Welcome to the nth entry in the 2020s isekai/fantasy deluge of utterly forgettable slop that has continued to plague the airwaves (or should I say bandwidths) of anime for what has felt like time immemorial. The twist this time is that the main character was a fallen hero who has reincarnated as a cat. But not just any cat - he's an S-rank behemoth, capable of astounding skills and abilities that can beat pretty much any threat or enemy he comes across, which takes away any cinematic tension (I shudder at even applying that phrase in this context) that builds up during the course ofthe show. This makes him, well, just like any other invincible isekai protagonist, except that his hair (or fur) is brown, rather than black like his brethren of clone brothers from the countless other isekai universes. The supposed "twist" here unfortunately doesn't add much to the story, failing to help it stand out from the surrounding cesspool of crap. There were many interesting ways the story could've gone to dive into the challenges and advantages of being a cat in a fantasy world (like how the video game Stray did it within a cyberpunk world).
Perhaps this story never set out to achieve anything of note - and it was cheap, fun entertainment with attractive female characters playing up ecchi tropes. Wholeheartedly embracing the degeneracy could've been a somewhat refreshing take on the genre. In that case, it could have gone further with the fanservice and spent more time and effort on that, rather than shoehorning in some contrived overarching conflict with an unnecessary level of seriousness. It could've done better to have picked a lane and stuck to it.
In terms of production, the theme songs were somewhat unique compared to similar offerings in the genre, and the voice acting performances were solid. The animation was nothing to shout about.
It would've been a complete waste of time, but at least the show had plenty of bath scenes (I think they had one in pretty much every episode). 1 point for the boobs of the main elf girl, 1 point for the boobs of the cat girl, 1 point for the boobs of the dragon girl.

'Beheneko: The Elf-Girl's Cat is Secretly an S-Ranked Monster!' is basically an unnamed knight who got reincarnated into an S-ranked monster, a behemoth, but mostly takes the form of a cute cat named Tama. Whilst a character offscreen came from Japan and the world of Beheneko is an isekai, for our purposes, it is effectively just fantasy. I am recommending this but I can only give a 5 out of 10. Why? It's a great guilty pleasure or close to degenerate. It teases about bestiality without going there. Its story is decent. It has a decent beginning, some character for Tama and his master Aria, an introductionto Aria's comrades, and some fights. Whilst Tama is this powerful beast, he is often challenged, which is why it's not one of those anime where the protagonist is overpowered and easily defeats his enemies. The final boss is a worthy challenge, though one may nitpick how he was defeated.
It includes an LGBT couple. Some people may object to this and call this woke DEI shit. I can't blame them, and I also hate woke/DEI. But let's get real. The problem with woke/DEI stuff in Western media is that they make the inclusion of marginalised people the raison d'etre of why a piece of media should be celebrated and neglect the story and entertainment value. In contrast, this anime can and does entertain, albeit it's imperfect. Also, true diversity would allow media that excludes LGBT and ethnic minorities but also allow media that also includes them. It should not be a one-size-fits-all where every piece of media should include DEI.
BUT HERE'S WHERE IT STINKS:
Except for Tama, the character designs are mostly generic. Aria in particular isn't distinct enough from Seras of Failure Frame, who also has a generic design. Contrast this with the character design of Frieren and Marcille from Dungeon Meshi.
It is advertised as uncensored ecchi, but it falls flat spectacularly. Even if we see their large boobs and nipples, it doesn't feel sexy. They look and feel like generic slop. Thus, the bath scenes in almost every episode, which last around 3 or so minutes, feel like a waste of time. If this were not an uncensored ecchi, I would have given this at least a 6 because its story is at least decent but its USP of having uncensored ecchi is a disaster.
It's not bad. It is certainly watchable. It can be a guilty pleasure, but it leaves a lot to be desired.
NOTA BENE: A rating of 5 out of 10 means that 1) I find this anime to be average, 2) I enjoyed it to some extent, but it has some flaws. 3) Or simply, I rank it below my 6's but above my 4's.
A 5 means a passing score. If you're the kind of viewer who treats anything below a 7 as irredeemable, I'd encourage a broader, more nuanced approach to rating.

