Gokicha is a small cockroach girl who has moved from Kanto to Hokkaido. She hopes the people in Hokkaido, who are less used to her kind, will become her friends. Despite her best intentions, however, she always seems to find herself on the bottom of someone's shoe or covered in insecticide. As Gokicha and her friend Chaba try to make it on the streets, it becomes apparent that the lives of cockroaches are full of peril. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

This was one of the most simple anime I've ever seen, but it's nevertheless heart warming. The story's about an anthropomorphic cockroach girl who wants to befriend humans, but gets treated as all cockroaches get treated by humans. The episodes are very short, each about 8 minutes long, there are only 2 episodes released so far, and the animation is basic. The characters don't actually move their mouths when they talk, and a lot of "action" scenes are repetitive. Overall, the simplicity of the story, the characters, and the situations is surprisingly heart warming. If you want to feel good, and have 16 minutes tospare, you should definitely check this out.
Truly the best piece of work ever created by Japan, this is the peak, and they should've stopped after this as it only goes down from here. If you say there are anime that are better than this, look again because clearly, you're lying to yourself. If you don't have Gokicha or Chaba as your waifu, then are you even enjoying anime? As for the anime itself, who needs eye-opening animations when you have cockroaches as girls? The character design on its own should be enough to satisfy most people. Sound? Amazing. Opening and ending themes are bangers. Give it a watch, and you'll enjoy it thoroughlyand as for people who didn't, watch it again as clearly you didn't watch it correctly the first time.
So, here we have Gokicha!! Cockroach girls. I expected a lot more from this, even after seeing that it was 'ongoing' apparently. This is a very short anime (16 minutes) but it is really heart-warming, hence why I set the story so high up. However, everything else about this anime though is a general disappointment. To begin with, the animation is awful, the characters don't even move their mouths when they talk, the actions scenes are basically looped over and over. What annoyed me most though is the potential this anime had all went to waste, for example, the characters don't get developed furtherthan their origins and their names...thoroughly disappointed with this anime, I don't recommend you watch it unless you're really bored and have a spare 16 minutes
What can i say? They even maded cockroaches cute. Story: I mean if you look from cockroach perspective its being hurt always, no one likes her and other thing ( my type of shit ). So simple and yet so good is why i gave 10 instead of 9 at overall. Ending got me quite shocked. Sound: Didn't even notice sound at all through whole anime ( maybe cause i was so intro it ) so its 6/10 Art: It was perfect but still a little bit more art would be nice. 9/10 Character: I got intro anime so much that i even tryed to think like MCand feel like her, gave me goosegumps. 10/10 Enjoyment: It was so nice, enjoyed both episodes so much, at least i wanted to see 1 or 2 more episodes cause of ending. ( manga is a little bit different ) Overall: 10 Totaly didn't waste my time i had for break at job. 20 minutes of total enjoyment. Fucking nice anime.
This is a show which could have been really good, given the kind of care and funding other shows get. The premise is simple but easily enough to fill a twelve-episode series, as opposed to the short two episodes we got. The animation is janky and underproduced, but at its core all the problems being faced by this series are the result of factors outside of its control, which is oddly fitting given the theme. The factors within its control are all well-done. The show manages to be emotionally heavy despite its brevity, and the main character is interesting and amicable. There'sroom for a lot of ethical philosophy within the writing of the show which they seem keen on exploring. But inn the end we get only two episodes, so that's all. All in all this was a good show hamstrung by its funding and the realities of corporate media manufacture.
It's not awful, and if you have 14–15 minutes to spare, you could watch it. A cute anime about cockroach girls and the struggle of being a roach, the plot is not very deep, nor are any characters, and I wouldn't say it's too funny. It doesn't take itself too seriously and if you're looking for something extraordinary, this is not it. Most would call it a waste of time, but it's not that unpleasant . Just okay. A plus is if I say the designs of the roach girls are pretty cute. The art- style isnt very unique, typical anime from the 2010s.
As always my reveiw will be short and simple, much like this anime. Gokicha!! Cockroach Girl! Is very short only 2 episodes at 8 minutes each, it is "ongoing" but episodes haven't been released in awhile so this anime might have died out. The animation is extremely simple and almost made me stop watching, the few action scenes were looped or at least seemed that way, the characters rarely moved their mouths to speak. I feel the basic idea behind the anime is great, viewing the world from from a cockroaches perspective was very interesting and kinda funny sometimes. There doesn't seem to be a central story but sinceit's only on episode two it's kinda soon to make that assumption. I hope this anime will be continued at some point, despite its many flaws if they play their cards right I think this could be a hit for a niche group.
