A few months after the events of Steins;Gate, Rintarou Okabe and his group of friends are invited to tag along with their acquaintance Faris NyanNyan, who is participating in a Rai-Net battle event in the United States. There, they meet up with an old colleague: Kurisu Makise, who has been recalling fragmented memories of events that happened in the other world lines in the form of dreams. She confronts Okabe, questioning him as to whether these events—particularly the incidents between the two of them—did indeed happen. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

White Fox does it again. Instead of a generic beach episode that we witnessed maybe a million times already in many different anime series we get a true sequel to the Steins;Gate anime series in this special titled: Oukoubakko no Poriomania or in English Egoistic Poriomania. And this special has everything. EVERYTHING! Extremely funny comedy moments. Strong plot moments. Romance. Okarin speaking hilarious English. Christina with cat ears and in a maid uniform. Daru in an Hawaiian shirt. A Suzuha 'look-alike' that drinks with Okarin in a bar. White Fox knows how to spend their budget right. If you seen many anime series you know that usually inthese kind of special extra episodes we get some crappy beach episodes and not true sequels to their respective series. But White Fox knows how to make their anime good and that's why I love you, White Fox. We can now safely say that Steins;Gate boasts with an amount of zero filler episodes, every episode has a very strong importance to the plot. Story: 10 The story in Oukoubakko no Poriomania starts on-the-mark from the very beginning. We see Okarin walking in a desert-like road speaking to himself on his shiny closed cellphone (Damn I want a cellphone like his), saying the usual stuff we expect from him such as 'This is the choice of Steinzu Gaaiito (I always heard this line like he says Shota in za Gate) and El Psy Congroo. After that the next scene shows our lab members preparing to go in a trip to America sponsored by Feiris. And after that our lab members are shown in America, and Okarin obviously doesn't know English well so he gets himself arrested (A couple of times, even). Almost every character (except Suzuha, but that's expected if you watched the main series) has their own special moment in this special. Okabe, Kurisu, Mayuri, Ruka, Feiris and even Daru and Moeka (Moeka even blushed for a bit! HNGGGG, my heart). This special is indeed a very strong fanservice to the fans, just without any boobs or ass. What I mean by fanservice is a service with strong plot moments and hilarious comedy. Art & Animation: 9 The art and animation have improved by a whole margin from the main series. Characters are drawn better and the animation looks more fluid than ever, with much less 'QUALITY'. The America scenery is also believable and looks great. Sound: 10 Miyano (Okabe) and Imai (Kurisu) sound much like in the main series, and their voice acting along with all the other characters is top-notch. Hacking to the Gate is used as the ED, and some tracks from main series along with some new additions are present. Character: 10 Okabe - Much like in the main series, he is crazy and lovable. Kurisu- Tsun done right, Dere done even better. Mayuri- Has her moments. Daru- He looked awesome in the Hawaiian shirt. Ruka- Daga Otoko Da. Feiris- Moe. Moeka- Quiet and has her secrets. Suzuha- Wasn't shown in this special, but we get to see a 'look-alike' of her. Mr. Brown and Nae- Not much to say about them. Enjoyment: 10 I have received a very high enjoyment from this special. Everything was in the winning formula, much like the main Steins;Gate series. Overall: 10 This special shows that anime still has a future. Every anime studio should learn from White Fox how to make their anime good. I'll be also writing reviews for: 1.The main Steins;Gate series after I'll finish reading the visual novel. 2.The Steins;Gate movie. 3.The inevitable Robotics;Notes anime adaptation in the future.
I am a huge fan of the Steins;Gate series, but this is a really unnecessary addition which has nothing to say. The OVA trots every character out just long enough to do something in-line with their dominant character trait before trotting them off again. Even the main characters feel underdeveloped, you learn nothing new about them and the build-up to the finale is almost non-existent. The problem is it's about the relationship between Okabe and Kurisu and the main series has already told this story and did it a million times better. All we're left with is the bits we didn't need to see told in thedullest, least imaginative way possible.
