My girlfriend has requested that I review this artistic masterwork from 2004. At first I was taken aback. How could I dare touch upon such perfection? After all, I am completely unworthy to critique such a divine chef-d'œuvre! However, she was insistent and thus I humbly submit my best efforts. Firstly, notice the size, spacing, and delicate areolae of our heroine's breasts. To any connoisseur of the visual arts, it is clearly a visual allusion meant to invoke Titian's Venus Rising from the Sea. One must also pay attention to the fact the hero's sturdy stallion is a completely different color from the rest ofhis body. This is a clear visual metaphor for his sexual uncertainty since he is virginal at this point and laying with our experienced heroine. Of course, I would remiss if I failed to mention the exquisite soundtrack. The smooth jazz piano that plays throughout is clearly reminiscent of Thelonious Monk. It does not take a particularly keen ear to notice the clear similarity the composer wished to establish. The voice acting gives us some truly inspired performances from the incredible actors at Media Blasters. Short of the Royal Shakespeare Company, I can't think of another acting troupe so ripe with talent. The plot is unequivocally masterful. Sex Friend is the most tasteful artistic representation of eros I've witnessed since Tristan und Isolde. At certain moments, I had to turn away from my computer screen! Surely this was too divine for such a base being as myself to witness! I can't believe that such miserable wretches as Masaaki Yuasa continue to make anime when works like Sex Friend exist! We are unworthy! We are unworthy!
It has been a while since I watched this two-part series, but I have to say that it surprised me, in a good way! The story is devoid of many of the usual cliches. Instead, the characters are given depth, especially the protagonist who tries to be considerate, unsure at first of how his actions are affecting others' feelings. This is a good contrast from the strict roles which most characters are given in anime (or fiction in general), and thus gives a more human face to the drama. However, I can't say that the story is deep or complicated. This is actually a good thing... justas they name suggest, this is a duo (two-part series) which is about sex first, friendship second, and not much else. Rather than having some twisted, artificial plot involving magic, monsters, or general mayhem, the story simply involves your typical high-school setup with kids having an excuse to act like adults. This makes the characters much more believable. Finally, the are is surprisingly good at times... it's not "super duper special awesome", but they are some details and variety in the animation which took a lot more effort that I usually see in a genre known for its use of repeated, limited animations. So, in summary, I really enjoyed this series, and I think in general it is overlooked... yes, it is only two episodes, and no one feature stands out as great, but, it is enjoyable and a pleasure to watch. It allows me to suspend disbelief easily and just have a good time, and isn't that what entertainment is all about? So overall, I'd give this a 9/10... the only thing that might make it better is more episodes, or a greater expansion of the franchise... but that's unlikely since what makes it easy to enjoy also makes it somewhat generic and unmemorable. Don't let that be a turn-off, though! This is worthwhile!
A true classic. Despite its almost two decades of existence, Sexfriend is a very enjoyable hentai with schoolgirls, teachers, threesomes and even some romantic development. Probably from a time the term Sexfriend was being popularized. Animation wise it shows its age yet it is still better than half of the hentai out there that gets released these days, it is uncensored, it has pubic hair and an easy to follow story. On the other hand, Ami Shizuki voices Hayase Mina, that alone is a plus. It also has a game that explores the characters in a more deep view besides sex but it is in Japanese andmight or might not run on your computer.
"Sexfriend" is one of those stories that remind the rest of us how our school lives SUCKED. And yet with all the hentai anime about how "the chick I gave my heart to is screwing someone else, and I can't do a thing about it" being created, this title is much easier to view. The question needs to be asked though: Can you still enjoy sex with someone who had already been screwing around? For a good part of time, Japan's "pro-purity" crowd gave out a resounding and echoing "NO!!!" Meanwhile, the rest of us didn't care as long as they're cuteand over 18. Oh well... Sexfriend is still a title worth viewing. It's like something Charles Schulz could've made; where Charlie Brown finally gets the "Red-Haired Girl," only to find out that she's a slut. And then he manages to get Marcie (who's been fantasizing over him)... Atleast the music gives off that "...Charlie Brown" feeling. It's a nice show; devoid of negativity and drama. Of course Takabe would be nervous for his "first time;" wondering how he'll do, if he's doing it right, and about Hayase. Aren't we all, as guys? But sex is meant to be enjoyed, right? Or else there'd be no hentai. Nor they'd be "the oldest profession in the world."
