Ikuto Touhohin just had a fight with his old man, one that led him to make a rash decision to run away from home. He boards a ship, deciding to take a vacation, but the ship is suddenly hit by a huge storm—one that sends Ikuto overboard! When he regains consciousness, he realizes he is still alive on some island. An isolated island. An isolated island with nothing but girls. Beautiful girls. Stranded on an island with only girls, no electricity, gas, radio, television, like he was back in the stone age. (Source: AniDB)

The purpose of this whacky romantic comedy is portraying every straight guy's fantasy. Ikuto is a teenage boy who happened to get stranded on an island paradise but that's not the whole of it as this strange island is inhabited with girls, all desperate for a man. This provides the setting of the ideal harem, romantic, comedy because nothing really has to make sense. From the very beginning Ikuto has his pick of any of the gorgeous girls and no matter how cute or crazy for him they are, it is inevitable that he will end up with ****. To my knowledge, only two harem Rom/Comshave been able to produce an unpredictable outcome, full of speculation: "Shuffle (anime)" and "Ichigo 100% (manga)". Nagasarete Airantou is just one of the tonnes of predictable harems being churned out. The other girls are barely a part of the story and only appear for comic relief. After first couple of episodes the story doesn't really develop at all with only minor romantic developments throughout. This really isn't a bad thing as the comedy is hilarious throughout the series. On the other hand there's one joke that gets old fast and it's the overuse of the classic ecchi = nosebleed one that will make you wonder; shouldn't Ikuto be dead yet from severe blood loss? Like most of the guys watching this anime, I'm always thinking that he should just plug up his nose and wash Suzu's back once in a while XD. The animation quality is pretty decent for a romantic comedy, with plenty of rich colours to suit the "island paradise" concept. The characters are decently designed, without having bodies out of proportion, but a lot of the character looks do make you question their age or maybe the animators just have a Lolita-complex. The music is catchy but extremely repetitive and it easily gets boring after a couple episodes. Overall this is another one of those enjoyable romantic comedies that you don't watch for the romantic developments but for the stupid comedy and pointless mini stories. There's really no development at all during most of the show which is why it can get boring after a while however the comedy and cheesy moments do help pick it up all the time, until the inevitable end. So comedy fans should check this out. ^_^
A boy runs away from home, falls off a ship, and washes ashore an island filled with females. It sounds like a guy's fantasy, but Nagasarete Airantou is much more than that. Story For the genre, Nagasarete Airantou is a slice-of-life that combines comedy, some drama, some romance, and bits of ecchi. Airantou, the island that the protagonist Ikuto washes up on, is not a normal island. The village, including the people's clothing and lifestyle, are based on rural Japan. But before that, Airantou is an island where whirlpools prevent anyone from leaving, a mountaintop collects snow in the middle of summer, forests are inhabited by bizarre-looking animalsand carnivorous plants and fungi, humans and animals talk to eachother, and a once-every-hundred-years tsunami washes away all the men in the village during a fishing contest. It's practically another world for Ikuto, who is from modern-day Japan, and that does an excellent job in driving the story forward. With each episode, you get to know Airantou better, as Ikuto himself adapts to a totally new lifestyle. The story's not as deep and compelling as a full-fledged action or drama, but for a comedy/slice-of-life, the setting definitely adds some spice. Characters There's a variety of characters on Airantou, including Ikuto, -the only boy in the cast- a whole slew of girls, -as expected of a harem- and -something more or less new to harems- talking animals. Ikuto may not seem like much, but he is actually an admirable character. The two most notable things about him would be that he refuses to believe anything is impossible, and that his squeamish self suffers a nosebleed in pretty much every ecchi moment.(That doesn't count as an admirable quality) The girls come in distinct personalities, ranging from the innocently cute Suzu to the sadistic voodoo-user Machi. As for the talking animals, they're often just supporting characters, and you won't even hear them talk until Ikuto learns to speak to them. But you can't forget about them; at one point, you will find that a few of them will play a huge role in the show.(side note: there are actually male animals) Art Leaning towards the cartoony side, the art style might not suit your tastes, but it's done really well, from the character designs to the backgrounds. Best of all, it somehow feels like it matches the nature of the show. Music The BGM is also a bit on the cartoony side, but just like the art, it goes very well with the show. But you are definitely more likely to enjoy the opening theme, a wonderful song performed by voice actress Horie Yui, who also sings the two ending themes and voices Suzu, the lead female character. Both fans of Horie Yui and those who never heard her should check them out. Enjoyment Nagasarete Airantou is definitely a comedy. In the first few episodes, just as you and Ikuto are getting used to the island and the village, Airantou will throw out a couple surprises and the characters will pull off some crazy actions, and it will keep on going throughout the whole series! There are very few episodes that you might think as far-fetched, but they're still funny, and may well be the episodes at which you laugh the hardest. Overall If there is one point I want to re-state, it would be the one I started with: Nagasarete Airantou is much more than just a guy's fantasy. Having said that, I'll close this review with one last opinion: I wouldn't mind living on Airantou. (even if the men came back, mind you)
