Setsuna Mudo is a 16-year-old high school student just trying to get by without running afoul of his bullying seniors. It doesn't help that he's in love with his younger sister, Sara, who only sees him once a month. But there's more to his life than just keeping his head down.
Setsuna is ambushed by mysterious beings, angels, and demons, all professing to know his true destiny. The angels say he is the reincarnation of their leader Alexiel, while the demons claim he led them to war against God himself.
As Setsuna struggles with his identity in such strange times, the eternal conflict between Heaven and Hell threatens to reignite. Will he be prepared when it does?

Great, another incestuous gay demon supernatural bishounen bishoujo anime. I find myself being redundant if I say 'another stupid anime made from a sub-par manga'. First off, the story is awful and had some of the worst plot I ever saw. It basically follows one guy perving on his younger sister and then angels trying to destroy the earth since the demons are ironically the good guys. It pretty much goes like this: Boy: I wanna bone my sister!! Sister: I'm pointless!Demons: AH, ANGELS!! OMGWTF!
The art was terrible--it looked like every character tripped and fell into Liberace's closet because their colour coordination in their clothes and hair was totally unfabulous.
The characters are stupid. Literally stupid. They have no other drive than to serve as boring plot devices to shake and not stir up forced controversy. I cannot enjoy an anime for being so ridiculous.
What a pile of trash--I would rather be locked in a toilet that can't flush than watch this ever again.

I take this opportunity to advocate that you go read the manga before you try this OVA. The manga is light years beyond this drek in terms of... well, pretty much everything. Needless to say this OVA does NOT do the manga any justice. Some of the animation sequences are pretty, but beyond that, this just sucks. The characters come off flat and obnoxious, and the story seems pointless and haphazard--there is no tension, and it feels like there are no stakes. This does not feel like a semi-Apocalyptic war between the forces of Heaven and Hell. It feels like... well... like every other bad pseudo-Biblicalpost-Evangelion catasterfuck of an anime.
If you're hardcore Christian and would be offended by a rebellion against God being told from the perspective of Fallen Angels, skip it. If not, skip it anyway and read the manga. You'll be glad you did.

Angels are God's messengers that protect humans from danger because they are the good guys. Wrong! Unlike most stories, the bad guys (the daemons) are the good guys in Angel Sanctuary. Some viewers may find this OVA offensive and sacriligious; however, it isn't an insult on Christianity. It's a fictional story reversing the roles for once and isn't meant to be persecuting Christianity; just showing the other side of the coin. There are far more films and television shows using crude humour towards Christianity in North America, which are a million times more offensive than Angel Sanctuary. Putting that aside, the mood for Angel Sanctuaryis very dark. It's a gothic drama dealing with the supernatural. It's gory and mature, so younger viewers may not like it.
The animation is very good for the year 2000. It doesn't have any computer graphics but it wasn't necessary: the pencil and ink animation was perfect enough. The low-lights in the hair, also the texture of the hair (pretty much everything about the hair) to characters is very wispy and detailed. Short haired people would be envious of the long, flowy hair that these two-dimensional anime characters possess. There isn't anything bad about the animation other than it's a little out of date. (But not by much)
The sound is simplistic, but sets the mood to the OVA. The music has the dark motif to the OVA, which makes Angel Sanctuary more gothic. Could have used more instruments and a more difficult melody, but the music does what it's supposed to: give the viewer the dramatic feeling.
Although English dubs aren't nearly as bad as many Japanophiles claim, the English dub to Angel Sanctuary was terrible. The acting was alright, the voices were what killed the dub. They sounded way too cartoony for a serious drama that was aimed at a mature audience. Crispin Freeman saved the dub as he showed his genius skills in the role of Rosiel. The voice of Setsuna (Scott Cargle) sounded more like a fourty year old than an older teenager. Watch this OVA in Japanese, it's much better.
The Characters were well developed and didn't have cliche personalities. Sarah's personality is a little too happy, which was the only problem. There is incest in this story line, but Kaori Yuki pulled it off. The incest shows how Setsuna and Sarah struggle to ignore their feelings in a forbidden relationship and not an episode of Jerry Springer. (They know incest is wrong) Like the theme, they are condemned sinners. Without the mood the incest wouldn't work. The bad guys aren't extremely evil as most antagonists are portrayed. Then again, everything is reversed.
Those who are into dark anime aimed at a mature audience would like Angel Sanctuary. It's tragic, but doesn't require a box of Kleenex. (just a couple) The manga has twenty volumes while the OVA has three episodes, meaning the end of the OVA isn't the end of the series. Angel Sanctuary should have been an anime series because the storyline scratches the surface. Also, the OVA hooks you into wanting more. It's a promotion or teaser for the manga. With the exceptional storyline and excellent animation, Angel Sanctuarty is one of the best OVA's made.

