Countless diverse races, from perky fairies to oozing slimes, inhabit the world. Naturally, such a melting pot of creatures has a broad and alluring variety of brothels. With so many options to choose from, it is hard to decide with which succu-girl to have a meaningful, interpersonal experience. Fortunately, a tight group of brave warriors has come together to enlighten the public. These perverted adventurers take it upon themselves to assess the appeal of all types of succu-girls through hands-on research. Whether it be the scorchingly hot salamanders or the udderly hu-moo-ngous cow-girls, the Yoruno Gloss reviewers leave no species behind. Directed by the mastermind behind Miru Tights, Ishuzoku Reviewers seeks to answer one of the most pressing questions there is: which species is the sexiest? [Written by MAL Rewrite]

I must confess that I am writing this review as a virgin (I'll let you decide whether I'm a Male or Female). "Ishuzoku Reviewers" is the same borderline hentai that we've all previously seen and yet, it has gotten a praise beyond belief. It doesn't offer anything new, it doesn't try to elevate itself and it looks ugly (as usual) so why the love then? It appears this anime portrays every man's dream. A dream everyone has had at one point of life. Fucking all them bitches because yes, the female portraying is the usual although here it's slightly pushed to the next level. Every female hereis destined to work as a prostitute and I don't think I've seen a single character opposed to this cruelty. They like it and that's all the explanation we got. "Ishuzoku Reviewers" isn't really good and one of the main reasons is the sex, it's main subject matter. It's hentaish and you know what that means... it sucks. For some reason every sex scenes in anime doesn't work too well whereas in manga it does. If this was a manga instead I might have liked it but because it's in an anime i've FELT a level of disgust to watching it. I've seen a lot of hentai and there's only one that was decently made but that was because of its story, in "Ishuzoku Reviewers" that's not the case since there's not story. Stuff happens throughout the show but it leads to nowhere... well that's not exactly true since everything leads towards sex and our guy, Rance's older brother Stunk who will take care of them pusss, amirite!?! Jesus o lord I ask your forgiveness for having seen this abomination. The characters are weird. Their design seem to be coming from hell itself. Especially the females. Because there are so many it's hard to draw them properly and it leads to some creepy looking ones. Christ, I've seen a 70 years old naked and she's pounded by a kid. Now yes, he's over 200 years old but because the age here is out of charge It's hard to know how old someone might be or not. Unless they're explicitly mentioned there's not way of knowing a kid has been infiltrated there to fuck some chicks... for whatever reason... Someone please call Chris Hansen. The worst part of the anime is the sex duration. We don't actually get a specific time of its duration but it's pretty clear that the main characters has been having sex everyday multiple times which leads me think, is that even possible considering one of them is a human? Because, if it's based in real-life then it shouldn't be possible for a human being. For the other characters, it's hard to tell since they're a different race but i'm sure there's a limit. It's not you can go and bust out at any given time, amirite? I know what are you asking? But why? I want it to be realistic, that's why. What we get to see is definitely not that. In the anime seems like the main characters can have sex all day whereas that's not possible especially for the human dude. He's the one with the most screentime and yet, we get to see him all day smashing everyone. The animation was probably the best i've seen in hentai, period. Unfortunately we're cursed to having always bad animation in them since even if they had a great animation no one would contribute to buying anything related to that. It's one of the reason why stuff like "Ishuzoku Reviewers" exists so people could actually spend some money on. Ultimately, I won't be the one spending for this crap. Look, I like hentai (a few of them) but in anime they never get portrayed accurately. In the manga is much better, at least in perspective. Whoever draws them know how the body autonomy works. The animators clearly don't. Moreover, borderline hentai has no future. Either you turn into a full hentai or you go with ecchi. There isn't a middle section nor will be one. Just, FYI. Go watch Rance 01 if you want something decent. Its one of my all-time favorites.
You know, I was fully intending to slap a 10/10 on this review for the memes as well as to garner some petty attention, but you know what? I’m actually gonna be completely real with you guys about my thoughts on Interspecies Reviewers. Yeah, I know that reading some comedic satire would have been more fun for you, but I’m gonna take a show about intercourse with anime monster babes seriously!!! It’s always good to joke around and have fun with scores since everyone’s entitled to their own opinions and can rate things however they want (Wow, it’s sad that I have to state theobvious, but here we are!), but if Interspecies Reviewers has taught us anything with both its in-anime reviews AND real life scores, people actually give a damn about the authenticity of ratings and often use them to make decisions and sway their views on what’s being analyzed, no matter how ridiculous the material may be. But wow, who would have thought that the anime of the season would be about some sleazy dudes getting it on with monster girls! Now hold up, before you roll your eyes at this statement and label me an untrustworthy perverted degenerate (which I’m not denying but…moving on!), I’m not trying to incite that Interspecies Reviewers is a great anime by any means, because it clearly isn’t. It’s unique for sure in that it crosses all pre-established bounders for ecchi anime and wasn’t afraid to notch up its perversion to levels previously unheard of for anime of its genre. For that I commend Interspecies Reviewers for being brave, bold, and…quite sexy. However, despite the abundance of unique monster girls featured each week for our protagonists to bang, the anime didn’t captivate me as much as I initially anticipated. I don’t want to say it got repetitive, but upon reflecting, the formula for each episode is nearly identical with the exception being the species that is being reviewed. This is perfectly fine if you’re into the featured girls. I admittedly had a good time with the, uh…birdmaids, golems, and…n-never mind! I’m not revealing anymore or my fetishes! But the problem is that when the monster girls of the week aren't that interesting to the viewer, which unfortunately happened to me on several occasions, the experience becomes as bland as watching a bad hentai that you know will be garbage but you have nothing better to do with your pathetic life, so you watch it anyway. Wait, that’s just me? Well…moving on! Of course under normal circumstances, an anime like this would probably just be watched by a small assortment of men of culture and then quietly fade to background as time went on. But in this situation, there was a whole uproar surrounding this anime that started with Funimation dropping it entirely which then spiraled into a sequence of events that led Interspecies Reviewers to become the most relevant show this season. And that is why it is the anime of the Winter 2020 season, because of the sheer impact that it has had on the entire anime community. I would talk a little more in depth about my thoughts on the whole Interspecies Reviewers fiasco, but screw it, you're not here for that! You're here for the real MEAT of the show, aren't ya? And I don’t mean the story, because let’s be real, there really isn’t one. No, I mean the juicy PLOT of the anime, if ya get me~ But yeah, it’s a decent show overall that follows an assortment of characters who write reviews discussing the quality of a wide variety of luscious monster girls. It’s basic but can be fun for anyone who just wants to have a good time and