Atsushi Miyagawa is an 11-year-old boy with the appearance of a fully-grown man. His 17-year-old sister, Atsumi, has the stature of a child! From Atsushi being arrested numerous times as a suspected predator to Atsumi constantly grabbed like a small child more times than she can count, many things go wrong for this curious sibling duo. Atsumi's classmate is even in love with Atsushi, oblivious to his true age! Despite all this, indeed, there is not a single dull moment in the Miyagawa household. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

I honestly like the concept of an elementary school student who looks like a high school student while his sister looks like an elementary school student. The first few episodes were cute, but then it started becoming cliché. I also don't understand how the adults could be so stupid. They notice Atsushi when he interacts with his young female friend but fail to notice that he takes the same route with him? No one tells anyone that he is a big boy? Despite having interesting art and sound, it fell short towards the end. On the plus side, it is a quick watch. Thus whyI am having such a short review this time around.
I'm...I'm just so shocked that people are giving this a 10. This definitely doesn't deserve a 10. Everyone's dishing out perfect scores way too easily. I'm not going to lie, I was intrigued by the concept. At first I thought this series was a romcom or something, but when I realized it was about a brother and sister, I thought I was in for some cute, feel-good anime candy. That's not quite what I got. Don't get me wrong, there's some likable stuff here. Both Atsuhi and Atsumi are likable characters who act their age, and I've got to give props to Atsuhi's voice actor for beingable to perform so well. When the show really wants to try, it'll deliver just what you'd expect. Nothing spectacular, but something kind of cute and quirky if you're into this kind of thing. But then there are the pedophile jokes. Literally every other episode has Atsuhi getting arrested because he's mistaken for a pedophile. You'd think that his parents would take the time to explain things better. You'd think that after the millionth time people would recognize him and leave him alone. Comedic misunderstandings don't work by their very nature since the joke is literally making a character you're supposed to like suffer for something they didn't do, and it's even worse when it's happening to a 10 year old boy. I remember one scene where he comes home and curls up in a corner crying because he's so upset. How do people find this funny? It was extremely unpleasant for me. Fortunately as the show goes along they slowly start laying off that gag, but its presence is still extremely painful. Like a parasite feeding off of what could otherwise be a perfectly decent, cute little show. If that doesn't bother you, by all means give it a watch. Otherwise I say skip it.
This is honestly just one big child molestation joke. But seriously, joke repetition is sometimes funny, but they really rely on that one particular joke here way too much. The shtick that he looks like an adult quickly runs its course, and after a few episodes it just becomes stale and a bit disturbing. Art is mediocre at best and the sound effects are just plain and random, I swear I heard some of them in bad Youtube videos. Also, character voice work is inconsistent and sometimes jarring to listen to. Overall, the only saving grace here is that it is a short anime and youdon't have to spend a lot of time to finish it.
Story: Recorder to Randoseru Do♪ is the first installment of the Recorder to Randoseru series. It follows a young fifth-grade boy named Atsushi Miyagawa. He looks like a full grown man, being 180cm (About 5'10") tall! And then there is his "big" sister, Atsumi Miyagawa, who is 137cm (About 4'5") tall. However, Atsushi acts his true age. 8/10 Art: The art of Recorder to Randoseru Do♪ completely relates to the characters' heights. Since Atsushi looks like an adult, they turned him into a bishounen looking character, who acts his true age. Atsumi looks like a kid, so they turned her into a moe, loli, childish looking character, who acts her true age. 10/10 Sound OST - There isn't really much of an OST in this anime, so I'll leave this blank. Opening - There is no opening, so I'll leave this blank. Ending - It was a quite fun song to listen to, but not a song I would want to have on my MP3 player. Voice Acting - When I first found Recorder to Randoseru Do♪, I thought Atsushi was going to sound his true age. You know what? NOPE! We are going to make him sound like a full grown man! And let's make Atsumi sound like a little kid! The voice acting gave me lots of laughs when seeing them get into trouble. 9/10 Character: Were you ever an elementary school kid who was younger than they looked? You might relate to Atsushi. He's a young boy who looks like a grown man. People often mistook him for a grown man when he truly isn't. Are you a high school teenager who is older than you look? You might relate to Atsumi. She is a teenage girl who looks like a little child. People often mistook her for a young child when she truly isn't. 8/10 Enjoyment: I tried to watch Recorder to Randoseru Do♪ without laughing or grinning, I failed. Really failed. Recorder to Randoseru Do♪ is something that can cheer you up on a bad day. It sure did for me! I guarantee it's going to make you laugh a lot. And I mean a lot. 9/10 Overall I give this a 10/10, which means, THAT WAS THE BEST THING I EVER SAW!!!!!!!!!1!!!!1!!!!!