What do you get when you combine a teenage guy with an island full of young women (except for one) and creatures that look like pokemon? You get Nagasarete Airantou, an extremely hilarious show. To show you just how much I'm impressed with this anime I'll tell you this - if the island of Airantou was real, I'd swim across all the oceans of the world to get to it... or I'd die trying. Yes ladies and gents, Airantou is a paradise like no other. However, before I describe the epic scenery of that island let me start with the story. It's very banal, infact anyone with half a brain could come up with it. We have a teenage dude Ikuto, who one day has an argument with his father and decides to run away from home. He boards a ship which cruises around the Pacific. One day however there's a terrible storm and our hero is thrown overboard and the ship's staff doesn't really do much to save him. The following day Ikuto is fished out (literally) of the water by an exotic girl and finds himself stranded on an isolated island (escape is not possible) in the middle of the pacific. Much to his suprise, he finds out that the island is only populated by women. Young women. So it's just an another average boring Harem anime, right? No. The girls on the island are not your average boring harem girls who just stand there waiting to be scooped up by the male lead and Ikuto is not an average teenage guy who'd take every oportunity around him so you can pretty much see who's chasing who in this anime. Also the island of Airantou is not exacly normal... not only does it have a huge ass mount everest in the middle but there are also "pokemon" living on it. From weird and exotic creatures that glow at night (and I'm not talking about fireflies) to huge dragons capable of creating whirpools. Hence, I'm calling them pokemon. Anyway, Ikuto soon finds out that being the only male on the island is not easy as most of the girls never had any contact with a boy before however they're eager to experiment (hmmmmmm). And so the wacky adventures of our hero start. In order to get use to the way of living on the island, Ikuto must go through a lot of challenges and every episode is filled with "WTF did I just watch" moments which never make the viewer bored. Nagasarete Airantou consists of only 26 episodes though. I say only because this anime has such a good and strong plot that it could have been at least twice as long. This anime has a lot if innovative ideas and there are no loopholes in it. Everything's thoroughly explained as the story progresses, inculding the reason why the island is only populated by women (and why the hell there are pokemon living on it). The art is very good and high quality imho. Whoever came up with the idea of Airantou is a genius. The island is beautiful, huge mountain in the middle with lush forests around it and then we have vast grasslands on the outskirts which go all the way around the island. It's as if you took Honshu and pulled it on itself, making it into a circle. Not sure why but I think that explanation sucks... anway, the scenery is breathtaking and the island's tropical weather makes it even better. My hats off to the studio who did a fantastic job. The sound is very good although it's not anything special. Standard comedy tunes and there's some serious music too (usually for serious moments, though there aren't many of those in this anime). The music is perhaps the weakest aspect of Nagasarete Airantou, but who cares anyway? The story and art makes up for it tenfold! The characters are amazing and they all have an interesting story to tell. Let me see, we have a sourcerer, a ninja, a carpenter, a psychotic genius (all of those are girls btw) we have a girl who's mother looks younger than her and... many many more! Phew, it's a crazy mix for sure and that's also what makes Airantou special. All the girls have depth and their lines are not limited to "Hi" and "goodbye" as in most Harem animes. Again, my hats off to the studio and the author for making the characters so entertaining. All in all, Airantou is an island where crazy adventures never cease. Be it Ikuto being chased by a horde of curious girls to awesome ninja like fights between giant tigers and pandas. The series never ceases to amaze you, there's always some kind of a crazy twist waiting behind the corner. Also the ending itself is a one huge twist but at the same time it perfectly completes the anime. It's what I like to call "explanatory twist". Now, if you've read this far then that means you're either interested in watching this anime... or you just like my sarcastic way of describing things. Whatever the reason, I strongly encourage you to take a look at this anime, shows like this should not be missed and Nagasarete Airantou is a true gem. It deserves a full score and it gets a full score from me.
