On a rainy afternoon, a male high school student awakens freezing on the streets with no memory of how he got there. His classmate and crush, Karen Inukai, finds him and takes him back to her home where, to his surprise, she starts to undress. She seems intent on bathing with him, though he has no idea why. When she holds him once more, he catches a glimpse of himself in the mirror—discovering that he has turned into a dog! Inukai adopts the puppy and names him Pochita. Now, he must adjust to life as a dog and figure out how to get out of this strange predicament. But while he mulls over an escape plan, Pochita sees a whole new side to Inukai that he never saw at school. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

This anime is levels of degeneracy beyond comprehension. My ancestors are looking down on me ashamed and appalled, and yours are too. In our quest to find out if we can, we forgot to stop and ask ourselves if we should. We have past the point of no return. No amount of repenting and prayer can save us from this absolute sin, so do not even bother. Even if we could be save, should we? Would we deserve to be save after this? No, probably not. The human race will not be forgiven for this, May God have mercy on our souls.....10/10 would recommend
On the day of the Final Judgment, when we all stand before God Almighty, He will show all mankind this anime on a big screen. Every human who ever lived will be there to see it. In eternity, where there is no time, all of those who did not watch this will assimilate it fully in what seems like an instant. Then the screaming will begin. Pleading and begging, the human souls will desperately try to justify the existence of this atrocity and will fail. The ground will split open and we will fall into the dark abyss, rejected and forsaken by God. ------------------ I started watchingthis thinking it would be an isekai-type anime. "What would life be like if you turned into a dog, retaining your memories of human life, and got adopted by your hot classmate crush?" doesn't sound so bad, right? Well... let's just say, if you like anime for the plot, better look elsewhere. Here, we only have "plot". Even the characters themselves have zero depth, they only exist to be lewded by the dog protagonist. If these people actually existed in real life, they would be in padded cells. The episodes only have 12 minutes each, not counting the OP and ED which take a large chunk out of that — and are bad and annoying. I can't even recommend this to ecchi lovers, but only a particular branch of that group: those who are into zoophilia/bestiality. If you are in this category, this anime is made for you. Then again, you might wanna read the manga instead, since the anime is apparently tamer in that regard: some scenes are cut or skipped entirely. For everyone else — the functional members of society — avoid this.
This anime is esssentially bringing one consensus message: WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING of making this show and bringing to the masses? In reference, see HIDIVE's "glorious" (sic) synopsis: They say every dog has his day. That’s especially true for our protagonist, who was just turned into a dog and now lives every day under the care of his crush, Inukai-san! She happily dotes on her new companion, and while he wants to return to his human form someday, there’s something wonderful about being cared for by the person he loves. Now that's a decription, if you're feeling at the very least dodgy-doggy with aleash on your neck, living and breathing the life of an entity who lives to see the dream of girls being innocently vulnerable towards you, saying "This is Heaven!". Never have I seen such polarizing works that earn the ire of the world in unison and in all of existence, not since The Promised Neverland's sequel season that completely abolished any hopes for the anime series as a whole. And this is what mangaka Itsutsuse chooses to give us: Inu ni Nattara Suki na Hito ni Hirowareta. a.k.a. My Life as Inukai-san's Dog., the season's most infamous adaptation that's nothing more than an oversized fetish of a dog smut manga. Jesus Christ, now I'm telling y'all: I don't know what the hell were they thinking when making the anime. Now I know why people are calling this the rip-off Chainsaw Man, because the dog is literally named Pochita. I swear that I'm not kidding. He is helmed by 3 girls who float around his long belly boat: firstly, his owner the yandere Karen Inukai, whom before the mysterious transformation into a dog, was his crush, and being a dog is the next best thing of not resisting the charm of living the life as her dog of interest when she notices him as a stray dog on the street, only to feed it with her immense love and skinship. Secondly, the scaredy-dog Mike Nekotani of Inukai's childhood friend and Pochita's neighbour fame, which I actually find her scenes somewhat darn plain ecchi glorified, but decent and best. Thirdly, last but not least, is the legit childhood friend of Usagi Tsukishiro, with her being the same "girl teases boy because she likes him" trope, to the point of feelings thrown out for obsession. Personally, out of the 3, Nekotani is the one that I can click with, she's definitely the best of the worst of the entire show. Being a somewhat relatively new studio, this is studio Quad's 2nd project, albeit a half-episode run format. And then I can tell you that like the first show it produced (Kaijin Kaihatsu-bu no Kuroitsu-san a.k.a Miss Kuroitsu from the Monster Development Department), it turned out mediocre to decent. But of course, for Inukai-san's case that it just looks like no effort was being done here, with the ecchi scenes amplified, because doggo or not, this is pretty much smut material, and like that genre itself filled with so much shit quality, I'm not surprised that it's just legit poop. EVen the OST is somewhat meh. The character VAs' OP was acually both catchy and an entertaining song to boot, especially with the end-chorus portion. The EDs of various girls' versions, however, is just like mish-mashing anime and real-life counterparts, which I would praise the effort given, but this is not needed, really. Yikes, if you're in for some of the most scantily clad smut material turned into anime, this is probably it. And once you've seen this, there is no going back of washing off that taintedness from your ears and eyes. This shouldn't be allowed to exist, yet it does.
