What?! A hentai with a PLOT?! The world is coming to an end!!! Oh, no, we're just watching Bible Black. The first time I heard of this anime, people spoke of it with hush-hush tones and said it was beyond words and they can't even begin to describe how devious and 'o_O' it was. So then I watched it and I was like, 'Wtf? Was that person a noob?' because Bible Black is actually not as incredible as it was made out to be, but it was actually quite decent. I suspect it is a little racy because of the Satanic worship and some ofthe torture, but I have seen Nightshift Nurses, my friends, and I shall never be the same ever again. My poor fabulous brain...
So the story is good, the art is actually very good, the sound is so-so, the characters are bland. Really, they're all bitchy or assholes or victims--that's not a personality.
Bible Black is revolutionary. It's probably one of, if not, the most popular hentai franchise out there. And I must say, it actually stacks up there to compete with regular anime. It only remains unfabulous because of certain one or two things. But other than that, watch this, it's good.

There are few masterpieces that leave their marks on people, especially in pornography. Interesting art style for the time, unlike the typical Trigun-ish or Clannad-ish look that most hentais had. Now that's not to say I didn't enjoythem too. As I enjoy saying, hentai must be both an intellectual, physical, and philosophical experience. That is to say, both of your heads must enjoy it (if you catch my drift). Of course, there are some that don't fit all three criteria, or do them very poorly. I assure you, even those are hentai, they're a lesser form. Think of it this way, Belphegor in comparison to some lesser demon like an imp. Who would you rather have on your side? Obviously some demon general powerful. Same rule applies to hentai, the hentai that fulfills this trinity is king.
Where was I? Ah yes, the trinity. Anyway, before viewing this, I was naive. A simpleton, really. I had only watched a few hentais, and they were hard to come by in the early 2000s. This hentai begins quite normally, they all have sex with men, and... make them... jizz in a... cup? What? Interesting. My mind began to become unsettled and stir. This was something unexplicable, something... something insane. Something noteworthy. Anyway, long story short, the women that get stabbed with the men's reproductive organs instead get stabbed with a knife and sacrificed to Satan or Belphegor or something like that. Hentai is truly versatile. Because of these ritualistic, raping scenes, and somehow an actual coherent plot, I wouldn't classify this as a hentai, more something like an HBO or AMC television series.
Now at this point, she's sacrificed to some demon or devil or some higher power (or lower power, since Hell is...below... nevermind). My mind is blown at this point, much like the penii of several of the men. Did I mention that the men are different and that the hentai strays away from the typical 1 man fucks all cliche? It's really weird, typically it's like a buffet where the main character can fuck as many girls as he wants, how he wants, whenever he wants, whoever he wants, pretty much given divine powers over the hearts of women. If Yugioh were about the Heart of the Women instead of the Heart of the Cards, this would be the apt hentai adaptation.
What my 10 year old self didn't know, however, was that my mind was about to be blown again. This girl walks over to this other girl and whips out a penis. What? That can't be a penis. It's obviously a fake or some type of magic strap on thing. But then she ejaculates all over the other girl and puts it back in her panties. Really, these guys should go pro in Counterstrike or something since they've blown my brains so many times.
If you've watched How I Met Your Mother, there's this one main character, or I suppose, the main character, who loves pretentiously quoting the first part of the Divine Comedy by Dante. I have no doubts that this hentai will be discussed in hentai discussions just as much as Dante's work is discussed in the next thousand years.

