Better than season 1, but… I think season 1 of Xie Wang Zhui Qi is a bit disappointing, mainly because of the episode format (~8min/episode), and also because the pacing is mediocre. I liked the characters though, and I think the story has good premises. I decided to give season 2 a watch. In season 2, the creators manage to put more consistence into the story with a 20 min episode format. We also get some character development, and nice interactions between the MCs. Besides, there are a few good fighting scenes. I think the pacing hasn’t improved though, the story is sometimes confused, andthe behavior of some characters is irrational and annoying.
Overall, after season 1’s appalling ending, you just want to quickly start season 2. It’s definitely better, but many aspects could have been done better.

the overall development of the characters are great and it reveals many surprising elements about the characters. though in my opinion the character development between the ML and FL are a bit rushed. but overall, it was great! ~the art is outstanding ~the voice actors express various emotions and expressions ~the story development and plot are clear and interesting this anime is very enjoyable! episode 12: *spoilers may be included* the fight between yao yao and su luo is suddenly resolved just because of the fruit that su luo posses?! honestly, after showing that yao yao only cares for her love for the ML and her beauty, it shows thatshe can go crazy lengths for it. and that she’s selfish?!
also now that it is revealed that yunqi is suddenly in this strange realm along with su luo. and that HE was the one who sent her here?! kind of unexpected...
and when su luo’s new face is revealed, she looked TOTALLY different. i wonder how jin wang (ML) will find su luo with her new face (:(