When I was a kid and starting to develop an interest in anime and manga, I came across a DVD of Angel Sanctuary at our local Blockbuster. Having never been exposed to much besides a few dime store ADV video tapes, I was thrilled. I took it home and decided that it was probably the coolest thing I had ever watched. Unfortunately, from an objective point of view, I couldn't have been more wrong. It was childish idealism at the time. Angel Sanctuary the OAV is impossibly hard to review because it is based on what is in my opinion, one of the greatest andmost beautiful pieces of artwork of all time. Kaori Yuki's Angel Sanctuary manga is a stroke of pure genius. Angel Sanctuary the OAV is a twisted, broken, unfortunate piece of nonsense that will turn off anybody who has standards for anime. The real tragedy is that such a horrible piece of animated trash was based on something so beautiful.
I rated the OAV a 5 overall because I had to be fair. It is entertaining and watchable. It just isn't good. It is the equivalent of watching a bad soap opera that you know isn't very good, but you can't get your eyes away from the screen.
My main issue with the OAV is that it is pretty confusing. They attempted to cram the first 3 Angel Sanctuary books into 3 episodes. That is 3 out of 20 by the way. To do this, they not only had to cut corners in explaining a ridiculously confusing and complex plot, but they had to cut some characters out or change them completely (poor, poor Katou) Furthermore, the story never actually comes to a finnish, and the viewer is left wondering what the hell happens to these characters. Unless you are willing to invest your time in the manga...heck, that is if you know the manga exists, you will be spending a good 2 hours watching a ton of drama that never even gets solved. Add on a few dozen plot holes and some pathetic dialogue and you have Angel Sanctuary's OAV.
Something else that I noticed is that Kaori Yuki's famously elegant sexy style just seems creepy in this show. This is an author that is known quite famously for her very obvious hoe yey overtones and extremely liberal opinions on human sexuality. The Angel Sanctuary manga is littered with men lusting after men, incest, transgender characters, etc. All of this is done in a very natural and respectable way. In the anime, the portrayal of these characters can best be described as dirty/creepy. Watching the main characters struggle with his feelings for his sister makes him seem more like an out of control, horny teenaged sex offender rather than a young man in love. The character Rosiel who acts as one of the series antagonists looks and sounds like a rapist. It's somewhat unsettling to watch.
As for the aesthetics, the art is very etchy and old fashioned. I think some of the art they used to advertise the OAV is actually very pretty, but it does not look very nice in show. You can tell that it was done on the cheap.
the AS OAV might be worth the watch if you are a hardcore fan of Kaori Yuki, but even then, it might just make you rage. It's not a horrible show, but it has some major faults that really demolish any value it could have had. My advice to everybody thinking of watching this is to skip straight to the manga that it is based on. You won't regret it.

I first watched Angel Sanctuary after seeing pictures of it and reading about it for quite some time. Personally, some of my favorite animes are always demons, angels and fantasy, so I really wanted to see this anime and learn a lot about it. Unfortunately, it is too short and where it ends, is where the anime finally gets interesting, but for what you do see, the anime is very good and very catchy. This may sound strange, but I enjoy incest stories when they are done tastefully and make the storyline actually interesting, and in this case, it is. The love between them is real,but they can't be together and the reasoning for their love is just awesome.
You cheer for them and yet you do not and the story that goes on is very deep and very meaningful and then it takes an insanely drastic turn and then it ends and all you want to know is - WHAT HAPPENED.
The art is splendid and some of the nicest I had seen for the time and also just made me want to see more, so it was really beautiful characters, and I really think others should see it.
However, I would totally recommend this if you plan on going and learning about the rest of what happened and reading it!

I know I've overrated this anime, but for me Angel Sanctuary harbors memories I hold close to my heart. This review was originally written in the diary of a young warrior who is no longer among us. Accused of committing high treason he was exiled from the country, but he was given a choice, either that or just watch Angel Sanctuary 100 times over and write a detailed essay on it. Unaware of the danger that lay before him he went with option B......The poor soul was found hanging in his lockup the following day. Not to brag, but I am far superior to him for Ihave watched it and I survived.

