Mizuho can't believe his ears when Grandpa's will is read out. Grandpa's final wish is for Mizuho to attend the same academy as Mizuho's mother. The catch is it's an all-girls school. With the help of friend Mariya however, he gets a makeover good enough to fool everyone at the academy. (Source: ANN)

Pleasantly surprised. That is how I felt after watching this series. Unlike many of the other anime series I've watched, I actually started this one with a negative preconception, a misconception that is. After reading the story synopsis, I automatically thought the show was going to be dull. However, to be ever so cliche, I will say that the saying is true: you can't judge a book by its cover. In any case, I watched the first few episodes anyways out of curiousity, and I am happy I did. Let's begin with the story. If you've read the synopsis, itis true. This is a story about a boy who ends up going to an all girls school, because it was his grandfather's dying wish. This seems ridiculous, and the fact is, it probably is. As far fetched as it is, this makes for some interesting situations. As far as a concrete storyline goes, I will tell you now, there's not really an intentional direction for this story. However, there is a structure to the story, and if asked, I would say that its a story about a boy growing up to understand himself and a little about his roots. Overall, however, I felt the story could have been a little better developed, so I only think it deserves a score of 6. Next, examining the art, I must say, I am quite amused. The art was very beautiful and gave the story a light, warm welcoming feeling. I wouldn't say it's anything extraordinary, but I really enjoyed the art and colors used. The characters were also pretty well depicted; I even enjoyed the cute "minitures" used every so often. I gave this an enjoyable rating of an 8. Sound- gorgeous. The music really hits the spot with the intention of this anime. The music sets the perfect mood: calm, light, and warm. If anything else, I must say I'm impress with how well the music set the atmosphere for this show. Never once did I feel the music disrupting the flow; it was always on cue. Definitely a 9. Now this is where the anime shines, the characters. The character development is simply wonderful. Overall, I fell in love with all the characters. The way they are presented, their actions, their words, it all makes up for the lack of a strong storyline. Never once do you think the actions of the characters are exaggerated. Their dynamic personality is what makes this show with watching. I'm still contemplating the score I gave the story in this aspect, but being the harsh critic that I am, I give it a high 9. Now, this is where I am truly amused. Despite all previous scores being below a 10, I can't help but to give an enjoyment rating of a perfect 10. I really enjoyed the this showed despite all odds. It is really a unique show. One of the other reasons why I enjoy it is because of how it stretches the limits of our minds. People are always restrained by societal expectations. Men should act like men, women as women; anything beyond this is ridiculed. However, this series goes to convey that people shouldn't be judged and labeled so. Stop categorizing people. You are you, and nothing more. This is how we see the main character. At first, we can't get over the fact that Mizuho is a boy dressed as a girl, but as the story progresses, we forget. Mizuho is a girl, no wait he's a guy, but then again, who cares? Mizuho is a virtuous person, whether he's a guy or a girl soon becomes frivolous. If you're wondering on whether it is worth your time to watch this series, I would urge you yes. Despite how it looks, it's actually a really good show comparable to Fruits Basket, in my opinion. If you found that enjoyable, then you will definitely enjoy Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru. With all the characters, the wonderful themes, and flowing music, you may find yourself pleasantly surprised.
Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru, Story: Hmm, the story lacked quite a bit, being sent to a all girl's highschool due to his grandfather's will? What's in it for the main character? The storyline basis lacks in detail and does not give enough information, but through witty plot's and lots of cross-dressing this piece makes you quickly forget what the storyline even is. Art: The art of course was amazing. Sound: Soundtrack fit the lalala atmosphere perfectly and the character voices were nothing but exquisite.Character: Who does not love a "Cross-dressing boy that actually looks like a girl" character? The main character is very important throughout the anime and makes you quickly forget that she's a boy, whoops I mean he's a boy :p. With an entourage of supporting characters that make the experience even better. Why did I like this anime? Not only is this anime hilarious, but it has the capability to make you forget even the key plots of the storyline. Through various experiences the characters mature and relationships form. This anime is the funny, not serious, non-sexual version of Strawberry Panic, and it packs a soft punch =)
'Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru' is a unique anime in that it combines several themes that you think wouldn't work in a million years. A guy masquerading around an all-girls school in a girl uniform (inflatable pair of breasts included), a subtle haremesque Yuri and not so Yuri romance theme and last but not least - a bit of slice of life drama supplemented by brief and witty comedy. What's even more unique is that this combination works very well in this anime. I initially had low expectations and let's face it - the plot sounds corny. Once you start watching this series however, everythingbecomes clear and you'll be surprised just how well all of the components in this anime fit together. The story does a tremendously good job when it comes to plot & character progression and the pacing is fabulous. It's neither slow, nor rushed. The speed of progression over this 12 episode series is just right. It gives you enough time to process the information, cry over the dramatic scenes and/or fist pump the piece of atmosphere in your room to oblivion during the romantic scenes between the male lead and the girls. The concept itself might not be the most original (as in MC + obvious harem dramedy) but other factors such as the fact that the male lead is disguised as a girl and has to avoid detection make it more novel and interesting. That's not to say that the story here is flawless. No far from it as ironically it's the weakest component. While it has good pacing and certainly caries an interesting premise, it lacks direction. There's no definite conclusion here. No moral of the story. Additionally some of the initial questions are left unanswered all throughout the show. There's also one story arc that sort of ruins the seriousness of 'Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru'. However I cannot mention exactly what it is and keep this review spoiler free. The characters themselves are some of the most virtuous characters that I've seen in anime. The male lead - Mizuho, is an epitome of moral excellence. A selfless boy who willingly accepts the task given to him - moving to an all girls school to complete his education. Once there he assumes a high communal position and becomes a paragon of virtue, staying under cover and helping out all the girls in any way he can. This is what I liked the most in this anime. Any other plot would see the male lead taking advantage of the situation and... doing some fairly stupid stuff. Not in here though as Mizuho is a true gentleman. The female characters were likewise extremely proper and looked up to the MC for guidance. Only 3 episodes in and you can clearly see that the connection between Mizuho and the girls is genuine and they work very well as a team. This in my opinion added to the realism of the series and gave it a lighthearted tone. Finally, there are a couple of female characters that are mysteriously drawn to Mizuho so the series naturally opens up the opportunity for romance and a bit of drama. Interesting to note however is that this romance and drama occurs in natural fashion rather than being forced upon the viewer out of trivial and otherwise superficial situations. Moving on, the art style and quality are impressive and perfectly supplement this anime's overall cheerful tone. Attention was paid to the characters as well as static backgrounds so the viewer is presented with a consistent experience. Voice acting was authentic and the voices fit the characters very well, especially Mizuho who sounded androgynous and as such made it more believable that he'd fit into an all girls school. The OST itself featured extremely relaxing music, the start of the first episode is a testament to that. And some classical music thrown in between too which completes this series. Overall, a near damn masterpiece. The story has some issues, mainly the fact that for the most part it doesn't have a clear direction + one arc that kind of ruined the seriousness of the plot. However, if one is to overlook these two problems then one will find that the story succeeds at most of the things it does. All other departments are either perfect or hovering a tiny bit below perfection. I have enjoyed this anime immensely from the start and have watched all the sequels and specials and while their enjoyability varies, the first season of 'Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru' is not something to be missed. 9 points.
