Tanaka Tetsuro is excited at getting a full scholarship at a new high school, far away from his family. What he does not know is that he will be the only boy in an all girl school, and that there is a girl head-over-heels in love with him, waiting for his arrival. But his special friendship with the very cute and dynamic Asuka also causes him to get into a lot of trouble with the powerful student council leadership, as they are at open war with Asuka and her five friends, a group of super amazon warriors called the Koi Koi Seven.

I really don't know where to start with this one. This anime is just loony. From start to finish, it turns you upside down, because the plot goes in absolute circles. In one episode, the plot will go one way and in the next, it's like the last episode never existed! And not in the 30-minute family drama kind of way. I mean most episodes literally leave cliffhangers that never get answers. It borders on the absurd and maniacal, because there is some charm to this anime that makes you want more (not to mention the fanservice and pointless yuri clips.) First off, let me warnthe reader: there is no payoff. The last episode has nothing to do with the one before it - the one that was supposed to finish the series. The villians are never vanquished and it even seems like they accomplish what they set out to do, but you're never privy to that, because, as I said before, the last episode just takes off on its own almost as if the second to last never happened. Another warning: these characters are superficial and never advance into any kind of archtype you can relate to. In fact some of the characters don't even make sense on whole different levels we're even used to. I can't really explain more than that - this anime is just that crazy. However, to be frank, I finished this anime because as I said before, this anime can be charming, with interesting characters from the start with really cute voice acting (nowhere near the brilliant voice acting of anime such as Zero no Tsukaima or Kanon, but you get what I mean.) Also, for guys, there's plenty of fanservice, plus some good yuri in the first and last episodes to keep you happy. (Although the last episode featured a lot of nudity, it was the mannequin-style where the "bad" parts were just excluded. very disappointing and even a little creepy.) Anyways, there's really nothing more to say. If you really have nothing else to watch, go for this anime, I guess, since it's only thirteen episodes (although they're kind of hard to find online.) but if you do have a list of planned anime to watch, skip Koi Koi Seven.
The premise seemed promising enough. After all, what is there not to love about a team of cyborg girls who fight against the mean bitches and save the clumsy boy they're all pining for? Short answer: A lot. Though this anime had so much potential sitting right in front of it like an open cookie jar, it decides to dig its hand into the open jar of live scorpions sitting right next to the cookies and kill itself as it digs deeper. Koi Koi 7 does so much wrong in so many ways that it's hard to recount every error made. Oh wait, no itisn't. One of the first things you'll notice about this anime is the lack of real characterization. Seriously, the most memorable character was the main boy character, and that's only because he was the only male around. The girls in the actual Koi Koi 7 team are as forgettable as they come. You have the gun-loving tomboy, the Power Ranger ripoff fan who may also be a tomboy, the emotionless robot, an airheaded loving girl, and I don't remember the other ones' deals. That's about as far as their personalities go. Even when the anime tries to flesh these characters out in 2edgy flashbacks, it quickly forgets what it was talking about and returns to its main reason of existence: fanservice, rendering the flashbacks and any characterization null and void. Oh, did I forget to mention how much fanservice there is? There's a ton. So much so that it disrupts any kind of serious atmosphere the anime tried to create. Which reminds me, the tone the show tries to have is all over the place like a bi-polar child with ADHD. In one moment there's a serious fight scene with a 2edgy character that uses some kind of shocking device (I barely remember) to attack our heroes. While the fight is supposed to be taken seriously, it cuts to show that this shocking device also causes all girls in the surrounding area to moan as if they're all having an orgasm (by the way, they're all also dressed in maid outfits). The story of this anime goes absolutely nowhere. It starts off as some typical low-class versus high-class student war, then becomes a harem, then becomes a tragic love disaster involving some character we learn little about, then becomes nothing, then becomes a big battle, and then becomes nothing again. The ending makes absolutely no sense and leaves you wondering if anything was resolved at all. So, if some "asshole" who doesn't like anime tries to prove to you that it's nothing more than tentacles and schoolgirls, don't show them this anime to prove them wrong, because it will do just the opposite. Never have I seen an anime that fits the stereotypical anime bill so well as Koi Koi 7, with half-naked women and pointless romance right around the corner. The only reason I continued to watch it was due to how much fun I had laughing at how horrible it truly was.
Koi Koi Seven was enjoyable to watch, it was interesting and odd, it had a slight twist to it, but the first few episodes i understood completely, it was introducing the charcters one by one and giving a bckground to them. But Episode 12, they built it up and up and up, gave it a cliffhanger and a possible fight scene, then went to some random tropical island, which was odd, but i was able to live with it as they gave you a hint of what happened about 18 minutes in with a flashback of the outcome of the battle. Over the Whole, i thought itwas great, im just wondering where did season 2 go? i mean you cant just leave it there, on the tropical isle, they still need to find otome and there are a few loose ends that need to be tied up.
all first say this anime is very and i mean VERY underrated but otherwise lets get into it Story: so it pretty much starts of with tetsuro getting into a school but just not any school this is a all girls school and there he meets Asuka and also the Koi Koi Seven who are pretty much people who have super powers and what not ill admit the ending was not what i expected but ill get into that later in the review Art: art is decent for a anime that came out in 2005 for sure Sound: The OP is very good awhile the ED is decentat best Character: all first state her that NONE of the side characters bothered me( i only review the main not the side characters for this also im goona proabbly kepp all the main ones short). Miyabi is a pretty silent but also a pretty brash girl. Akiwo is a flying and strong girl shes decent for a character. Otome is pretty good shes a robot in a sense so she doesnt really show emotion well because of it. Sakuya shes pretty much the gunslinger of the anime and also pretty tough in her own right. Hifumi is i honestly cant really describe her she is up and happy the next shes like a scaredy cat. Asuka is the REAL main girl you could say shes always getting at tetsuro and what not she easily the dumb and silly one. Tetsuro is the main guy and also with all the girls shy and what not around boobs also no powers aswell but yeah i liked him. Enjoyment: now yes i did enjoy this alot from the comedy just being pure cold from the action being very good but the ending was odd like how in the end did they defeat those 2 girls did they just say "fuck it we cant show this part we gotta end this series now before our budget goes out" that was odd. Overall: im giving this a 8 for sure the ending for me is questionable but the action being very good and the comedy just being pure gold for made me give it this rating for sure
If you planning to see alot of echhi stuuf and yuri then this is the right anime for you, include with mecha battle, it's fun to watch..some of the mecha mostly like gundam, maybe a gundam after all,i laugh alot. The story are bit complicated, i mean the ep13 a bit confusing, you need to watch until the end or just skip minute to 19:31 if you time for the anime is 25:28. For the art, perfectly well done..the character is also fun to watch.. lol..but still it was not fun, coz i kinda think there is no season 2..
The thing about this anime is that nothing is cohesive about it's story, the characters range from super annoying to bearly tolerable, and the art is just average at best. I say that yet i still have fond memories of this anime due to that damn opening theme song. I will forever love that theme. Anybody looking for a great anime of it's era this won't be it. In fact this might have been a low point from this era of anime. I would say watch this anime if you're drunk and just feel like making fun of something. Otherwise you just won't want towatch it.