Bible Black is a Hentai that takes sex and violence to a whole new level. There's more psychosis, stabbing and dry ass fucking in here than an average anime watcher would be able to cope with for the remainder of their lives. Yet chillingly enough you don't even notice that because the story is clever in justifying every immorality by victimising the villains or otherwise coming up with some cool story only to have said villains aggressively invade someone's rectum in the very next scene. Very very clever. But let's not get ahead (get a head lol) of ourselves and start with the story. BibleBlack revolves around Taki Minase, surprisingly the protagonist AND antagonist of this Hentai. Seemingly your average high school dude with friends, a childhood crush and potentially a good future. At the start of the series Minase finds himself a magical book that bestows potent seductive powers to its user. Hardly any time passes and our seemingly average Hero starts casting his magic left and right, sliding in and out of multiple women like a fucking bishop in chess.
And that's when the psychotic plot just lets loose. It's not enough that we have plenty of neurotic characters like our "protagonist" or the chicks in the cast but also the themes here will seriously shake you up. Demons with retractable dicks, men getting turned on by women who just brutally stabbed them (although in all fairness any straight man has the ability to be guilty of this one) and more rape than you can shake a stick at.
But the story is genuinely intriguing. The origins of the magical book and the events that surround the place where Minase found it (The night of the walpulgis) is captivating and will make you want to see more. The whole cast will shift places going from villains to victims and vice versa multiple times having done some immoral shit at one point or another in the series, showing just how fragile human nature can be.
But then again this is a Hentai and you're probably not here for the story anyway and thinking "quit stallin' is the sex gud or no!?". Yeah it is. Very good.
In fact, even for 2001-2003 standards this Hentai is probably among the best when it comes to production quality AND sheer innovation. Most Hentai series will feature a 3 second animation (if you're optimistic) looped over a minute or so with slurping sounds that resemble someone speed eating a whole bowl of spaghetti carbonara. Well Bible Black offers high quality animation with constantly changing angles and realistic sound effects & voice acting.
But the quality isn't the only thing. The style itself is very appealing, the positions featured will make any connoisseur drool and the circumstances surrounding certain sex scenes here have the ability to induce arousal in rocks and starfish. They're good.
The enjoyment of this Hentai is something that will be highly relative to the watcher. If you're not into rape or anything remotely immoral you will still enjoy the general plot and the mystery that surrounds it but you'll be missing out on a huge chunk of this series, which is after all, sex based. If on the other hand you're a deviant of this sort of thing then have no fear friend. Close your doors, close your windows, hide yo kids and wife, tell the mail man to deliver the letters to your neighbour and have fun!
I myself enjoyed it for what it is. A tale of realistic human nature that is not afraid to venture deep into the rabbit hole... all while people get ass fucked by demons with retractable dicks.

Bible Black has, in my oppinion, the best story a Hentai can get. It's easy to figure out how great and how much fun Bible Black is, when u see the first episodes and all the other seasons. This Hentai has got 16 episodes (if u add Origins, New Testament and Only.)
The story in "La noche de Walpurgis" is about Taki Minase, who found a book called "Bible Black". The black magic freak Saeki (later with some helping hands at her side) tries to get that book from Minase. Minase later joins with the school nurse Reika Kitami, who also joins Saeki, to perfrom a ritual, and the sacrifice seems to be Imari Kurumi, Minase's childhoodfriend.
It's very hard for me not to spoiler anything so i guess, i stop writing more about the story right now.
To score the story, i'll give it 10/10!

The art is... OUTSTANDING! The bodies of the characters all look simply stunning and amazing you just need to check out the spectacular artwork (of course only, if you'r 18 years or older, then you should do what i say :D.)
And if the art is awesome, then it's something like a "law" that the animations are also perfect and how perfect they actually are! Bible Black came out in 2001 and showed the other Hentais how the job should be done! Every scene is detailed and jus' awesome animated.
The sound is also great. For example, the voice of Hiroko Takashiro (my favourite by the way) is THE Futami, Nagisa who also dubbed Misako Amamiya from Taboo Charming mother. You really can't complain at the voices from the JAPANESE(!) version, because they all fit perfectly with the characters. But the english and specially the german is something you really shouldn't mention at this point.
So, Art&Sound: 10/10!

