Isshoni Training, or rather Training with Hinako, is supposedly meant to be an OVA to encourage shameless otaku into exercising whether it be actual exercising for them or just a good old hand workout. Story: What makes it even more hilarious is that there's an actual plot to it, if you can even call it that. The OVA actually starts off with a real life girl watching TV when she is suddenly sucked into it and is transformed into an anime character (Hinako). Of course we don't find out why this happens nor does it really matter. Not to mention Hinako is also a supporting actressin some mahou shougo anime as depicted in the ED. Art: The animation is simple. Nothing groundbreaking needed to show off a girl doing exercise while her breasts are jiggling up and down. Most of it is just loops of her doing the exercise but several of the loops at least have a different variation of clothing from her regular top and shorts to school gym wear (including bloomers no doubt) and her doing squats in her bra and panties. There are also closeup of her breasts at the end while she's doing some hopping shit. Sound: Uh... the bgm is simple enough? There's also some music playing for a half ass'd mahou shoujo ED. Hinako has the typical squeaky anime girl voice. They do have bouncing sound effects for her breasts if that counts for anything. Character: Hinako was sucked into a TV and transformed into an anime character when she was in middle school. Now she's 16 years old and is an actress. She totally digs exercising too and she's pretty hot and stacked for a 16 year old. Enjoyment/overall: Epic lulz factor is pretty high for this. Unless you're seriously intending on exercising while watching this, this is nothing more than blatant fanservice.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is the greatest masterpiece ever to foil this planets surface, behold Training with Hinako!. story 10/10 : a treasure amongst treasures, the amazingly complex and developed story made monster look like a walk in the part. But the true masterwork of this anime is its absence of repetitive content. Truly amazing. Art 10/10 : the beauty of this anime is out of this world, making the considered masterpieces of art in anime shiver before its greatness, none of them coming close to match its outstanding designs and realistic backgrounds. but the true secret of its beauty is the subtle and barely noticeableecchi. wonderful and complex art. sound 10/10: one of its best features, the sound. The awesomeness of it can only be truly seen as she counts her way up to twelve when exercising, this amazing voice acting is only backed with superb repetitive and generic music that really get you in the mood of the anime characters 10/10: Best character development i have seen in a long time, plus one of the most complex characters seen yet to anime, with all her counting-exercising issues, it makes you happy to live in such a trouble-less life and not be suck in her hell bent mind troubling world. the absolute of the magnificence of this character development arrives as she *SPOILERS* changes cloths wile doing the same exercises she did countless times before, quite the plot twist character-wise. enjoyment 10/10: it was marvelous, making you pass trough all sorts of states of mind, confusion, sadness, horror, awe, and finally happiness as she reached the end of her 12 repetition exercises in one piece. truly a masterfully well executed anime. worthy of any public regardless of age or sex. overall 10/10: a true jewel, a rare one of its kind anime who, dare i say it, might be the next best thing since mars of destruction.
Other bad anime is mentally painful, emotionally taxing. None can compare to what this affront to God does to you. After the beast was through with my mortal body, I lacked the the strength, no, the ability to move. All I could do was helplessly lie there as that demon wearing animated skin stared, proud of Its work. The only reason I still draw breath is due to the creature falling into a deep slumber, no doubt bloated on human suffering. I am permanently scarred by that monster. A twelve count causes me to lose all ability to function. In my nightmares, It starts thethirteenth push-up and my screams finally wake me up. You think you know fear. You haven't trained with Hinako.
Listen up, those of you who are interested in losing weight or are just perverted. If you actually follow the workout, it is pretty good for toning the body and burning some fat. It's a good workout for either just waking up in the morning or right before going to bed at night consisting of multiple sets of push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. But like in all ways of getting in shape doing this once will not give you the body of your dreams. If you want a body like Kamina or Yoko from Gurren Lagann you will have to make thisa daily routine doing it at least a few times a week on a regular basis to see results. After a little while you will be ready for cosplay at the anime expo. Hey you! Yeah you with the potato chips in your hand. Quit complaining! What better way is there to lose weight and watch a cute anime girl scantly clothed at the same time. This is what you get to look forward to in Isshoni Training... Definitely lots of bouncing boobies with her shoulder strap falling off so every time they bounce you think a boob might pop out. Hinako constantly changes her clothes from set to set going from her main workout clothes which are very short shorts and a tight top with spaghetti straps to a very tight school gym uniform to just bra and panties. So whether you are interested in losing weight or you are just perverted and only interested in seeing revealing anime girls, this is the show for you. So get off your butt, stop just staring at Hinako and wipe that blood dripping down from your nose and actually do the workout with her. There is kinda a story plot to it as well with some fighting but that's all I'll tell you about that... you'll just have to check it out if you want to see that part.
