Masaya is a university student, who works as a home tutor part-time. One day, he receives a parcel. That is a notebook. He frowns when he reads a letter, which is also in the parcel. It says, "If you write a girl's name in the notebook, you'll be able to control her as you like." He thinks it is ridiculous at first, but he decides to give it a try. The name he writes is Yumi, his student.... As a result, it comes true, and he shags with her. "This notebook is proved to be real. I can now have fun with it...." •Do you like Death Note? •Do you like hentai? •Do you like fapping? Well, you're in luck! Before we get started, let's get this fact out of the way, this is a hentai and as such, don't expect anything groundbreaking in its plotting or character involvement. Once you've seen enough hentai titles, you've practically seen them all. Aside from the occasional deviation, you're bound to see commonalities here that you've seen elsewhere. While some hentai titles might try a little more than others, it's safe to say that no one is really watching them for a compelling narrative. So with that said, the real question is what makesDream Note stand out? Out of the endless abyss of blackmail setups, schoolgirl rooftop humping, and curious tentacles, where does this one differ? What about this hentai as oppose to the rest of other candidates I've seen was compelling enough for me to think a review was warranted? Well, to be honest, there's really only one thing, and that's its "coincidental" parallels to the popular anime series Death Note. Our protagonist, Masaya, is a tutor that's out to do more than just teach, as he also wants to give his pupils hands-on training in biology.. you know, for "educational" purposes. One day, he obtains a magical notebook that helps him do just that. This notebook allows him to control the actions and responses of women at will. So of course, being the responsible and respectful young adult that he is, he took the only logical course of action with this new found power... fucks hella bitches! The victims of his passionate tutelage range from your milfs to token tsundere, with each shag attack taking place in different locations to spice it up. May that be him paying a home visit to deliver the D, a stroll through the woods while he offers his wood or a little joystick ride at the local arcade; the dedication he has to piping down the women he encounters is quite admirable. With the amount of passion our protagonist demonstrates, it saddens me to say that it doesn't transfer into boner-inducing results. There are a number of things needed to make a hentai title "faptastic", perhaps the most important is the art and animation... and unfortunately the animation of Dream Note is as stiff as the MCs trouser snake. At times, it feels like you're watching a college student's homework assignment, with characters moving awkwardly across the screen, The protagonist jabbing back and forth like a flip-book sketch. This is made even worse by the uninspiring art, which displayed very paint-by-number character designs. So while you'll walk away with an interesting title under your belt, you might also be more flaccid than a deflated balloon desperate for someone to blow it up. So before you dim the lights, turn your volume to 10% and grab for that box of Kleenex, I suggest just watching this for the experience and nothing more. Overall: 3/10 Outside of seeing Lite Yagami shag women with the power of his 'dream note', there really isn't anything else that this hentai title can offer. But at the very least, you can say that you saw "Death Note: Fap Edition"... and at the end of the day, isn't that cool enough?
Well...I have to give this a kind of low rating, it should probably get a lower rating. It does have some redeeming qualities. If it was an anime rather than a hentai, it would get a 3 rather than a 4. It's the same concept as Death Note. What he writes in his note book happens, but, it's weak in that the sex scenes appear normal. If you weren't told this was all written in a supernatural notebook, and that's why it's happening, you would never guess really. The women don't appear hypnotized, the backgrounds never change, no supernatural aura. Nothing special in that way;quite the opposite. The censoring was quite severe as well. Some very harsh mosaic censorship. Though you could tell what was going on unless you're completely blind and like most hentai, it features extremely excessive cum. Also like most hentai featuring rape, there are virgin females, and the blood is excessive. I literally said in one of the scenes, "It looks like she just got shot," maybe the most blood I've seen in a hentai for just breaking a girl's hymen... The drawings were not bad, but, the animation was at times bad. I wouldn't say completely avoid it, you might find something you like about it. However, know it is far from great :|