I just finished watching Otome wa Boku Koishiteru and I find it very good from the start till the last episode. =) It's categorized as a "Shoujo Ai" but since the main character is actually a boy, I consider it more like a super mass harem with an utmost gentle touch. It has a very creative plot, it's really funny at times, specially when the main character and his friends avoid being busted with their secret, and each episode turns out quite well. I recommend it to those who are not into pure girl to girl, Shoujo Ai. I like Shoujou Ai's because it's all girls, but forsome reason their pure girl on girl plots don't amuse me. I dropped anime like Strawberry Panic and Maria-sama after their first episode for it failed to give me enough interest. But this anime, Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru is very different, because although they all seem like normal shoujo ai girls that emit a shoujo ai environment, the main character being a boy only hiding as a girl (meaning he's not gay) gives a great PLUS and will make viewers expect for further plot developments. A story didn't show much in the 12 episodes. It just shows how the main character progressed in an all-girls school for a whole year without knowing the real purpose for it, but his experiences are funny and really interesting that you won't complain much for not seeing a story. The last episode is more of a new beginning and not an ending, so a second season is a MUST to show more of the character's history and to finally develop the story and end it. I give it a good 7 for having a great story potential. The art was supposed to be great but their are a lot of times that the characters look disappointingly bad, so I give the art, a good 7. I didn't notice the sounds so much but it was fine, nothing to complain about, and the OP and ED songs are good. The sounds are a good 7 too. The characters are all good and they all fit in together well so I rate it an 8. I really enjoyed this anime so I give the enjoyment a very good 8.
As my good friend Admiral Ackbar would say, "IT'S A TRAP". Literally meaning that in more than one way, a person can be a trap any way you look at it. By means of physical form and forms of lies and mental deception. However you are eventually found out by means of stacking lie upon lie or your charming good looks will make it to second base. I was a bit disappointed though. Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru didn't deliver, and I didn't expect it to with the abundance of titles that seem similar to it. I did enjoy it to some degrees but then it fellapart in many areas and I lost my interest mid way through. Well what went wrong? The title itself isn't even a shoujo-ai, I think someone may have pointed that out already. It's simply a harem style romance with little yuri involved, the main character is simply a trap (Male posing as a female). The series is hurt quite a bit due to Strawberry Panic being released only a couple seasons before it and that really destroys its points for originality. Any comedic moments would only be dwarfed by the hilarious parodies of Maria Holic. The story is fairly slow moving, you have the main male character inching closer to each female lead without ending up with one. In hindsight this title even fails at being your standard harem just because of that. Yeah you might be thinking its setting and story may be unique but its been done too many times already. 6 is all across the board here folks, I won't "trap" to you. The artistic side of the story is fairly simple, the series lacks detail on characters and background alike. Fairly simple animation that looks like it suffered budget cuts at the start of its season. The scenery isn't really seen all that often, mostly on occasion outside of the school has a fall type setting. Background noise was lacking as well, I only really payed attention during the opening theme and break transitions which I started skipping later. I couldn't even make out a note during showtime, maybe it was playing on -90dbs? Oh I also forgot to mention the character's heads looks hugely out of proportion to their tiny bodies, felt a bit odd. Being a huge trap fan I was hoping for some consistency and exposure, didn't happen. The series lacks consistency, it shifts the mood gears too often but I guess that's romance. Maybe its not my thing, I feel romance needs a touch of jealousy in harems, this sure didn't present that. Lets not forget the shemale now. This is where I laughed a bit, one episode the character was in a two piece bikini with full breasts and everything. Some episode down the road they're falling off. Odd how that works, oh wait it doesn't. I was a bit angry when it was all flogged and greased they didn't even bother exposing him to the entire school body. Please, that's a ritual for any series with traps. First, exposure then leftover guilt followed by a big group hug. Maybe im just delusional and don't watch as much as I think I do. Forgot the yuri again, look at the harem. He doesn't even pick a girl that he likes, you forgot something. I think he might be gay, he looks like a catcher to me. Just the idea of the main character disguising as a female doesn't take the effect away that its still a trap, but people forget that. Hey now, it wasn't all that bad though. Its a fuzzy heart story about someone who doesn't want to do but does anyway. The result is coming out on top and making endless numbers of friends. Our friendly neighborhood trap is the center of attention through unusual circumstances and puts together his own little troop of friends and great memories. Yeah it lacked a lot but I had to punch a few sandbags after I was done. The tags are a bit faulty, give it a try though if you like something warm and fuzzy with that deceptive trap.