Normally I'd find this funny but I have to ask what where they thinking when they made this. The ending credits where more enjoyable.
Training with Hinako is basically just the same ten frames of this big-chested teenager doing push-ups in her underwear and counting aloud while crazy-ass Initial D music plays. If you like jerking off to girls doing push-ups and/or eurobeat music, this is the show for you. Hell, it's not even a bad way to learn to count in Japanese, honestly. If you want to actually get fit, though, I don't think this will really help you. That is, unless you can touch yourself and do push-ups simultaneously, in which case you're probably already in pretty good shape. STORY: Totally non-otaku girlwatching anime and eating chips gets sucked into her TV. You turn on your TV, she sees you, you make friends, she takes off her clothes and teaches you how not to be fat. Stupid? Yes. Ridiculously stupid? Yes. Original? Definitely. At least, if it's not, somebody ought to link me to whatever did it first. I'll give it a 5 for being so awesomely stupid. ART: Well, the art's not bad. It's not good, but it's pretty average. Personally, I don't like shows with "average" art. It reminds me of Squid Girl (yeah, this came first, whatever), and the art is one of the many things I don't like about Squid Girl. Anyway, I'd give it a 5 for being average, except that they reuse the same frames OVER and OVER and OVER again. The whole time she's counting to 30 and doing push-ups/sit-ups/whatever, they just use the same few frames for every single rep. Then they do it again, but she's in her underwear. Then she's in her gym clothes. It's ridiculous. I bet it takes longer to watch this thing than it took to animate it. 2 points because it's still better than some of the garbage that's out there. SOUND: I mentioned crazy-ass Initial D music earlier, and there's definitely a good amount of the stuff in here. There's also a lot of less cool, somehow goofier stuff. None of it's exactly memorable, but it's kind of fun. I'll give it a 4, for below average, because with most shows I can at least remember what the OP/ED sounded like after hearing them 5 times in one half hour. CHARACTER: The characters were Hinako and myself. I love being included, so two points just for that, and one more point for Hinako's tits. The personality behind said tits can basically be summed up as "tits." There's really nothing else to say about her. If you like tits, you'll like Hinako, but you probably won't like her as much as most other anime girls who have interesting lives and personalities as well as equally nice tits. 3 points. ENJOYMENT: It was mildly amusing for a while, but it got old after about 10 minutes due to it being the same exact thing over and over. I'll give it a 4, because frankly, even though more than half the anime was boring and redundant, I still made it to the end, and I still kind of want to watch it again sometime (or at least a few minutes of it) just for how ridiculous and goofy it is. OVERALL: 5 + 2 + 4 + 3 + 4 = 18, 18/5 = 3.6 ~ 4. 4/10

((Same as Issho ni Training Ofuro: Bathtime with Hinako & Hiyoko and Issho ni Sleeping: Sleeping with Hinako)) Well, this is one of the perverted shows that sometimes come from Japan. It’s not hentai… although it really should be. The only real people who would be buying this would probably be very, very lonely men with much to much time on there hands who will wack off to cute little girls that look a bit to young. The artwork and camera angles are only to show these strange little angles for a ‘better view of the training’… ya right. No girl in their right mind wouldlet the camera get these angles if it was not to turn the viewer on. Now on a lighter note, yes… the artwork is beautiful, just used highly to sexualize her is all. Her voice is annoying as well, the cutesy little high pitch squeak. I really could not stand most of this.