Nagasarete Airantou is in many ways a great anime. It's a harem anime down to its very core, but don't let that chase you away. The comedy in it is fantastic, the girls are very cute, and the romance in it is decent. Now that the complement's are out of the way.... Nagasarete as an anime suffers from the same problems as any other harem anime: it really feels like once you've seen one harem anime, you've seen them all, and this one is no exception. Just like any other harem, there's one male lead, and batches and batches of women who adore the male lead. The male lead is quiet and reserved, gets greatly embarrassed whenever any ecchi things happen, and he gets very protective whenever any of the many ladies are in danger. It doesn't really add any new spices to the same old recipe, leaving me with a lukewarm feeling after having watched it all. Though I hate to admit it, despite its lack of originality, I still enjoy watching this type of anime. Stuff like Seto no Hanayome, To Love Ru, or even Two Heart 2 are great animes in my eyes. I genuinely find the comedy to be quite enjoyable, and I do like the ecchi. Sadly, I'm not sure how many more of these I can sit through. The episodes really start to drag on after episodes and episodes of harem plot, and this anime in particular seems to recycle jokes far too often. Events in these animes just seem to blur together and upon completion it's near impossible to remember everything that happened unless you took notes. However, nobody can deny that this anime is funny and that the ecchi is very good at times. I particularly like the relaxed, floaty mood that this harem has. From start to almost the end, the anime never tries to be serious, and spends twenty minutes just trying to tell short fun stories and crack jokes. It's not like Death Note which requires lots of thinking to truly enjoy, nor is it like Code Geass which will get you emotionally involved. It's just a harem anime, which I can watch, enjoy, and if I'm feeling up for it, wank afterwards. There is one more problem I experience with the harems, and that is their endings. Harem endings are quite often dark and very serious, and exist to create drama in the last few episodes, which was absent from the last twenty-ish episodes. The ending is completely different from the rest of the show, and it feels out of place. It disgraces the mood the previous episodes had maintained and basically makes them feel like they were a waste of time just keeping the viewers from reaching the ending. Some people like these endings, but I don't. If the anime wanted to end dramatically and with a serious tragic tone, why wasn't the entire anime like this? Why only the last half hour? In these endings, it's also quite typical that the cast starts acting completely out of character, and quite often plots are inconsistent and full of holes. Is it worth it just to have a dramatic ending? I don't think so. I refuse to let an anime's ending ruin it for me, so ignoring the ending, I felt this anime was quite good and worth a watch, especially if you like harem animes. However, don't expect anything innovative to blow you away.
I loved it. Watch it. Re-watch it. Re-watch it again. When I first saw this show, I knew that I would love it. It was one of those "love at first episode" things. Story was great. Guy falls off a ship running away from home, floats to an island populated completely by cute girls, they all fall in love with him, every guys dream. NOPE. Not Ikuto's. The entire show he wants to get off the island, but guess what? It's impossible to leave, so it looks like he's stuck there for life. Let me tell you, if all I had to give up was Electricity,Plumbing, TV, Phones, Videogames, and Store Bought Products to live on that island, I'd be over there in a heartbeat. Art was great. I liked the way the characters were portrayed, I liked the scenery of the island and it's multi-climates, it was all great. Voice actors did a great job, in fact it'll be interesting to see how this show will fair if the english dubbed version is ever made, because it'll be hard to beat the great voice acting of all the people in this show. Characters, I love them all. They're all funny, lovable and unique in their own way, they're all great. Enjoyment, 10/10. There wasn't one episode I wouldn't be willing to watch again. Overall one of my favorite animes I've ever seen. In my top 20. Watch it. Re-watch it. Re-watch it again, and again, and again.
