Hatsu Inu is quite possibly the best hentai OVA of 2007 and one of my favorite hentai series of all time. Wile there is nothing new or fantastic about the story of Hatsu Inu there is nothing bad and it executes what it does quite well. The art is clean, framerates are good and sound is great. Possibly the strongest point of this series are its characters particularly Shion Fujino. Never before have I seen a character communicate solely with her eyes. Throughout the series she has almost no lines yet mannages to communicate through her eyes and subtle gestures quite the feat for a characterand daring for a hentai to pull off. This quiet doe-eyed beauty's character can be quite deceiving. While she appears to have a cavity inducing sweetness on the outside she is a nymph unmatched and has a dildo obsession like none other.
Overall it is probably the single cutest and most charming hentai series I have ever seen. 9/10

First off, let me say that this is the best hentai i've seen (thou that doesn't really count much i guess for I haven't seen much hentai... Not really into hentai you see but when I heard what this one was about i just had to watch it)... Oh yeah this is my first review as well, and i'm pretty bad at explaining things well so i'm sorry if this review doesn't make much sense. Story: 8/10 Hentai's are known to have crap story lines and so on- (not that this one has much of a storyline either, but of what it does have it usesvery efficiently). While watching this, it actually felt like a genuine anime and not a hentai, which no other hentai has done so hey that's gotta mean something. I was literally laughing off my seat at some of the stuff this is able to produce. So i'm sure you'd be able to get a good laugh out of this one, and i dunno- maybe for you fappers out there you can well yeah...
Animation: 8/10
The art and animation was very clean and so on throughout the 2 eps that this hentai has. I did notice a few flaws (mainly in ep 2), but overall it delivers.
Sound: 8/10
The seiyuu's did their job, i didn't have any problems with them. As for background music, i can't really say much for i don't really notice the background music much (unless its either really good or really bad). So overall if i can't remember anything it must mean there was nothing good nor bad, so no problems there either.
Charecter: 9/10
Fujino Shion was absolutely amazing, i loved her to bits. Without her most of the enjoyment of the series wouldn't have been there. Really, she's the reason i watched this. Really quiet (practically mute) girl who is obsessed with vibrators and seemingly uses one 24/7 no matter where she is? I'm there! Mika was also very entertaining for what there was of her, its a shame this is only 2 eps long, i would have liked more screentime of her to get to know her better (but this is a hentai after all...). Fukuya was also a pretty good male protagonist, not annoying at all. Overall, i don't think your gonna find another character like Shion in this, she really is just awesome.

I can't say how much someone who is looking for a hardcore hentai may enjoy this. After all i pretty much watched it as a normal anime and not a hentai, not really getting much hentai-ish vibes while watching this. In other words, i was in it for the lulz and not fappability, but I can assure you you should get some good laughs from this one.

Hatsuinu is the classic example of the hentai that gives too little, too late. Really, when watching this and looking at the cover image of the title. I thought "Damn, I can't wait to see the long haired chick get banged a few times over". Sadly, the main female interest is Fujiko. LAAMEE!!! Not only does Fujiko NOT talk, but her personality is fucking BORING!! Now you're thinking "But DownShift, you can still have a personality without talking". Well sure you can dipshit, but that doesn't mean that its going to make me want to watch you in a hentai. For the most part, theanimations are well done, very smooth sex scenes, very nice comedic moments. But really, I spent most of time skipping through the boring parts with Fujiko and skipped RIGHT to the sex scene involving the brunette (I forget her name off hand)
If you're looking for a quick hentai fix, or if you just feel like hentai is putting you to sleep enough, then check out Episode 1 of this bad boy. Otherwise, just go straight to episode 2.

hatsu inu is by far my all-time favorite hentai. It is not awkwardly overly sexual and the characters aren't (for the most part) that dramatized. I love the idea of fujino not speaking. most hentais' main female character talk way to much for absolutely no reason. fujino only speaks once and it adds to the overall effect of the story. the characters, in my opinion, are excellent. fukaya and fujino are absolutely adorable together. fukaya is quite handsome and fujino has to be one of the cutest girls in anime in general and the fact that she doesn't speak makes her ironically stand-out. of coursethere's the two completely unnecessary characters, mita and the nurse. mita's scenes are just uncomfortable and the nurse's scenes are pointless. the show would've been a solid 10 if it wasn't for both of them.
the storyline is quite clever and well-thought out for a hentai. most hentais are just big-breasted female and gifted male pound each other over and over with no real story behind it. fujino and fukaya's first real intimate sex scene was exceptional. hatsu inu demonstrates a real, cute relationship between an average teenage boy and his kinky, quiet girlfriend. I found myself really "connected" to fujino and fukaya by the end of the second season thanks to such strong character development.
the art of this anime is both cute and realistic. fujino has a pretty average body and realistically sized boobs. fukaya, as I mentioned before, is extremely handsome and also really "average". the non-sex scenes,, for example the pool scene, is drawn so cutely you almost forget you're watching a hentai.
overall, hatsu inu is adorable. it would've been perfect if the unnecessary mita/nurse sex scenes were cut out. it's excellent for somebody, like myself, who doesn't really enjoy the overly exaggerated and uncomfortable sex scenes some other hentais have to offer. it has the (almost) perfect blend of cute and soft sex scenes along with an interesting plot and a small amount of kinky while avoiding an overly sexualized main character and rape.

