why make a huge special announcement for a recap. S2 is an honest joke of originality that isnt even good. WHACK. There is honestly no point into watching a recap of everything that happened in 5 episodes..oh sorry 6 including like the last episode of season 1. Why is this its own special thing either. S2 is almost like the characters honestly just lost some IQ points and now all ofa sudden have like this massive skip in brain functionality. what they did in season 2 would be like watching season 1 episode 1 of AoT and then skipping straight to the final season.
This is the biggest joke I have seen in a very long time. I would like to preface that I am an anime-only. I have never read the manga, but despite this I believe we have gotten one of the worst second seasons to a show since Tokyo Ghoul. This new season has been appalling in pacing, in story writing, and honestly in animation sometimes. My hopes for this series were almost completely gone, but I wake up this morning to seeing there is an OVA. This gave me a little bit of hope that maybe CloverWorks realized how much they'd messed up, and gaveus a quick pick me up to apologize for the mess they'd made. But no, no they didn't do that. They instead thought it was a great idea to give us a pause from this miserable second season, and recap the first season with the first 5 episodes of season two. W h a t. Why? What. Like, what actually is the point. Do you think we all just magically forgot what happened in the last 5 episodes of season two? I do appreciate CloverWorks reminding me how good the first season was though, but this has no purpose actually existing. This is the most sorry excuse for an OVA that I've seen in awhile. This legitmately has no reason to really exist. There is no point in recapping a collective 17 or so episodes. This isn't even a good recap either because you're jamming a rushed second season and a good first season into 23 minutes. If the studio wanted to do a legitmate recap, it should have been at least 40 minutes in length. With this quick, angry rant out of the way, I will now go back to patiently waiting for the next episode of season two so that I can come to dislike it more, and become even more disappointing in what an originally amazing show has become.
I'm not sure why this episode streamed, but it seems to be mostly pointless. It is literally a recap of what has happened between the last few episodes of Season 1, and all of what's happened in Season 2. It may be the case that some have forgotten Season 1, but it's entirely pointless for it to recap what's happened in Season 2 considering the Season hasn't been out enough to forget major details. All in all pointless and kind of frustrating considering we have to wait an additional week (at the time of writing) before any more plot progression. If you've forgotten what's happened inthe past few episodes, and or Season 1, go ahead and watch it. Otherwise, wait
So it's been sometime since this special aired, but I still felt like writing a review for it, so here it is. This is just my opinion by the way, so don't get too mad. Overall this special disappointed me. It was very useless and didn't need to get made. I was hoping that maybe the 'recap' element of it would be showing us what Norman did before he found Emma and Ray, but that wasn't the case at all. This special (recap) contained the contents of the first season and the first five episodes of season 2. It felt like a 20 minute long commercial thatspoiled the entire series so far. It wasn't very good, but it did show the contents of the first season and first five episodes of season 2 and that is probably the only positive thing for this special. Personally I didn't really like the special, especially because the season feels and is super rushed and about 100 chapters were skipped. Personally I feel like the recap episode was utterly useless and was somewhat of a waste of time. In general I feel like the whole season could have been structured differently, and I also feel like the 23 minutes of this episode could have been used to do some explaining about what happened.
*Sigh* What is there to say about this? There's literally no point in its existence! Very, very redundant and disappointing. If you're up to date on all of the episodes you don't need to watch it, though the entirety of S2 itself is already horrible. Why repeat the storytelling of 5 episodes that already weren't that good, and that we just watched?? Fans were widely disappointed with season 2 and this recap of the season's first half is just another punch in the gut. If a zero rating existed I would put it, because that describes its value. But it doesn't exist, thus, I dub theea 1/10. Creators: So, here's the first part of Season 2, did you like it? Watchers: Thanks, we hated it! Creators: Great, then we'll show it to ya again!