Alright boys, let's buckle up and put on our big boy pants and ready ourselves to watch an anime about the experience of doge x 2D anime girl. What can go wrong? ....... I've seen both the anime and the manga and never before in my life I had to ask myself, "What the fuck am I watching?" while reading or watching an anime. This shows screams "DEGENERACY" at you for every single second you find yourself watching it. Heck, this "anime" has ventured way too far into the hentai category. I'm surprised it isn't hentai. Every 5 minutes I had to recite "O Lord, repent mefor my sins" while reading the manga to prevent my brain cells from spontaneous combustion. Overall, very mixed reviews on this abomination. Cool and original idea I guess albeit executed horrendously. I mean, it has cute characters so yay? Plot is inconsistent, hard to follow, and with so many sinkholes attached that I assure you cannot understand the anime until you read the manga. Characters are very bland. This show and manga focuses too much on finding ways to make the general male audience get an unpleasant feeling in their pants and immediately look down between their crotch, and it unironically works. Now that's over, good luck watching this thing. If you're tired of the general anime or hentai in this case give it try. May God have mercy on the author and production team of this abomination. Amen.
This has got to be the worst piece of media I ever consumed. The characters are shallow as frick (avoiding swearing since I don't want this to be taken down), the protagonist makes me extremely furious and the writing is a thousand times worse than any other Harem Comedy I've ever watched. Only watch this bullcrap if you have some sort of mistress/dog fetish, then you're gonna get fed well with this one. Otherwise stay the frick away from this, it's incredibly uncomfortable to watch and the writing of the protagonist seems to be suffering here the most. You can't sympathize with that loser in any shapeor form, because in one moment he will say "I won't look at these t*tties because I'm just a dog and that's messed up" and then we get a zoom-in shot of those said bags. He keeps fricking up everything and the only interesting thing about him are his memory flashbacks. That is the ONLY interesting thing about this anime. Getting the bits of info on HOW and WHY he turned/was turned into a dog. Those flashbacks happen from time to time but it's not worth watching the whole thing, ESPECIALLY because you'd have to read the manga to figure out, which is STILL on-going. Don't do this to yourselves, I beg of you. Spare your last few brain cells and watch something other trashy bs that AT LEAST has SOME form of dignity left and some mediocre writing. Cuz this is just migraine for your entire body. None of the characters are likable and most are even dislikable. Nekotani is the ONLY character with common sense left and does NOT try to have s*x with a DOG. Unlike everyone else. Pinkie here has a crush on the dog cuz it reminds her of her actual human crush (ok? weird) and ice queen is #lonely #misunderstood #nofriends and is the crush of our main character (before and after he was turned into a dog). And, for some reason, ice queen only ever shows emotion when she's with her dog, in this case our protagonist. But no, it's not all innocent like a comfort pet or something, she ACTIVELY M*STURB*TES with her DOG. SHE IS DOWN FRICKING BAD FOR DOGS. AND THE THOUGHT OF THE DOG BEING HUMAN (Episode 12) TURNS HER OFF. I honestly can't feel bad for this woman (is she even of age?) as she's being established as this sweet girl with a dog fetish but then we learn that she's actually cold to every other living being on this planet, actively goes out of everyone's way because her butt does NOT want to interact with any human, she just wants her t*ts sucked by her pet dog. Said pet dog has no shame and his mf'ing tail is wagging at every suggestive moment. Bro won't stop trying to convince us that he isn't down bad for any of the chicks but in reality he is horrendously down bad. This part of his character, his dishonesty, is what makes him so dislikable. He would, ACTUALLY, be more enjoyable if he just embraced his new fetish life sometimes and says sh*t like "ngl this puss is bussin'" (the formulation is obviosuly a joke but you get the point) but instead he plays the victim the ENTIRE. FRICKING. TIME. "ugghh no i dont wanna do this wah wah wah oh no she put me up her skirt again what am i gonna do oh no >////<" SHUT UP SHUT UPPP I have never been this mad at the writing of a character or this uncomfortable watching an anime and I've watched sh*t like Redo of a Healer. Which was, if you even care, interesting for me and didn't make me want to k*ll myself because there the protagonist acknowledges himself being a bad person (well actually he thinks hes the good guy and that revenge is good and sexy asf but yk what i actually mean is bro is self-aware). This is more of a rant than a review so please don't send a bomb to my location. Thank you for reading and stay away from this abomination for all eternity