Just so i make it all that much clear, this high score is meant for the material used,not for the studio and the animation. I am this lenient because ecchi anime seem to be an incredible rarity at this point, actually good and uncensored even more so.That being said the fanservice in this anime is light, way lighter then what you are lead to believe at the very least. And it all happens in the bath really, you don't get any "accidents" with the monsters in the dungeon.Already that settles a certain level of seriousness ,and the fact that there is a time for everything. Honestlythe only part of the story that's relatively fresh is the reincarnation as a monster,while that's not good news, the characters presented, at least the main cast as you'd call it, do have their own roles,and aren't complete cardboard cutouts. So all in all, the story is a decent one all facts considered. The naming convention is pretty basic , and so are most abilities i guess... But i honestly can't be certain if it's really the material when it comes to how the abilities look or the animation.
Now ,the elephant in the room,and something i'd otherwise given at best a 3 . The animation. Simply put, horrendous. I honestly doubt they didn't have the budget for at least 1 decent fight in the entire show. Unless they had a gum and 5 bucks as their budget,wich i somehow doubt. Or maybe it's the fact it might simply be a promotional series to bring attention to the manga. But im quite certain it's also low effort,regardless of budget. It feels that way really. Same frames used multiple times, even the one in the ending is a frame they used previously. I honestly don't understand why'd you pick up a story no matter how basic and how much slop it throws your way and present it with this half-baked low-effort animation,at that point just don't do it. Im quite certain the scores would rise all around the board for most anime like these if they'd at least have a semi-decent animation. And the CGI... Jesus Christ it's the first time i've seen some that nasty. It's like they settled on the raw generated model and gave it 0 polish. And after this assault on the eyes(because the voice actors in anime honestly have never been subpar,and that really annoys me even more about the animation),who's eager to continue the story....
And since i got beef at this point with the people who animated this ,so i paid good atention to it,i've also noticed that the nipples and the areolas are literally copy-pasted on all the girls.So even the light ecchi they show is low-effort. It's crazy how much they didn't care.
And the comparisons to My Life as Inukai-san's Dog while valid, this show isn't really as morbid because of the setting. Since it's a fantasy world,Stella and Vulcan aren't that out of line . There's no excuse for Aria though.She's a deviant through and through.
If you are intrested in the premise though, you have a better chance enjoying the manga then this thing.

So, Beheneko is definitely an ecchi show—let’s not pretend it’s not. There’s no shortage of fanservice, and the anime knows exactly what it is. But honestly? There’s a lot more going on here than just boobs and jiggle physics. At its core, this is a fantasy-adventure series with a fun, chaotic energy, and once you get past the wild premise (yes, the elf-girl wants to f*** the S-ranked monster cat), you’ll find a really entertaining story underneath. The fights are solid, the characters have personality, and the pacing keeps things moving. The world-building is a bit vague at times—you’re not getting deep lore dumps or intricatepolitical systems—but there’s just enough detail to keep you intrigued. I kept wanting to know more about the past war and this mysterious 'Grand Mage'.
I genuinely don’t get why this show is ranked so low. Sure, it leans into the ecchi angle hard, but it also delivers a good time from start to finish. It’s dumb fun, but it’s good dumb fun. If you’re into fantasy anime with some fun adventures, chaotic fantasy worlds and a generous serving of ecchi, this one’s a blast to watch.