see some sexy comedic situations with interesting characters. The main characters themselves are a laid back group of adventures who, unlike 99% of anime protagonists, actually get the girl. Or in this case I should say girls. Cuz they have sex with practically anything that breaths and has female parts. No wait, they’ve done it with creatures that lack both of these so…I guess they’ll bang anything that moves? Anyway, they’re a fun loving bunch whose antics were enjoyable to watch for the most part. Stunk and Zel are complete perverts, which is a trait that I enjoy in characters as long as it’s implemented appropriately. Crim ended up as the most entertaining of the main trio for me due to his shyness and general awkwardness. It was just amusing to watch honestly. Yes, they lack depth and intrigue, but the only bit of quality that I care about when it comes to them are their monster girl reviews! These sexy succubus sluts don’t really have a lot of character, but they have LOADS of PERSONALITY, ya get me~? And there’s so many of them, they just kept CUMMING, ya know~? Now these girls are actually the most vital part of the anime, because the lewdness involving them is literally the only reason why anyone would watch this anime, and if you say otherwise, you’re either lying to me or yourself. I’d have to say that I was impressed with the sheer variety of monster girls. The author must of really did his research! I ultimately enjoyed the uniqueness of a lot of the girls and it helped to elevate this series to be above average in my eyes. I’m of course mandated by the anime reviewing kami-sama to give my output on who I think is best girl. So I’d like to congratulate Meidri for being in my humble opinion the hottest chick of the bunch! No wait, I guess the fiery salamander girl is technically the hottest, but…anyway! Meidri wins the award of best designed girl from me as I just find her aesthetic to be quite alluring. 9/10 would watch her lay eggs again. Well, this just got disturbing, so…moving on! The aesthetics are the best part of the show. While there isn’t any flashy animation or breathtaking effects, there are hella cute anime girl designs, so all is right in the world. I believe that this is the best visual work that Studio Passione has done thus far, and the way the characters are drawn is just so appealing. Good thing too, because the enjoyability of hentai…and this anime…really bank on the quality of their visuals. Cuz I mean let’s be honest, we are here to ogle hot anime monster girls after all! And I can say with confidence that the girls generally look great. The sound work is standard, though I did get some lols out of the lyrics to the theme songs. Where the sound department truly shines is in it’s voice acting. The seiyuu have to moan and squeal like they’re getting the icky sticky contents of a long, thick bottle of mayonnaise squirted all over their bodies. Ad you know what? They really sell it. Maybe a little too much sometimes, but hey, I’ll take overacting when it comes to cute anime girl noises. So to conclude, I have to say that while I think that Interspecies Reviewers is a fun ecchi, I personally wasn’t as entertained by it as most cultured anime connoisseurs, though I still ended up having a good time with it. I guess I just wanted to see some more fleshed out characters. Yes, even if this is just an ecchi anime I still would have loved to see some depth, who would've thought? But I will say that if you’re looking for something sexy and fun, then give Interspecies Reviewers a shot. You might even end up discovering a lewd fetish deep within yourself that you didn’t know existed! Just…keep it to yourself if you do. It’s probably best that way.
Well we did it, we have a show that embodies diminishing returns and makes ass, tits, and the idea of sex such a dull experience. It’s not the content's fault, that’s ok for what it is, but it’s more on how repetitive the structure of the show is. With mostly every episode focusing on one or two different types of girls or activity, and making a few sentence review of their brothel excursion. It is obviously a more episodic show, but none of the events really stand out from one another. Most of them are so interchangeable with only the minuscule of detail making themwatchable in chronological order if there is any at all. This comes down to most of them just being just downright forgettable with the only memorable ones being the weird ones like the egg laying one. Hell it doesn’t even stop at the structure of the show, a lot of the “sex” scenes are repetitive as well. It’s obvious that they have only so much wiggle room, but come on. Just a bunch of girls touching themselves, girls focused from belly up bouncing up and down, a bunch of innuendo for fornication, and a couple camera pans to boot. There are only a few moments where they step a bit past the line to make it look like out right sex, but it’s still few and far between. None of this would really bother me, but I just happen to notice them because there’s very little else interesting going on. Down to it, the fact one-dimensional characters boinking highly feminized one-dimensional fantasy species in a nondescript psuedo-european fantasy setting doesn’t suit my fancy. Or maybe it doesn’t because the act of them “doing it” really isn’t that titillating or entertaining. There are ecchi shows that are more hardcore than this show, and hentai that are just as softcore. And if you are reading this, then you obviously have access to them and are more deserving of your wasted time and genital juice. While this show isn’t bad if you look at it from the appropriate perspective, there’s nothing in it that makes it above being average at best. Also if you are wondering why i kept up with this show anyway. It’s because crim is a cutie pie ;)
Do you know what it’s like to sleep with different female creatures? Do you know which species give you the best pleasure? Ever wanted to know what kinks and fetishes suit you best? Well, there’s one group of sex-crazed guys that can give you horny bastards an answer. Welcome to the most culturally PEAK and most sexual show of 2020 (and maybe of all time). A show that first flew under most people’s radars, but soon exploded in what became one of the most unexpected and controversial shows to air, causing a ripple of discussion, memes, and changes to flow throughout the anime community and hereon MAL. When we think of ecchi, we think of flashing tits, “accidental” groping, the Monogatari toothbrush scene, walking in on your crush getting changed, and lesbian couples stranded on an island French kissing & pleasuring each other to turn into powerful weapons. We truly had some good ecchi series that aired in the past that provided us with good fan service, but this show takes ecchi to the extreme in terms of how far they can push the limits of what they’re allowed to air on TV. Comparing this series to the manga, the manga is tame in comparison. The manga doesn’t have ANY nudity or sex scenes, so the director decides to bless us by going far and beyond what the manga has done so far to make this series what it is today, even catching the censors in Japan off-guard. Seeing how the show is borderline hentai, in terms of ecchi and fan service, this show takes the cake as being one of the best in the genre. There isn’t much of a story in this show, only loosely-connected plot points that allow the series and characters to develop and continue after each episode. This show is very episodic in nature and the premise of the show is quite simple; it’s about the gang heading to different brothels to experience different types of species and fetishes. I can say that the world building is also quite good for an ecchi series, seeing how the main cast of characters are adventurers, having to fight different monsters and go to distant lands to visit new brothels. The comedy in this show is incredibly funny and oftentimes vulgur. This show also is both politically correct and incorrect when exploring different topics about human nature and the body, and different groups of people. What I mean by that is when exploring very crude and used-to-be unspoken topics in media such as intercourse, sex & gender, body types, size, age, fetishes, and races, the show pushes these discussion points and issues into the limelight and without hesitation of backing off or pandering to minority groups or the Twitterati, and instead they embrace them and use them to portray a message of inclusivity, body positivity and giving the TV censors the middle finger. However, there were quite a few people who probably aren’t as knowledgeable on anime, especially what to expect of an ecchi series (especially this one), that were outraged or triggered by the show’s “apparent” portrayal of prostitution and female body types, even if they're out of proportion (it's fiction and it's not representative of real life) – most likely just for the sake of being outraged and gaining brownie points online *cough cough* ANN. You would surely expect to see different body types if a show was all about exploring the idea of having sex with prostitutes of different body types and species. The producers and the show take jabs at different groups of people such as critics and reviewers. If you’ve seen South Park, then you might have seen the “You’re Not Yelping” episode; this anime somewhat parodies what that episode focused on (watch it if you haven’t, season 19, episode 4). A good ecchi show isn’t complete without a good set of characters. The main trio of reviewers are Crim, Stunk and Zel; characters with different tastes and preferences and who are of different species. They are often joined by another side character when they enter a different brothel, though there are some good and sometimes funny side character inside the bar and some brothels who have their moments. One factor that makes the cast and show so interesting are the different scenarios they are put in and the struggles and limitations of having sex with certain species or viewing different perverted and often disturbing stuff. One example is having sex with someone who is many times smaller than you, another is when the group head to an egg-laying brothel, which for the main trio, they felt very uncomfortable, whilst snake species and mermen highly enjoyed it, as they can purchase the freshly-laid eggs that are auctioned off. Their interactions with each other as well as the show’s comedy is funny, adding more to their character dynamics. It’s great to see them arguing amongst each other about which type of girl is best, as well as the show’s self-deprecation and character’s self-awareness. The OP & ED are alright as well, they’re more like meme songs just added with a lot of nudity, and the opening is very similar to YMCA by Village People. I honestly think Passione has done a great job of taking the reins and adapting the manga, even taking the extra steps in adding a shitload of hentai-esk material and fan service whilst staying true to the manga. The art style is clean and the animation during the action and sex/ecchi scenes were nicely and smoothly animated. It’s clear that the studio took great pride (if they have any left) and passion when creating the show, and if they keep up that level of care and quality, you can hopefully look forward to future projects such as High School DxD season 5 (hopefully soon) or another season of this show. Maybe it’s a good idea to keep Passione on your radar for future projects. If I have to choose what the best episode of the series is, and what would rival most top-tier ecchi series, then I would have to go with the gender bender episode (ep.3), as that left me in a state of shock and confusion and with an erection wondering as to how something that great was allowed to air on TV, it’s also what lead to creating all of the controversy and de-platforming. Make sure you watch it uncensored for all of its glory. Overall, I think this a marvellous adaptation of what is an alright manga. This show is perfect for any ecchi-loving degenerate such as myself to watch, make sure you lock your door and plug in your headphones when watching the crazy ride that is Interspecies Reviewers. Overall score: 9/10
Ecchi anime are generally shallow. I've seen my fair share of ecchi anime (and even some hentai anime) and they rarely ever amount to anything spectacular. It's mostly junk food, quick and easy but unfulfilling a few hours later and ultimately forgotten the next day. Ishuzoku Reviewers is the 7-course Michelin-Starred dining experience of ecchi anime, served with a rotation of wines for each meal. It is genuinely a fancy dining experience unlike any other. To start, the show is actually funny. I really mean it, not in the lowest-common denominator "Rito-kun no harenchi!" stuff, but actual humour with comedic timings and actual jokes. It isfor my money the funniest show of the season by quite a fair margin, with a good blend of low brow and high brow humour to go along. For an ecchi anime, hell no, for a fantasy anime, it has a surprising amount of world-building and intertia to the setting and characters. Stunk and friends are actually characters and they receive characterization and character development as the series goes along. Adding to that the main characters (+1 rotating guest) are very likable characters indeed, from their mannerisms to their personality quirks, it's never a dull moment with them onscreen. The character dynamics and relationships are also nothing short of entertaining. The various secondary characters the reviewers meet each episode is also a treat, you'll never know who you'll meet next. It really lends a sense of adventure to the show which keeps it fresh every week to see how they can top themselves. I know this all sounds like shallow praise, but trust me, you don't know how many shows I've watched (not even ecchi stuff, I'm talking proper fantasy anime) can't even approach this level of care and detail for its world and characters. It's far too likely to pluck some Joe Average from the real world and toss him into Isekailand to form harems and fight monsters. So to see a show that actually tries (and succeeds!) at giving us likable characters in a setting that is portrayed with a considerable amount of detail (hell the series goes all out to show that the world functions in a proper representative democracy of all things) is something to appreciate in it of itself. And what a wild ride this show has been. From the YMCA OP to the mythical Taiwanese broadcasts to all the cancellations on assorted TV networks and it still goes strong. The whole ongoings behind the scenes is simply a wild ride in it of itself and I'm glad to have experience this whole madness live. It hasn't reached Yosuga no Sora's level of challenging Japanese TV censorship laws levels of infamy yet, but who knows what this series will bring even after the final episode. Finally, despite its subject matter and its nature as an ecchi show, it surprisingly has a mature air to it, treating its subject matter with a lot of class and respect. Again, it's not the standard cheap shots at panties or walking into a shower scene like in many other ecchi shows, but it's the protagonists partaking in the activities provided by the ladies of the night. Which is where I plucked the 7-course meal fancy dining metaphor early on. A magnificent showpiece with a ton of variety at every moment. Just an exquisite experience. As the OP puts it: Sukebe ga daisuki! 8/10