Steins;Gate is still one of my favorite series of all time because it makes you cry, laugh and feel something you've never felt before. In the time I finished steins;gate series, I decided to watch this. This OVA is perfect to watch after you finish series, because it's happening just after it all ended. You just get this feeling like:" I missed you all ". I was a bit skeptical about this OVA, but I'm not disappointed, because this made me cry once more. There is no real plot or something interesting so anyone who didn't watch series, don't watch this neither. Characters are still thesame, Okabe is a "mad-scientist" with this charismatic voice and funny acts, Daru is a pervert who still likes Faris, Mayuri is still a lovely girl who cares a lot about her friends and Kurisu is still denying being Okabe's assisstant. I can't explain how much I enjoy listening to the ending song, it just brings so many memories, ESPECIALLY after this flawless end of the OVA that just makes you feel better. (If you have been depressed after you finished series) How can you not enjoy this anime? I simply don't understand. Everything is perfect, characters are just so well made, everyone of them has their personage that makes them special in so many ways. I just want to recommend this anime to everyone who enjoy this genre, because steins;gate will always be the 1# anime for me.
After marathoning the whole TV series I could not resist watching its sequel, this OVA, Oukoubakku no Poriomania (or in English, Egoistic Poriomania) right away - and I was not disappointed at all. It is just as beautiful as its prequel, and I am talking about the final scene. It was not serious, but it would be redundant anyway. Feiris has to go to America and invites her friends - the laboratory members. They visit Kurisu, but she lost her memories about the other world lines, but her life in the other world lines always appears in her dreams. The kiss scene in episode 22also once appeared in her dreams. In the end of this special episode, Kurisu and Okabe are finally together again. I was so happy when I saw that scene. Actually Steins;Gate has not changed here. Okabe is still the mad scientist who gives others odd nicknames, Daru is still perverted, Makise is still a Tsundere, and Mayuri has not changed as well. It is refreshing to see an episode after the whole drama in Steins;Gate where everyone is just happy and it is all about comedy. In this special episode, we also got to know something about Suzuha's mother and Daru's wife, which is pretty good I think. The art and animation has not changed really much, actually it has not changed at all. Of course the animation was not as good as in Steins;Gate, because in certain scenes really good animation is used, which was not the case here. The Seiyuu cast did an amazing job as usual and the background music is awesome as well. The scenes where Okabe is arrested were pretty hilarious, but they did not make really much sense, but I did not mind that too much. Everyone who loves the TV series is practically obliged to watch this OVA. This OVA is just as funny as the TV series and it actually shows the real ending which was beautiful. It is Steins;Gate with Comedy and Romance in foreground and Drama and Sci-Fi in background. It is definitely a refreshing experience.
NNNOOOOOOSSTTTALGIAAAAAAAAAA DRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYBU~ Five months after the original series, this is the best line I could describe my feelings while I'm watching the OVA When I first hear the word OVA, the first thing that comes to my mind is "filler" or pretty much something pointless to the plot and just an episode for enjoyment that is mostly composed of fanservice but instead White Fox gives us a little sequel to the original series, which is AWESOME. This OVA greatly met my expectations, it has almost everything that I enjoyed in the original series. Well first of all is the romance between Okabe and Kurisu then the complete cutenessof Mayuri to the English speaking Okabe that got him caught by the police two times in a row. But of course, there was also suspense, from Okabe running down nowhere thinking he was gonna die to the chasing of a look-alike of Suzuha. Story: 10~ The whole OVA is centered on the whole team leaving for America because of Feyris' invitation but it is actually for the reason behind Kurisu having little dreams or memories from the previous world lines Okabe has gone to. We start with Okabe talking in the phone about the good ol' Organization walking down a road which is a complete mystery. A very Steins;Gate-like start as I would say. After speaking through the phone, he spoke the classical three words, El. Psy. Congroo. It gave me a hell of a nostalgia attack and after that we are shown back in the lab with the lab members leaving for America because of Feyris-tan's invitation and before they left, we are shown with a little moe scene of Moeka, which I liked. Then the story goes on with a lot of very enjoyable moments like Okabe speaking English then getting caught, epic quarrels of him and Kurisu, daga otoko da, Kurisu in a maid outfit, a short scene dedicated to Mayuri's cuteness and some scenes showing Daru's