Takuto Ira spent his short life confined to a hospital bed, with the civilization-building game Eternal Nations as his only form of entertainment. His favorite faction within the game—Mynoghra—was infamously complex to navigate and skewed toward evil; moreover, he insisted on playing at the highest difficulty. After his untimely death, Takuto awakens in a world uncannily reminiscent of Eternal Nations. He is reincarnated as the King of Ruin, sovereign of Mynoghra itself. At his side stands Odei no Atou, the default hero unit of his chosen nation. Remembering every battle they fought together, she pledges unwavering loyalty to Takuto once more. As Takuto begins to build Mynoghra from scratch in this new world, his early-game strategy remains unchanged: lie low, avoid war, and ensure survival at all costs—ironic for an evil ruler meant to conquer the world. When he offers refuge to persecuted Dark Elves fleeing destruction, a fledgling empire born of a darkness the world has yet to understand begins to take shape. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

I heard Mynoghra is kinda famous among other light novel reader, but I'm suprised why its score is too low. Is it because typical isekai? No... The concept is quite fresh, almost similar to Overlord but it's unique. But then after a few episodes I understand why people don't really like it. MC use strategies instead of using his own power and experience everything by himself. I personally find it a bit boring, like that "Realist Hero Rebuilt Kingdom" We are excited to see every character...but MC feels like an NPC that doesn't add something to the story itself. I must say Atou (the servant) acts more likeMain Character than Takuto (the reincarnated MC). Weird, isn't it? This anime is unique, but it's the supporting character who keep it alive, not the MC. I write it after watching eps 12, but I'm sure the additional last episode won't change my opinion.

This has to be the most pathetic MC I've ever seen. I understand he is supposed to be "shy" but damn this was painful to watch. I really don't understand the appeal when he is constantly stuttering, crying, and apologizing in every scene. All the NPC characters worship him unconditionally so really nothing he says matters anyways. The kingdom-building aspect is a joke and seems more like an afterthought. It goes from silly fantasy in the first half to boring monster battles in the second half. They introduce all these game mechanics but the characters are so shallow and boring it seems pointless.
I read yalls reviews and yall just hating because this isnt your niche, I've been watching awesome and horrible anime this past year and i honestly thought the anime wasnt half bad. it had plot, not afraid to show some blood, and quite a bit of character dev going on in my sense. overall this anime was pretty good. i loved the type of fantasy isekai genre this one had. adding strategy games was a cool little knowledge take. i also liked that it was not afraid to be gory. for what its worth i think its a 9/10. just my opinion :p Honestly, i thinkif you an older head and are more into those strategy games back in the early 2000s you'll enjoy it. im hopeful for a 2nd season.
What had a premising plot turned into a bunch of bullshit in the end, a complete waste of time and another anime that is being sent to the trash heap with absolutely zero redeeming qualities. Awful animation with absolutely no fights that captured my attention. A pussy MC that is given everything he wants and doesn't have to work for anything. The twins are just the cherry on top of the steaming pile of horse shit that was this anime when they went from being doting side characters to absurd op hero's at the end. Character development? Fuck that because who needs to make characterswith any depth that improve or change in any meaningful way. Ts pmo.
Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra is, in my opinion, one of the underrated shows of Summer 2025. That said, it’s not an anime for everyone. The synopsis barely conveys what the series is actually about, and unless you’re familiar with this niche, it’s hard to know whether you’ll enjoy it. The execution also has its fair share of flaws, so I understand why many viewers bounce off. The easiest way to describe this anime is through comparisons: imagine a mix of The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt, How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom, An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride(mainly for the MC/Atou dynamics), and Overlord. It’s not a copy of any of them, but it fits neatly into that “nation-building RPG” subgenre. The best way to enjoy it is as a fun, “trashy-but-entertaining” show. It doesn’t aim to be a masterpiece, but if you approach it with that mindset, it can be surprisingly enjoyable. Story & Themes: At its core, this is a settlement/nation management anime with fantasy elements like magic and buffs. The story revolves around building the kingdom of Mynoghra, which is evil-aligned in this world. That twist creates some interesting dynamics: only neutral or evil nations can ally with them, leading to unusual diplomacy after battles and border defense. Another unique hook is the crossover with games from Takuto’s original world, which pits the kingdom against unexpected outside forces. The premise is strong, but the execution struggles. The biggest problem is pacing. Episodes often drag, stretching simple arcs (like a revenge subplot or battle) into three episodes when they could’ve been resolved in one. Honestly, the whole 12-episode run could’ve been condensed into six without losing much. If slow-burn progression frustrates you, this will be a major turn-off. Characters: The characters are serviceable but generic. Takuto, the protagonist, is easily the weakest link—bland, uninteresting, and mostly sidelined. Atou, his devoted subordinate, ends up carrying the show as the de facto leader of Mynoghra, with Takuto only stepping in for big-picture decisions. Their relationship is subtly sweet, but Takuto himself isn’t compelling. Side characters fall into cliché archetypes and don’t add much depth. Overall, the cast is pretty forgettable. Battles & Animation: The battles are another weak point. Fights either end too quickly or drag on far longer than needed, lacking the impact that could’ve elevated them. The animation doesn’t help—it’s not awful, but it’s solidly mediocre. Character movements are stiff, battle choreography feels uninspired, and the flat presentation only highlights the flaws in pacing and writing. The series deserved better production quality. Ending: The ending is quite mediocre, and feels rushed, not outright bad, but ends in a way where I feel that I didn't get as much progression as I would've wanted out of a 12 episode run. Final Thoughts: Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra has an intriguing premise and sits comfortably in the “nation-building fantasy” niche. It offers a trashy kind of fun if you enjoy slow-paced world-building and kingdom management. But if you’re expecting tight pacing, impactful fights, or standout characters, you’ll likely be disappointed. For me, it scratched the itch for this subgenre despite its flaws. 7.5/10
Mynoghra was a big let down all things considered. For something with the potential to be a breath of fresh air in Isekai, what you get is a million half baked weird ideas that can't even take themselves seriously. Things start off incredibly. Interesting characters, fresh ideas, an evil aligned MC who doesn't only go halfway. As things progress however, they keep adding things when there's already so much they need to flesh out. For a 13 episode show it means everything just kinda falls flat. Remember that relationship building between the MC and Atou, the best character of the show. Well, forget about it, heres someother random slop. I haven't read the source material, but man I just know it is better thought out than this. It's not terrible, but sucks knowing that this had the potential to be actually really good and refreshing for the genre. Each episode felt less and less exciting, a shame for a show that left the first episode with what seemed incredible.
At the beginning, this show actually seemed somewhat promising. The animation was serviceable, nothing groundbreaking, but decent enough, and the voice acting did its job without being distracting. The story and overall concept, at first glance, felt like they had real potential, and for a short while, I was genuinely interested to see where it would go. It gave the impression that it might turn into something worthwhile. Unfortunately, that initial spark didn’t last long. The show quickly slid downhill and devolved into what felt like just another poorly executed Iseki cash grab. Instead of building on its early promise, it fell into the same tiredclichés and overused formulas that plague so many forgettable series. The plot had no real depth, relying heavily on recycled tropes and predictable storytelling that failed to capture any sense of originality or engagement. It honestly felt rushed and uninspired, to the point where watching became more of a chore than entertainment. By the end, I regretted sticking it out. I only pushed through to finish the series for the sake of closure, but it felt like a waste of time. Compared to the manga and light novel, which seem to have far more substance, the anime comes across as a watered-down adaptation that fails to do its source material justice. This version felt hollow, lacking the care or creativity that could have made it shine. In short, I cannot recommend watching this show, it’s repetitive, shallow, and ultimately forgettable.