No need for a TLDR, I going to show you just how mad, how creative, how ludicrous sexual activity is in our world, and you are going to love it! Whilst also writing a review, get that full experience if you get what I mean, and for me to not get in trouble. In this large sea of anime with fans who throw terms like "beta male" or "incel" around, it does become apparent that unfortunately, these terms are somewhat true to describe anime… but, hallelujah, the saviour(s) descended from the heavens and allowed fans wanting actual good content to be satisfied with the acme of the culture. It is absolutely everything an ecchi should be, and I mean **EVERYTHING**. This meticulously modelled anime has me thinking if the team actively understands how the real world works, or if they were just madmen that threw everything in the mix, hoping for some of the most ridiculous anime most people would have ever seen! This anime completely understands its audience, their needs and how to satisfy them, it is comparable to large successful corporations making and selling goods that actively change the world, only this is on a smaller scale and applies to entertainment value. Interspecies Reviewers isn't like that teacher in school who tries to be cool by recalling some memes, it is more eloquent than that rubbish! The production here is actually something of high praise, even for a generation where the standard of animation is getting better, this is somewhat better than the rest. Clean and gleam as we love it! Whilst I cannot say this for the audio, well, the OP is fun and catchy and there is still some peak voice acting (👌👌). The lack of good audio isn't something that should hinder the fun. There is nothing to get bored of down here, it's quite the opposite really. Assuming you are not a hater of the ecchi genre, though I would still advise you to still watch this regardless, with an open mind, of course, this is something to remember for the ages to come! With it being part of the frenzy caused Funimation's backlash and MAL's action against the horde of spam, this anime was more or less that "meme of the season" which is sad really, because as said, it is good in itself and doesn't need some fluctuated number to represent that, but people find value in that I suppose. Well, that's another late review, but I hope this does its bit. 10/10 for being peak ecchi. • Honkers • Badonkers • Dobonhonkeros • Dohoonkabhankoloos • Tonhongerekoogers • Bonkhonagahoogs • Humongous hungolomghononoloughongous Or just • Big fat voluptuous round anime tiddies (no this wasn't sponsored 😭) And no, these words don't even scratch the surface of what sex is like. In the West, Anime and Manga are often conflated with Hentai. This is because of their often use of pervy jokes, skimpy and risque outfits, and at times, even nudity. So generally, the medium is looked at as a perverted one. This is due to the differing values between Japan and the West. While the West is more than happy to show violence, killing, and gore, sexual things are often considered taboo. This is the exact opposite of Japan; sexual subject matter is fine, as it's a natural thing we all feel. While violence is often censored or used sparingly. These cultural differences are whythere are a multitude of Anime and Manga with at least some sexual content. Then, there is of course the Ecchi genre that's dedicated to all things pervy. There's a pretty wide spectrum for the genre; series that are fairly mild all the way to being borderline Hentai. You start with more mild series like Food Wars and Fairy Tail with quick and often censored shots, then up to series like Highschool DxD and To Love Ru where boob flashes and groping are commonplace, finally all the way up to the extreme envelop-pushing Prison School and Shimoneta. I personally never thought something would eclipse Shimoneta or Prison School, but once again, Japan has surpassed my expectations and introduced us to perverted masterpiece that is Interspecies Reviewers. Interspecies Reviewers was so perverted and rife with controversial material, it was dropped by its English licensor Funimation and even multiple Japanese television stations. But make no mistake, this series is a titillating tour de force. Here we follow Stunk, a Human male, and Zel, a male Elf as they go on a quest to sleep with every kind of species in the wide and diverse world they inhabit. They accomplish this task by visiting Succubi Brothels, then they review the Brothels and post their thoughts at local Inns and Taverns; hence the name Interspecies Reviewers! One day, they come across the rarest species of all, an Angel by the name of Crim. They befriend Crim and show him(her?) the world of Succubi Brothels. I think this show's strongest aspect is its sheer originality and creativity. The girls range from ultra busty cow girls, to on fire salamander girls, to undead cuties, and everything in between. Many of these species are known to anime fans as "Monster Girls". These have grown in popularity in recent years thanks to many manga, anime, and eroge games. But this series takes it to a whole other level with how unique each species can be. This was a vital aspect that the mangaka/writers HAD to get right if they wanted viewers to come back, and they absolutely nailed it. Every week was a total blast seeing what wild and crazy species the gang would jump into bed with next. Be it busty cuties, sexy and slimy hotties, or creepy but alluring babes, the girls were a feast for the eyes. Continuing with the sheer originality and creativity point, another part of the show was actually reviewing said species. While we got plenty of bed action like sucking, thrusting, licking, and everything in between; the hilarity came from the various visual gags the writers used to get the opinion of each character across. After each hot and heavy scene, we would be shown the gang writing and talking about their thoughts of brothel they were currently partaking in. Varying from subtle to in your face gags, the visuals used to describe their feelings of pleasure, or at times displeasure, were genius, hilarious, and wildly entertaining. Visually, this was of course, very appealing. The art style was soft and cute and sexy all in one. If I could compare it to something, I would say that "soft" feeling was similar to a show like Sora no Otoshimono (another ecchi masterpiece). The designs were unique, cute, sexy, and just plain hot. Of course for a show with this subject matter, this was an absolutely essential aspect to the overall success of the series. The animation, while nothing spectacular, was good in its own right. Great jiggle physics and often above average motion when things were getting hot and heavy. The story itself is simple, yet intriguing. Going from brothel to brothel reviewing their personal experiences is just downright entertaining. Again, thanks in part to its creativity for each species. This never tried to be anything more than it is, a show about sex, and it wore that as a badge of honor. While the soundtrack was not something I would call outstanding, the music was appropriate where necessary. Nice baby-making piano and jazzy pieces to help set the mood for each sexual situation. The real draw was the terrific performances by the actors, both male and female. Moans of pleasure, hilarious one liners, and overall very believable performances helped make this even sexier than it already was. The characters themselves were all lovable in their own way, each with their own fetishes and preferences that helped make things more diverse depending on what you're in to. It never got boring because of this. Stunk, our relatable human protagonist preferred them young, beautiful, and busty. While Zel, our Elf protagonist didn't really care about looks, but more about mana, but still enjoyed his fair share of cuties and large busts. Other side characters liked things such as collars and masochistic fetishes, others were worried about smells, while Crim, our third protagonist was more innocent and was forced into things with a sort of "virgin" perspective. On the subject of Crim, I think he's(she's?) a little divisive. Often in Anime/Manga, Angels are shown to be hermaphrodites. With both functional male and female parts. This is the same with Crim, who looks both girly and a bit boyish as well. I personally, wasn't a fan of Crim because I wasn't interested in watching a girlish/boyish child having intercourse. But in the end, Crim was a "necessary evil" as they are used a vehicle for the viewer to help understand the world of Interspecies Reviewers better. Because Crim was new to the world, Crim would often ask questions about customs, cultures, and so on. As someone who has seen his fair share of ecchi, I can confidently say Interspecies Reviewers has cemented itself as a masterpiece in the ecchi genre. I have not seen a series that has pushed more boundaries or has been more unique than this show. Entertaining, extremely sexy, unflinchingly confident, and downright hilarious, Interspecies Reviewers will always make me want to come back for more. Now let's go to Paradise!
