Based on a story by Otomo (Katsuhiro), it's about a ragtag group of hard-talkin', power suit-wearin' men tasked with disarming automatic tanks in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo. (Source: Crunchyroll)

Written and directed by Hajime Takoti (mecha designer on the Gundam series) and based off a manga by Katsuhiro Otomo, it's the tale of four men hunting down robots in an apocalyptic Tokyo. Farewell To Weapons is another heart-stopping addition to Short Peace. The moment when they spot a robot, the men quickly assume their positions and start off an epic battle of life or death with every shot building up to an impactful moment that hits you right in the face and boy, did I ever love the living crap out of this. I also enjoyed the comedy banter between the 4 men thathad a real feel of comradery and all of them were likable people. It also ends on a more comedic tone but it didn't bother me that much cause I had so much fun with this short that I couldn't care less if it ended sad or comedic.
Buki yo Saraba was short, so I will keep my review short as well. Let me start with the positives : + Outstanding animation on the action scenes + great graphics, even in the desert setting +very well done CGI which flow perfectly + original weapon design / mech design / suit designHowever I would have loved more background on the story, more on the tanks too. What led to the war, are there other survivors, who is fighting who? The tanks reminded me of Ghost In The Shell Tachikomas, a bit. The suits were a bit of a hybrid between an astronaut suit and some power armor. Very surprized by the quality of the military scenes. Overall 8/10
Given an 8 because it was great! vocals were japanese english subtitles Last of the part package of anime Short Peace By far the most assuming of them all! Sure, there was no witty song used unless you consider the radio in the intro. Which was odd seeing how it was an american (english) song. You have your brotherhood of men fighting for a cause(stupid maybe but a cause). You have your exchange of blows. You have your surprises. There is some comedy some a bit 'dry'(inside joke).Although, nothing can top that ending. Not what i thought would happen at all. As it progressed i kept thinking there is only path it can take... wrong wrong wrong! If you have some time to kill even if you are not a mech/scifi fan check this out.
In the time of post apocalypse in Tokyo an advance warfare is going on. It's between human and advanced automatic tank. It's so much advanced that, there is no trees to seen neither well structured buildings. All has been destroyed by the apocalypse created by the man. It is the fourth short from the animation movie short peace. It shows future earth, if humans don't try to end the present consequences. Niki yo Saraba or A farewell to Arms starts with four characters Gimlet, Marl, Gin and Junki. These four are selected for the scouting operation. All the modern armored suits are prepared, still no matchfor the canon of advanced automatic tank. In the lead of Gimlet, they arrive in the city starts petroling the city. After finding the presence of tank, they drove themselves into a battle against the tanks. As the result Gimlet, Gin and Junki dies. Mark gets lucky escape as the tanks doesn't target human with no armory and any tracking device. That doesn't satisfy Marl; he tries to battle with the tank empty handed ends up making comedy of himself by getting his wearings burned. Overall 7/10.