So, the central character of this story is this constantly bullied guy with a sister complex, where his sister has an equally noteworthy bro-com. I also got the vibe that their mother has a daughter complex from her sadistic behavior towards her son.

Obviously because the angels tried to destroy the earth.
And so with the power of the lead character it's up to Setsuna Mudo to defeat god and save her sister from food poisoning. Wait, what about the earth......umm...I'm sure I'll be fine, this isn't DBZ after all.

Warning, before you watch this, leave your religion at the door! Homosexual Demons, Kind Demons, Evil Angels, and Incest galor. Not to mention, everyone just wants to kill god. This is basicly the story of a young student named Setsuna Mudo and the trauma he goes through when he discovers that a rebel angel against god lies dormant inside of him. Not only that, but everyone seems to want to pull her out. Sadly, the only problem with this is that he'll die if they succede. You'll see Setsuna Mudo going through the average highschool pains we all experience, like dating your sister while hidingit from your friends, and murdering that gang member who always beat you up. Well, it may seem pretty controversial and ground breaking with a plot like this, but the story seemed dry and too straight forward. To me it always seemed like Setsuna was just a big crybaby U_U. I felt little emotional attachement. However, in the movie X, I was really disapointed and sad when a character died. Overall, I guess it was a good...well CRAZY...idea with an ok execution. Hmm, it could have been much better.

Angel Sanctuary was a manga written by Yuki Kaori from 1994 to 2000. At the tail end of its run, in 2000, it got an OVA from Hal Film Maker. The same studio that brought us Princess Tutu and... Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-Chan. The manga is dark and disturbing with a lot of screwed up events and circumstances. It's also really good, provided you don't mind media that takes liberties with Judeo-Christian mythos. So, does a three episode OVA manage to capture the spirit of the manga? Story: Our tale opens with our hero, Setsuna, fighting against a group of thugs. He's winning handily, until his sister,Sara, interrupts the confrontation, angry at him for forgetting about their date. Turns out their parents divorced and they decided to meet up once a month to keep in touch. Don't have a sigh of relief yet, it's quickly revealed that Setsuna has more than a familial love for his sister. Yes, this series features incest. Although I will give it credit over everything else I've reviewed with that kind of content. There actually are good narrative reasons for it and the reactions they get are largely realistic. It's also a screwed up element in a series that is deliberately full of screwed up elements. So it does kind of work for this story. After separating from his sister Setsuna encounters demons who tell him he's the reincarnation of an angel, Alexiel, who followed in Lucifer's footsteps, rebelling against God. He finds himself dealing with his feelings for Sara while both angels and demons try to reawaken Alexiel, which could very well bring an end to his life and identity as Setsuna.
Let's begin by looking at the negative aspects of the series. The most obvious issue is that it doesn't stand alone by any means. It's like Battle Angel or Fire Emblem and serves more as a teaser for the manga rather than as a self-contained story. Which, to be fair, is kind of to be expected when you turn twenty volumes of manga into a three episode OVA. There are certainly other issues too. The pacing isn't very good. The series throws major scenes at you one after the other with no time to take anything in and with very little explanation for any of the supernatural elements aside from “it's magic, they don't have to explain it.” As a result exactly how this world works is kept kind of vague. Again, to be fair to the OVA, these are all problems present to some extent at the beginning of the manga.
On the positive side, the premise is really solid. There are lots of good ideas and the setup leaves a lot of room to further delve into the world with lots of intrigue to build upon. Pacing issues aside, the events themselves also unfold very naturally with plenty of foreshadowing for important plot points. Which does give the narrative a pretty strong flow. It does provide a solid opening for a series.
Characters:
A lot of the characters in this series aren't particularly likeable. They're largely complex and even interesting, however. The problem with the OVA in particular is that the complexity for the characters is heavily limited since there's a lot less time with them. As such you get traits that are far more basic for the secondary characters, who are largely the strongest characters in the manga. It does spend sufficient time with Setsuna, Sara, Rosiel and Sakuya to give you a good feel for their characters. The rest of the cast develop and become important at later points than the OVA reaches and they come across as quite flat and you would question why some of them are even there if you haven't read the manga.
Art:
The art is really good. The action sequences are very well animated and the character designs look really nice. I especially like the way they draw wings. The art does get absolutely brutal at times and the violence can be disturbing. The backgrounds are well detailed.
Sound:
There are some very strong performances in this. Nojima Kenji, Psycho Pass's Nobuchika, gives a great performance as Setsuna. You also get powerful performances from Miyamura Yuko and Koyasu Takehito. The biggest weaknesses are Kawasumi Ayako, who seems to be decidedly not trying, and Chiba Susumu who over-acts as though he's been training with Brian Blessed. The music is just okay.
Ho-yay:
The ho-yay factor is a 3/10. There's some stuff between Setsuna and Sakuya that seems suspect, but nothing big.
Final Thoughts:
Angel Sanctuary definitely has things to recommend it. It also has significant issues. By itself, it really doesn't hold up. Really, I would only suggest it for fans of the manga. If the premise sounds interesting to you, I'd look at the manga first. As a supplement to the manga, it does work okay, providing a nice little look at the first story line. My rating for it is going to be a 5/10. Next week, K-on the movie.