A new year, and a new decade, and we're already starting with the "anime of the season/year/decade"? Let's bust our nuts, and Let's go to Paradise! Legally it's questionable, morally it's disgusting, but we all love it! This show has no reason to be good, but it did, for all the right cultural reasons. Regardless of how much this show has garnered the endless controversy from Funimation's "company policies" to "being too HOT" eventual cancellations and takedowns of TV airings (that are not deemed healthy for general audiences, like WTF), and even Lord Nux Taku's flex on making this show the #1 anime on MAL fora moment (it reached #2), ONE THING'S CLEAR. This show is more than "men/women of culture", it's PEAK culture like the world has ever seen on the face of the Earth! Ecchi has always been about the borderline between fanservice and hentai (and we people of culture have always been yearning for the next big thing), but what's to say about perverted-but-unashamed people going to brothels and reviewing them: the endless races of girls, all very unique on their own and the amount of services that perks men to unleash their full desires and go all out to have a good time, then to release the review juices for others to try? If we've had buddies like these people who are very, very eager to have sex, it's a hobby to cum for! In the world of Interspecies Reviewers, know these characters well and by heart: Stunk the human who goes on adventures...of getting it down with girls of all species, especially his favourite being succubi and hating on elves. Zel the elf, like Stunk, also loves to have sex with succubi with high mana levels, but his weirdest trait being that even 500-year old girls in his race are more benevolent as other young girls. Crimvael (or Crim for short), the angel who was torn down from Heaven with a broken halo. Found by Stunk and Zel, they brought him to their housing to work at birdwoman Meldri's work until his halo can be repaired and returned to Heaven. But meanwhile, the Heaven on earth is inflated by him having both male and female private parts (and it shows), but in order for him not to get some aggravated action, he chooses to focus on his supersized bulge that shocks the sexually hungry girls more. Plus the other reviewers (Kanchal and Co.), the experience is alleviated more. Based on the manga of the same name by Amahara, there's a very BIG difference in both the manga and anime. The manga is in the "totally not hentai" realm, but the anime...HOLY WOW my bulge is growing. It's one work that I can say it's more than just being faithful to the manga, it actually showed all the sex/prostitution scenes on screen! And it's all thanks to legendary mastermind director Yuuki Ogawa based on his experience on the "THICC thighs" Miru Tights short. He's once a God in Miru Tights, and now he is again here in this show, the "man of culture" legend award truly belongs to this one-of-a-kind director. Ogawa-san, ARIGATOU-GOZAIMTASU from the bottom of our hearts, and big THICC dicks! Too bad the TV airings are somewhat lacking, because there's 3 versions of it: the usual TV version (which si fully censored that I DON'T recommend), the AT-X version (the 50/50 censored-uncensored version which is good but does not give you the FULL experience), and the "Holy Grail" fully uncensored version (which hopefully the BD/DVDs will not have those annoying censorship labels). If you can find the Holy Grail, make sure you watch that. Animation-wise, I'd bet director Yuuki Ogawa musy've been busting his nuts to choose a perfect studio to adapt this special work, and none other than studio Passione to lead the charge and provide the full scenery of glorified sex scenes in its full glory. Some great animation and visuals, but I'd see the pun in his naming convention: choosing the studio's NAME eclipses the thought of really having the Passione to do things and go the extra mile to showcase off the wonderful girls, the various sizeable boobs and carrots of men. In an ecchi/hentai show like this, to have the sound department go way off would be a big and critical sin, and thankfully this show delivers it more than I'd thought. More than the "AHH, I'm gonna cum!" moments of weird, oddly sentiments of the men of culture being sexual, the OP/ED pairing is one of (if not ) the best this season has to offer. With Stunk, Zel and Crim's VAs singing these songs whilst having tons of fun, the OP sounds like a mish-mash of the Village People's Y.M.C.A (Young Men of Culture Association) and In the Navy, while the ED is a mish-mash of different genres: Enka with Rock, Eurobeat and Hardstyle. Both songs are definite bangers and it's hard not to grace the show with songs like these to flex the sex. Outstanding songs to say the least. In a nutshell, bust your nut! Go to Paradise and enjoy your heart out! One of the best shows of the season, and I understand if this show is too hot for your tastes, but men and women of culture won't take this lying down and this show is an example of breaking the status quo and going in all lengths to create a special show we all won't forget.
“Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, but division. From now on, five in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” Matthew 10:34-39 It’s been a LONG time since an anime stirred up as much controversy and division as Interspecies Reviewers. The online Left is divided. Is this a vile, misogynistic series that objectifies women or a sex-positive series that celebrates gay, transgender, and intersex characters? Theonline Right is divided. Funimation’s Evangelical CEO saw it as a blasphemous, degenerate series that must be kept from the eyes of children at all costs. Other members of the online Right celebrate the degeneracy as a victory for free speech and a series that sticks it to those easily offended SJWs. Funimation banned the series after dubbing just 1 episode. They refuse to stream it, or ever distribute it on DVD. Amazon picked it up, only to ban it just days later. Even several Japanese stations banned it! Interspecies Reviewers as you’ve probably heard by now is all about the adventures of 3 travelling mercenaries and their visits to MANY brothels. There’s an elvish archer, a human swordsman who looks like Big Boss from Metal Gear Solid and an intersex angel with male and female reproductive organs. These 3 post reviews of all the whore houses they visit and earn money from people willing to pay to read their reviews. They are the Siskel and Ebert of brothels! That’s basically the entire plot! The plot is fairly raunchy, but why is it SO controversial? The director of Interspecies Reviewers is absolutely dead set on trolling Japanese TV censors as hard as he possibly can. The line between hentai and ecchi in Japan is actually a lot thinner than you might think. It’s really kind of an honor system and this director and staff have zero intention of following the rules. An ecchi is not supposed to show female ejaculate, but Reviewers does. An ecchi is not supposed to show the outline of the labia, but Reviewers does. They try to get away with that by cooking bacon on a naked dragon girl, which clings to the shape of her labia. An ecchi is not supposed to show semen, so Reviewers visits a group of Mushroom girls that spray everything with “Mushroom milk”. It’s totally not semen! Wink wink nudge nudge. Every episode features a different type of monster girl, which provides the opportunity to spoof various fetishes, make fun of online critics, and further piss off censors. They visit Count Dickula and his zombie harem to show necrophilia on a TV broadcast anime. They visit an “egg laying” club where it’s clearly framed like a scat porn scene, but it’s ok because they’re really just laying eggs. It only LOOKS like our heroes are watching women poop. Wink wink. The whole show is like that. It’s not concerned at all with being erotic. It’s just a giant middle finger to Japanese censors! Despite it’s limited plot and simplistic purpose, Interspecies Reviewers remained hilarious week after week. I thought it would get old really fast, but it didn’t! It is seriously my favorite anime that I’ve seen so far for Winter 2020. I would fully recommend this series, but it may not be for everyone. The uncensored version does get fairly graphic and might make some people uncomfortable.
The anime that broke Funimation and MAL itself...and it's borderline hentai anime...a GENTAI. Ishuzoku Reviewers to go straight into brass tax, is an anime where a group of "reviewers" consisting of a hume Stunk voiced by Junji Majima, Zel the elf voiced by Yuusuke Kobayashi and latter on Crimvael the angel voiced by Miyu Tomita to uhhh "do it" with other species and reviewing them to a bar and that's it. Ishuzoku Reviewers' ummm "scale" of sexiness breaks the bar as to how it can even get by TV standards, it doesn't as it got cancelled on some Japanese TV stations because of it!. Yes fora borderline hentai, LA means a BORDERLINE HENTAI because it gets that raunchy. So how raunchy well... From doing it with mushroom babes, Salamanders, Birdmaidens, Cyclops and the list goes on and on and considering how broad Ishuzoku Reviewers gets with it, yeah expected alot of fetishes comes through with this anime one way or another, with LA actually liking the Salamander girl in Episode 4...*ahem* literally too hot for LA. But yes due to the scenario Ishuzoku Reviewers gets itself into and how uhh graphic Ishuzoku Reviewers' gets with it's H scenes...YEAH take that like you will, unless your unfazed by it, then this might as well be the Holy Grail of off-brand anime hentai anime. If anything Ishuzoku Reviewers makes the main cast going to brothels and doing it with other species, yet it goes hand in hand with the brilliant world building that was emphasized to every episode where the main cast are "doing it" with certain succu-girls. Like take LA's favourite episode of the Salamander Girl where it makes sense the Salamander brothel to be a hot climate, second if the climate is VERY hot and salamanders themselves don't mind it, why not make it a pseudo-BBQ place where SHE "cooks the food" and the entertainment of the brothel, like it's weird but it just makes sense. Ishuzoku Reviewers from this alone isn't just about sex, Ishuzoku Reviewers does an amazing job that LA didn't even realize until now that it's world building was ON POINT. LA actually loved it even in Ishuzoku Reviewers' weirdest episodes, because Ishuzoku Reviewers does go out there and for an anime that's by anything taking things that the TV stations and licensing companies can't handle, it's a refreshing and interesting experience LA had seen in which Ishuzoku Reviewers was thee ONLY anime from Winter 2020 to even to take it that far and to execute it ALL THE WAY which LA praise even for what people might see it as an extremely raunchy ecchi anime borderline hentai. The animation done by Passione, well LA will say this, but try and find the uncensored vers. if your in it for the Holy Grail of gentai as it gives you the best experience in it, BUT LA mostly watched censored vers. (though LA kinda wanted to watch it mostly uncensored but cie la vie) anyways the censored vers. has ALOT of censors but we "get it" on what happens but still sterilizes the animation and mostly makes it censors bars throughout. Nonetheless the animation done by Passione for an ecchi anime, was taken up the bar especially with the risque scenes to some decent character designs from ALL characters what with the setting of Ishuzoku Reviewers. The voice cast is pretty extensive with some of the veteran and rookie seiyuu's going into this from Hiromi Igarashi, Yoko Hikasa, M.A.O and Natsumi Takamori to Miyu Tomitaand Reina Aoyama. LA would be going all day with the extensive of a voice cast as this so LA will say that Miyu Tomita as Crim and Yuusuke Kobayashi as Zel were pretty good but overall the voice cast even to it's huge voice cast were ALL GOOD. Ishuzoku Reviewers is that rare species of anime that is borderline hentai and anime and it KNOWS what it's advantages of both sides (with some disadvantages from both but nonetheless) of it, from the ACTUAL world building of a succu-girls fantasy world and how the succu-girls factor into it and the hentai that leads to it, learning just a little bit of the core cast time to time and all the while we get QUALITY...in the uncensored vers. of it. Ishuzoku Reviewers by all intents and purposes does what it does without hesitation and it KNOWS hentai very well. Audience: Wait if Ishuzoku Reviewers knows hentai so well, doesn't that mean LA knows it too LA: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Ishuzoku Reviewers very good 9/10, if you like a good gentai Ishuzoku Reviewers. For the fucc, vote Succ. Tiaplate Best GRILL, Aloe and Demia best girl...