DEEPNESS! That's all i can say. Bible Black is the Hentai with the best chraracter backgrounds. If u watch Bible Black how they relaesed it (means La noche de Walpurgis->Origins->New Testament->Only) then you'll see, what i mean. Minase may be one of the main characters, but when it comes down to Hiroko Takashiro and Reika Kitami, then you'll just get stunned! Also, when you see the "change" from Imari hmm or Kitami(?) in New Testament. And yes, i try not to spoil anything :)
The Soundtrack of Bible Black is also perfection. Bible Black has got a very dark atmosphere and the soundtrack fits perfectly with that. Some may say it's standart, but since i've got some Tracks from the "OST" on my MP3 Player, i say, that is is just like the rest: MAGNIFICENT!

I've played the game. I've watched Bible Black (currently i'm watching NT.) I've bought a figure of my favourite Hiroko Takashiro. I love Bible Black.
Bible Black is the perfect example of how a Hentai should be done. The story is not only "there" no, it has a very important part and is perfectly combined with the sex scenes. And why is Bible Black so outstanding? Read my review. But to be specific: The OST is awesome, the art and animation is the best you can imagine in the whole Hentai world, the atmosphere is surrounding you, while you watch it and when it comes down to the sex scenes, then Bible Black fills every needs. There is everything from Yuri to tentacles to schoolgirls, MILF's, Futa EVERYTHING!
So in my personal oppinon: Bible Black is my all time #1 in the Hentai and Anime category. There's nothing that can top Bible Black. That's the truth. And nothing but the truth.

Sometimes when I get an erection I like to ask myself, "Well this is embarrassing, hope no one sees! I know what to do!" And then I put on Bible Black and then am utterly disappointed that it wasn't a ghetto retelling of the Passion of The Christ with Samuel L. Jackson(FUND THIS). When a hentai is made I like to ask myself what the maker plans to do when they decide to dub their work of 'art'. The man behind such a task must have been deaf in this scenario. I remember my first experience with the dub, (now personally I enjoy subsmore, mainly to sound like a sophisticated American.) The intro scene equates to the sound of fisting a mayonnaise jar with a rat and an occasional Satan worship thrown in to give it that fresh 'culty' feel.
The introduction of the main antagonist of the franchise is done rather well as she mind controls possibly the worst outfitted schoolgirl in all of Glorious Nippon (who the fuck thought nipple buttons was a good idea?) Bible Black does a great job at making you sympathize for the rapist over the victim, it's the green hair, I fucking hate vegans. The demon dick futa is quite possibly the best written character in this entire series next to the goatee guy in the sequel. Goatee's get me harder than a cat in heat.
The series ends in the most stupidest way ever and I'm glad there was a rimjob scene right after because it solidified how I felt after trudging through two and a half hours of "OH BABY IM GOING TO CUMMMMMM" I swear throughout half this anime there is a rather large set up for some Futa on male but you never get that, especially when there's a one scene of a male fingering session. I guess I just ask to much when I jump into Futanari themed cultist animes.

Why...why is this rated so low...? It makes me quite sad. This was one of my first hentai actually, or what I remember being my first quality hentai. This is like my standard for all hentai, "hmm, that was pretty good...still sucks compared to Bible Black". There is nothing better than Bible Black. Bible Black is perfect because it simply has everything. It has a solid story, somewhat simple, but a plot doesn't need to be so complex to be good. The characters also have a fair amount of sophistication. I became invested in the characters like I would in an anime. The magic in theshow was also creative. It was, imo, more realistic rather than fantastic...hypersexualized maybe, but more realistic than what you see in most anime.
Bible Black came out in a time of clunky animation, thick wobbly lines, and horrendous coloring. Finding Bible Black in the early 2000's was like finding a truly rare gem.
The animation was fluid, the art was absolutely gorgeous, and there was a pretty much perfect balance of dialogue and sex. It was the first hentai to make me like futa!
Tons of anal and futa, and plenty of vaginal sex and blowjobs.
Those are the reasons I like Bible Black, everything stated above. Great story, great characters, great art and animation.