Recorder is one of the funnyest 3 minute anime i have ever seen. The concept in itself is original but there is of course some cliche ideas tossed out that anyone could come up with off the top of there head. Yes a big running gag is the older looking brother is around any girl his actual age he ends up being hauled off to the cops but its still funny. Just cause the show has some predictability does not mean it is boring or stale. It is so compact and well paced that it is hard to get too much of it. The Voice castis wonderfully cast featuring some of the more popular voice actors of today. The Ending theme is also a sweet little melody i can enjoy as the show wraps up. I did take notice of some unusual sound effects that remind me more of cartoons than anime but i still thought they were enjoyable. The art itself is done very well with some pretty close attention to details in a few areas. On par or better to any full length anime series this series does not fall short on production or casting value. The humor is mildy crude at tune bur is also fairly tame for the possible subject matter. The sister does not provide nearly as much humor as the brother with her air of maturity but she is adorable. This show was made with this balance in mind to give it this odd feel that really boosts the humor. The remaining cast is actually very humerus from the teachers, school mates and even the unemployed next door neighbor. I think if you enjoy laughing or just jokes in general then you will love this show.
This anime had me laughing and it's a great break from all that heavy arc-filled animes. Sure, my favorite animes are definitely the ones with the best storylines that just make you want more. But, this anime didn't falter in making me want to watch it. The art is ok, not too shabby. And the sound is fine. The characters are interesting and I like the idea of having an adult-looking kid, even if it was completely bogus. So, if you're on break or just want to relax, try this anime. Each episode is only about 3 minutes long and you can watch any episodein order. I really enjoyed this.
Story: Recorder to Randoseru Do is a comic anime about Atsushi and Atsumi Miyagawa and their height differences. Atsushi is an 11-year-old fifth grader that has a body of an adult and a deep voice despite his childlike personality, and Atsumi is a 17-year-old high schooler who is super short and looks like a child despite being mature and responsible. It's a hilarious, slice-of-life comedy with silly, random episodes. Art: The animation is decent for a short anime. Nothing too exciting but decent. Sound- It's very cute and cartoony! Character: I like both the siblings. The elementary kids are alright but not interesting in mu opinion. Theonly character I love is Sayo because she's quirky and has a funny taste in tall men, especially to Atsushi. Enjoyment: For a five-minute series, this anime is enjoyable, with the running gags of Atsushi often getting arrested by the police for being mistaken as a pedophile, Futami getting uncomfortable around Atsushi, Sayo and her taste in tall men. Yeah, it's really enjoyable. Overall: This anime might not be as daring and funny as Love Complex but it has its ziny moments. I give it a soild 8.5/10
I love this anime Although Atsushi is only 11 years old he has a hot body. I also love how Take is one of those people who you wont see his face that kinda cracks me up. Though the one thing is that I wish the episodes were a little bit longer.
It revolves around Atsushi Miyagawa and his sister Atsumi Miyagawa. Atsushi resembles an adult at 5.9 feet tall, but is actually an elementary school boy. Atsumi looks like a 4.5 foot tall little girl, but she is actually in high school. That more or less is the synopsis, from that the chapters that only last 3 minutes are based. The anime isn't bad but I can't finish enjoying it because the anime only lasts 2 minutes so just like you started it it's over but well it has 3 seasons so I'll keep watching it. The animation is good, the soundtrack is also good andthe character design is also curious, it is also because of the plot that it is SO BIZARRE but well that is also good.