As an ecchi anime fan, Beheneko caught my eye when it was announced. The promise of charming girls paired with a medieval epic infused with J.R.R. Tolkien-esque flair had me hooked from the start. I pictured a world of grand battles, deep lore, and playful fan service—everything I crave in a series like this. When 2025 rolled in, Beheneko arrived, and I was ready to dive in. Is it bad? Not quite. Is it good? I wouldn’t say that either. It’s like rooting for a sports team tipped to win the championship, only to see them fizzle out in the playoffs. The potential was there—Aria’s quest,Tama’s mysterious power, a kingdom teetering on ruin—but it never ignited. The narrative stumbled, feeling flat and uninspired. By episode 5, I could’ve walked away without a second thought.
The characters intrigued me at first. Aria’s determination and the quirky harem had charm, while the world hinted at a rich history of ancient relics and shadowy foes. Yet, the storytelling failed to capitalize on this foundation. It dragged, lacking the excitement to pull me in, leaving epic battles—like the demon lord clash in the finale—as rare bursts in a sea of mediocrity.
The fan service? Average at best. There were moments—Tama’s transformations, a few playful scenes—but nothing memorable or applause-worthy. For an ecchi fan, it barely scratched the itch.
It pains me to say Beheneko is an anime that “could have been.” It’s not terrible, but it fades into the attic of forgettable series, lost among countless others that never rose above the crowd. The finale was decent, yet it couldn’t salvage the unfulfilled promise.

Ok first things first. If you are looking for high quality anything...it's not this. This is a Guilty Pleasure at it's finest! It is just a goofy good time and that's it. This series knows what it is and leans into it full force. It's a hot mess, but in a good way...or in a neutral way for some. It's basically a Popcorn ecchi. Having said that as someone who loves both ecchi and fantasy.....it was fine.....and that's how I rated it. Truthfully it's pretty average across the board. I bumped it up to a 6 because I did enjoy watching itthe whole way through, even if it was a bit repetative. My biggest issue is the wasted potential. This premise is interesting enough, but nothing was really fleshed out at all. The story felt extremely rushed and very little was explained in the way of character building and background information. The typical tropes both story and character are present so nothing really new there. The animation is good for what it is despite what some say. As someone who grew up in 80's I know bad animation and this isn't bad. Granted it's not great, but for what you are watching, it's fine so some of you need to get off your high horses.
Bottom line if you like goofy ecchi fantasies and aren't bothered by all the main female characters being horny for an animal you'll likely enjoy this for the Popcorn Anime it is or at least want to finish it. Otherwise avoid it.