Simply one of the best comedy anime of all time. Interspecies Reviewers is an anime that is unapologetically all about sex, but you already know that so let's talk about why the show is so exceptionally good. The story follows our main three protagonists, Stunk, Zel, Crimvael, and while most fantasy stories follow combat and the most intense part of their lives, this show decides to follow the naturally progressing world and their personal "hobbies". Stunk is a talented warrior having beaten adult knights when he was just a child, he holds discontent towards his father and upbringing and remains rather humble about his skills in the battlefield, but not in the bed, Stunk is a real horny bastard. Zel is a 200+ year old elf that has lived for longer than any of his friends, his tastes in women can range from looks to things humans can't comprehend such as magic and mana, Zel is also phenomenal in his skills. Crimvael is a shy intersex angel that meets these two adventurers and that's where our story really starts, Crimvael has a broken halo and it is his goal to fix that halo and return to heaven, but he is saved by Stunk and Zel who insist on treating him to a succu-girl to take his first time. Side characters include a sadist halfling, a beast-man, a fairy, and an Incubus, a snake-boy, and of course Meidri, a bird-maid. These characters alone are fun and interesting, but what really makes them special is the dynamic they all share as friends, being of different species they all have unique quirks and interactions that make this show really special, a lot of anime fantasy shows with lately the exception of Frieren do not care to pay attention to these nuances, an elf may as well be a human, a succubus may as well just be a crazier human. Interspecies Reviewers completely turns what could otherwise be a generic fantasy world, into some of the best worldbuilding that challenges even the best serialized anime, and explores how sexual interests, preferences, and compatibility works for all species in this world. Elves will insist 500 year old elf girls who may look like 20 year olds to the average human, are actually extremely old, elves can just tell that their mana is off, and snakes will have fetishes directly involving eggs because they like to consume unfertilized eggs, angels are hermaphrodites, demons get off on signing contracts, the list goes on. Each species has its own unique quirks that all interact with other species and the world itself, running brothels based on these experiences, exploring how people would have sex with these hybrids, exploring real life facts of animals, fantasy tropes, or mythology, to create these interactions. Did I mention this show is also hilarious? with one-liners you would expect out of Panty & Stocking, this feels like a successor in shameless adult humor, direct references to other anime, and about as much sexual comedy as you would expect from a show about sex. The music is amazing. I will just say that this anime has one of my personal favorite soundtracks from maybe all media in general, from the Village People classic YMCA inspired Ikouze Paradise Opening, to an Ethnic Japanese Song that seamlessly switches into EDM for an ending, to Smoky Review, Kotone Naito and the VAs did an exceptional job at creating this soundtrack, the animation is no different, it is simply beautiful. Speaking of diversity, this anime has an unexpected positive message about it, while all of us may be different, we can contribute and co-exist. ""If you like the same goods we do, then whatever your species you're one of us!" the anime also has a story that delves into the political party of demons and the evolving world of magic and technology, unfortunately when they start to really get into it, the show ends, so you will have to pick up the manga if the story interests you, but what's really interesting is these political parties will come out to ask the Reviewers to review their species since it gives them good PR, it really shows the influence these reviewers have and gives surprising commentary on our life. Oh yeah, there is also a lot of sex, I have gone this far without mentioning some people consider this anime borderline hentai, which is fair, it got taken off of Funimation and removed from Tokyo MX in Japan, this anime was controversial to say the least, what makes this very special compared to other ecchi anime is they are not afraid to show and do everything. Overall, I give this anime a 10/10, because I truly see no flaws with it, there are better anime out there sure, but Interspecies Reviewers is perfect at what it does and is perfect in what it's trying to be, if you can get past the weirdness of an intersex angel doing it with a furry hyena girl, you will enjoy it and be surprised at how well made it actually is. TL;DR Interspecies Reviewers is one of the most unique and well-made anime of the 2020s, and the only flaw is that they haven't made a season 2 already, it's sad that a lot of anime fans will skip this because of the premise because it is truly special. Goodnight, and sweet dreams.
Note for the reader: this is a serious review. If you're here for the memes, look elsewhere. If you're like "is this person for real? 10/10?", look elsewhere. You wanna watch this? Sure I hope you know what you're going to watch. In any case, this anime is not for everyone. But it doesn't mean it's bad. The genre of the anime should NEVER dictate the maximum quality of a show. It's on the same level of saying to a successful modern musician "you're not making real music". This is a real anime.A hella good of an anime. However. If you don't like ecchi, this show is not for you. If you watch it, you're doing it either to explore the genre that was unknown to you, or you're doing it to get offended. Assuming you watch the anime at all, that is. If you like ecchi but not at the level of this anime (it goes very far), I don't know why you should keep watching past episode 1 after discovering what this was about, maybe to get offended? No one was able to enlighten me. That said, let's go to the technical part, where the actual content gets judged. Without spoilers of course. The review will be 100% spoiler free. The art is very well done, it's consistent and has no drops in quality, it doesn't lack in detail, there is some action and the animation does its job. Also no random Crap-GI to cut the budget. Unlike your average repeat-the-same-10-frames hentai, if this was an actual hentai, this would easily be the best hentai ever. However, this is ecchi, so it's just the best ecchi ever. Music. The opening is catchy and hilarious, and so is the ending. The soundtracks feel good when you hear them, and match the atmosphere. Characters. The characters have the highest variety that any anime would have to offer. Unlimited races. Unlimited ages. Unlimited roles. Unlimited personalities. The sky is the limit. Clichè? Stereotype? Oh no no no. There is everything there. Full rounded. Story. Considering the ecchiness, the story is mainly about the characters and the world building, and less about actual progression. But there is backstory and characterization, like in the good hentais of the late 80s/early 90s. About the world, it's better than most of the ambientations of most anime. Conflict? Gone. Why make war when you can make love. (and get elected by promising more) Racism? Gone. Every race lives in harmony. Even demons. Sexism? Gone. Only female prostitutes? Only males can go to brothels? Naaah. Everyone for everyone. Prejudice? Gone. You try then you judge. And you can dislike, but for sure you will not hate. Everyone does the work they love, no work is shamed or considered filthy, everyone is given a chance to shine. So what's the story about? Since sex work is, finally, not seen as degrading (as it should be even irl), brothels are the norm. And the story follows our protagonists adventuring and tasting the bountiful booties of every race in existence! Elf girls, cat girls, monster girls, you call it! They have every single one of them. Gender? Doesn't matter. There are males, female and any other gender out there, workers. Nobody is seen as an object. Sex is a talent, a profession, and pays. Unlimited fetishes. Unlimited places. Adventure! There's also adventure. But that's secondary. I mean, a well rounded MC has to be OP as well. Stunk kicks ass. Zel kicks ass. Crim... resists everything, is cute -> forgiven even without kicking ass. Everyone agrees. There is absolutely nothing to complain about this anime other than the fact that it may not be directed at you. In that case, don't watch it. There are things someone doesn't want to watch. Everyone has some unfavourite genres. But no hard feelings or shame. Kink shaming is bad! Very few anime manage to dig into the sexuality theme, without avoiding to be lewd at any cost (almost like they fear showing two characters getting intimate or even mention "we had sex"), yet without becoming disrespecting/outright depraved and immoral. Rather, it becomes quite refreshing. An healthy way to portray sexuality. As free: free of expression, and inclusive. Sex is not dirty. Sex is loving. And fun. And for everyone to enjoy. This anime in two words: sex positivity. Something we need in this world of ours, full of negativity about literally everything.