Nagasarete Airantou (2007) Most people can only dream to be stuck on an island that has the capability to support you and your new-found island harem that is protected by freak weather and therefore remains uncharted. We have Ikuto a young man who runs away from home to seek a new life. Initially, he realises his mistake due to leaving his sister behind whom he cares about very much. He is somewhat hesitant about being on the island of dreams but is swayed over time. Suzu the other main is a girl who's parents suffered a fate together along with all the men on the islandthat Ikutos sister eventually uncovers as her fate later on. The show is old but the art is still great. 2007 released this wacky romantic comedy that is excellent to watch. Characters are wide and varied. Suzu is a stereotype for a dream housewife who is extremely capable in all jobs as a handy worker. Rin who is a carpenter that makes wacky designs and also has a great wife mentality. Ayane who is always getting into trouble with bad luck. Machi best girl Ayane sister who is into dark arts and is the oldest of the young that wants a husband. Shinobu a girl dreaming to be a samurai that has no sense of direction. Mei Mei an extremely shy girl that also lost her way. Yukino the youngest of the girls who is sweet and as crazy as the rest. There are many more girls that are main supporting characters and then the rest of the girls on the island. The characters are all filling character archetypes and it is done very well. The show itself is very enjoyable from the talking animals to the crazy vegetation. Nagasarete Airantou has a lot going for it that makes it worth watching. I would recommend the show absolutely.
Nagasarete Airantou is by far one of the best romance drama's ive ever seen. it starts off with a boy that runs away from home. he gets on a boat and gets thrown overboard... know what the people on deck do... throw him a life preserver and hope he lives. He later gets "caught" onto an island full of girls. without saying to much about the rest you can sorta see some of the things that will come but you'll never expect somethings likes the "guardians of the island" and the strongest out of all of them is well yeah >.> something "scary". The ending sortaleaves you hanging(you'll know what i mean when you get there) and wanting more and causing you to run around your apartment complex like it did me but hay, that sort of thing only comes if you really enjoyed it am i right. the characters each have of their own personalities and most of them end up having their hormones kicking in. i highly recommend this anime for all comedy, romance, harem, and maybe even drama lovers as a last last thing you wanna watch. if you watch this first you'll end up like me and not liking what you watch next and will be in a state of depression(yes it was that good... nothing will ever come close to it for me expect maybe video game romances >.>).