BeheNeko - Even a cat can't escape the "How is this NOT a Hentai" premise in a reincarnation story, Isekai or otherwise. I'm just going to ask a very simple question: Does anyone remember Inu ni Nattara Suki na Hito ni Hirowareta a.k.a My Life as Inukai-san's Dog? That was a show where through a pseudo-reincarnation stage, the MC suddenly finds himself turned into a dog and then is swarmed with the girl that he had a crush on and fell hard for, and the other girls fall even harder for him. That was 2 years ago in Winter 2023, and yet another Winter season hascome, and we get exactly that same premise once again, but this time in a stereotypical sword and sorcery, adventure fantasy comedy from novelist Nozomi Ginyoku, who (I'm going to assume) pioneered this kind of raunchy "it's not Hentai levels of ecchi" kind of story that is the literate definition of "getting into the MC's pants (or fur, rather)". It just is a show made for degenerates, by degenerates, and it SUCKS ASS.
As Isekai connoisseurs, we all know that if given the chance for a second re-do at life, the temptation to plunge to become the desired senses of our dreams becomes second to none. And yet, this is the case for a random knight being KIA and coming back to life as a behemoth a.k.a cat beast, said to be one of the greatest monsters. Of course, with reincarnation as the theme itself, said cat doesn't start off strong and has to work his way to gaining even more powers to become the OP version of himself, typical average to decent stuff. And it's when his life as an ordinary cat is in danger that he meets the girl that would save (and thus) change his life for the better: the elf girl of Aria, walking in the footsteps of her idol, Alisha the Sword Saint, wanting to be just like her and become strong so that she can protect the people that she loves.
That's where the good part stops, unfortunately, because everything else is just straight-up ass levels of butt-crack and over-the-top cringe. Obviously, having a familiar like Tama is great and all, but when your literate character exists to have the Elemental cat himself fit snugly between your big and voluptuous boobs, to the point where he struggles quite a bit when the proportions are off the charts, that's a problem. For one, take the guild receptionist of the town that Aria resides in: when he's named after one of the most iconic people in the world for inspiration, but made to be a sissy by wearing only suspenders that make him look sexy with a 6-pack body, he's one reason why the show just loves to embody the degenerate side, and it's self-aware enough to be unashamed at it, and it shows (which I'm actually fine about it, though your tolerance level may vary). Even the female creature characters that come after, like the tiger-eared blacksmith of Vulcan, the dragon girl of Stella (whose thirst levels for Tama are out of this world), as well as the dryad Feri and fairy Lily (who, pardon them for being innocent kids in a pool of sexualized adults), the formula just goes from bad to worse. The cardinal sin of having almost 2/3rds of the show showcasing the group having baths every so often just for Tama to resist his manhood showcasing through his fur while getting boob-attacked by (mainly) Aria and Stella so often, I can't imagine how much Tama would've sacrificed his life just to be in a pseudo-Inukai world where the girls all thirst over him and grope each other, only to get disgusted by it which slowly breaks his sanity. All he wants is a life to work for the good, and yet, these pretty ladies give him a run for their money, not just with his legit OP skills, but for being love-struck like a typical harem. And if you think that the story itself holds up, I'm sorry, but you're just wasting time watching a story that is the low-ball of generic Isekai reincarnation-ish stories with nothing new to offer and only serving to gratify the overly sexual innuendos plastered all around the show itself.
The production isn't anything noteworthy either. Studio Zero-G may have both this show and Nihon e Youkoso Elf-san. a.k.a Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! to tackle with for this season, but once you get through the 1st 3 episodes or so, it's obscenely clear which show got the better priority and adaptation that it deserves. So much so that the studio has to hand it over to the smaller studio of Saber Works (formerly Digital Network Animation, which worked with Zero-G for Fall 2023's Konyaku Haki sareta Reijou wo Hirotta Ore ga, Ikenai Koto wo Oshiekomu a.k.a I'm Giving the Disgraced Noble Lady I Rescued a Crash Course in Naughtiness) to assist in giving the show the bare-bones treatment that is truly and literally mediocre at best. Yes, the show could've been produced better, but for what it is, the degrading animation unintentionally gives the show a worse outlook on offer, uncensored or otherwise.
Music is 110% forgettable, not worth any smudge of listening to. Though I'll give props to Nonoka Obuchi for creating a happy-go-lucky OP song that at least fits the show's narrative, Poka Poka Ion's ED is too lazy, slow, and uninspiring to ever make a dent in helping the show with its memorability.
Sorry HIDIVE, you've goofed on licensing both shows for your audience of degenerates that got a "so bad, it's good" reputation. At least Inukai knows its levels of outlandish degeneracy to try and commit outrageous situations in the name of borderline Hentai (which is why the show itself is a love-hate guilty pleasure). But as for S-Rank BeheNeko, I'd suggest that you're better off trying to watch fap material with Inukai instead, as even with its fantasy element (which is its only saving grace), it's just not enough to entice the Average Joe to give this the 3-episode rule.
Enough is enough with these boring, borderline sexual stuff. It's either you embrace it wholeheartedly and daringly...or just don't try at all.

