"Sasuke Sarutobi" is an average college student at Kyoto University studying time slips as a hobby until the day he falls into a time slip himself, transporting him to the Sengoku Period. Upon arrival, Sasuke encounters several warlords he could only ever dream of meeting: Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Tokugawa Ieyasu, and the famous "Demon King of the Sixth Heaven" Oda Nobunaga, who takes him in as a vassal. Introducing several modern concepts to the warlords varying from playing tennis to sending chain letters, Sasuke finds his place in an old but utterly new world. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

*This review is for people who play Ikemen Sengoku. Otherwise, I'm telling you now, this anime will not make any sense to you; there is seemingly no plot, no character development; everything is completely nonsensical. However, if you play the otome game, and looking to feed your addiction, read on... In my opinion, this was created for IkeSen addicts like myself. At first, I thought the chibi style would be a total turnoff, but surprisingly, they're really cute, and true to their character (as per the game). AND, watch through to the end (3 minutes) and you're rewarded with a 2 second clip of the actualikemen in his glorious form. =D Each episode ends with a different ikemen. Enough said, right? Start watching! Why did I deduct a star? 3 minutes is too short! As an addict, I still feel withdrawal. P. S. There's no MC in this series. It's just the warlords. (This is NOT a complaint.) Therefore, do not watch this if you're looking for romance. This is just comic relief until your chapter tickets refresh for the day. ;P

ok I am just an anime fan not a critic. so if you want critique this isn't the review for you. I LOVED this show. I rewatched every episode multiple times. I think the chibi forms were delightful and every time I watched I found something to make me giggle. I don't know all the history behind the characters but watching their expressions and interaction was a riot. I found myself watching them in the background ( especially Oda when he is longing around ). as for the voices SWOON. this anime did exactly what it was supposed to, it makes me want the game BADLY.I also want MORE CHIBI and more real size of them. I CANT GET ENOUGH. I do wish they spent more time in the present *sigh* Oda and gang in suits - but that they were smart enough to figure out the wormholes was great. you want to just sit back and enjoy something WATCH THIS. its just entertainment - at its best!
Alright time to cut to the chase, first off, this is an otome anime based on the game. If you've have any prejudice towards the targeted demographic then this might not be suitable for you. Secondly, now don't get me wrong, I watched this without playing the game first. It's definitely watchable alone as a standalone for anyone but it's better to play the game (visual novel). However, it would do you just to know that it's based on historical figures. Story: 7 So far, this is pretty much a comedy-standalone story per episode. It covers the daily silly things that takes place there, so ifyou don't like random episodes, it's probably not that great. Although this might be entertaining for those who played the games and want to see some side tidbits of their favorite characters (personally speaking). And yes since this is a time traveling theme, there's some modern activities set in the Sengoku era (lol). [Update: Basically the keyword to this short series is the "wormhole" factor] Art: 7 With the cg, I was a bit bias mainly because 'why cg? and not animation?', but it fits the series especially with what I've mentioned, the random tidbits of the series. Nonetheless the CG works well with the ambience of the show, it's really cute too. Sound: 6 I haven't paid attention to the soundtracks in all honesty (TBC) but the opening theme song did irk me. Character: 6 Each episodes shows the silly side of the characters we might not really see in the game, mainly because so far it's from Sasuke's point of view. Plus they are really adorable in terms of being chibi-wise. [Update: The characters were fun and great but there really wasn't any coverage on their background, previously gave 7] Enjoyment: 9 Again, I'm leaning with the fact that this is a series that targets the female demographic and I've highly enjoyed the daily jokes as it is, so yes I really have enjoyed it a lot. Overall: 7 It's a series you really shouldn't take it seriously but just something to sit back while unwinding and laugh at.
Okay, so I very much loved this otome game to heart. So when I heard they're making an anime adaptation on IkeSen, I got really excited, then I found out it'll be more like a parody version with chibi characters... Uh okay? I won't deny I was a little disappointed but hell I watched it anyway and oh my, I never thought I'd enjoy it so much. It's 3-4 mins per episode. If you've played the otome game you'd be laughing your ass out off your seat. Each episode is hilarious. The character voices are somewhat the same as the character voices of the gameso it's really funny seeing these chibi animes with their sexy manly voice doing a bunch crazy unexpected things. All the 12 episodes are filler episodes too so don't expect it to follow any kind of route in the game or any kind of plot related story from the game. I highly recommend this to anyone who has played the game to watch this show, I can assure you, you will enjoy it and know that you're not wasting your time by doing so.
Story: 8 It was quite enjoyable to see a more playful side to the warlords. It had a nice pace, and I think in a way, it does have a story overall (but I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't watched). Art: 8 The chibi art style was quite cute, and I think it went well with the more comedic/spoof type of story. The end scenes were not chibi style, which was nice, especially when the characters said some sweet lines ;) Sound: 9 The opening song was okay, I don't know much about Star☆Concerto, but I think it would have been cool to have the voiceactors sing the song, but either way it did give the feeling as though all the characters were singing the song. I love that the show and game have the same amazing voice actors, and that the anime gave you a chance to listen to their lovely voices even more. The voice actors perfectly match the personalities of the characters. The background music/sounds did fit the scenes. Character: 9 There is definitely a character, if not all, that you will like. Each character is unique, and has a different type personality, and seeing how they all interact is fun to watch. If you play the game, you can see how the anime does play on that, and exaggerates it a bit (in a good way). Enjoyment: 10 I thought that each episode was adorable, funny, and enjoyable to watch. I did find myself fangirling over some characters and scenes. It will make you laugh out loud. Overall: 9 I loved watching the cute antics of these characters, the short episodes are fun to watch, and are a nice way to de-stress. I have re-watched episodes (especially after bad days at work >.<). [Personally, the short/chibi series reminded me of Pucca in a way, so if you liked that I think you would enjoy this as well] P.S. This is my first review ever (sorry if I sound a bit repetitive), and I should have mentioned this earlier, but I do play the game as well :) I don't think you have to play the game to enjoy this show.