It's about time anime added more representation. In this anime, we have white women, who are only shown as side characters in movies and real life. Karen is the main character. Though she is Japanese, she emanates the spirit of white women everywhere, and she makes me proud. If dogs could understand anime, would they enjoy this show? I don't know; I don't speak dog. However, if you are an anime degenerate, this show is mandatory watch. If you are normal human being, skip. You won't understand the messages in this anime. Is the story unique? Yes If it was predictable, did you enjoy it anyway because you like this genre/set-up? It's not predictable. You think "surely they won't go farther than this", and then they do Do you think the art style is fitting for the story? Yes Were the characters well-rounded? Nekotani is the best character. Better than Karen. The details on her outfit and the scenarios she is placed in communicate her role as...other-than-human... Did they have flaws and strengths, or were they unusually strong/smart/stupid? MC, unfortunately, is dumb, and doesn't take full advantage of the opportunities given. Did the characters react to situations and events in a realistic way? ...yes. Do you think others will enjoy/dislike this series, even if you didn't? Why? As stated above...if you're a normie, skip. If you're a connoisseur of fine anime, skip. But if you're a degen, binge this show NOW.
I have never seen anything so appalling before. I went in watching blind, that was my first mistake. My second mistake was when I laid my eyes on the first episode, I thought this was already going to be a weird anime because he was reincarnated as a dog. But, I had hope that they would change it into something wholesome where we see the life of some teenage girl going through some drama in her life. But... sadly no. My third mistake was continuing and watching the entire series. I want to throw up. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS UNLESS YOU ARE A WEIRDO.
Just don't. Why are you here? I hear Attack on Titan has another final season part 56 - go watch that. Do not watch this. I don't know why I watched this. I lay awake at night asking god for forgiveness. In case you did not catch that - do. not. watch. this. Yes it is exactly what it seems like. No it has no redeemable qualities. Go invest your time in something worthwhile. Honestly the only reason I'm typing this up is to warn my fellow brothers to steer clear of this monstrosity. If you are curious (why???) go seek professional help. Therapy isgood.
This anime receives an unjust amount of criticism, while the appreciation it does receive is often in the "so bad, it's good" category. However, I firmly believe that this anime is truly a masterpiece. OP and ED: The opening and ending themes of the show are exceptional and deserve praise. Unlike many anime, I never felt the need to skip them. With a perfect duration of just one minute, both the ED and OP hit the sweet spot. They succinctly deliver their message without overstaying their welcome. The songs are incredibly catchy, and the visuals perfectly capture the show's tone. The opening gets me excited for theupcoming episode, while the ending wraps things up on a positive note, leaving me in a good mood after each episode. Animation and Visuals: Nobody can deny it in good faith; the ecchi in this show is seriously creative and fun. The way they utilize the angles from a dog's perspective is nothing short of divine. Moreover, the extensive use of first-person POV effectively immerses viewers into Pochita's experiences. The animation and art in the series are truly top-notch, and all three waifus are superbly designed. Narrative: With snappy, action-packed, half-length episodes, this show keeps you hooked from start to finish. The mystery surrounding Pochita's situation will leave you finding yourself just as curious as Pochita about his circumstances. The masterfully adaptation of classic ecchi comedy tropes to fit this distinctive take on the genre really pays off with endless hilarity. Characters: The star of the show, Pochita, is a first class harem protagonist. Instead of taking the easy route of making him a pervert, the show presents him as a gentleman. He is forced make the choices he does by his circumstances. His gradual acceptance of his role as Inukai's loyal and faithful dog is fantastic character development. Whenever Pochita fufills his role as mankind’s servant and helps people, it fills me with a sense of pride for his character. Inukai's growth from a cold and distant individual, following the loss of her previous dog, to finding newfound joy in life thanks to Pochita, is genuinely heartwarming. Her role as the doting owner of Pochita is a master-servant dynamic executed in the most pleasant way. Nekotani's portrayal as a tsundere in this show is fantastic, and she fits in seamlessly. Her fear of dogs adds a straightforward yet impactful dimension to her character, contributing to the plot's development in a meaningful way. Tsukishiro serves as an excellent rival to Inukai for Pochita's affection. Her love for him when he was human and Inukai's love for him as a dog create a spicy love triangle that adds plenty of heat to the story. Conclusion: I highly recommend giving this show a chance or even rewatching it with an open mind. I sincerely hope you'll be able to experience the same beautiful emotions that I did while watching it. It's definitely worth a try!