I watched this back in 2008, it was hilarious. No idea why I'm writing this 7yrs later, but I still love Kaori Yuki. This crap here was an outright horrible adaptation. I felt like it was just an extra for the manga readers. But honestly, its soo bad. Don't even get me started on the dubbed version, it was just too funny, there's screaming and ect where it doesn't belong and I swear, noone in this show has a brain. I felt like Setsuna and his sister were both retarded as well as 99.9% of the cast. Animation wasn't good and the OVA failed toexecute any plot. All the angels are idiots as well as demons and that pretty much sums this ova up. I would suggest reading the manga, because if you watch the ova, you'll hate it guaranteed...so much potential ruined...

Angel Sanctuary can best be described by the fact that for a good portion of it, you're watching it with your eyebrows raised. This is due to the fact that Angel Sanctuary is an incest story. To most of us who actually have sisters and are not reading nasty doujins, this is an absurd and revolting concept. However, the concept here is taken very seriously and from a realistic perspective. Unlike most of the incest fanservice and occurances you'll find in anime, in Angel Sanctuary it is not assumed to be a normal engagement for the sake of some weird fantasy. In fact, how abnormal andwrong it is is fully addressed.
The story seems to be the manifesto of someone who has had incestuous feelings and has thought long and hard about it, about how despite it being wrong, it would make people that have those feelings happy to indulge in them.
The setting takes on a bastardized version of the war between Biblical angels and demons, the war against God, etc, still going on in present day Tokyo where a rebel Angel lies dormant in a seemingly human shell. It portrays the demons as the good guys, the angels as the bad guys. It says, "I know that for loving my sister, I belong in Hell, but I'd rather be there than in Heaven without my sister."
Angel Sanctuary is very short, at best a mediocre watch, at worst an advertisement for a manga I've never read. If you're curious about the ideas on incest, that's the most you'll get out of it. The intrigue of this peculiar topic alone is what got this anime a score of 5. The angel-demon setting could be pulled off better.

Eh, I know it seems like my review isn't going to be that good by the rating alone ... but don't get me wrong. I'm a huge fan of Kaori Yuki and was really excited when I heard about Angel Sanctuary. The anime is so different from the manga and I felt like it didn't do it justice. I felt as though some of the characters were dulled down and honestly, the English dubbing wasn't that impressive. Angel Sanctuary itself is a great story, with great characters and many twists and lots of action, sure to satisfy anyone that likes romance and fantasy. But unless you'rea big fan, I'd say skip this and read the manga, you won't be disappointed.

What can I say about this without being too harsh or too nice. I'll be honest here. I only watched this because I was intrigued by the idea of Setsuna being the reincarnation of Alexiel, but that seems to be where it ends for me. STORY: The story isn't bad by any means, but I did do a bit of research before and after watching the anime and they left a lot out. It ends with a cliffhanger, which could be good since it allows the viewer to choose what happens to Setsuna in the end. However, I was pretty confused while watching. I'll give them propsfor a realistic depiction of what would happen if an incestual relationship were to happen in real life. In other incest stories, the two committing incest are somehow always able to keep it a secret from everyone so we never see how other people react. In this anime, both of them realize how wrong it is - the fact that they do end up together just shows that they truly do love one another (and that it's not just lust like some other incest anime makes it seem). It also felt a bit short, but that's common with OVAs.
ART: The art could have been better. It fit this series particularly well. However, it doesn't look like it was produced in the 2000s, looks more like a 1990s production - but that can be overlooked since it was just the beginning of the new millenium. The art seems to work better in the anime than in the manga, though - for the early volumes of the manga, that is, based on the few scans that I've glanced at.
SOUND: Rosiel sounds like a creep and his voice left me wondering if he was going to sneak into my room and take my virginity. However, since I've only watched the OVA, I feel like it fit him. The other voice actors didn't really fit well with their characters, in my opinion - aside from Kira.
CHARACTER: Probably the best part of the OVA, in my opinion. You've got Kira who has a hard time admitting that he is, in fact, a human being - despite the fact that Rosiel's blood makes him immortal. Then you've got the delinquent big brother, Setsuna, who is actually the reincarnation of the angel Alexiel; this same guy also seems to be in love with his sister, and, although he tries to hide it, he will do anything to see her happy. Rosiel's a creep - do I really need to say more? The second I saw him, he just gave off an evil vibe. Sara, although she bored me at first, ended up being a pretty decent character - althought I don't think I would ever say I like her. Katan does a very good job at being Rosiel's sidekick, and I like the idea of the fact he believes he's doing the right thing in trying to save heaven - when the series makes the angels still residing in heaven look like the bad guys. It's not really something I'm used to. Instead of heaven and the angels being on the side of good, they're the antagonists in this - which is part of the low story rating.
ENJOYMENT: I did enjoy watching this OVA. However, I felt like they could have done more with it. While watching, to me, it seemed like they had a pretty bad budget.

