While the Extra music video by studio 4C might not be the most story-heavy short film, one thing that that gripped me about it was the atmosphere. The art direction and visuals complemented the almost dystopian feel of the song, not a surprise given the director is behind such works as Akira. Visually, Extra is a nice and short trip carried through loosely connected visuals with a plot that is vague to say the least, but where the short runtime sacrifices story elements it most definetley delivers visually, creating an enthralling atmosphere and aesthetic that is mostly conveyed through the set design. In summary, whileExtra can only fit so much into its short run time it's a pretty damn cool music video and worth your time.