Simple: It's heroes of might and magic in anime. If you liked the game, you'll like this anime. It purely awesome. They follow every step of the creation of a evil empire. I really hope there will be more seasons. Characters have charisma, they are strange in various way, but still evil, and that's nice to see. Scenario is great and well worked. It's not an isekai like we are used to, here, the isekai is just a excuse to introduce the character, but hey who cares, the story is original and great ! I don't understand the curent rating, I think it deserve more ^^
This has some interesting ideas sprinkled throughout, but it doesn't really capitalize on them, and thus it ends up being meidocre. Interesting idea #1 is being a 4X strategy game isekai, so instead of being the 99999th anime pulling from Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy, this is cribbing off of the Civilization franchise. I enjoy 4x games so this held some promise for me, but in practice all it meant was that some characters are "built" from "mana". It's functionally indistinguishable from them showing up out of nowhere as they would in any other story, so it's mostly pointless. Interesting idea #2 is that the"cheat skills" come from a mashup of different genres, so the protagonist has his 4X cheat skills, while other characters have RPG cheat skills, and perhaps there will be dating sim cheat skills. But as of the end of season 1, these have mostly just acted like any other anime asspulls to arbitrarily resolve tension in battle scenes. Nothing special really happens and it's impossible to reasonably predict where any of this will go, so it's not particularly engaging. Interesting idea #3 is that the protagonist is leading the "evil" nation, which could give an excuse to move away from the typical nonsensical anime morality system. However, this is almost immediately subverted when the protagonist claims "evil" = "do whatever you want", which really means "do the right thing, but with a bit more violence". That leaves a fairly bog-standard isekai that only has middling execution. There's a decent helping of unfunny reaction comedy, a boring unconfident protagonist, and a flat supporting cast. This series passed the time on my daily commute but was otherwise completely forgettable.
Wannabe ruthless cold mc type sh!t basically overlord in simple words The premise of anime is very intresting despite it follows very famous genric isekai tropes but still it failed to make a strong impact . There are various reasons for a weak imapct not stating all , trying to keep review short and on point . The main reason is weak mc personality .He rarely take initiative and motivate others . We still don't know the true powers of him maybe we gonna witness them in next season . Voice acting is also poor as we know deep voice is very crucial for these kindof anime . Other important point is that they mixed various worlds or games in a single another world where mc got transported or reincarnated . This made whole concept of anime very messy not unable to understand proper world building and deep connection of characters with each other . Hope they can improve in next season .

Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra had strong potential, but the anime dragged itself down with slow pacing and wasted focus on side characters like Erakino and Soalina, whose late “reveal” lacked any real payoff. The show spent entire episodes on minor backstories, then dumped crucial information in the last two, leaving the real climax feeling like it already happened earlier. Honestly, Atou was probably the only reason I stuck around to the end, since she was my Waifu in the series. The premise is solid, but this first season was weak. If you want background noise while gaming it works, but if you’re after a gripping watchit will disappoint. Here’s hoping for a second season to fix things and to Make Mynoghra Great Again.

First of all, I have seen a lot of people singing the praises of this anime and calling it one of the gems in the isekai genre for this season of anime in 2025. Personally, I see the vision this show has, but the execution of it fumbles the bag in a few areas. Our MC, Ira Takuto, is a massive fan of a game called "Eternal Nations", a 4X RTS city-builder. He is explained to be a very experienced player of said game too, as he's completed it while playing as "Mynoghra", the hardest faction to win with. The reason it's the hardest, is that thenation is "pure evil", so gets rushed by every other NPC and player-run faction. Due to our MC having a terminal illness, he passes away while playing the game, only to get reincarnated in a new world as something akin to his in-game alter-ego from Eternal Nations. Alongside himself, "Atou", one of the heroes of the Mynoghra faction from the game, gets transported or reincarnated as well. In this new world, she actually "remembers" who Ira Takuto is, and acts as his right-hand. Initially believing themselves to be inside the game-world of Eternal Nations, they start making plans to build up their nation of Mynoghra. With this, Mynoghra appears to be another LitRPG-Isekai story, with an included narrative about the MC building up a nation. It's a decent premise, although not a unique one, as it's pretty similar in scope to Overlord, or, due to the fact that Mynoghra starts out at 0 and not transported wholesale with level 100s, it could also be compared fairly well with something like Tensura (although Tensura is not LitRPG). However, partway through this season, a unique character gets introduced, which hints at a bit of a twist in the overall narrative, which is further expanded in the later episodes too. I can't say much