Where do I begin? A friend of mine recommended this to me and I was very skeptical. A brother in love with his sister and reincarnations of angels and such? I believed I would surely hate it. But... I didn't. The art was beautiful. The story was fair, although I believe there were a few plot holes in the whole angel reincarnation line, but on the whole, a good adaptation of a manga that was so very long. (I assume. I have yet to finish the books myself.)

I wanted to watch the Angel Sanctuary OAV because I’m a huge fan of the manga, so my review is very colored by my comparison of the two. Also note that my review is based on the original Japanese audio. My biggest problem with this anime is that it makes much less sense outside of the context of the manga. Even I was a bit confused about what was happening because I completed reading the manga so long ago. (Unlike with some series, none of this is due to a poor English translation.) I actually feel like it would have been more beneficial to simplify the storyand focus on what can be fit into three half hour episodes. There are many, many forces at work in Angel Sanctuary, but there was no reason to introduce all of them when they can’t be properly explained in the time allotted.
My problem is not with the plot itself but how it was adapted and presented.
Now the first episode is definitely the worst of the batch; there’s a confusing dose of angel lore thrown at you and about a dozen conflicts are roughly presented. Important explanations are left out or glossed over which also affects the emotional impact present in the original work. The characters are presented in such a way they seem flatter than flat. By the second episode emotions have kicked in and things start getting interesting, as well as a bit more being explained.
On to the more technical stuff.
While the voice acting was reasonable, the sound effects and music were outdated and cheesy.
The animation is decent for a low budget OAV and does have its moments. It’s far from the best (even considering when it was made) and most of it lies along the lines of “functional”, but it doesn’t produce any major complaints.
Overall, I was disappointed as a fan of the manga. I got nothing out of watching it and I'm afraid someone who is unfamiliar with the manga would get even less.
While far from abysmal, I can't think of anyone to recommend this to except Kaori Yuki fans without high expectations.

I give apluse to people who can step out of the box and do something completly diffrent, something very taboo and risky. Angel Sanctuary did this, and it by no mean's a good anime, in fact I really didn't like it. I don't know why I strated watching this, I'm not a big fan of deamon fighting animes. It was only three episodes and I had some time to kill so I tried it. I don't want to say the story caught my interest, but it did, because it was like nothing I have ever heard of in a anime. it's about a high schoolboy who finds out he has a god hating angel stuck inside of him and strange homosexual deamons are trying to get her out of him. On the bright side his high school life is going great! (love sarcasim.) he's actually in love with his younger sister, and not in the brother/sister kind of way, in the I want to make love to you kind of way.
The art is what almost saved it, this is a beautiful looking anime, very well drawn, with realistic looking people and the demons are drawn right out the old scrolls from which they were based off of. I think the story is what I didn't like, it was so out of the box though the creators really tried their hardest to slander everything and they did but it just didn't pay off in the end. Good try though.