On one hand it's a pretty sad and thought provoking story about how women treat dogs better than men. On the other hand it's completely a degenerate story about weird kinks and bestiality. The art is very good and it's pretty good overall, it just seems like some of it drags on too long like a family guy joke. Also, can we talk about how reviewers are complaining about the plotline? I don't think that's why one would watch a show like this story: 3/10 oppai: 10/10 (but there were too few) art: 8/10 overall:7/10 too many dogs Apparently that's not enough information for my review so: dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs dogs
When i first watched anime, i thought that this is just a anime, until i watch for 8 minutes (in ep 1), i started realize that this anime had a problem in it, and.....know that, 11 eps (+ 2 ovas) are such a nightmare for me. I feel my ancestor(s) are looking down on me because i watch this anime, i rethinking my life again when i finished this anime and for those who want to watch this anime. NO, i wont recommend this, and if you finish this, please go touch grass, it's better (this is my first review nah) And one more, why isa dog, i just thought that is a maid or something but.....this is a dog, yes, a real dog and with a view of the dog you can see.....(you know, right), so please dont watch anime, like me, you will have a nightmare
My Life as Inukai-san's Dog is the type of anime that the ecchi industry needs with urgency. Recently It has been unfortunate that only because anime is genre ecchi, the creators need to put more effort into developing the story (ex., Immoral Guild or Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World). My Life as Inukai-san's Dog will introduce you to a well-developed story. The story starts with an exciting mystery, and each chapter will take you by the hand the solve the mystery. I want to highlight my last statement: "Each chapter will take you by the hand the solve the mystery." It is incredible how you,as a spectator, will understand and resolve the puzzle of what occurs to our protagonist in each chapter. Because an anime has fan service, many jerks lose their ability to follow a good story and only can focus on the boobs. The kind of people who didn't understand the story is the ones that understate this great anime. Now, talking about the fan service, I want to highlight the good scenes here. Due to the original story, you will find ecchi scenes you have yet to see in other anime. An extraordinary, but overall, original erotism that the fans of the ecchi genre have been asking for during the last seasons. If you enjoy ecchi or good short stories, you won't regret watching My Life as Inukai-san's Dog. Don't let the jerks that, due to fanservice, can't concentrate on understanding a story discourage you from enjoying this excellent anime. Finally, please don't misunderstand me. I am not saying that the story of this anime deserves an Oscar. However, it is an anime with a well-developed narrative you will enjoy.
The first part of this review is about how I feel. The second about the actual show. This Anime is for me the most disgusting show I've ever seen. The minors we're supposed to be attracted to sexually abuse the dog. I don't care, if he's a transformed human. The girls don't know that, when they use him to masturbat. I don't know why something like this got an Anime and they should cancel the Manga or move it to a R18 fetish Magazine. The Main Character finds himself with a new body. Buuut its a dogs body and he ends up being adobted. The show isabout his new life as a pet and about all the sexualy charged adventuers he goes thrue. The Animation are lower industry standart. The music as well. The Voiceactors made a good performance, poor talents that have this show now in their resume. The characterdesings were bland and story not existing. The show has 12 episodes with a duration of 12 minutes including opening and ending. It has a censored and an uncensored version.