Training with Hinako is obviously some kind of ecchi anime, thus I went into it with really low expectations, but to my surprise, it actually starts off somewhat unoffensive. The story starts off with our main character Hinako, getting sucked into a TV, and then breaking the fourth wall by talking to all of the viewers, which came off super charming. However, it quickly devolves into what it really is, an ecchi tape disguised as a workout video. We are soon treated to clips of Hinako working out, and counting reps. Meanwhile, the camera is, naturally, focused on her boobs & butt. The way they present theseexercise routines in terms of the story is pretty decent in the first half, having a little dialogue before & after the workout. However, eventually this just becomes a collection of bonus footage of Hinako counting reps and wearing different outfits without any dialogue in-between. This became painfully mind-numbing, and was really difficult to sit through. Anyway, Hinako is a very generic anime character. Even if they do have the conceit of her being somebody who was sucked into a TV, she still acts like the majority of empty-headed, ditzy, cute anime girls out there, and doesn't have any kind of defining personality traits, leaving her as a very standard and forgettable character. As for the art and animation, it's passable, as is the sound design and the music, but all of it comes off as kind of sub-par, and once again... generic. Overall, there isn't much originality to anything in this OVA, aside from the initial premise. However, the creators also fail to capitalize on that initial set-up, and thus the whole thing ends up feeling kind of unfulfilling and empty. Then, after they abandon the story, they give you 15 minutes of bonus footage, that I ended up sitting through, hoping that perhaps there was more at the end. There wasn't. This wasn't very enjoyable as a whole, but the beginning is kind of funny, even if it's still not very good at all. However, If anybody wants to watch this out of curiosity, I recommend you only watch it for the first 10 minutes or so and then just shut it off, the rest is not only bland, but absolutely pointless.
Okay, what the f*** did I even watch? And why the hell should I write my first MAL review about this one? Well, maybe to encourage and embrace the idea behind this OVA. So first the good point, as intimated: The idea. I like it when anime is also used as a medium for education or some other useful stuff. So giving some instructions on basic muscle training is a really good idea and I must say, as someone who does also work out, that the way Hinako did her training is quite accurate, for example how you do sit ups correct (don't use everythingelse than your stomach muscles!) and holding the head straight while doing push ups. But well, thats it ... unfortunately, the focus often lies on some secondary sexual characteristics rather than on more details about the training techniques itself. So one has to say that ecchi uses literally too much space in this show. Sometimes, only cute girls aren't enough, so mark my words, future sports anime creators! Okay, thats it, but as I said, I really embrace the idea and hope for more serious approaches of this concept in future. But even Hinakos training may be enough to motivate some lazy otakus out there to work out and do something for the own health. So for this reasons, I'll give this show a really good meant 4/10. Thank me later for one of the few serious reviews about "Training with Hinako".
OKAY- BEFORE YOU THINK THAT THE RATINGS ARE ODD- Listen to what I have to say. I really love the "Hinako" character. The character. That's it. I kinda enjoyed the anime, but that's because I'm stupid, and enjoy stupid things. :D Story: Too bad there's no 0 for rating, or that's what I'd rate it as. Really, it's just Hinako excersizing. Well, she talks for afew, but afew the first 5 or 10 minutes, she stops talking and just excersizes. Art: I gave it a 7 because I like the style, but the animation part of it was really repetitive. D: Sound: There wasn't alot of background music oranything, but Hinako's voice was cute. But mostly she was just counting while excersizing. Character: As I stated before, I actually do like the Hinako character. So I did give her a 10. Enjoyment: 7. Would have been lower if I wasn't so stupid as to actually somewhat enjoy this even though it doesn't make sense. Overall: 4. It was okay, but really, don't waste your time unless you can't find a good anime.
Today, I decided to challenge myself. I may have got an A in P.E. class last semester, but workouts bore me to no end. I can listen to music or browse the Internet on the treadmill, but sometimes I drop my phone and that's no fun. (Pretty sure I already broke the internal recording audio thingy from dropping it too many times.) Suddenly, I had an idea. What if I could be more motivated to exercise if a cute anime girl would do it with me? I'd known about this "Training with Hinako" OVA for quite a while, and maybe it was the answer to my prayers. Iate my pre-workout snack (cinnamon roll flavored protein bar) and eagerly clicked "Play". STORY (4/10): Training with Hinako's plotline is paper-thin - a girl named Hinako gets sucked into her TV one day and becomes an anime character because...plot. (I'd really like to see a psychological version of this where Hinako struggles with herself and starts to have a mental breakdown over becoming an anime character. Or maybe she's actually in a coma! The theories are endless...) She's starring in a new anime, but she's been told she needs to lose 