on it without completely spoiling it, so I'll have to just say that it definitely improved my enjoyment of the show once I figured it out, and made me curious to see what could potentially happen in an eventual Season 2. Unfortunately though, I am by no means saying that Mynoghra is a flawless work of art because of that twist. Going back to my comparison series, whereas both Overlord and Tensura have incredible (imo) first seasons, with a decent balance between action, world-building and character development, Mynoghra initially follows more along the path set-out by Tensura Season 3. Why do I say Tensura Season 3? Well, that season was heavily criticised, due to the first handful of episodes being nothing but characters around a table, engaging in a yap-fest. Mynoghra commits a similar sin. The first half of this season is nothing but world-building and fluff, with nothing to break up the eventual monotony of it. Now, of course, I'm not saying world-building is a bad thing at all, but if that's the focus (solely even), it needs to be deep, interesting and worthwhile to the viewer. I can't honestly say that Mynoghra's is particularly deep during those first few episodes. Thankfully, as already mentioned, the later episodes do pick up the pace with the inclusion of the big plot-twist, and we also finally get some much-needed action amidst the world-building elements. However, another flaw in this show gets revealed at that point. The animation quality. The first few episodes had nice visuals and a more unique look to them, leading me to think this show could have decent production quality. The fact is though that action scenes are not a lot better than your typical low-budget isekai/fantasy. Quite a few cut-aways, slide-show elements... Just not what I was expecting. Overall, I think Mynoghra Season 1 suffered from some poor pacing, and, despite not knowing anything about the original source material, a nagging feeling is telling me that this adaptation is missing something. The darkness and grittiness that I get the impression should be omni-present, feel muted and downplayed somewhat, especially in those initial episodes. It's not an unenjoyable show, just... lacking something. Although I do think that Myoghra is better than several other shows in this sub-genre, it doesn't come close to the greats of Overlord or Tensura. Ultimately, although the last 3-4 episodes were definitely some of the better ones, it doesn't bring the score of the show as a whole up. I am interested in a Season 2, if we ever get it, but this Season is staying as a 6/10 "Fine" and "Mixed Feelings". It's a bit of a mixed bag.
The 4x Isekai premise is rare. It's not unique, but I was still interested to see what they'd do with it here. Not much, unfortunately. In my experience, playing 4X games on Impossible or Deity settings, you really need to min-max every scrap of resource you can find. Then, depending on how good you did that and some luck, you eventually pass a threshold where you become unstoppable to the other (AI) empires. This though, felt more like playing on the easiest setting or with cheat codes enabled. MC is supposedly a brilliant player with the most difficult to win starting position, but we never getto see this. He mostly goes "I have the perfect solution for this" and then proceeds to pull something out of thin air. There's no set-up, so there's no pay-off either. All problems are simply solved with overwhelming force. That's not a problem per se, but it makes this a power fantasy anime and I don't think that works well with the premise. MC is always away from the action, because that's how you play the game, but it also makes the story much less compelling. Anyway, 5/10 (average). Nothing really stands out
This is a unique concept . Never saw a Isekai like this. Hero? no. not at all. but evil not that too. Too OP yes world building yes. but is it like tensura? nope not at all. Is the normal good people bad? no. one isekai? no say many. this anime is just filled with people who got isekaied into a world with their fav game setting. hero is merciful and ruthless. heroine damsel in distress? nope. not at all. Isekai Mokushiroku Mynoghra: Hametsu no Bunmei de Hajimeru Sekai Seifuku is a new take on anime in isekai genre. The poster is bit confusing. but animetotally holds up. Actually idk how anyone can dislike it. a must watch
'Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra: World Conquest Starts with the Civilization of Ruin,' which I will refer to as Mynoghra for short, appears to be the typical isekai anime. Ira Takuto, a loser who enjoyed playing the video game Eternal Nations, is reborn as the King of Ruins. The isekai is set in the world of Eternal Nations, and Takuto is ruling the nation of Mynoghra. § Let's talk about the studio and staff ⚫ Mynoghra's studio is Maho Film. Even though it's barely over half a decade old, it has two titles I love: 1) Blue Miburo, and 2) I'll Become a Villainess Who Goes Downin History. ⚫ Yanase Yuuji, the director, also directed I'll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History. Like in the other anime, there are flashes of brilliance in this anime. It just falls short on a key factor. ⚫ The team of character designers, led by Deguchi Kaho, did an okay job in making them look distinct, or at least passably distinct. § Let's talk about everything else 1. Mynoghra seems to be similar to Overlord in that both involve being on the side of evil and humans are the enemies. The differences are as follows: a) The character design of Takuto is not off-putting compared to Ainz Ooal Gown. b) The female characters in Mynoghra actually admire Takuto. Since Albedo has been programmed to simp for Ainz and not due to her volition, she is not compelling as a waifu compared to the girls in Mynoghra. This is why, between these two similar stories, I prefer Mynoghra. 