Any man's dream - except maybe this one's. In regards to the episodic portion of "N.A.", it can be best characterized as a bitter-sweet sandwich: The bread surrounding the (insert lunch meat here) is insanely good; buttery, slightly toasted - not raw, but not too crunchy, and delicious. The inside is the letdown: whichever typical sandwich meat you chose, take that, and try eating it a month passed its expiration date. No. Thank. You. Sir. Even though the story may sound unoriginal, "Oh, no one's ever thought of THAT before," because, truly, everyone has at one point. However, the creators attempt to differentiate from the typical "cast-away"feeling. They attempt to convey a sense of a "home away from home that's other-worldly." They might do this through the abnormally-sized produce (and other things... *for high-brow's only*), talking birds, cats, lions, chickens, etc., and the people that dwell there. But what really makes this show unique is the latter, the people. 8/10. The art style had a very "island paradise" feeling to it. Every color seemed to pop out at you because it was so very richly colored. The characters were drawn exceptionally well; just thinking of the way they drew Suzu (the heroine) makes me smile. All of her mannerisms are portrayed through her character so exquisitely well, that you really get a sense for the character's personality. Now, this is one of the few romance animes that I've seen be able to capture this skill that is seldom seen in a publicly-classified, silly genre. 10/10. I liked the sound; it got much better as the show went on. As, obviously, it will become more dramatic and that will push the voice actors to do a better and better job to keep pace with the growing drama unfolding within the story, between characters, or in some other aspect. 7/10. Loved, loved, loved each character in the series. I didn't feel like each was underrepresented in any way whatsoever, the proper characters were compensated with the right amount of screen time, and it's fun as hell watching very contrasting personalities clash over one man. Sometimes, you might see a bit of repetitiveness in the actions of the characters, but each is so well done that it becomes an afterthought. One of the problems that I thought was a hindrance to the show was the fact that they got almost TOO MANY characters with TOO MANY personalities that it might have been helpful to keep a list of names, accompanied by a physical description of each character. 9/10. My enjoyment really hinged on how many episodes there were. Usually, this kind of storyline, with these kind of characters, can get boring fast. And it did. Ere go my simile of this show being like an "okay" sandwich. To me, they could have got MORE done in LESS episodes. Although, this is essentially a series filled with filler episodes, the episodes in the middle are borderline terrible. I was just watching some and I was thinking about something else completely irrelevant to the show; it was so boring. Thankfully, the earlier episodes and the episodes later in the series, hand-in-hand, saved the show. 7/10. Personally, this series could have been 12-episodes-long. Easily. In the grand scheme of things, I wished they treated the VERY present harem/romance aspect more seriously. I know it's a comedy, but like most good comedies, they become more drama-filled as they reach the conclusion. And "N.A." followed that to a "T". Although it's obvious that he ends up with ____. I still wished they could've had them be more upfront about each others' very, very obvious feelings for each other. Why not just say it? That was, granted, a very small detail, but it left the exclamation point off, what would have, pushed this show over-the-top and made all the bad episodes that left a bitter taste in my mouth seem worth it. (Although seeing ____ get jealous of the other characters fawning over Ikuto later in the series, provides that in some need somewhat, it still isn't as gratifying as the real thing.) 7/10. BONUS THOUGHTS! I haven't watched "Clannad" yet, but what I've read around these forums, seen that there is a sequel, and that the main hero chooses a girl after befriending many, seems like a path this show should have taken. A good, solid, preliminary story that sets-up the guy with a potential for "x-number" of girls, chooses one, and moves into a nice sequel to pleasantly wrap-it-up for all the viewers. Hence the immaculate reception of "Clannad ~Afterstory~". Too late now, I guess. Feedback is appreciated! Thank you!
Ok as an introduction this is a typical ecchi show, a boy around a bunch of girls you may know what can happen here xD as one of my fist ecchis got a really good time with this one. however if you have seen a lot of shows in this category you will find it kind of boring. story: 7/10 a boy that get lost in an island full of girls that is basically the whole story. anyways is kind of stereotypical characters exept that there is not a pervert man :/ so basically the story is pretty common nothing extraordinary but still fairly good if you count specificalsituations. Art: 10/10 Cute art fits the anime, nothing to complain here is the jack of all trades of anime art here xD Sound: 8/10 again nothing out of the ordinary, the music made its purpose but didnt left a mark. characters: 9/10 good, again, maybe a little bit stereotipical but still funny characters that fullfilled their role pretty well. enjoyment: 10/10 i really laughted a lot on this one as one of my fist series in this genre. they have pretty funny parodies and fanservice. ^^ overall: 8/10 faily good, i totaly recomend it if you are not familiar with the genre and if you are it still has the potential to make you laugh :P
Upon reading the sypnosis, you might think that this is an anime that consists only of a perverted guy chasing beautiful girls. It's actually the other way round - the girls are the ones chasing him. I first started watching this out of boredom and almost wanted to drop it due to earlier reviews stating that this was a great anime to watch if you had nothing else to do, but I just kept watching till the end, and turns out it was quite a fun anime, worth spending time to watch. Though it may not have much of a plot and can be quite random,it's still, as said before, VERY fun to watch XD There's no other word to describe it! The art was great. The girls are beautifully drawn and no details are overlooked. The opening and ending songs were really catchy. They make you happy =] The seiyuu for all the characters really fit them. All the characters are well-developed and most of them are very interesting to watch. You don't really hate or love them, but you get a blast just watching them do their own stuff. I really enjoyed watching this anime and even though the romance wasn't really followed through till the end, it was still cool watching those two share such sweet moments x] Overall, it was really, really good. If you like light-hearted anime with lots of fun in it, watch this! These are my last words: Remember to watch TILL THE END! Don't just go off at the ending song!