pervertedness. But of course there are moments dedicated to the plot like Kurisu having dreams of the other world lines and Okabe seeing Daru's future wife. And before the OVA ends it left us hanging but it just increases the romance and suspense more ;) Art: 10~ The art is as usual, top-notch. Even thought there were little improvements, the art really contributed a lot to the enjoyment of the show. The moe scenes of Moeka, Mayuri and Kurisu were executed perfectly! The background scenery were also drawn nicely. Like the scenery when they were in America, I really felt a change in places and well, it really looked like America. The simple light effects they showed deserves a special mention. Sound: 10~ The same OST's from the original series were used so it really adds a lot to the nostalgia attack. The OP song Hacking to the Gate was also present which added even more nostalgia~ I had no problems when it was added as an ED, in fact, I even loved it. The voice acting, as usual, outstanding. It was clear, crisp and very fitting with the characters so two thumbs up to that. Character: 10~ The characters were all lovable and felt the same as in the original series. Okabe was at his usual mad scientist self , Mayuri is oozing out moe, Daru is acting at his perverted otaku self, Moeka is still quiet and secretive but also showed a little moe back there and Ruka looking all feminine (daga otoko da). Kurisu on the other hand, felt a little bit serious (especially during some of her conversations with Okabe) but it was probably because of the dreams she has been having. Despite of that, she was still showing her usual tsundere self. Enjoyment: 10~~ Without a doubt, I enjoyed this OVA greatly. Every single second was worth waiting for and every single minute was fun as hell. But this much enjoyment left me craving for more Steins;Gate! Overall: 10~~~ Without hesitation, I gave this a 10. I didn't find a single factor that made me not enjoy this OVA. Everything was perfect in its place. The only flaw I could only think of is the release date of the Steins;Gate movie, IT NEEDS TO BE RELEASED NOW!!! I easily recommend this to everyone who finished the original series. Anyone who hasn't watched this yet is missing out A LOT.
I remember when I finished Steins;Gate. I was left yearning for more, that last speck of satisfaction and glowing epicness that just made me.....feel perfect. But knowing that Steins;Gate was so epic, I didn't want it to go on, simply because sequels usually, quite frankly, suck. But then again, this wasn't a Hollywood movie; no, that's because it was so much more. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you: Steins;Gate, tying up loose ends. As usual, the story is stellar. Told perfectly and fluidly, it never misses a beat and keeps up its slightly fast-paced, yet humorous plot points. The entire time, I had a grinfrom ear to ear; if there wasn't comedy, there were several points of abrupt seriousness that left one with a sense of accomplishment. I couldn't soak in enough Okarin Kirusu and Mayushi in one episode. Oh, and the ending, how bittersweet, how lovely. This episode special covers when Okarin and the gang visit Feyris-chan and the Lab Assistant in America. This is most likely several days, if not weeks past the last episode of Steins;Gate. The story starts off hilarious and comes off as one of those non-serious, moe-blob sort of pointless circular plots we're all used to. However, it quickly drops a note or two as the characters interact and become more acquainted with one another. As usual, the art was fantastic. I loved the way light was used in this episode; the twilight-dusk sort of vague lighting made the characters seem surreal and stark in contrast to the environment; the bright colors during the day reflect the happy undertone. Also, facial expressions. Never before (except maybe in Code Geass) have I seen such wonderfully accurate facial expressions. When a character gets mad, he gets MAD. Not just in the body language or action itself, but the facial muscles are drawn with alacrity and perfection. I loved watching Okarin and the Assistant's back-and-forth, especially their facial expressions. And the OP song. OH YES, I LOVE THAT SONG. I don't even speak Japanese, but I think I know every lyric (albeit badly pronounced) to that whole song. The theme song is so relevant and perfectly fitting for the mood, it absolutely made sense to bring it back from the first season instead of making up a new song entirely. The music was great; so were the sound effects. I could almost feel myself there during key moments, and as usual, the Mad Scientist's voice acting was superb - able to go from sarcastically joking to dead serious in a matter of seconds. I don't think I found anything wrong with this. My opinion may be skewed because of the fact that I love Steins;Gate so much, but that's what made this so enjoyable. And, like stated before, sequels usually kill that good taste in your mouth. Usually sequels are like sour lemons after a piece of chocolate: ruins your taste buds, doesn't it? Instead, Steins;Gate: Oukoubakko no Poriomania becomes that chocolate cake after an already chocolately cake. Mixed with Dr. Pepper of course.
