Despite having no real combat talent, kind 15-year-old Kurt Rockhans belongs to the famous party Flaming Dragon Fang. He is perfectly satisfied as the party's helper—until the other members kick him out and replace him with a stronger ally. Left without a way to provide for himself, Kurt begins searching for a job. With his job prospects limited by his lack of combat ability, Kurt gladly accepts any work that comes his way. During one such job, he meets Yulishia, an adventurer formerly employed by the royal family. Surprised by Kurt's impressive work, Yulishia discovers that he is no ordinary boy: Kurt possesses an astonishingly high aptitude in a variety of non-combat fields. Due to these talents, a court official tells Yulishia to offer Kurt a high status in the kingdom that would allow him to live in peace for the rest of his life. When Yulishia informs Kurt about his potential rank, he brushes off the offer, refusing to think of himself as above other people. Still unaware of his real power, Kurt continues taking as many odd jobs as possible, which might just make him a pivotal part of the kingdom before he even notices it. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

KurTard: "Tell me, do you fear me LoliTa-rd?" Lying LoliTa-rd: "No, I even consider you a friend, and with that comes trust." Whoever wrote these lines, the retard-in-chief, forgot that the whole fucking premise of this fucking show relies on lying to the protagonist (KurTard) about everything to the point that they'd rather have a fucking illusion of him to replace him, than tell him the truth about his own talents. All the while everyone abuses this kid constantly for every possible gain they can get out of him, while he works like a peon for free. -------------------- So the trope of the "Dumbass hero" seems to be "in"right now with the cool kids over in Japan. Either that or someone just wants to feel better about his/her intelligence when they write and identify with the dumbass hero, because I didn't think it was possible to make a worse anime than Moonrise so quickly. The art is acceptable, the sound/music is garbage, the writing is on a whole new level of "by the committee" with absolutely nothing redeemable. But more importantly, the characters in this anime are some of the trashiest bunch I've ever seen. The protagonist himself is the definition of the "ultimate dumbass cuck". MC has no pride in himself, doesn't think he's good at anything because every person around him using him, never tells him the truth about any of his accomplishments throughout the show. He's way too fucking stupid to know how good he is, obviously, so that means he does these amazing things that can change the civilization of this world, without ever realizing what he's accomplishing. I guess the "fucking moron" is now a good character trait in Japanese anime industry for the male leads? The girls surrounding this guy are just creeps. This is a kid we're talking about and the girls seem suspiciously older (mentally especially) and obviously they have a crush on the kid (as is tradition). They want to ride his dick and dream about starting a family, especially when an actual fucking kid shows up calling him "papa" (as is tradition) in the most cringe way possible, calling another lying bitch "mama". You've seen this shit in a lot of anime. Little kids being made "ma and pa", which I'm guessing is done to inspire Japanese teens to fuck like rabbits, which doesn't seem to happen for some weird reason (I wonder why). In one of the shitty episodes, the older girl abusing this kid's trust, wanting to fuck him as well, takes him out on a 'date" where even while dreaming of dating and marrying him, she refuses to tell him the truth about his skills, while dreaming of fucking him. At one point the kid can actually heal someone instantly but the abuser with him refuses to tell him that, more worried about her date being ruined by him helping save a life than him healing someone. It's impressive how fucked up these characters are, says a lot about the writer and director of this shit-show. Every episode has the same shtick. There's a problem, boy-wonder KurTard comes up with a magically genius plan of solving it, everyone lies to him about his idea's effectiveness and the retard believes them, sulking again thinking he's just a low level pathetic twat. Rinse and repeat for 12 fucking episodes. This anime is 6.53/10 right now, while being a 1/10 anime, like Moonrise. Shit script, garbage characters, nothing redeemable. Just rate what these shows really are worth. You'll notice a lot of similar scripts being re-hashed with slight changes. They change the age of protagonists, some older, some younger. Slightly change the world and re-hash the same basic premise over and over again till something sticks enough to sell toys/plushies/panties to the horny men and women watching this shit. Designed by committee. 1/10