Where do i begin :) well i would have to start with the fantastic character design i mean the drawing of the BOOBIES is fantastic i gave me a raging Bon£r which added to the overall experience. The story is very deep for that of a hentai, The idea of girls growing dicks and raping other girls astounds me its a pure burst of creative genius that really rejuvenated my belief that their could be a hentai with such a dramatic story line. The characters really make a deep impact upon you and you will really feel attached as the story and plot thicken intoa white creamy mixture. This attachment that is created between the watcher and the characters is quite the emotional experience. The most memorable scene for me has to be when the student's all take turns raping the teacher the overall experience of this scene is just fantastic all the stops have been pulled from the great sounds to the amazing art work it truly was an experience i will never forget. 9/10 I liked this H-Anime since i did, besides the sex scenes, finally enjoy the plot of an Hentai. It is a Mystery/Horror Genre which gets pretty Exciting. Besides that the Animation is just really GREAT, same like the Character Design. The sex scenes and Bodys are very detailed and smooth. Also the male characters look sexy, alot of muscles for the girls :3 The "Satanistic Sex Scenes on pentagrams are really arousing, gangbang, futanari, anal, very special but enjoyable stuff in here. What i didn't like were the scenes with blood but i have to admit there weren't much of it, exactly jsut 2 if iremember right.
There are even some moments i felt sad for Imari and i did hate Minasi for his rude playboy beeing at the first Episodes of BB >:( But he can get nice and he looks so yummy with his well trained body *-*

Um… what the hell did I watch? I know it was hentai but really, that was just… Most of the stuff was not really erotic for me and the lines they said I would think they would turn anyone off. I do give it props for staying on the story line though. I liked the idea of a dark cult that started long ago and then someone accidently falls into that cult years later. The animation… it loops a lot and the girls look really ugly. They look so skinny and show their rips a lot. I love the dramatic lighting… at least the firstpart of the show and then it just got stupid. It happened to much and if it wasn’t dark, it people were shinning so bright that for a moment they were trying to show how innocent they were… like that actually was true…
I HATE THE DUB! Just wanted to make this perfectly clear. They sound like they did exact translations and it really made my ears hurt. Of course they really didn’t have a good show to dub anyway being that the voices in the Japanese were way to high pitched and full of very cheesy lines. Think about this… would you really use lines saying I want to fuck you and I think about nothing but holding your @#$#@ in order to pick up a girl or even a boy? I don’t think so. The chants are so crazy and at one point, they actually chant out to Jesus for some odd reason.
Now that I talked about the bad parts, I have to say, this show is actually so bad that its good. It's a really good show to laugh at. You can't take it seriously and it just looks so pathetic that I finished watching it.

You NEED to watch this masterpeace dubbed. This is truly the anime equivalent of "The Room" or "Troll 2". Bible Black is a must watch for all lovers of camp and so bad it's good movies. The woman playing the antagonist Reika Kitami overacts while everyone else horribly underacts creates such a strong dynamic making the whole engaging to watch. What a sassy empowered queen I tell you. The rest of the cast speaks in undetermined accents and varying ages. Some characters sound like they've been voiced by Hispanic grandmas reading the script at gunpoint. Sadly however, this was made by Milky animation studio and theJapanese is not worth your while. The visual novel which this is based on was well written and it's truly sad that the anime is basically all the sex scenes poorly mashed into 6 episodes with an incomprehensible story somewhere in the middle. If you haven't played the game you'd be shit out of luck to know what exactly is going on because half the important dialogue occurs during the poorly animated sex scenes.
Overall a great game turned into a meh anime only to be saved by it's notorious English dub.

Believe it or not, this is a classic. Not amongst hentai, but amongst anime. Whenever you think of hentai as a genre, this will come to mind. Because it really did set a new standard. Maybe a worthless one, but a standard none the less. I'll start with the most important part of a hentai, the art. With just enough diversity they created one of the best looking casts of porn actors without too many oversized body parts. The animation has a bit too many morphs here and there. But to make up for that, the speed-ups and close-ups can queue in at the perfect moment. Whilethe story does have a couple holes, it is intriguing. Some say a story is worthless in porn, I say it can add a lot of meaning to the sex scenes and thus allowing you to feel more immersed. At the end of the day it is just a bunch of stereotypes clashing against each other, so it only works if you turn your brain off. Which just so happens to be what you do while watching hentai.
Overall, I would say the sound blends in well but just like the voice acting it is nothing special.
Finally, this piece is definitely not something you want to miss as an anime fan. Because to this day, hentai is still a part of anime.

