Brothers Lucifer, Mammon, Leviathan, Satan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub, and Belphegor are among the most powerful demons in the Devildom, serving as officers on the student council at the Royal Academy of Diavolo (RAD). However, being avatars of the seven deadly sins, their behaviors often tend toward the extreme. Their everyday antics belie their high status and fearsome reputations among others of their kind. When viewed behind the scenes, the members of this family are more lovable—and laughable—than they first seem! [Written by MAL Rewrite]

There isn’t much to say. This anime is an adaptation from an Otome Game. We all knew that it wouldn’t be a masterpiece but it still exceeded my expectations. Everything was fine. Just average. It isn’t good but there’s also nothing wrong with it. It’s just cute boys doing cute things and I think that it was the right thing to do. There was no female protagonist with her harem which would have made it much worse. I don’t regret watching it but I wouldn’t watch it again. I wouldn’t really recommend it either but I wouldn't advise you not to watch this Anime either.
As someone who has played the game, I thoroughly enjoyed the anime adaptation of Obey Me! Although it would've been much better if they made the anime 20 mins long so that it would give time for the people who haven't played the game to fall inlove with the characters. (And also for Satan and Lucifer to get more screentime LMAO) But, overall, I did enjoy the show and some episodes were actually in the actual story of the game so it was fun watching it get animated. 10/10 would recommend the game so that y'all could see more of our demon hotties ;) (andthe other hot side characters that were only shown in ep 12 !!)
Obey Me! is definitely a short anime series meant to be primarily enjoyed by those who are into the Obey Me! games already. It does a good job promoting the game too, however, for people who haven't played or heard of the game before. 6/10 overall, 7/10 for enjoyment :) For context, Obey Me! is an otome game (dating sim for girls) where you more or less try to romance the seven different devil boys who are also the main characters of the anime. So it's pretty obvious as to why players would enjoy this anime since they can see a bit more into the livesof the characters and the shenanigans they go through. From the perspective of someone who hasn't played the game before, the anime has its fair share of funny and heartwarming moments depending on what sort of humour you're into. The worldbuilding is pretty easy to grasp even if you don't understand why or where things are taking place. Memorizing each of the 7 brothers can be slightly confusing, but that's not necessary to enjoy the anime. Since it's mostly for promotion, there isn't much of a story at all. In the same vein, there's also a lack of character depth (not to say there isn't ANY) as the series is composed of episodic skits more or less. There was enough shown about the characters to be able to differentiate them, and by the end I even had a favourite of sorts. However, the art and sound are done surprisingly well for a promotional anime and it makes it easier to consume the series, perhaps even encouraging you to go check out the game afterwards. All in all, if you want a quick watch that comes with a few laughs and nice art, this is a great way to pass around an hour of your time. But don't go into it expecting anything more than that, or you could find yourself disappointed.
I DON'T RECOMMEND WATCHING THIS IF U DON'T PLAY THE GAME / DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT! (i play the game and i very much love it so this might be biased) When i heard the news about Obey Me getting an anime i was very excited, i watched it immediately and it did live up to my expectations. I loved it. PROS: Beautiful art-style, very colorful. Voice acting is great. Each character is unique and funny. AN AMAZING ED SONG WHICH IS SANG BY THE CHARACTERS VA'S!!!CONS: Episode length (5 mins or so). There isn't any ''story''. Each episode is a new story, but they did a good job with it. Overall: Story: 6 Art: 9 Sound: 9 Character: 9 Enjoyment: 8 Overall: 8. I was gonna give it a 9 but because of the episode length i wasn't fully satisfied so im giving it 8. (SEASON 2 IS COMING THIS SUMMER!!!)
Originally watched this since I am a fan of the game. I don't really suggest/recommend this anime unless you played the game yourself. The art is good, however, I just feel awkward looking at some of the frames. Not much of a problem though. The music is okay, but not to the point it's iconic. The characters are good, and it makes me want to go back into the game for them. Even though I rated this anime a 6/10, there are a few episodes that gave me several laughs. I honestly wish the episodes were longer, but they did provide enough content within each episode despiteit being short.. except 2/12 of the episodes which were filler. Besides that, I like how it focused on 7 of the brothers and they didn't make a harem protagonist. Because if it did it would be a cheesy reverse harem anime(eek).
I really like watching Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, so when I saw Obey Me on part of the recommendation I decided to watch. It does have a similar vibe to it. The genre of the show does of course have supernatural stuff with some comedy here and there. The 7 demon brothers are all one-dimensional characters. They are the same at the end as they are at the beginning. So they’re pretty predictable. They are cute boys doing cute things. It does fit well with the tag. For you to understand what each brother represents you’re going to have to play the game. Thereis no plot in the show. Each of the episodes is not connected. Each episode has a different plot and it’s a bit slow. The theme of it is just about Demons in a demon world. They emphasize mostly comedy. The animation was pretty average. Not too bad. Asmodeus seiyuu is pretty good because it matches well with his personality. ______ I’ll say don’t watch it if you want a major plot or some complex characters because it doesn’t have that. But you can watch if you just want to laugh and not care about the plot and the character's development. For me, I understand the show and what the characters are about because I played the game. If I haven’t played the game I probably won’t understand it well and others probably won’t either. So my rating for this show is 8/10 (liked it very much)
I'd say this anime doesn't appeal to those who don't already know the Obey Me characters; sure, you can understand fine, but there's no attachments to be formed with such short episodes. It was fine as a sort of slice of life, but I don't know if it's worth watching unless you have a particular attachment to the game or want to get into the game. Personally, as I haven't played the game and haven't got an interest in otomes, I didn't care for the plots, but they were goofy enough that they didn't bore. As a time killer I might recommend, if nothing else.
I loved playing the mobile dating sim, and was really excited about the anime. But it's... really disappointing. The episodes are short, there's no real substance, the humor is bad, and they missed the nail on some of the original characters' personalities. I would probably rate it worse if I wasn't holding onto the nostalgia of my love for the game, and especially for the twins, Beelzebub and Belphegor. They did them a little justice in this show, at least. They made most of the characters really irritating and dislikable, and the story was boring. If you played the game prior to watching this show, this really isn't worth the time. If you've never played the game, I promise you'll enjoy it much more than this show.