Let's get one thing straight here, this extra episode does not "tie up loose ends." It's simply an episode premiering Suzuha's mom, and reinforcing that yes, now Okabe and Makise are "together" again. Other than that, it is just a comedic relief episode, with almost no real content in it. It's not terrible by any means really, if you liked the series then yes, you will like this added episode, but this was not even close to needed. Like I mentioned, there's almost no real content in here, and really no plot. They get to go to America, there's a couple funny scenes, we get tomeet Daru's wife, and then there's a romance scene. That's it. The art, music, and voices are the same, so there's not much to comment on there. If you want to watch an episode of Steins;Gate that isn't totally serious and drama ridden, then I'm sure you'll like this. It's just a light hearted little extra for people who like a side of romance, so I give it about a 5.
Personally, I started watching Steins;Gate because of its plot which involves time travel time paradoxes, and etc. The problem with this special episode is that it contains little to no "essence" of what Steins;Gate really was all about. Story: 6 Again the story had nothing to do with the whole Steins;Gate. It focused too much on the romance with little Sci-Fi. The plot consists of Feyris inviting them to L.A. There Hououin Kyouma starts acting like himself thus creating funny and stupid situations. Okabe also wants to come to closure with Makise. The rest of the plot is romance. Art: 8 I bought the blu-ray edition for this soobviously I expected a great art and scenery. Sound: 8 Same I also expected it. Character: 6 (SPOILER) It mostly focused on Makise and Okabe which is to no surprise. I was not expecting much character development because in the original series itself it had very little. This focused more on the romantic side of the characters even hints to showing the mother of Amane. The episode never showed the traits they were all know for aside of Okabe. Makise the genius, Hashida the super hacker, Mayuri the optimistic friend. Overall: 7 Personally I don't like when Anime try to tie loose ends. It takes away the mystery and excitement. I had Steins;Gate at 9 but after this I updated it to 8. I still need to watch the movie though. I really don't want another romantic-comedy type situation. Anyways, I hope my review was helpful and thanks for taking your time and reading.
Oh the memories that this brings back... [review doesn't have spoilers] I remember watching Steins;Gate due to a friend's recommendation. I didn't really expect much; it was science fiction. In my head, science fiction solely revolved around giant mechas and melodramatic teenagers with daddy problems. Surprisingly, I got into it, and I caught up to the 22 episodes in a day. Then the last two episodes aired. The feeling while watching it on-going is completely different than marathoning through it. For me, it was one week of constant trepidation; I was expecting the worst [probably slightly exaggerated]. Then it was followed by a week of being ridiculouslypumped up; I vividly remember speculating on the finale with a friend, those were some really great memories. When the finale came; it left me satisfied, yet longing for more. I finished the series on a high-note, was essentially elated. Given that, I didn't expect this OVA to rival the series, it's bonus material after all. Yet, I'm surprised to say, it delivered. Rather than a generic fan-service OVA that adds nothing to the overall scheme of things, this was an added sequel; I'm perplexed at how well they executed it. It not only contained further clarification on the events surrounding Steins;Gate, but it also managed to accentuate the same atmosphere, the same interactions that made Steins;Gate so great to begin with. I came in expecting a decent watch, yet I left amazed with a memorable watch. But how exactly did the OVA end? The series itself ended on a satisfying, yet open ending. It just wasn't an obvious "happy ending", it was more bittersweet than anything. This OVA astounds me in the fact that it induced the same feeling. It doesn't present to you an explicit happy ending, it does insinuate it to such a degree that it's almost blatant though. This being said, I was slightly disappointed when the credits began to roll, I was sure that it would shift to the episode at any second, I was convinced that it was a false ED. Unfortunately, nothing more came. Regardless of the ending, I'm still ridiculously happy after this watch. What leaves me speechless is that I came in feeling as elated as I did when Steins;Gate ended, yet I'm leaving with the exact same feeling. It's an unexplainable sensation. Just sheer happiness. There's an upcoming movie. Its predecessors both excelled at presenting the story, I can only hope that the movie does the same.