I knew this series would be good from the get go after watching the first 10mins despite looking average on paper. The plot isn't particularly involved as other anime and it looks like the reason for the main character to attend an all-girls school is rather shoddy on paper, however, this is quickly forgotten after the excellent comedy routine and characters are developed. There is little story as such, but the main focus is on how the main character copes with his new dilemma in an all-girls school which becomes slightly over-the-top sometimes but retains a sense of seriousness when interacting with other characters that need hishelp. What i particularity enjoyed about this anime was that throughout the series i forgot the main character was a boy until reminded by carefully planed joke which was pretty smart imo which added to the overall enjoyment of the series. Also the fact that they are actually very little cross-dressing jokes despite being an almost 24/7 cross-dressing field added to this sense. If your looking for an epic tale of school romance and cross-dressing then this series may not be for you, but if you want the enjoyment and satisfaction of saying the phrase "That was good", then this for you.
The show in its self wasn't too bad but I guess I went into it expecting something else. A guy being forced to attend an all girls school because of this grandpa's will sounds like there would be some interesting situations, problems to overcome, and misunderstanding galore. Not so .... At a little more than half way through, I realized that this show wasn't focused on him trying to hide is identity, more like girls dealing with problems about confidence, standing up for what you believe in, doing your best, the usual anime targeted to preteen girls. Which is good in all butI'm not a preteen girl. You'd think that they would have focused on a guy being thrown in a girls world and the differences between men and women. They did address the way they speak and him swimming in gym (but earlier showed him in a two piece and he had boobs? I'm confused) and leaving the toilet seat up, but it would have been nice if they attacked issues such as "man" hair (girl walking about with stubble and hairy legs? WTF!), being around hot girls would make it difficult for a guy to keep his libido and his thing in check, and the stuff you would normally find in any anime when the world of men an women clash. Overall it wasn't bad but not what I had expected.
Boy who looks like a girl to begin with, pretends to be a girl to enroll in an all girls school, to fullfill his granfather's wish. This anime's premise has the potential to be great however, it does not live up to its potential. First of, the reason for Mizuho our protagonist to enroll into an all girls school is kind of weak, just because his grandfather wanted him to do so and even than the story did not explain fully the reason for his request. Our protagonist willingly decided to go along with his grandfather's wish. Now, this suituation could have resulted into alot of highjinks or funny scenerios which would have made this anime series interesting, instead, all we get is a couple of instances where Mizuho feels awkward like using the girl's washroom or changing in the locker room. I know that this series is meant to be a light drama and that the plot is about how Mizuho through his good nature and kind personality, change the lives of those around him, but i never expected it to be so generic to the point of being mudane. I am not asking this series to have fan service or it to be herem (the title doesn't help) but at least it could have been more realistic in the way that the story is being potrayed. For example, Mizuho pretending to be a girl, has to wear a bra to keep up with his appearance. However, when he is in his dorm room, shouldn't he be wanting to take off his bra? Even though he is around people who knows that he is really a guy, namely his childhood friend Mariya, he still continues to dress as a female. I am not a sexist but being a guy watching this anime, it raises a lot of quetions. Is Mizuho suppose to be feminine? Does he enjoys wearing girls clothings? Why doesn't he have or wear any of his guy cloths when he is in his room? Why the very long hair? Just because his father said so, to never cut his hair, its too convenient for the plot that the writers come out with. Which guy his age would even listen? My next gripe would be doesn't anyone even suspects that he is a dude the entire series? It just brushes under the carpet this glaring issue when the suituation arises. In one episode, Mizuho is suppose to have swim classes but he avoids it as the story explains that he is "having a girl day". The school president Takako did bring up this issue but the story quickly side track it with Mariya having a competition with Takako instead. Thats about it, no one else suspects him further of being a guy to the point that he is ellected to become the school's elder! I was so hopping that at the end of the series he would have come clean about his status but the writers decided to end it without even reviewing whom he chooses as both Takako and Mariya finally felt that they have feelings for him (no suprise there). I would like to end this review by saying that even though the series is only 12 episodes, i could not wait for it to end sooner. By episode four, i started to be disinterested. Even when there is different voice actresses, most of the characters sound the same (jap dub). The japanese subtitles had many errors too. I am not bashing this anime, i actually quite enjoyed it till episode four when things started to go downhill for me. Overall 5/10 watched if free, better to skip it.