This is an anime where a little boy Atsushi looks like a grown man. And his 17yr old sister Atsusmi looks like a grade-schooler. So pretty much your typical anime stuff. And of course you have the lolicon jokes. Atsushi is mistaken for a predator because he hangs out with kids. Older girls are crushing on him. All the little girls in his class are also crushing on him. All his classmates just treat him like a normal kid. Its very similar to Cyclops Shoujo Saipuu an anime about a middle school girl who looks 17. Both anime also have really short episodes 2 to 3 minutes. The hijinks are pretty funny.
Recorder to Randoseru Do is what you could call a simpleminded, quickwatch anime. With no real storyline, and no real story and character development, it's something you watch simply to enjoy the humor in it. And as a big fan of 4-koma anime, it did the trick for me, short as it was. It still had the necessary humor, misunderstandings and funny characters to make it quite a fun anime to watch inbetween. The concept is simple, but pretty hilarious. We have an 11-year old boy who looks like an adult, and a 17-year old sister who looks like an elementary schooler. When I read this,I was surprised and intrigued in how they were going to bring out this idea. The answer is simple: Misunderstandings on top of more misunderstandings. The best thing about this is that the characters still act their age, and as for the smaller sister, that's all right. But for an adult-looking elementary schooler, it leads to quite some interesting moments. Every small episode focuses on a particular scene or two, each having one of the main characters in another (awkward) situation. And if you're into that stuff, it's quite enjoyable. After all, with only 2,5 minutes per episode (not counting the ED), there's really nothing to lose either. The art is quite average, but it's not bad. You can't really compare it to actual animes, but for what it's worth, it's good enough. The animation is decent, and strangely enough pretty good at some points, where the art also gets a small boost. The faces can look a teeny bit awkward from time to time, but there are no real flaws. The sound is pretty much the same, just your average set of BGM music, with the exclusion of an OP, but including a (short) ED. As for the characters, we have the main two, Atsushi (brother) and Atsumi (sister), and for side characters, we've got a trio of elementary schoolers (2 boys and a girl), a high schooler who's Atsumi's best friend, and some adult side characters, including an unemployed neighbor. The casting isn't that big, but for a 3-min anime, it's more than enough to work with. All the characters are pretty flat, as in they don't really develop over time other than the two main characters. Nevertheless, they're fun and interesting, which for most is enough to work with. In conclusion, like I said before, this is an anime you should watch inbetween animes. When you're bored of your regular anime, and just want something to switch gears a little. An entire season of this only lasts about 1,5 episode of an actual anime, so there's no real reason not to watch the entire thing. It doesn't feel rushed either, as each episode feels more or less like a scene from the 4-koma manga (compared to Mangirl, which tends to make me feel like I'm on a sugar high). It's quick, fun, and easy to follow. Just the whole concept is interesting enough to give at least one episode a try, even if it's something you're normally not into. "A Slice of Life anime with a fun little twist" is probably the best way to summarize it, and even if it's just for the whole idea itself, just give it a go. It's the best way to take a break from all the serious stuff, and just relax a bit. It did the trick for me, so perhaps it'll be a nice breather for you as well.
Usually, I do not watch these 3-4 minute shows, but this one caught my eye. The premise is really interesting; an 11-year-old boy in a huge boy and his elder sister in a rather small body. We manage to take a small peek into their daily lives and see how different they are from ours. Funilly enough, not too much. The story holds itself pretty well and I rarely feel like the hunk of a man that I'm watching isn't 11 years old. If this was a 24-minute anime it wouldn't nearly be as good or would even work imo The art and animation is very good. There aren't many still frames and the animation is quite good. Though, I wish they gave Atsushi slightly wider selection of clothes :V The VA and music are very good as well. The VA's really did a good job portraying the siblings. Characters are quite interesting. The young "man" is acting as most kids his age act which is refreshing to see. The side characters are the real hit in my opinion. They add extra depth to the show that really needs it. They're very good at it as well. I very much enjoyed this short anime and seriously do not understand such a low score. For a 3 minute anime it's very good and not just "lol random xD". You can get through the entire first season in more less half an hour.