This was a fun watch but unfortunately it isn't canon. As an OVA, it's nothing too crazy but gives decent closure to the series. I think Steins;Gate's strongest aspect is it's characters. You get a decent dose of them in this series. Make sure to watch steinsgate 0 before this and the movie. Steinsgate is more depressing than it seems but it truly is one of the best stories in anime. The watch order is skewed so i'd recommend watch steinsgate all the way, watch divide by zero prequel to steinsgate 0. Then watch episodes 23 and 24 again, then watch the episode 25 OVAthen the movie. 7/10
Eagerly anticipating a sequel after a month having watched Steins;Gate, I was pleasantly blessed with an OVA special. After the fantastic concluding scene of the original series, viewers probably shared my curiosity of: "what happens next?" The OVA certainly isn't something that I can recommend to people who haven't watched the series, as its plot (although considered a side story special) is a short continuation of Steins;Gate's aftermath. But since it carries the title of an OVA episode, it wasn't meant to include the familiar emotionally stressful setting in a 25 minute timespan. Rather, the Future Gadget Lab gets into a few comedic antics whilereuniting with the principal heroine (Makise Kurisu) in America - mild fan service and all. What set Steins;Gate apart from typical OVA specials with a generic and carefree plot are the interactions between its characters. The wonderfully written chemistry between Kurisutina and Okabe is still very much alive, and their on-screen hijinks lead to a touching development during the OVA's climax. Each character is given adequate screen-time, which was also pleasant. Oh, and you briefly meet the Part Time Warrior's mum! Special shout out to the familiar looking taxi driver. The OVA didn't present anything new that wasn't already in Steins;Gate's OST. What did surprise me, however, was the recycling of the original opening theme - how nostalgic! The animations and visually stunning art style haven't changed much since its predecessor. It may look a bit sharper, but that may just be my giddiness from waiting too long! For Steins;Gate fans, this is a must. Heck, you probably wouldn't be checking out its OVA if you weren't a zealous devotee already. If you were desperately awaiting more after the original series, then you won't be disappointed with Oukoubakko no Poriomania, which provided fresh new material to an amazing series. Keep your heads up for the movie! Thanks for your time. I hope you enjoyed my very first review. El. Psy. Congroo.
It's just a special bonus episode, but... ***WARNING: SPOILERS*** anyways. Story: 7/10 Didn't particularly care for the story in this episode but I understand that as a special you can't really have a complicated and deep plot. Art: 9/10 It was great as usual. Sound: 4/10 Yeah... sorry but I cringed a lot at the voice actors' attempts to speak English. It was difficult to take them seriously because it was just... too thick of a Japanese accent. They need to work on their English I guess :PCharacter: 8/10 I found it really cool to see the future mother of Suzuha :D Enjoyment: 6/10 Not a whole lot happened in it, was a little bored aside from a few parts. Overall: 7/10
Steins;Gate: Oukoubakko no Poriomania is exactly what you would expect from an epilogue episode. It picks up sometime after the series ended to show what become of the characters. Because of this it is not particularly watchable if you haven't seen the series but then again it is not intended to be. Most of the entertainment value for this type of show is derives from the pleasure of seeing characters you loved again; even if it is only for 25 minutes. To that effect this OVA succeeds on every level. It is like a reunion with friends. I will conclude by saying, it leaves me withhigh hopes for the movie.
Tutturu...!! This really made my life a lot more comfortable! I really love seeing Okarin, Kurisu and Mayuri all together again I really loved it :') to think of it people that are attached to Steins;Gate really love this OVA! But then I already know that everyone that is attached to Steins;Gate already watch it and I guarantee they felt very comfortable and happier after watching this, and of course wanting to see them more!! I Can't wait for the movie I'm dying to watch it now :') Cheers Overall 10/10 Makise Kurisu :')...
If you are not a fan of Steins;Gate, then you will not enjoy this special episode. But if you are a fan, this is a good conclusion episode. It answered a lot of open questions that the main TV series left us, and gave a better picture of what's going to happen in the world line called Steins;Gate. The episode somehow changed its focus from a mystery science to a love story that conquers time and space. Its completely relaxing and is really a good conclusion to the story.