2. Mynoghra is pretty chill compared to Overlord because a good part of the anime has a slice-of-life pace. But it's not all that because it has good battle scenes. 3. Those who are cynical of the usual isekai formula might appreciate what the anime did during the last episodes. It's a tiny bit of worldbuilding that you may or may not appreciate, but I do and it's good. Hint: It's the way that Takuto's knowledge of Eternal Nations is not a guarantee that he would succeed. 4. What keeps me from giving this anime a high score is Takuto's passivity. It's akin to the protagonist's flaw in Greek tragedy. a) This passivity led to something undesirable, even if it had seemed that it was going to be an easy victory. b) This passivity prevented him from seeing his capabilities. Sadly, had he known this, a different outcome would have taken place. 5. Takuto did recognise his mistake. Unfortunately, having established him as a passive character, his trying to take a more active role doesn't seem that inspiring. For all the faults of Overlord, whose character design is off-putting, its virtue lies in having Ainz take an active role to advance the plot. 6. Since Takuto is uninspiring as a protagonist, the real protagonist seems to be Atou, and later the Erful sisters, Caria and Maria. From the negotiation with the dark elves and the everyday decision-making, Atou's initiative stands in contrast to Takuto's passivity. 7. With regards to Takuto's strategy, his passive personality leads him to take a pacifist strategy whilst building resources. In the game, it was an effective strategy for him. But in this world, it shows some irony. An evil kingdom is ironically peaceful. But humans, with all the rationality usually ascribed to them by Aristotle, are warmongers. Still, the anime refuses to be reduced to two sides of monsters versus humans. There are multiple sides to the story, which is not apparent at the start. § Conclusion It's a mildly interesting and complex story. I didn't expect it to be a bit different than the usual isekai. Unfortunately, it's hard to root for the protagonist, which is why I can only give this a passing score. NOTA BENE: A rating of 5 out of 10 means that 1) I find this anime to be average, 2) I enjoyed it to some extent, but it has some flaws. 3) Or simply, I rank it below my 6's but above my 4's. A 5 means a passing score. If you're the kind of viewer who treats anything below a 7 as irredeemable, I'd encourage a broader, more nuanced approach to rating. My enjoyment spectrum lies from 4 to 10. If I have scored an anime below 4, I actively dislike it.

OOOOOOKAYYYYY, I decided to watch this anime after the hype it got on Fb. Read the Synopsis and I was like "let's go!"... Then it hit me... 1st ep, I still forgave the animation thinking it would be better in a fight scene| NO. the animation was HORRIBLE. Even the fight scene were incredibly dull. The character? They say they were EVIL, evil in my... The only evil character that was sometimes evil was Atoû, well actually not totally. All of them were just watermelon character that self proclaimed evil. The only character I actually appreciate was Isla, but of couuuuurse she has to be killedso the Twin can be STUPIDLY OP for absolutely NO REASON at all. And the MC, the sugarpumpkin MC, who is shy, crybaby, the "Gomenasai" King. Ahhh My dear Dear Evil King,How can you be that Useless? You don't even know how strong you are, and you didn't even care to try, when the Hero Isla died, He didn't even try to act. I was betting a lot on him but I lost LOL. He didn't do shit until the end. And it was frustrating. The pacing, I'm a big fan of a world building anime and actually watched all episode of TSSDK including the longass meeting, but in ABM, it feels like forced, and unnecessary long for a 13ep anime. Watched till the end for absolutely nothing. I'm disappointed
Bringer of Mynoghra season 1 was a refreshing experience. From the very first episode, the anime sets itself apart with it's protagonist Takuto being seen a tjis evil like entity which was a very interesting start. His relationship with Atou is such a fun dynamic. Story (7/10): The plot builds steadily and does a good job of mixing worldbuilding with strategy. Watching Takuto develop Mynoghra from scratch and slowly establish himself in a hostile world kept me engaged throughout. The pacing isn’t it'sstrongest point but it balances slower political/worldbuilding parts with bursts of conflict well. Characters (7/10): Takuto is an interesting lead, seen as some "evil" entityby majority of the side characters and therfore his dynamics with other characters becomes more enjoyable. The dynamic with Atou is just something I love. Side characters are still a bit underdeveloped, but the season left enough hints that they’ll play bigger roles later so I hope there will be season 2. Art & Animation (7/10): The visuals aren’t top-tier, but the atmosphere is done well. The darker color palette fits Mynoghra’s “civilization of ruin” theme perfectly. Designs and setting carry the mood. Sound (8/10): The soundtrack exceeds expectations, emphasizing tension and emotion in all the right moments. Both the opening and ending themes fit the dark fantasy tone and add to the immersive experience. Enjoyment (9/10): This is where the series shines for me. The mix of strategy, dark fantasy, and character bonds made it a binge worthy watch. Overall: Bringer of Mynoghra season 1 is a strong start, with a unique premise, solid worldbuilding. And there is much potential for season 2.