During a huge storm Ikuto falls overboard and is swept away. When he regains consciousness he finds himself on an isolated forgotten island. When he meets the locals he learns that it is impossible to get off this island easily and that this island is only inhabited by females due to some tragic accident. Being the only male around soon the young ladies start to fight over young Ikuto so much that it’s already scary. Nagasarete Airantou is obviously a harem show featuring rather young characters, but the settings of this story have a lot of logical inconsistencies. However, this show wasn’t meant to make senseanyway, so if you just accept the settings how they are, you will see some nice harem comedy, while even though there are a lot of love candidates, you will know who is going to win in the end right from the start. Overall 7/10
I rarely care to go into detail for reviews however this one needs it this anime while not the worst was a cash grab trying to get on a hype train of harem anime back then it failed to do the manga justice in most manners character portrayals were altered or muddy at best they skipped large portions the the manga (that I think are needed to properly enjoy and understand where and what is going on) this is a very sad attempt at a very amazing manga if you want real details and to know what you missed check it out even asI write this I rather sure the author is still making 2024
The dream of most men is realized in this anime, as the wish of being stranded on an island full of women is granted to Ikuto Tohoin, who was running away from his mean father, who put him down after everything he did. After that, he begins to live with a girls named Suzu, who seems to be the only girl on the island with neutral feelings towards him. What's very interesting (well at least to me) is that this guy gets nothing, and there is not a hint of ecchi in here! Weird huh? Anyways, the series is pretty long, with those small short stories sprinkledthroughout the episodes, which provide insight into the secondary characters' backgrounds. Last but not least, this anime had nothing speacial, but the comedy held my attention for some time. 8/10 SERIOUSLY, how is this not an ecchi!?
I really like this anime, it's a super cute romance one, none of that mushy-gooey love, it's the one that is just. . . . cute! The plot is really cute. The art is really good and the characters are all well developed and very funny. This anime is super good, I defiantly recommend it!
I will try to keep it short. Airantou was literally my first ever anime to watch in Japanese with English subs. I had watched previously dubs of some popular anime but Airantou was the anime that introduced me to the anime world. It is also the series that created my never ending love for harem. So for people who are new to anime, Airantou will be a good deal of enjoyment ...well only if you watch anime for enjoyment. For people loving dark fantasy and thrillers, this is not for you. Well for veteran watchers ...you will find it as cliche as it can get. I realisedit after I watched tons of other harem series. But you could always watch it if you have nothing else to do. It has it's fair bit of comedy and some quirky characters that were not cliche during it's time. That's it for the review....Thanks....No, wait. I forgot to mention what this series is all about. Okay....here it goes.. Some random dude is shipwrecked and washed ashore an island called Airantou inhabited by only females after loosing continuously to his father in ken-do. Seriously ...that's it...well we do get to know why the island is only inhabited by females...but that is the least of concern. And a final warning.....people who don't like nosebleeds, well ....you are going to get a ton from the MC. I mean seriosly... a ton
The ending was just terrible. like what was the whole point of it, all that emotional build up just for that?? The characters were for the most part pretty bland. The only girl i actually cared about was Suzu as she actually cared about the MC and his feelings. Everybody else just cared about themselves. Some episodes are entirely skippable as they didn't add to the story. Like around halfway through the anime it felt like they gave up. Mostly because the plot dropped off dramatically, like the whole spa episode you could skip along with others. The MC at least wasn't all thatpathetic and weak, like he actually started training when he saw himself as weak. Overall the series as a whole was pretty average but still enjoyable if you've never seen it before. 6/10.