From the first scenes of the first episode I didn't expect much from this series but at the end I was like hmm.. this is very intriguing. The concept of the story is great revealing many challenges for the protagonist as he delves further into his new life. One thing I appreciated is that our hero did not lose his calm and managed to pull through things I can't. Make no mistake, what Mizuho does is no easy thing. But enough of the story, lets talk about the art. I was a little disappointed to see the artwork of the characters as their limbs arevery very small compared to other series such as "Rosario + Vampire" whilst the facial traits are marvelous as well as the hair and eye details. The characters of this series are stereotypical with the exception of the protagonist. It may seem far-fetched that he has top grades in his situation but let me tell you a piece of information few know or did not realise: Every piece of literature or cinematographic production has elements of fiction in it, regardless of the genre. Overall I found it very compelling and enjoyable as I often watch series that have the following base principle: "What would happen if". So, if you share my point of view then please, by all means go ahead and watch Otomoe wa Boku ni Koishiteru as it presented me with a new possibility. If not well, bummer.
*Please note that this is my first review. Also, this review does not contain any spoilers. Overall Score: 8 Let me start off by saying that this anime was enjoyable and yet at the same time - disatisfying. My favorite genre of anime is romance, and going down a little further - my favorite type of romance is shoujo-ai (or girlxgirl). Since I am a huge romance anime fan, I went into this anime with a lot of expectations. I expected that the whole series would suffice my romance anime needs, but unfortunately, it did not satisfy my hunger hence my stomach yearnedfor more. This was just me speaking after just finishing the show - now onto the review. Story:6 Ok, The reason I gave the story a six was not because it lacked in any way shape or form, but it was because there really wasn't a 'real' solid story, or if there was, it lacked in detail to help whoever is watching this show and also through out watching the series you forget about thinking about the story (if that makes sense?). The story revolves around Mizuho Miyanokouji who is the main protagonist of this series. Basically, because of his grandfather's last will before he past away, he wanted his grandson, Mizuho, to attend an all girls academy because that is where Mizuho's mother had attended. He goes to the school dressed up as a girl hiding his identity while doing everyday things only as a girl. Eventually after into the series, romance between the main characters kicks in with the characters being Mizuho and Takako which I will not get into. Overall this series was enjoyable and at times very heartwarming and cute (yes I used cute, though I am a guy - who cares!). Unfortunately for me, the conclusion killed this series for me. This would have been one of my favorite series if it was not for the ending. Let me warn you that if your watching this for the romance you will surely get it, but it will not follow through to the end and leave you empty inside and disappointed like it did for me. That is all I have to say. The art in this series was great and to me there was nothing wrong with it. The characters' voices were amazing and the characters themselves were lovable. Overall this series receives an 8 by me. From episode 1-11 you will come to love this series, but in the end - you will be very disappointed. *Ok so I know this was not that great of a review, so if anyone who reads this would like to leave me feedback on my page, then please do so because I would like to know how I did with my first review. Thank you for reading. ~Bye from Animefan5022~
I started watching Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru with a rather positive aspect of the Anime, seeing that it included Yuri and such. But by the time I finished it I was not that happy with the anime. There was barely ANY yuri, the plot was quite boring, there are lots of "jealousy." I don't even know why I bothered finishing the series but I have to say it was quite disappointing. Only good thing about it was the ED. 6/10
Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru... a very unqiue and interesting anime per say. Story: The story was a 6 for me. A lot of animes and mangas have those gender bending ideas, but Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru takes the cake. I usually don't enjoy gender bending romances (that for me, hint out yuri - which I really hate), but it was somewhat enjoyable, I mean hey, I managed to survive through the whole series. A lot of the time I had myself pondering, "What the hell. A ghost?" and "This is messed up," but in the end, I am rather grateful to have finished theseries. Art: The art was a 9. Simply beautiful. I really enjoyed their uniforms, but the hairstyles - like a lot of anime characters have - were overrated and the colouring was stupid. Unfortunately, a lot of anime characters have pink, blue, green, etc. hair colours I hate. So that would be the only reason I didn't rate the art a perfect 10. Sound: The sound was average. Nothing good, nothing bad. So I rated it instantly a 7. Some of the voices suited perfectly with their designated characters, but some bombed the roles. Character: I'm finding that a lot of mangas and anime characters are rated a 5 in character development for me. Same backgrounds, same problems, nothing special or fancy or interesting 'bout them. Enjoyment: The enjoyment was definitely a 7. I enjoyed the anime, but felt like it could've been better in certain ways. Overall: Overall would be a 6. I stated my reasons, and this anime isn't a must watch. You could live without it, speaking truthfully. I felt the need to mark this anime harsher because well... at first, I was very intrigued by the plot summary on MAL and the artwork, only to find myself disappointed countless amount of times. So please don't hate me for this review as it is my second review.
well,at first it gave me an impression about shoujo-ai aka girl's love so i decide to put it on impossible list to watch since m straight (normal girl who still loves boys). but,thx to some certain youtube videos bout funny rom-com anime,it gave this anime a chance to be watched by me and after do a lil check in mizuho who is actually a boy,i convinced myself to watch this for a break from serious slice of life-rom anime "a normal love between boy n girl still can be found even when the boy is an awesome reverse trap"..it sounds kind of interesting.isnt it ? andthat been said,i give a run for this anime and Woahh..it sure gave me a loot of laugh. A well-done anime indeed well, overall even if u r straight i think this anime is worth to try,m sure it will give u the same impression as mine in the end :)
If you're like me, you probably read the synopsis and tags and thought "this might be a fun/funny watch". The story sets it up like it's going to be a good comedy, but only leaves you with disappointment. The characters are terrible, boring, flat. And the voice acting was like driving nails into my ears. Every episode was a chore to get through. If you're looking for a comedy, pass on this, it has nothing going for it.
I stumbled upon this while looking for anime with a all-girls school setting, and i am surprised by how much i enjoyed this. The story: A male being sent to an all girls school, and then excels at everything becomming the most popular person at the school? How common! Shockingly it was actually good. The way the story progressed. and how the exposed more characters is higly enjoyable. Slightly disappointed there were only 12 episodes though, as it feels like there are a lot of things that they didn't show. Atleast the most important things in the story were shown. I haven't read the manga so i can't commenton how it was adapted to anime, all i know is that i enjoyed it. Characters: I love most characters to bits, i love the way they show the insecurity and concern that Mizuho has towards others, i love the way Mariya starts acting like a selfish bitch once she realises that Mizuho has surpassed her, i love the way Kana and Yukari are depicted as little sisters devoted to their "oneesama". The art: Now this is a personal prefrence but i for one love this art style, the hair is really well done, movements are fluid and emotions are conveyed really well But the animators forgot they were drawing a male and not a female, as seen in the scene where he is trying on swimming clothes, only time we see that they didn't completly forget is in the scene after Mizuho saved Takako from a kidnapping.. Overall: Worth a watch, especially if you are into the school settings/yuri Genre, it's not real yuri. But it sure as hell looks like it. Pros Great art lovable characters pretty okay story cons A little short for my tastes, but this makes it nice and easy to watch in a few hours. Doesn't have much romance really, there's a few bits of Mariya and Takako thinking about how much they love Mizuho, and a few kiss scenes between Takako and Mizuho. Mariya goes on a "date" but that's about as far as that goes. Worth watching. three damn rewatches and still can't remember Mizuho's name.
