What a great show. It's basically Lex Luthor vs Superman. The main character has a personal and a very powerful grudge against a man who is invincible, impossibly fast, impossibly strong and can fly. He is also the world's "Hero" and as such the main protagonist took upon themselves the role of the villain in order to defeat Superman. After years of battles they had their final showdown and inexplicably our villain time traveled back to his high school years, where he shared a class with the teenager who would become Superman. With this incredibly opportunity he swears to himself that he'll be victorious thistime. It's incredibly entertaining. The storytelling is tight and easy to follow which is helped by the great array of characters. Be it the villains, or the other villains, or the other other villains, or the heroes, or just regular people, they are all great. The character development is rather simple and predictable, but the personalities are so fun to watch it doesn't matter. There is action, there is drama, comedy, a few twists but most of all just unpretentious fun. The animations, effects, environments and character expressions are all great. Music is inoffensive. I had a blast. I went through this in one afternoon and now I'm left empty. I already miss the Aunt. What an angel. 8.4/10

This is a review from the perspective of someone who read the comic. The core plot remains unchanged, it is a very interesting and unique super hero story involving time travel with a villain protag. They changed a bunch of things around (Seems mostly minor) Most of the humor is gone which sucks. The teenager's designs are all changed, they now look like generic idols/models (Qiaoyi has the biggest changes because she's much taller and less childlike). Their future selves and other adult characters look very close to their comic counterparts with slight realism tweaks. The animation is amazing some scenes, terrible in others (It does flip flopscene to scene from bad to pretty good [I'm guessing the animator skill level varies greatly]). The intro theme is actually amazing too. The humor was one of the best parts of this series, that loss loses the 3 points. I would have preferred the designs left unchanged too because random pretty boy #32 is not interesting.