okay.. angel sanctuary. story: 10/10 when i first read about it, i was turned off by the idea it was incest BUT nonetheless interested. it deviates from the norms of society, you might get a little shocked about it. i'm a traditional person so it was difficult to ingest it to my system. ehe. but the supernatural side is also another noteable feature. it is one that attracts most of its viewers. art: 9/10 art is actually good too! considering the time it was produced, i'd say it was one of the best. even now, the art isn't as far from what we're seeing. although you'd see someslight errors in animation, it still is acceptable, if you ask me.
sound: 8/10
the seiyuus were able to deliver their roles well. there weren't much music to this but it's fine for a passive listener like me :p
enjoyment: 9/10
being it a 3-episode OVA, it must not waste even a second and it really optimized the time given to it. when i got to finish it, i was satisfied although i know there should be a sequel to this. but it was fine as it is since they ended the season well.
overall: 9/10
i wouldn't say it is at its best. i wish they're going to remake it. (of course, that stays as a wish for the time being) but if one day, you're bored and you want to escape from reality, you should watch this :)

This was a very interesting anime, it keeps your attention and is enjoyable. Its not for people who dont normally watch anime however, because it can get at some points confusing. It touches on several sensitive topics as well..such an incest, and god and death. As for the manga its alittle better in terms of..mental strain? the manga can be overbearing because it has ALOT of dialog its one of those "not tell the story with pictures" type dealies. If your up for an exciting ride however..with no end i have to add this is for you.

After all that is said about Angel Sanctuary the premise is simple: a mix of Orpheus, Divine Comedy and the Apocalypse Myth set in a futuristic display of Biblical Characters. This is what makes this story so revolutionary, even shocking. There are a series of side stories that include homosexuality, incest and your average imorality that serve almost exclusevely as motto to present the Heaven and Hell and its characters. This great premise is acomplished by fine art, extremelly detailed and, overall, beautiful. Even though the story is left at the Hades Arc in this OVA (for my great disappointment) just the art makes it worth towatch.
However, even though the beauty of the characters makes it all worthwile, their personalities are left incomplete due to the shortness of the series. You don't get enough information on the Angels and Demons, just the basics to understand who they are and how are they (somewhat) related. Some of the relationships are blur and in the end you get the feeling that you wanted to know more about them.
The music is appropriate, even though not brilliant, and the voices... Well, they were exactly like I had imagined after reading a few chapters of the Manga. That must mean that they did a fine job!
Overall, this is highly recommended for the art quality and the story premise but it leaves you at the edge of a cliff: you want to know more, but there is no more. Only manga.

Angel Sanctuary Anime Review By: Yuki Kaori May 14, 2019 Overall: 9.4 Plot: 9 I can't actually remember how and why I downloaded this anime. It only consist of three episodes about the war between angels. The opening of the story is really interesting as it mentioned Lilith, who other people believe to be the first wife of Adam. Though along the story, that opening seems to be not related at all. The story actually show a tragic love between siblings, how they tried to stop their feelings and the consequence of falling in love. Apart from that, it was also a fantasy themed anime where war between God, angelsand demon exists. A reincarnation of an angel named "Alexiel" who, in the past, opposed God's doing is residing on the body of a high school boy "Setsuna" who loved his twin sister "Sara". Along the way, the angel's sister "Rosiel" keep on trying to anger Setsuna in order for Alexiel to bring himself up. However, it seems that the angel himself want to stay in the body of the boy, having those innocent and pure love.

Each character has properly introduced even if there's only three episodes of this anime. Though the development of some characters are clearly not visible, others did change standing up on what they really want and feel. In such a short span of time, it was shown how people can change from being discourage on everything about his life to accepting it all and facing it head on. Though not everything end up the way they want, at least they choose to try it.
Sound and Animation: 10
The animation is really great, given that it was created way back year 2000. Every character is too gorgeous and each of their expression are well shown. I love how the faces of the characters are different from one another, adding to the personality of each of them. The animation and music of this story is kind of dark and heavy, so I don't think everyone will appreciate it. But yeah, it's literally too good from the year it was created.

I love reading and watching Incest genre story. Many will think that it is filthy, and unacceptable, and a sin. But if it is love, it is love. Apart from that, it is interesting how people will stand up on what they really feel and close their mind from every criticism thrown at them. Watching this anime is not exactly fun, it is rather an eye opener. It tells you to choose what your heart feel before you regret it. It tells you that not all decisions you'll make is right and it is fine. Lastly, it show how important it is that you, yourself, will choose the path you want and not anyone else.
Ending: 8
It is confusing, the ending, that is. Another character has been shown, another gorgeous character and it will make you want to have more. But you'll know that wanting more meant digging deeper on the dark side of the story. After watching it, the other reviews made me need to read the manga as it is completed in there. Before the confusing part, it seems that the continuation of the story will take place on the realm of God, heaven or hell. Unlike the anime which only shows the present world, our world, human world. I think, the manga is waaay more interesting than the anime.