This show is very similar to the spider Isekai which I enjoyed. It's also similar to the puppy anime and shares the flaw that the heroine wants to fuck the Mc. Other than that it's actually a great bog standard Isekai that might be better than the spider Isekai, as that devolves into cultivation tropes and the cg gets atrocious. Meanwhile the animation in this is beautiful and you have oodles of fanservice. For the plot a lot of Isekai has some horrible writing on why they get the gift or why they have to power down or everything but in this it's because of hisloyalty, dedication, and fear of isolation and is a very natural point. The actual Isekai simply is, and wastes no time on boring things like Stat allocation, he simply is an OP monster that has to hide to stay with his savior.
Music is there, nothing special but I hate anime music.
The harem feels a little forced but I like how the Smith or the Mc doesn't carry the heroine and you see a lot of party growth due to training and teamwork. The dragon is a mildly funny bit but the dryad and fairy are pretty forced. This is still head and shoulders above the standard.
Even though it's a harem show that explicitly states they can breed there is no romance which is judt weird. If there wasn't going to be degenerate acts why even write them in.
The fights are OK, it has an animation budget but it's a lot of canned animations or classic sword and board, nothing incredible that's a must see.
Same with the power system, he absorbs skills but they quickly sideline him to his base power set for 90% of fights.
The setting is bog standard but the world tree and Venice are nice enough.
Climax and resolution is bog standard as well.
The acting was fine, no complaints but I wasn't thinking about it.
Same with the dialogue, not as cringe as a lot of other titles despite how explicit it is.
So overall, it's just a well produced bog standard Isekai with heaps of well animated scenes and loads of fan service. The cat is cute and the girls cuter and it's just an enjoyable, if unambitious, watch.

This is a passable second monitor popcorn ecchi for when you're stuck at home sick for three days type of anime , and that's exactly how I wound up watching it. I watched this show to get some gainaxing up on the monitor while trapped inside with a cold - and it failed. If you like boobs and especially if you like static drawings of boobs then this is your anime - but if you like awesome animation with ridiculous amounts of jiggle and sway then this is probably not your anime because as cute as the story idea is and as copious as theboobery is the animation in this series is pretty low tier .. in other words this anime about boobs didn't even really animate the boobs , or much else. I feel like I am talking about boobs too much but I did just complete this series and frankly that's pretty much the one and only take-away from watching this - static images of massive boobs in bathwater , or static images of a super kitten knight nestling in cleavage , or static images of boobs bigger than the torsos they are attached to , or static images of a super kitten knight smushed between more than two boobs.To be fair the camera does pan across some of these static images at times. I watched it all the way through because I had a cold and was playing 2077 at the same time ... the characters and ideas were not horrible - they could have been good but wound up not really that good. I did laugh a lot - sometimes at the jokes - sometimes at the animation - sometimes at myself for putting the next episode on. I enjoyed the story although like most of this low tier ecchi stuff I wish it had been animated better - there were a lot of moments where the animation falls very very short of good. I can't really get down on this show too hard because it is exactly what I expected from some D tier boob service anime plop - you will get exactly what you came for and a little bit less. I'm kind of surprised that I made it all the way through as I often drop shows with animation on this level and go watch something else but I stuck this one out for some reason ... no I didn't stick around to see if she bangs the cat at the end. I couldn't help but notice that the character Beelzebuth was drawn significantly better than the rest of the cast - perhaps someone on the production team really liked that one character. There are much worse fan service animes out there .. this one is only gets a 'good' from me because I liked the story idea and it made me laugh when I had a cold. I wouldn't really go out on a limb and recommend this one to anyone - you could spend a lifetime watching better shows than this one. I think I wrote this review just to record the fact that I actually finished the series. Pretty sure that episode 13 would have been catentacle porn.

nahhhhhhh for sure you gotta pass this one, it was jebaited anime. you might think like i do that the cat is the main spotlight here but its not~~~, its like "you though it was cat but it was me dio!" kind of situation, cat's power progression scenes is basically cut off even though they show it but not much, same with the ecchi scenes not much, i mean i already know the thing where they grab you with "ecchi early, story later" and this one are thoooose ones but the 'story later" is so ordinary so generic that you can already predict what will happennext even their monologue n dialogue sooooo generic asf its like im watching a kids show honestly,
no matter what people will say or the anime itself will say, basically to me cat was just a side character and the elf girl is main character, plot is generic ass, character development generic ass, monologue n dialogue generic ass, character design generic ass, fight scenes are super ass, and the "ecchi early story later" way is generic AND it failed to delivered a good unique story, in short it was boring to watch