I really enjoyed this one. It’s a cute, fun, adventure. Now days I watch anime to escape reality, so light hearted adventures that aren’t too serious or heavy , are always welcome for me. Relaxes the soul. Definitely has some similarities to things like “Kid from the last dungeon boonies” and “I parry everything” in the sense that the main gimmick is the MC not knowing how strong he actually is. I thought this anime in particular did a good job of covering little plot holes that usually comes with those kinds of anime. If you’re looking for an easy going , light hearted adventure,to escape reality, definitely worth checking out imo Personal enjoyment 9 Characters 8 Story 7 Animation 7 Music 7 Voice acting 8 Humor 8 Able to escape reality and relax the soul 11 Overall score 8
Just completed it and it's 100% "meh." I needed something to fill in the gaps to do my "watch two different anime...." every day. That's 14 a week. So this was not in my top 5 or bottom 5. Right in the middle, and that's where it deserved to be. No "I wish there will be a season 2" as one season was enough. Animation was average at best, voice acting was good, but the plot was 100% cookie cutter and a clone of a dozen other "unaware that they are OP" protagonist series. You know the ones - everything the hero of thestory does is nearly god-like, amazing and awe-insuring, but the hero has no idea and thinks it's normal. But everyone around him is so honest and caring that nobody takes advantage of him. We've seen this how many times now? Yet he can't see through an illusion he basically created? Is this amazing but seems to have an IQ of 80? Each episode piles on more and more absurdities - past the point of "that's cool" past the point of "come on already" and solidly into "enough is enough already..." It's brain-numbing time killer that fills in the spaces between great anime and "why did I even watch this?" series - although it comes darn close to that. If you want action - skip it. Amazing fight scenes? Skip it. Slice of live with every adult woman having the hots for a 14 year old kid? It has that. Want to turn off your grey matter for 20 minutes or so? This will do it.
I honestly don’t even know what I watched. I can’t remember anything from the story—just the feeling of my IQ steadily dropping the longer I kept watching. I’d rather rewatch Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni. than sit through this again. I don’t know who thought the “clueless, low-IQ protagonist who doesn’t understand their own strengths” trope was a good idea, but this takes it way too far. I guess the writers don’t know how to craft real comedy anymore, so we’re stuck with bland, tasteless shows like this. I’d rather rewatch an anime I rated 5/10 than waste more time on this. To be fair, the animation issolid, and the voice actors were well chosen. But all that talent is wasted on such terrible writing. It’s a shame.
So you can't go into this show expecting anything great from it. It's not offensively bad, but neither is it very good. This show is one where you're just kinda along for the ride. The story has a lot of childish story beats, so I assume the target audience for this anime was somewhere around ages 8-12. Things I liked: - The show has some wacky moments that make you do the nose exhale. The show's comedy revolves around tropey romance jokes that have been told a thousand times, but a lot of the time you get to see it'smain drawing point which is how OP the main character, Kurt is. It's kinda funny considering he's completely oblivious the whole time to his strength. - Even though the show's animation didn't get a big budget I don't think I saw CGI throughout the whole show, which is rare for these lower budget animes these days. I found the break from it a nice change of pace. Things I disliked: - Like I said, this show seemed to be geared towards young audience members, but in a lot of aspects, it seemed like the show leaned too much into the kiddy stuff sometimes. I always appreciate a show that's meant for kids, but is entertaining for adults as well. Not to mention, the age of kids this is meant for should have better comprehension skills than what the directors are putting out and I feel like even as a young kid, my intelligence would have been insulted at times. Things like overly hammering home a joke or plot point seemed all to common throughout the season, so if they ever make a second one (which I doubt it gets) I would like to see it reigned in a little bit more with the overt dialogue and leave some things to interpretation. - The mystery behind the MC never gets answered, even a little bit. As the season continued, I kept hoping to see some backstory for Kurt and his village, but we never get it. I understand that the over-arching plot takes a back seat here, as I'm sure that's what the director intended, but it still would have been nice to see that plot point explored just a bit in this first season. - There's a character in the show who shows up twice as an antagonist and he just bothers the crap out of me. Mostly his laugh. He's supposed to be evil because he's evil as the trope goes, but I can't abide hearing "KuKuKuKuKuKuKuKu" one more time, man. Overall, I don't think the show is all that great. I wouldn't really recommend it unless you really like trash isekai/fantasy like I do. So if your looking for a straight up recommendation, I'd have to say, don't waste your time on it.