This Steins;Gate special delivers about as ideally as you would expect from a Steins;Gate special. It looks and feels exactly like you'd expect it to, and it tackles some very relevant plot points. It's like a ribbon that nicely ties in some questions left over from the main series. I'll do a quick breakdown of what it entails: The first half is a bit of comedy and world-setting, very similar to the series itself. The second half, it spends dissecting Kurisu's (and Okabe's) interpretations of their conceptions of the other world lines they experience as well as introducing a character I can't talk about at allwithout spoiling it. This exploration of reality in terms of world lines, memories, and dreams that happens between Kurisu and Okabe is the primary incentive of the special. Their contemplations and interactions are what the special is about. It also ends perfectly, as you'd expect it to. What I didn't like about it is how meshed and rushed it seemed. It went from jokes to Kurisu to a new character, back to Kurisu without a proper change of pace. I don't think it was a time management issue as all plot points were hit thoroughly and efficiently, but it was hard to know what to feel or expect at any given scene. Having said all of that, I still loved it. I think this is as high of a score as I can possibly give something that is 20 minutes. It takes off from one of my favorites anime and builds on top if it spectacularly given the time constraint. It doesn't attempt to handle and rush a deep theme, it just does exactly what it needs to do. It doesn't do too much or not too little. Steins;Gate: Oukoubakko no Poriomania is a perfect 20-minute sequel to a perfect series.
Steins;Gate Episode 25 Review only! (There will be SPOILERS in my review) [REVIEW] This isn't how I usually write my reviews but writing an OVA review using my format was impossible so I'll switch my review format only for this review. When I first watched the 25th episode, I thought it was the official final episode. I never realized the 25th episode was an OVA until someone on the internet told me that the 25th episode was an OVA. At least the OVA was canon, based on what I've read from multiple sources. So..Okabe has entered the Steins;Gate world line where none of the characters died and nowthey live happily ever after. In this OVA episode or Special episode or whatever you want to call it, Okabe and the gang (and by gang, I mean Mayuri, Daru, and Ruka) has been invited by Faris to go to the United States..Where in the States? Los Angeles, of course. They visited America and one of the first things we see is Okabe getting handcuffed/arrested by Airport Security for spouting out jokes about invading and causing chaos in the US. Ridiculous? Ehh, probably. America has free speech you know..Extremely hilarious? Of course. From there on, it's just countless hilarious scenes after another. Also, props to the very first scene where I completely thought that the world is in shambles. Turns out, it was one of Okabe's "mad scientist" delusion. Don't expect any serious stuff here though..This episode is like a treat to show us the viewers what Okabe and the rest of the characters are doing now that SERN ain't a threat no more and everyone one of them is doing a-okay. Few points I want to mention that I found interesting is about the relationship between Okabe and Kurisu and Suzuha's mother. In this world line, Kurisu's feelings for Okabe is ehh...mostly the same but since this is a different world line, her feelings for Okabe is slightly different than the Kurisu in the previous world line. I did say mostly the same right? Kurisu still loves Okabe here. Secondly is Suzuha's mother...Couldn't they have put more effort on her appearance? She looks exactly the same as Suzuha except her hair is pink. Yea, mother and daughter usually looks the same but not exactly the same. Rant aside, it's nice to see Suzuha's mother and I would like to know how she and Daru got together. As far as I know, Daru is a weird geek who has his own 2D harem. Maybe he has a sweet soft side that we know nothing about? ______________________________________________________________ [VERDICT] This is honestly a great wrap-up to the series even though nothing much happened in this episode. It's nice to see all the characters back and alive. If you've finished watching the series then this OVA is a must watch, especially for the big fanboys/fangirls of the main series. Now, I'm just waiting for Steins;Gate Zero.. [Story]: (7.5/10) [Art/Animation]: (9/10) [Sound]: (9/10) [Characters]: (8.8/10) [Personal Enjoyment]: (9/10) [OVERALL]: (9/10)

After watching Steins;Gate , and you need more of it , but you are tired of science and physics and everything happened in the Anime , well Steins;Gate: Oukoubakko no Poriomania is the right place to begin with . this episode is not an unnecessary fan service episode that usually comes out after an anime finishes which has no meaning , it's a small sequel for the anime , it's about Okabe Rintarou and the rest were invited by Faris/Rumiho to the United States to watch her in her Rai-Net battle , but in their way they meet Kurisu and the fun begins ,later Okabe finds someone important and follows that one and the real fun begins here ! Art : the Art was somehow even better than in the anime sound : it was not bad and we could hear the Steins;Gate's OP song "Hacking to the Gate" at the end Character : Okabe , Mayushi and the rest of Lab members are there and that 1 more extra new girl . Enjoyment : no one can not enjoy a great sequel from Steins;Gate