Synopsis It’s Takabe’s lucky day! After being used by Hayase to get rid of her old boyfriend, she decides to make him her sex friend. Startling to Takabe, who’s never had sex before, he decides to give it a go and so starts a feast of almost nonstop sexual encounters. And now the review, hope its helpful: Review Oddly enough, Sexfriend is the first hentai title I have watched from start to finish, without skipping through it to find certain “scenes.” This didn’t prove to change much though, as about 50 minutes of its 60 minute runtime is devoted to sex. This is great if that’s what you arelooking for, but not so much for any semblance of a plot. Sexfriend jumps straight into sex after they establish that Hayase and Takabe are now sex friends. After going through a couple of different sex scenes with them they switch gears to get a couple new characters into the mix. We have the older hot nurse that wants a piece of Takabe and we have the shy girl that masturbates in the library while thinking about Takabe. They all end up having sex in different groups, at different times. Usually each sexual encounter has something new, be it anal sex, toys, a threesome, or bj etc, trying to keep you from getting sick of it considering sex is the main crux of the title. During all this Takabe is just getting sex all over the place and his personality starts to change as a result. He goes from being the shy virgin doing only what Hayase will allow him to do, to being the domineering purveyor of sex, doing whatever he wants when he feels like it. This, however, only really occurs during the first episode. I thought during the second he was going to turn into some sex fiend monster with how evil he seemed to be becoming, but they tone it down during the second episode. I guess they didn’t want to go into the realm of rape and hardcore sex. This was a good move, as the sex scenes between Hayase and Takabe are the best part and they are the only scenes in which they grow closer together. This would have been ruined if he started going crazy and destroyed his relationship with her. The end is a little unsatisfying, as nothing changes from the beginning to the end. The animation is average and varies a lot from scene to scene. When you are looking at the main characters having sex, the animation is pretty good, with minimal looping. They aren’t hiding anything either, as the sex is very graphic and they do so love those close-ups. On the other hand, in one scene there are some extra students and they didn’t even have faces, or sometimes when the older nurse moves around she looks all out of proportion and disfigured. Usually this isn’t a big problem, and the animation is typically better than not, but does have some perceptible problems. Art wise I was not a fan of how the other female characters in the show looked, but I thought that Hayase was quite cute and an admirable lead for the show. The other two women just looked like standard fare characters. The English dub is hilarious. I don’t know what exactly it was, but with them saying the same lines as their Japanese counterparts, they turned from sexy to hilarious. I watched it for about the first 5 minutes and then had to turn it off. It’s good for a laugh, but it is not good in any other sense. It’s not that the voices were off; so much as the delivery of the lines was so odd. In Japanese though, it is quite good. Overall I found Sexfriend enjoyable if you are looking for a sex filled romp, but don’t look for anything else here. But really, are you going to be looking for anything else? Probably not.
As I prefer the real thing, I usually don't get to watch Porn, so this is one of the few Hentais I've actually watched. Well, how to say... I was surprised, it's not bad at all. There is something like a storyline behind this. The story is about Hayase and Takabe, who get to be Sexfriends. Well, it's not that easy though, because Takabe falls in love with Hayase, but she wants him just for fun (Guys sometimes don't gasp the difference between: Girl wants to have sex, or relationship... Oh well). For all the hardcore fans, you get to see the action, but thesex-scences are censored meaning: the genitals are pixelated, but this fact doesn't bother too much. The most positive aspect would be, that the sex-scenes are realistic. No tentacles, 8 dicked monsters or girls with 20 boobs... The "story" itself, is rather easy to describe: They become sexfriends, they fuck around, they go on a date and so on. The outcome? You've to see yourself... Well, people who are searching for an "realistic" Hentai, will be happy with Sexfriends, other people won't...