Just another typical anime with a bland overpowered cookie cutter hero, who is completely unaware about his actual might. We see him during his journeys and how he's acquiring the much needed harem on the way, plus some other support characters. He's also confusing always situations, where he played the pivotal role, thinking the others are great and giving them credit for the stuff he did. And of course none of his harem/extended family members bothers to tell him otherwise. Ever. Character design is rather basic as well, and animation are poor. At least it is fantasy, and no isekai. Only watch when you arereally bored and want to.
THIS REVIEW MAY NOT BE THE MOST CONSTRUCTIVE BUT IM PISSED BECAUSE I WATCHED 12 EPISODES OF THIS HORRENDOUS "COMEDY" SHOW I don't know if I'm being too harsh but this anime is literally about comedy and the comedy is straight trash and repetitive. The protagonist is the most boring and dumb mc ever, it's incredible how in every episode he jumps into conclusions that don't make any sense, conclusions that aren't even a bit right. It's so boring and repetitive the fact that in every episode he thinks he's useless and everyone around him say he's the GOAT but he says "nah I'm s**t" and goes withis life Continuing to be the most dumb mc ever. The fact that everything he does is perfect could be funny if it wasn't so stupid, bro can't dodge a leaf but when he needs to do something that isn't fighting he does flash steps, but I think the worst part is that he can heal everything and I mean everything, even curses, maybe even a person cut in half with his food......wow The animation is meh, romance meh-, fights meh-, mc friends meh, music meh-. Literally everything about this is meh. Almost forgot that this is a copy of "suppose a kid from the last dungeon blah blah(little orange hair OP kid who's very dumb and strong)" the difference is that this MC is weaker that a fly
At best, it's mediocre. The potential was evident, but the execution felt half-baked, as if it were made simply for the sake of it without any genuine effort. The animation sometimes feels awkward, remaining merely average. As for the soundtrack, including both the opening and ending themes, they are acceptable but not particularly memorable—although musical tastes vary. The characters seem standard and somewhat forgettable. I originally watched it because it is a chill anime, yet it becomes boring due to its lackluster execution. I was also excited about the possibility of underlying harem elements—a known trait in these types of shows—but the plot barely explores thataspect, giving only fleeting glimpses. It feels like a one-time watch. Perhaps it might work as background entertainment while doing other tasks, providing a way to pass the time. Otherwise, its slow pace may cause viewers to lose interest, even though I never stopped watching due to its lighthearted nature that suits my taste. Overall, it's a very average anime, and I doubt there will be a second season.
this is you standard chore boy get thrown out of elite adventuring party and was the glue that held it together. Kurt is as clueless as he overpowered it similar to Beast Tamer or suppose a kid from the last dungeon boonies moved to he starter town. although Kurt helpless in a fight and god like doing anything else the animation not the best, done by EMT squared but the art style and character designs are nice the English dub not too bad although the VA can be a little wooden and emotionless with some lines i enjoyed the anime but i am isekaiand feel good over powered Mc enjoyer one of the best part was the reaction of other character to Kurt overpowered abilities
The Unaware Atelier Meister — When the show literally spoils the plot for you right in the title itself...just forget that the tried-and-true trope of long titles exists, yes? In the current landscape of the AniManga industry, at least for the post-COVID season, there has been a landmark change in how the medium itself has been juxtaposed by bringing in new fans...which I'd rather term as literate brainrot fake "fans" who know no better about what anime used to be before it became the mainstream thing, to shit on people who have better intelligence and spoil the fun. Such is the case for the LN authorof Yosuke Tokino with Kanchigai no Atelier Master a.k.a The Unaware Atelier Meister, a show so ridiculous that it tries too hard to be the "jack of all trades" but literally ends up being the "master of none" when all is said and done. Meet Kurt Rockhans, the 15-year-old white-haired kid who has a pension like Winter 2021's Tatoeba Last Dungeon a.k.a Dungeon Boonies's Lloyd Belladonna, who is kind and hardworking towards everything he does with no complaints (if that's ever considered necessary at all). His time with the expected twist of being "booted out of the adventurer's party" with his Flaming Dragon Fang party is the usual business of his being belittled by the fellow members who disregard