Bible black is an all time classic in the hentai genre. It is about a high school protagonist using a magical bible to get laid a lot. Amazing storyline with a bit of mysticism and theological elements, satanic rituals with decent scenes, tho about 50% of them are futanari, so if you are not into that, probably skip, but I think that watching hentai for the plot is more important than watching for the fap. art is pretty rusty but not too much, the music is breathtaking and over all this is a hentai to remember. Despite its age I would easily rank it asone of top ten hentai of all time.

Too much sex and not enough plot. I want to actually enjoy the animation and the plot. Even then, the plot was so-so, I want more cliff hangers and stuff that will get me sitting at the edge of my seat you know? Anyways, besides the plot, animation, and storytelling methods, the sound was pretty nice. I hope if they remake this that they add more of a plot and more episodes. Also it's kind of ironic how a film like this would even consider having the word "bible" in it. Might as well make a sequel called "Quran Blue" to really get into hell.Like what kind of writer would make something so unholy and give it a religious name? Adding back to the "Quran Blue" sequel I was talking about earlier, why not also have a "Torah Green" as a season three? Why discriminate? These are some excellent suggestions that I recommend anyone making a sequel should pay attention to. These titles are very important! More ideas that I've come up with while watching this boring ass show are "Tripitaka Yellow", "Analects Brown", "Hammurabi Grey", "Sutra White", and "Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-tung Red". Hell, these all sound like new phone colors.