This episode got my hope up but then, it's just a recap. I was hoping for an episode 6 but instead it gave me this... Well, thanks so much for recapping the last 5 episodes. I totally forgot what happened in the past few episodes. And the worst part was they didn't even give an ending to the reunion, still a cliffhanger. :( This episode /recap was like the worst. Why couldn't they instead just put in some stuff from the manga? They skipped like 100 chapters of the manga. They could've put in Norman's backstory (like the other farm thing). Or they could've done moreon Emma ad Ray ad their adventures. As far as I'm concerned, anything would have ben better than a recap. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
There are a lot of... interesting reviews here. But as an anime only with the memory of a Wish SD card I just wanted to give my two cents and say - this is useless. I honestly could've used a recap of season 1 since I honestly couldn't remember a lot of the finer details of what happened. But the recap barely covers the events of the first season (moreso certain scenes reminded me of what had happened, although the scene actually shown barely told the viewer anything) and takes painstakingly long covering the second season, for which even I can remember the story sofar. It's a completely unnecessary filler episode. Don't waste your time.
Writing this review for self-satisfaction, just like my other reviews. Personally, I don't find any issues with a run through of the second season, but it wasn't at all necessary. I mean, a series of specials would've been much more appreciated. Being a manga-read of Yakusoku no Neverland, the anime was already a recap to me. For anyone who forgets or didn't understand what was going on in S2, i'd recommend you watch this. Otherwise, for the majority of the rest of the people, there's no real reason for you to watch it. As for the Season 1 portion of the show, it's been a whole yearsince i've watched it and was a fairly good refresher to me. Although they reiterated everything within a single episode, i suppose it didn't waste too much of my time, giving "Tokubetsu-hen" extra points.
One of those recaps that jump you off mid-season, you know it's gonna get controversial when this card is raised, and to nobody's surprise, it was the case with Yakusoku no Neverland's second season. Albeit, the recap did go through the first season as well, but as you might figure, if anyone is gonna want to refresh their mind on what happened earlier it would have been before starting this season in the first place. I like to call myself, the recap guy for how many times I have to come in clutch and defend recap episodes in various series, but unfortunately, not this time. Mainly, becauseof bad timing and inconvenience, you don't just get to have a recap for a season that is already scares on episodes (only 11), it eating air-time real estate for what could have potentially lessened the pace rush towards the end, although, there was nothing going to save this sorry sequel from sucking as bad as it did.
Only one thing to say, Cloverworks: Haha, budget recap go brrrrrrr. Disappointing, after all that waiting for our viewers. Imagine waiting a week to know what's going to happen and a recap shows up telling you back all what just happened. Even for new viewers like me that don't read the manga kind of think that's cruel to do so and worst of all, the laziest way to delay more time. That way of giving a recap after a cliffhanger shows how horribly is the show going to be. Pathetic, unworthy of praise and betrays the trust of many TPN fans.
*Spoiler warning!* Please, this was utterly pathetic. I'd rather have no episode, this was useless. It was a re-cap of most things that happened so far, in the littlest detail possible. I feel like the only reason you WOULD watch this is if your too lazy to watch the actual series or get caught up. Which I think is a stupid thing to do. Only plus was I guess we got to see the characters again, but that's it. No point to it practically. 3/10, useless, not terrible, but definitely far from necessary. (Shortest review I've made, makes sense speaking of the "episode" but ya know,a review is a review.)
I really enjoyed season 1 but this season I find to be very frustrating. The story has barely progressed and each new episode comes I just get more bored. The amount of times that we had to re-watch Norman about to get shipped off and him going into that house, just for the episode to shortly end after that. So annoying. And was it really necessary to dedicate a whole episode just to recap all the events from season 1 to season 2? I was loving the story up till the bunker part, but ever since then I found the story to be so lacklustre.
I hate to admit it but I only liked TPN's season 1. I have to waste my time for reviewing it. Oh God!!! First I won't talk about negative details now, after writing the positive things I'm gonna throw out my bad review.I respect all the artists. So I don't have my grudge on animators. They did their best from their field. Music was awesome. From episode 1 to 3 I kinda liked it. Because some of the parts was canon. Some of you might enjoy watching it who have trash taste like me. Who also enjoyed watching Tokyo Ghoul √A. Now for the negative review. Why the heck they had to ruin it??? For skipping lots of arc like Tokyo Ghoul I had to read the manga. I thought that I'd not need to read the manga. Plus they changed the whole scenario. Like, what the freak?! Characterizations was super flat. Main antagonist was super easy go cut off villain and super lame. I was like feeling bad for the anime instead of ending of the manga. Please don't make anime if you can't follow the manga, it would my request to Japanese anime industry. Thanks for reading all the way. I overall enjoyed writing this review. Sayonara!!!