I was shocked. This was the first cross-dressing anime that I enjoyed in watching thoroughly. At first, I found out about this anime when it was on the recommended for strawberry panic. I thought it was crap since the male protagonist cross-dresses to an all-girl school, but I was totally wrong. After trying out this anime, I completely changed my negative thoughts. Story : 10/10 A fun story of a boy's life cross-dressing as a female and attending an all-girl school. Makes you feel relaxed and at-home. Although the story-line doesn't even seem to exist, this is pretty much what you get from an animelike this. A fine piece of art. Art : ?/10 I'm a real tryhard when it comes to the art style, quality etc.. of an anime. I have always watched an anime with god-like art style, animation and quality. However, ever since I began strawberry panic my aspects of art in anime have changed drastically. Thus, this anime is good enough for an anime from 2006. So I won't judge the art style. Sound : ?/10 Pretty much the same as the art style, however, I do really like the opening of the anime. It's really catchy, I enjoyed listening to it every time I go to the next episode. The voice for the male protagonist is also pretty trappy. It makes you think as if Mizuho is actually a female. Character : 9/10 I have only one thing to say about this. Mizuho's character is pretty well-developed throughout the story. Makes you feel as if Mizuho's a girl and not a boy. (okay I don't know what else to write here now) Enjoyment : 10/10 I really enjoyed this anime, it made my aspect of "if an anime's quality sucks everything else sucks as well" change to something positive. Overall : 10/10 Very good and relaxing anime that can kind of give you a Shoujo Ai vibe and at the same time other factors ( won't list them ). I recommend you this if you ran out of your Shoujo Ais to watch.
Neko here, come here to review about oh-wow-cute yet what-she-is-a-he? Haven't played the game yet, but I'll give my assumptions from what I've watched. Trap protagonist, within yuri-themed like story. Just like Strawberry Panic or Marimite. At first I thought it would be like Maria Holic. But this is just like I saw a blooming lily flower. Sweetness, yet performed by a guy. A Guy! NO! Well, some people said "it doesn't matter as long as its cute". Story wise, the anime have quite light and cheerful situation, typical fanservice of trap genre, until something happened and made quite a trouble for every character. But in theend this series have good closing. Yuritrap. The very impression of this anime. I'd date Mizuho if he is a she. Damn perfect lady.
Story: The ending is not really that good but interesting story though... Art: Exceeds my expectations Sound: I love the OP ^^ Character: well... Mizuho is a boy but looks like a girl *im not gay Overall: Perfect
DISCLAIMER: THE LITTLE DEAD GIRL ARC (in the middle) IS INTERESTING, SEEMS ORIGINAL, AND WELL-DONE (but incomplete). It also appears to be the only plot in the whole show, its raison d'etre, and what sets the whole shebang in motion. Also the reason I gave it a "7" and not a "2". Everything else looks like episodic filler (further bloated by sloooow, polite, high-pitched watakushi-desu-de gozaimasu conversations) and resembles a game walkthrough of the most basic kind. The main character lacks any discernible personality, traits, signs of intraspection, or even self-awareness. His SINGLE trait (other than supposedly having a penis somewhere under the dress, not thathe acts like it) is that he... completes "missions"/"quests" for anyone and everyone in a random but wholly devoted fashion. The mission almost always consists of talking through a character's character weakness to convince them to not quit a club. Again. After which, this compulsive niceness means he unlocks everyone and anyone's "achievement", aka they come to looooove...her. But he's a he. And no, it doesn't actually ever come to matter.