Nagasarete Airantou has to be one of the most cliche and unique animes in existence. Cliche in the fact that its a typical harem rom/com with one guy and three bajillion women. Unique in the fact that there are chibi (sometimes bishounen) talking animals, carnivorous plants, and a high element of martial arts and moral pride in some episodes. Story: Pretty typical with a twist. A guy gets a whole bunch of women after him, but its done so in a weird way. He gets stranded on an island where the only males are animals. I haven't seen this kind of harem yet so, it scores slightlyaverage in story. Art: The animation is a bit bad, but the artwork of the island and the characters is pretty impressive. Manages to earn a slightly above average. Sound: The sound is very cheery in comedy scenes and serious in dramatic scenes. Its good but nowhere near animes with great soundtracks like say, FLCL. Slightly above average too. Character: The characters vary wildly from cliche to unique. There's the standard squeamish male protagonist, Ikuto (although they twisted it to make him react with superhuman ability to things thought to be 'impossible'). There's the standard innocently cute female lead, Suzu. Then there's the characters that are very rare in the anime universe, like say an android chick with big guns who owns a hot springs resort that is haunted by a science-addict's mom (Seriously, wtf? >.>). I also personally love the sadistic voodoo-using priestess, Machi. Enjoyment: VERY enjoyable. It has great comedic moments and few parts where you want to slap yourself at how incredibly corny/cheesy it was. Adding a bit of action was a good thing (swordfighting is AWESOME). And I have yet to see an anime where someone gets Falcon Punched in the balls by a talking turtle. Fun to watch! I suggest you go watch it now.
when it boild down to it this show is a harme romantic comedy, it is almost everything i hate about anime, the only thing worse then all the things in this show is when i ended up loving the show, the comedy is actualy very funny and leads to many original set peices since the island the charecters are on, is completly new and crazy, its fun crazy, original and just fun to watch, i do need to give props to the romance though seeing how the main one between ikuto and suzu is much more well handled then any other harem ive seen, for one theydont fall head over heels for eachother at first sight, ide say romance doesnt start till around episode 10ish giving the two time to develope towards eachother, the only con about the romance is theres no conclusion to it but i can forgive it cause theres no love triangle in sight at least a serious one, plus it also leads to the chance of a second season when i say theres no serious love triangle i mean that every girl wants to marry ikuto just becouse hes the only guy to ever come to the island in recent times, most of the girls just trying to get with him in comical moments but they never actualy get serious with him aside from a couple scenes with a girl namd rin in one episode but its only there to make suzu relise that she does hold feeling or ikuto and its never really brought up again past that, also they dont have the romance overblown or one sided, it never takes up a full episode and you can tell both charecters do like eachother the comedy is pretty funny and original, i wotn spoil how crazy the show gets cause that was a part of the fun about the show, but its is very funny but it takes some time for it to get funny, it spends some ime establishing how the island works before the jokes really start rollng in but its still entertaining before it starts getting funny the charecter arent devleoped aside form the imense amount of development ikuto and suzu get but everyone else is there really only for comical effect, but its not like none of them arent likable, all the girls are likable int heir own comedical right with the exception of rin who is kinda just, well there, not bad but not the best and before i finish i must state i despise echhi, but this show isnt neccicarily classy with it, it never gets ridiculous with it, no panty shots, thye arent that many sex jokes, and the only real echhi about the show is that the girls are ok being naked around ikuto, even then they dont show much in that sense, echhi never really bothered me and the times they do use it usaly end up being some funny jokes even though im giving this a 8 its more a 9 but i am holding it back for some flaws such as a few charecter cliches in the side charecters and the ending, the show is still a very high 8 though overall this show is a fun romantic comedy with 2 very likable main charecters, one very well done romance, and many very funny scenes, i highly recomend it if you just want a fun show with a good romantic side,