So I watched a reviewer on this anime, and they had a very strong opinion on it, so I thought I'd give this anime a watch. Even though they basically said not to without saying it lol. For starts the story is pretty simple. MC gets turned into a dog. Girl that he has a crush on finds him, and adopts him. MC, as a dog, gets to third base with his crush and some other girls. All in the effort to find a way to become human again. Though this anime is an example of good quality doesn't mean it's great. Like the quality wasreally good for the anime, though I think the main reason it doesn't get love is the girls are basically getting off on dogs. Man's best friend more like Woman's best tool lol. Though let's leave that part out. As a standard ecchi anime it's alright. And alright does not mean good. I've seen some ecchi anime, and the ones I enjoy most are ones that can use it for comedic purposes or has a good story. Not to say the story isn't good here, but it's very simple. Now would I recommend watching this? If you're a curious watcher go for it. The worse it gets is girls getting off on dogs licking them. I was thinking it was like full on fourth base with dogs, but it's not thankfully. At least Man's best friend still retain some dignity. Though it still doesn't give them justice lol. But all in all watch at your own risk
Ive seen a lot of denegrate anime, by looking at my profile pic u can tell that....HOWEVER....Nothing comes close as this anime. Why and who decided to greenlit this? I merely belive this anime was to made just to torture all of us. You know what the worst part about this is? There is actual artistic effort in it..The characther designs-cute, Opening and ending song-SLAPS!, animation- pretty good. I have witenessed the horrors of this seasons anime and Im afraid I cannot go back and unsee it. When your dog loving crush loves dogs a little too much and you happen to just turn into a dog oneday. The main characther is a zoophile for sure. I dont know what kind of freak came up with this idea or how, but props to you writer for truely making something so denegrate. If you want to witness the horrors and most denegrate bits of what this seasons anime has to offer then I reccomend. However if you wish to consume good, story driven media then well...I got some bad news for ya.
Let me be clear i gave 1 more points for the boobs , wich is why this anime is good at. Other than that the zoophilia aside, the story had some funny and interesting plot IF they would have followed through with more context to the story. There was no substance to the anime . I have seen some FU*cked up anime before, with Lolicon ( Dance the Vampirebund) and or Goblin slayer wich had R*pe scenes in it and no one bats an eye so to say the zoophilia plot is what kills it , its just being unfair. The story it self was anticlimactic till thevery last episode where the villain reveals it self. I wish it would had had more suspense maybe more dark turns here and there while our protagonists puts the pieces together , but NOOO all it was in my honest opinion was cute and OPPAI. The story could have been different, but this just feels like it did excel at what it does best...FAN SERVICE other than that...mehh I would not recommend it for that reason alone, i will read ahead on the anime see if anything changes but i doubt it.... Now with all the negative reviews and low score of 5 ....we will never see this anime have a second season and its a shame.
Inu ni Nattara Suki na Hito ni Hirowareta is the greatest dog anime of 2023. No dog anime of 2023 even comes close. Also, Inu ni Nattara Suki na Hito ni Hirowareta is the worst dog anime of 2023. Mind you, I actually enjoyed it. Yeah, its trash, but you aren't watching this anime unless you already know that. It's about a dog getting under skirts and helping girls with their clothes. If you can enjoy this, you are at the tippoty top of the anime community. Animation 7/10 - Peak camera angles, good fanservice Sound 6/10 - OP/ED are prettydecent, VA work is bare minimum. Story 1/10 - It's a story about a dog looking up skirts and putting his nose where it belongs. Characters 1/10 - They exist, but no depth. Enjoyment 7/10 - The episodes are 10 mins, mine were uncensored, and so, I found it easy to watch, and enjoyed it for what it was. I can't in good conscience recommend this to anyone other than a peak anime fan.
I would have rewatched redo of the healer instead of this.. No srls my ones reaction to this: Joe Pesci - What the Fuck Is This Piece of Shit? (Tales from the Crypt)me doesn't understand this anime.. if you are the chosen one with understands this anime, please senpai, lend me your aid with your teachings xD Jokes a side, don't expect anything good from this.
Anime was a mistake We went from space monkey fighting another space monkey to a girl who wants to practice beastiality with her dog Someone in japan decided to pitch this idea to an anime and the producer somehow agreed to greenlit this into an anime and over 100+ people agreed to take part of making this anime and aired them. Japan....Why?.....why Japan.....WHY??? This is why alien hasn't invaded us yet. This is why Harambe left us. And this is why my dad left to get some milk in the grocery store ( a joke ofc don't take it seriously) In a word of the great Anime Zone Gigguk" This could be someone first Anime". After hearing that, i was afraid that it might be true. No longer people will recommend an anime that starts with boku but didn't end with academia, they will recommend this to a newcomer instead of that In conclusion, Don't waste your time watching this. Just go and watch Redo of Healer