5kg or they'll cut her part. (Classic example of the 'Hollywood Pudgy' trope - Hinako is far from needing to lose 5kg.) She'll also call you a little chubby (which I am not, thank you very much - Oprah thinks this will be the year of my best body, which to me means getting more muscle on my frame) and asks you to do weight-training with her. So, yeah, Training with Hinako lacks a substantial story. But really, that's like complaining there was no substance to the story in your Richard Simmons tape. ART (6/10): The artwork to Training with Hinako isn't half-bad - the boob physics and booty close-ups get a little ridiculous if you're legitimately trying to work out, though. SOUND (5/10): The music's barely worth mentioning. The voice actress for Hinako does a decent job, and the boob-jiggling has its own special sound effect. Lovely. CHARACTER (5/10): Hinako is the only character in the OVA we see, but those five minutes or so we get of her character development are decent. I'm sure she's somebody's waifu, which is what they were going for. ENJOYMENT (5/10): Believe it or not, Training with Hinako is a decent basic workout. I couldn't keep up with the supposedly out-of-shape girl at times, which I'm just going to blame the video on to save myself embarrassment. The second half gets very repetitive, and the timers are confusing. I was on the floor utterly confused and changing positions as fast as possible. "Why are we doing so many push-ups? How many different outfits do you feel the need to wear while doing the same set of push-ups?" Towards the end Hinako stops exercising and sits in some suggestive positions while counting. I assume this is the point where the stereotypical otaku is supposed to stop exercising and start...y'know. OVERALL (5/10): Lack motivation to exercise and like anime boobies? Maybe Training with Hinako is your video. If you were one of those weird kids who freeze-framed your mom's workout videos whenever she left the house, this is even better. Are you pretty good at exercise already? Try an Insanity video or something. This will likely bore you. Don't want to exercise and just want to admire the...artwork? Sorry if I disappoint you, but this is only PG-13. You're on the Internet, you can find something better.
Since I reviewed the infamous Sleeping with Hinako, I figured I might as well review the other Hinako OVA that I've seen, Training with Hinako, just so I never have to think about it again. Now, whereas in Sleeping with Hinako, I only saw that because I watched a reaction video to it, this one I only watched because I had heard it was really bad. While this isn't the worst thing I've seen...it definitely is one of the stupidest. This is basically an anime version of one of those exercise videos you see - you know, one that your mom or dad has.Except it's most likely for a different "type" of exercise for certain anime fans. It's basically Hinako doing push-ups, pull-ups, etc. I actually kind of understand the existance of this, because of games like Wii Fit, Kinect Sports, etc., but that doesn't change the fact that it's stupid. Animation and sound are passable - they aren't terrible, but they aren't good, either. Nothing really stands out, so I can't talk about them. The only character in this OVA is Hinako - well, technically, the viewer is a character as well, since this is from someone's perspective. However, Hinako has no personality - she's literally a ditzy pair of boobs. I'm not kidding. Obviously I didn't enjoy this, and, to be honest, I don't understand why anyone would want to watch this. This obviously isn't meant to be a serious exercise video, since they choose to make every shot extremely fanservicey, so it can't be meant to replace an exercise video. And there are tons of better shows out there that offer just as much, if not more, fanservice than this, so there's no real audience for this show. Alternative recommendations: Playing the Wii Fit video games, joining a gym
( This is my first review >w< also, sorry for my bad english ) Isshoni Training... this anime scarred me for life.. The anime revolves around a 16-year-old girl named Hinako who was once human until she was transformed into an anime character when she was in middle school. Now she stars in an exercise video that teaches the audience how to perform push-ups, sit-ups, and squats cause she basically thinks you're too fat. It started out pretty normal, Hinako starts exercising the first few minutes, while her boobs almost fall out of her clothes. This repeats for almost 16 minutes, the same animation keepsshowing, but sometimes she changes clothes, or takes off some clothes. The same goes for the looped background music, which only changes 1 time during the anime. But then it happens.. something breaks inside of Hinako, she transforms..into something different. For some reason she just stands there only bouncing her boobs...after that she just lies down on her bed.. counting... what is she counting for? when will she stop counting?!! while you question your existence, Hinako keeps staring into your soul..just counting... and the video basically ends with that. In the end i really enjoyed it, i havent laughed at something so much in a while.
I really loved the Issho ni training anime. The story isn't that good but Hinako and her lovely body are a definite fix for the story line. I even found myself working out along with Hinako and by the time I realized what I was doing I had already gone through half the program and just decided hey lets finish up. I think the anime is a great and would definitely tell others to check it out.