him because the naive and easily taken-advantage-of kid just couldn't keep up with them (let's just leave it at that). No matter, the young man must now find another avenue to raise his own keep and goes to an employment agency to find more work to do, though Kirshell, the clerk that always serves him, is dumbfounded at how he's being so efficient with his handy-dandy work, which is all by his own power that he's totally clueless and (literally) UNAWARE of. That brings him the attention of the silver-haired and dark-skinned adventurer of Yulishia, who is working for the high-ranking court magician Mimico in her magic experiments, who is the first to realize that Kurt may be someone dangerous in the long term, despite his naive and innocent look that just screams "misunderstandings galore." Therefore, Yulishia keeps him under wraps and takes him under her wing for the situations that she needs him to execute, like growing into being the elusive Atelier Master with none the wiser of what his role is actually like...because trying to talk sense to the low self-esteemed guy will never pan out to be good. And if you've already guessed it well enough, it's the sub-trope of "the MC being OP because of his/her unusual upbringing" that, depending on your tastes, could be a swing or a miss. You can already tell that from the basis of what the novelist was trying to depict Kurt as: he's not just a walking time bomb, but a ticking one as well if he ever bursts his own "knowledgeable logic" onto others, which will be the bane of the people around him if they ever try to negotiate anything against him. So, in the mortal words of Yulishia and the others that come across him (like the Kingdom of Homuross's same-aged 3rd Princess Lieselotte, who plays a huge role as a critical link between nations), they just decide to keep mum if Kurt ever breaks character and try to tame him like a dog. Because, to be honest, that's his role as someone who is meant to go with the flow, not be disrupted by mere instances like minor inconveniences that'll derail his otherwise "perfect" setting as the young man whose power surprises the speechless people, they let it seep the know-how as such. And though the cast of characters is huge in this one, like the Sakura party of siblings Sina and Kans, as well as leader Danzo, and a mysterious entity that only adds to the "hilarity" of Kurt and the various girls around him all romantically wanting a piece of his pie of innocence, it's just basically like Tatoeba Last Dungeon, but armed with a story that isn't front and centre, alongside characters that, let alone, are un-noteworthy either. It's like a baked pie that somehow has ingredients that are delicious on their own but gives off a rather bad aftertaste when all of them are put together. Out of the 3 EMT Squared shows this Spring, this show is by far the lamest and laziest effort from the studio. I mean, for a 3rd-rate studio like EMT, this is "perfectly acceptable" for the count as a "quantity first and quality second" work, but considering that this is in-house director Hisashi Ishii and his rather meek repertoire of works for the studio, his first breakout directorial stunt since the adaptation of novelist Kumanano's Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear series (alongside Yuu Nobuta) didn't quite set the road ahead right. Don't get me wrong, the anime looks fine and is serviceable, and considerably worse at times, but it isn't anything that's worth gushing any attention for. The only highlight I would give the show praise for is in its OST. Again, it's nothing good, but at least it gets the job done trying to invoke both serious and comedic sides of the pie, so you can tell where the show is trying to pitch the attention at certain moments in time. At least I can say that I've enjoyed both MeseMoa's OP and LOT SPiRiTS's ED for their debut Anisongs, as generic as they sound, but with a charm that I just can't put down for some fantastical reason. The only "unskippable masterpieces" I'll allude to give credit for as some of my new favourite Anisongs for the Spring 2025 season. At the end of the day, Kanchigai no Atelier Master a.k.a The Unaware Atelier Meister is just that: the aforementioned "jack of all trades and master of none." Seeing the success of the fantasy adventure comedy of novelist Toshio Sato's Tatoeba Last Dungeon and making something inspired by it isn't wrong; it's just the translation of trying to make something different, but not all too well at that, that defines how Yosuke Tokino assumes his audience to be with the brains of goldfish. Not a good sight if you ask me if this show is supposed to require you to be brainrotted in the first place, and worse, it isn't ever nuanced enough from the get-go. To the average Joe, this is an easy skip. Unless you are like me and can find some redeeming qualities in the mostly bad aspects of the show, you might still experience a sense of "enjoyment" from it.