It is a metaphysical journey that’s more about exploring its concepts than anything. It isn’t meant to be taken at face value and demands you to pay attention to understand it. It’s a show that touches upon the human condition and finding one’s purpose in life. I suggest watching lesser complicated shows before trying to tackle Bible Black again. Before I start, I must confess that I do not know the names of the characters, as it is pointless in even trying to remember them. Please watch the show and find the appropriate connections. That said... Bible Black is a show that, itself, suffers from a curse- its reputation. The hentai with "a story", it isn't so much the first hentai with a story, nor does it have a story that will stick with you. The images that confront the viewer are somewhat difficult to process, but only if the viewer sees in the fetishes on display a reflection of the horrifying, animalistic imagination thathumanity harbours in its deepest recesses, as seen in the techniques used to torture a teacher, perpetrated by the brainwashed posse of a witchcraft-practitioner who deems the teacher responsible for her condition (said witchcraft-practitioner is not a full-on witch because she was screwed over by a group of girls who wanted to be witches).
Since this is not Pigeon Blood, the rather unfortunate combination of fetish for its own sake, incomplete plot, blatant misogyny, and characters we feel nothing but contempt for is not present here. Instead, Bible Black's reputation, in some ways, is well deserved, because Bible Black sets itself the challenge of trying to use tropes like a show with intelligent (or at least sentient) writers does. You can notice these attempts in the interactions between the male and female leads, acting like they are in a normal anime where they avoid their obvious attraction towards each other because how else is the show going to keep milking the viewers for attention? But, despite all of it, the last thing that is going to happen is the two having anal sex, right? ...right?
While the need to depict sex hampers the show in a myriad ways, perhaps the most interesting thing about Bible Black is that it uses the hentai format to mine horror tropes with wanton abandon. It strikes gold on some very memorable places in the process. The afore-mentioned torture sequence is one of them, but the standout is the one near the finale, where the main character has to make a choice between staying and trying to defeat the "evil" in front of him or rush to his house and keep the two women there, one being his sister (whose breast he fondled earlier), from being killed after they are raped by the male cronies of the witchcraft-practitioner. There is also a rape scene that is not presented just for the purpose of titillation. I understand that there is this very dangerous undercurrent in Japanese hentai, where depictions of rape are somehow turned into situations where the woman ends up liking it, but, here, the woman feels betrayed and disgusted when the male lead, her "boyfriend", just watches as she is raped by the witchcraft-practitioner's cronies. There are consequences to the characters' actions, after all. The scene is, thus, not nearly as gratuitous as it would be otherwise. It shows that the writers had a grasp of humanity that is otherwise not seen as necessary when they are allowed to let their sexual imaginations run wild, thereby rendering what is depicted, ultimately, futile and pointless.
Of course, most of the time, it just hits dirt and tar, and the viewers passively watch how much women say they like having unprotected sex with both the male lead and the witchcraft-practitioner. The script's less developed tendencies are visible when the latter, earlier in the show, is looking for a virgin to sacrifice, but has vaginal sex with all the girls she sees (with her magic penis, because lesbian sex is kind of weird for men and the Japanese were the first discover that, or something). Somehow, virginity has nothing to do with the rest of a woman's orifices, even though everyone seems just as excited when they put their penises (or other implements, if they don't have one) into the anus or mouth.
The most problematic segment of the show comes up when the teacher begs the male lead, her student, to have sex with her to keep her calm. Having been put under a spell which makes her crave sex, the male lead complies after protesting, even though the better choice would have been if both did not go through with it, despite the teacher's apparent helplessness. What makes this segment problematic rather than simply loathsome is because the complicated power play taking place between the characters, despite the gratuitous detail with which the two go about their business. Does this not constitute a major breach in the kind of relationships a teacher is allowed to cultivate with her students? What does having sex where even the teacher climaxes (remember, she craved sex, not orgasms) do to their relationship? Is the male lead a victim of abuse, despite the fact that he apparently wishes to have sex with many of these women? Bible Black answers none of these questions, sticking to its trope-laden presentation of the sexual act there. But it does linger in the mind, because the show humanises some of its characters; it is not so much of a stretch to think that those not entirely human might come to a head later.
As for the depiction of the "futanari", it reveals a very clearly masculine subjectivity residing in the antagonist, while pursuing goals that would otherwise be given over to the "evil queen" archetype. While the retractable penis itself makes the antagonist, the witchcraft-practitioner, capable of forcing herself upon the female students like nobody else, the fact that she can also produce semen is what overloads the imaginary circuit of sexuality. Regardless of whether or not she can have children, she can always (visibly) climax during sex, making her not just a woman who can always enjoy sex but, in a way, seek it in a manner that is otherwise stereotyped as male behaviour. Even when having sex with the male lead (with her vagina this time), she keeps him from climaxing, almost driving him mad. That she does not have a pair of testicles suggests she has none of the weaknesses associated with having male sexual organs, nor does she have to participate in the associated language of how much of a "man" one is (because, you know, she has no "balls"). Yes, the Japanese never really seem to have a problem with masculinity, but that is how it would affect the sexual psyche of the Western male (and, honestly, for Japan, even India is to the West). I am not quite sure whether other depictions of the "futanari" are as vivid, but, within the context of the show, it was quite fascinating to see how women with power still need the shaft but not the rest of the package.
I suppose the show, in some ways, does deserve its curse. While Pigeon Blood is marred by obscurity, as it should, Bible Black spawned a(n excellent) prequel and a (misguided) sequel. Watching the two has been an interesting experience. Hentai is not a genre I believe I will become a fan of; after a while, the umpteenth "She's your step-sister; your guy friends from out of town are actually girls; your landlady/customer/miscellaneous lady relation looks like a little girl but really isn't" narratives just made me realise what Marx meant by the term "use-value" and how much most hentai participate in the same flows of capital by developing new ways to nurture and evoke desire within the bored participant-viewer: keep pushing the envelope, but never too much. Still, the fact that Bible Black uses horror to its advantage is undeniable. How much of it is deliberate remains a mystery.