I won't sugarcoat it: this is the worst anime, possibly the worst video ever, that I have ever watched. Story-1/10 Training With Hinako is basically twenty minutes of watching the character's boobs bounce. So there isn't even a story anyway. Plus, this ONA is just repeated scenes of Hinako doing excersizes and the camera always shows her boobs or butt. Art-3/10 The only reason I did not give a 1/10 for art is because all you pervs on this site might actually enjoy it. But, the only part of the art that the animator put effort in was the jiggly of her boobies. Anyway, most of the scenesare repeated but with different outfits. Sound-1/10 The character has this high pitched voice that is even worse than Justin Bieber. It is sooo sugary, and my ears were like bleeding. Then, half the time you hear her horrific voice slowly counting from one to twentyfour as she does push-ups and squats. It is so incredibly dull, boring and torturous. Character-1/10 I didn't know it was physically possible to have only one character, but somehow they pulled it off. Probably because there is no plot. Anyway, Hinako is basically made for weebs to fap to. As I said, her voice is horrible. They put no effort into creating her other than her clevage and dat ass. Enjoyment-0/10 I know there is no 0 option for ratings, but this anime was literally that bad. There is literally nothing in the world that is more unenjoyable than this. Please, heed my warning: UNLESS YOU ARE A TOTAL WEEB THAT PLEASURES IN WATCHING ANIME GIRLS' JIGGLY BEWBS (which most of you are) THEN NEVER, EVER WATCH THIS!!!!!!!!!!! EVER!
Thanks to Akidearest who mentioned this anime, I managed to watch this properly afterwards. Honestly I've seen way better fitness anime than this utter crap and it even doesn't have to be in the late 2000s to have such crap dialogue involving a shrieking voice of an anime girl. No offense to Mai Kadowaki who voiced the character, I honestly think she shouldn't have played a young girl in this. I know it's not her fault for being part of this but whoever was more involved in creating the anime, didn't have their heads screwed on with realistic creativity. They could've at least tried to addother characters other than Hinako because then it mightve changed people's perceptives. Same time it might not have not made any difference, it's just rubbish anyways... Yeah just don't watch this anime if you're gonna be easily irritated like I was while watching it...
In "Training with Hinako", Hinako was once a person, but somehow, she gets sucked into the TV and gets turned into an anime character. After noticing you watching her, she is surprised since she hasn't seen an actual person in a while. So she decides to interact with you, by calling you pudgy and saying that doing some training could help the both of you. Sitting through this, I didn't expect it to have some actual plot. I was expecting the anime to pretend that you were friends with the cute girl who would like someone to train with because she secretly has a crush onyou as well as you having a crush on her, or it being a training video with the trainer being something to look at while you're using this as the laziest exercise video in existence. Instead, Training with Hinako has this weird meta story to explain it's existence. I guess it's something different, which is nice. After the first few minutes of introducing the character and the exercises that she, and what your supposed to do along with her if you're not just being lazy, will be doing the rest of the OVA. It also features Hinako wearing different clothing throughout the OVA, but all of them are worn very briefly (bah-dum-tish), and it doesn't actually show her changing it and out any of the clothing presumably because that would have been time consuming and would have gone over the meager budget, it will just cut to her wearing something different in the same shot. The fact that there is more than one set of clothing is a minor miracle, because I wasn't expecting her to appearing anything else to begin with. Also, in between the exercising, the OVA is broken up by joke credits, featuring scenes from a magical girl series featuring Hinako that doesn't exist. That's probably due to the fact that the DVD has some minor interactivity, allowing the viewer to rearrange scenes. Would I recommend "Training with Hinako"? Yeah. It's cute, but not annoyingly cute. Sure, it's not wank material, but I expect it to appeal to someone. It might not have the variety or quality of something like (Makura no Danshi ENG: Pillow Boys), but it's remarkably well put together for what it is, and seems to be earnestly trying to be enjoyable. It's not going to be for everyone, but I imagine someone getting something out of it.
[Specialty: Fan-service + exercise] I read Terminator's review, agreed with some parts of it but some info should be added as well. Ok, this OVA is basically like the American exercise vids in the past, only that this is in anime form. The American vids I saw also feature busty women doing exercises like running treadmills etc. Simply put, this OVA starts with a standard procedure of push ups-> sit ups -> squats. Then later on they keep repeating the same scenes, only with different clothes and camera angles. Tank top with shorts, bikini pe attire . Then, more fanservice not related to exercise... I think the ending wasjust counting numbers? I watched 6 min sub the rest raw, but the vids on youtube were kinda confusing so I may have gotten the order wrong. Start exercising! PS. I didn't exercise while watching the show, so it was kinda boring >_>.