This is a good anime to see in times of brain death. It easy, simple and feel good. The animation is week but the drawings are nice. It reminds me of "The Ossan Newbie Adventurer" in the fact than the MC is pathetically oblivious to his strength which makes it frustrating to watch when your mind is alert and sharp. On the other hand, on the other hand, watching this when your mind is foggy, this anime does the job. The absurdness of in acts as kind of a relaxing comedy relief. Basically, to get the most of this anime, you need to be in theright mindset.
The Unaware Atelier Master is a light-hearted and wholesome anime that brings together a fun magical world, charming characters, and a delightfully innocent main character. It was both fun and entertaining from start to finish, offering a relaxing watch with just the right amount of humor and heart. The main character truly stands out—innocent, kind-hearted, and completely unaware of the chaos he unintentionally causes around him. That pure and gentle personality makes him really likable and gives the show its warm tone. His interactions with others, especially his students and the townsfolk, are what give the story its charm. The animation is decent—not the flashiest, but itfits the soft and cute style of the show very well. One of the highlights is definitely child Akuri, who stole the spotlight in every scene she was in. She’s incredibly cute, joyful, and adds so much life to the story 🥰. While the plot is simple and doesn’t dive too deep into complex themes, it’s carried well by its characters and the calm, feel-good atmosphere. It’s a good anime for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some innocent magical fun. Overall, The Unaware Atelier Master is a very enjoyable series with lovable characters and cozy vibes. Definitely recommended for fans of slice-of-life fantasy with wholesome energy.
The anime has some good points but the shortcomings are too many and too grave for me to able to recommend it. It is a generic power fantasy but without an enjoyable MC to carry it. Instead he is pretty dumb and no one explains to him that he is overpowered for 12 episodes so he never improves. The story centers around Kurt being throw around an solving problems in over the top ways and then departs. If you're looking for a relaxed power fantasy that does not centered around the MC being a god of combat you might enjoy it.
I started this anime on 3rd April 2025, but since episodes were coming out weekly, I paused after watching just 2 episodes. Finally, on 30th June 2025, I binge-watched the rest. This anime falls under the fantasy, adventure, and comedy genre. Honestly, after watching the first episode, it almost felt like it was going to be about a construction worker or something related to masonry 🤣. Our main character, Kurt Rockhans, gets kicked out of his original party because of being completely useless in combat. But soon, he discovers that while he may not be good at fighting, he’s a master at support roles like repairingwalls, digging mines, and carrying golems — and not just that, he’s ranked SSS in those areas! I won’t spoil much, but even with a relatively simple and decent story, it turned out to be a fun watch. The anime includes light politics and some satisfying world-building. As season one ends, it leaves behind a small hook that makes me curious about the next season. Overall, it’s definitely a one-time watch anime, and if season two comes, I’ll be interested. ⭐ Rating: 6/10 from me
A funny ride of emotions from cute moments to cringe moments . This show is heavily inspired from "the kid who moved from boonies ". I marked this as mixed feelings because you can't argue with a typical isekai plot . so, better to watch without complaining , go with flow . One more thing don't watch these kind of shows back to back e.g you just completed a trash iskeai and started again watching same kind of sh!t . It has some serious drawbacks e.g mood disorders , you might hate these kind of particular plots , So, no need to finish in single sitting .Touch some grass or watch another genre .
I have been reading the manga for a few years and finally finished the anime. Without mentioning the manga, the show itself is okay as it did a decent job for an adaption attempt. The MC being the typical "lacking common sense" guy who is good willed to care about everything besides himself is within expectations? He is unreasonably OP but at least in this show, there are decent attempts at justifying why/what happens. Though the drawback is there are several moments we just have to "accept" this moment just because it's meant to be normal? Story wise it's okay but after watching several episodes, you'll eventually feel like itcould of been a lot better?