Now for the actual Review. So here goes:
You’ll often hear me talk about how I wish there was more of a focus on story elements when it comes to hentai titles. If all they do is sex, they succeed at being little more than another throwaway hentai feature. And even if the story isn’t good enough to make it worth a second watch, at least it can make the first time through more bearable. Every once in a while though, you’ll hit a title that really does something so well that the other aspects that may be lacking just don’t even matter anymore. And that’s what we have here with Hatsuinu.
If the synopsis didn’t clue you, there is no real story. It’s about the same as all the other hentai titles, trying to figure out a way to get the characters into all sorts of sexual situations. Fukaya and Fujino end up having sex just about everywhere you can think of; in the school bathroom, at home, on a train, at a water park, at a festival, etc. When they aren’t having sex, Fukaya is trying to figure out just how Fujino really feels about him, and if he is just being used for sex or if she really likes him. (I can hear you guys saying, “Where’s the problem with that?” All the fun and none of the baggage!… I’ve got nothing). The second episode throws in more of an unrequited love triangle, with another girl trying to move in on Fukaya and get Fujino out of the picture. This is done primarily to get a more climatic finish to the 2 episode OAV than anything else, but the end is very sweet so I can’t fault it too much.
So, what does Hatsuinu do well? Fujino. All the characters are pretty standard fare, especially the semi-wimpy looking leading man, but damn, Fujino is absolutely adorable! She’s mischievous, sexy, eccentric, and quite frankly, a nymphomaniac. She loves her toys and she’s not afraid to use them, and she does, almost continually. On a train, in class, swimming, why not have a vibrator pleasuring you? Fujino’s on a mission, 100% pleasure, 100% the time, and whether its toys, Fukaya, or both, she’s achieving her goal. She’s the star of the show, and she’s the reason to watch Hatsuinu. It’s only available censored right now, but if it’s this hot now, I can only imagine what it will be like when it finally gets licensed and uncensored…
Sadly there is one problem on the erotic side of things, the lack of variety. There is a lot of sex, but it’s also a lot of the same sex, and almost always between the same two people. If by the second episode you’re still cognizant, and haven’t drifted into another dimension of pleasure, you may notice that there is almost always the same stuff going on. Half the time she has a toy while Fukaya’s going at it, the other half of the time she doesn’t, but aside from that it’s all the same. Sure, they vary up the situations and places, but damn, give us something that’s a bit new and intriguing. You have such a wonderful girl to do other naughty things to, utilize it! Hopefully, with a sequel OAV in the works, aptly named Hatuinu 2; let us hope for more Fujino doing, or being done, in different ways.
Since Fujino doesn’t say more than about 10 words in the whole thing, (I wasn’t joking about her being quiet); it’s tough to really gauge her voice actress. Her moans are certainly tantalizing though, and really, that’s all that matters. The rest of the Japanese cast is great as well, but no English dub yet since it is unlicensed. Maybe that’s a good thing… Even the animation is above par and is one of the better looking hentai titles I have seen, though you will still see some corners cut.
Even without much of a story I have to give props when they’re due; Hatsuinu is one of the best hentai titles I have seen. Its success is squarely on the shoulders of Fujino, and she carries the OAV all the way through to the end. If you haven’t seen it yet I recommend you go find it. You really can’t go wrong.

This is definitely THE best hentai I have ever seen. It was the first, and got me on the track of watching several hentais hoping for one that would be just as good, but I was disappointed. I loved it so much that named this account after it. The two girls, Shion and Mita, are both extremely lovely but also very different. This is one of the only hentai that I have actually experienced a connection with the characters and I would hope for more episodes.

Hatsu Inu The Animation is both fucking fantastic and fantastic fucking. A girl in a deep committed relationship with her vibrator gets a real boyfriend and has to choose between them. The choice is pretty hard—but so is her boyfriend’s dick so it’ll work out fine. It has some absolutely classic scenes, like fucking on a train while she has a secret vibrator in and fucking in a public pool while she has a secret vibrator in. Top notch fetish material. Fujino is a top tier hentai waifu. And on top of a great scenario that’s ripe for both fetishization and sweetness, it’s beautifully animated, with eye-catchingcharacter designs. It’s one of the rare cases of a hentai anime with art that completely outperforms the original it’s adapted from, in my opinion at least.
It’s great fun, and a fun romantic/comedic hentai that’s stretches it’s premise too much to become boring and hits all the best notes a vanilla hentai with a twist of fetish can. There’s a reason why Hatsu Inu The Animation deserves to be highly reviewed by hentai fans, it’s an absolute must to at least try, even as a non-hentai fan. Turn off your brain, turn on you heart and loin and have a great time with it.