It is clearly a parody anime. If you enjoyed Overlord and Tensura, you'll like this. It plays off of the same sort of themes as both of these stories, with its own twist. This could honestly even pass for an 'abridged' version of either Overlord or Slime, it's so similar. But it builds to the flaws of its inspiration. It's trying to be funny, slice of life, but in the same sort of 'what if'-isms that I'm sure you asked yourself while watching or reading either Overlord or Slime. Don't expect any plot other than 'isekai world building' with some moderately funny jokes
This is an odd one, and for me a hard series to review as this is my second attempt at reviewing this This should have just been a simple "this is an enjoyable trash isekai" review, and yet it isn't because it should have been better than that, it is enjoyable to watch, it is good, and yet it gnaws at you, it is like an itch, there is something wrong and you can't quite put your finger on it, so I scrapped my original review and come back to it as I think I know what was eating at me. This series is definitely not onthe same level as Tensura even though they both focus on nation building and some similar themes, this is after all Sid Myers Civilisation the anime. It lacks the animation quality, the depth, the quality of story, the worldbuilding and the same level of character development as Tensura... and yet for all of that it felt like the simplistic approach worked well here. All too often lower budget 'trash' isekai follow the same generic plot and structure, there is very little original about them as those that have original concepts get given a bigger budget. This is a case where we have a fairly original concept and stand out premise, and yet it was not given a budget, and while the studio behind it are perfectly capable and have produced some good series, they are also responsible for the most average trash out there, and this really doesn't feel like they put in their best work. So straight away this was not a good start and it had the deck stacked against it, this should not have been a trash isekai, and yet the way it was handled, its budget and its oh so average animation and designs has resulted in it falling into the 'trash isekai' bracket. The worldbuilding and story are fairly straightforward there is nothing complicated here so you can just focus on enjoying the series without having to think too deeply about things and trying to keep up with different story threads. The characters have personality to them, and while they don't have huge depth to them there is just enough, and it develops them as is needed, the series is after all more character focused, with Atou and the Twins being the true main characters and main focus, and personally Atou is the best character in it. I feel it is best to stay light on the details as there is a lot that is original about this series, so I don't want to spoil anything, so I would normally say go in and give it a try, but the adaptation makes me hesitant to recommend it, so although I haven't read the manga myself I almost feel like recommending the manga instead, although you would then miss out on Tomori's performance as Atou. It's easy for me to compare this to Overlord, they are both Dark Rulers of their kingdom, with their aids, trying to behave like Dark Lords, while having been transported to a strange world they know nothing about. But they are very different, they take a dramatically different approach, and I personally prefer Apocalypse Bringer as I felt it stayed true to itself and was more consistent, it resolved a lot of the issues I had with Overlord which made it more enjoyable for me. This series deserved a bigger budget, better care and attention because as watching it, it is an enjoyable trash isekai, but you can tell it has something about it, it has potential to be better, to be a really good series if it had just been in better hands