Here comes the most anticipated show of the season—Once placed second at the anime hall of fame on MAL scoring an average of 9.16; the record holder of the first anime banned on Funimation because it was too wild for SJWs, sparking a shitstorm over the anime community, we present to you… Interspecies Reviewers! Join these horny dudes on the journey to review hookers of every species. You will find yourself amazed by how creative the animation team and the author can be to come up with such crazy ideas, and most prominently, just how fucking far can the show go. Just when you think “theywon’t go that far with that!”, it appears right before your screen. Nipples on television? Meh, piece of cake. What about bulges? Not a problem! Borderline sex scenes? We’ve got those each episode! BDSM-related stuff? Done without a sweat! Interspecies reviewers truly has boldly gone no animators have gone before—its limits are only to be bounded by your imagination. Without a doubt, Interspecies Reviewers is the wildest and spiciest anime I have watched so far. Hell, Domestic Kanojo is just strawberry jam if you compare it to this devilish hot sauce. But what I like the most is how well the author manages to tease the audience with the explicit yet subtle content: explicit in the sense that its content was beyond the redline of a TV show; subtle in the sense that it touches on the bare line between ecchi and hentai, and the balance to that is kept perfectly, just enough to distinguish itself from another hentai. That shock when you see straight up hentai on a TV show is surely a bizarre feeling seldom felt in other shows, and this kind of weird sensation has kept me watching, craving for more—out of curiosity, but also out of pure “enjoyment”. Interspecies is shocking, but not without delicacy. Although all characters are based on typical fantasy species, the author has embedded the usual settings and characteristics of each species into the world of sex. From their sexual preferences to their habits, each species has unique traits surprisingly matching with their stereotypical impression, paving the ground for good comedic chemistry based on racial differences. With nicely animated sex scenes and good comedy moments, hardly would you find any episode boring to see. Apart from the carefully designed characters, Its sound design is also done with care. The background music serves the comedic moment well, the OP and ED is unique and catchy, and most importantly, the voice acting is heavily plot-oriented. I have to say the voice actors have done a splendid job for us male viewers. Interspecies Reviewers have excelled on its job to entertain and to keep you watching. Usual shock dramas wear off very quickly, but this show has managed to keep the surprises novel and creative. A perfect blend of comedy, creatively designed species and tons of spiciness, combined with nicely done animation and tons of “plot”, makes up for a hentai not so hentai. I rate this show an 8.
Nothing comes close to the phrase “see it to believe it” than the controversial anime which is interspecies reviewer.Interspecies reviewer needs no introduction due to the controversy that surrounded it. Its rise to the top of MAL for a period of time and its cancellation from Funimation has let many people discovering this unique and borderline hentai anime. After decided to give this a go, I realised that some times beauty can come in many different form, in this case beauty came in the form of an anime called interspecies reviewer. This anime has shed light on the blind people like me that once thought that ecchianime has reached its peak in the genre. This anime can truly be considered a bible for the ecchi genre of anime. In my view, this anime is pretty great despite all the controversy surrounding it. Story-8 What else is there to explain in the plot besides some horny dudes going to different brothel to bang different species of succubus and review them? The plot is simple yet it has all the elements in it to attract the audiences.Every week you will be watching something similiar yet different, you will get new insights while watching the episode, you will be on your seat laughing at all the jokes while knowing you a degenerate and you be craving for the next episode after finished watching the current episode. What else more can you ask for in the plot ? Art-9 The first thing that impressed me when I watched the first episode was the animation. I thought the animation will be below average for an ecchi anime that do not have a very big fanbase. However, the animation is amazing and its consistency is impressive. The animation never dipped at all and was able to maintain its good quality throughout the anime. The animation is really better than some anime that has a bigger fanbase and popularity than it. The animators really took this anime seriously and should be praised for it. Sound-8 Having a good sound effect, voice acting and music plays a very important part for anime in general, more so if that genre is ecchi. In this aspect, interspecies reveiwer not only was spot on in choosing their voice actors, but also the sound effects and music in the anime was on point.Nothing else more needs to be said other than the word “wicked”. Character- 8 Out of all the anime there is in this world ,this anime definitely has the most species in it by far . It has all types of species from slimes to birdmaid and all the way to cowgirl. No species is left behind in the review list of the gang bang group. For the gang bang group, the group also consist of different species sharing one common goal. The main cast are very enjoyable due to their unique tastes and characters.By the end of the anime , you will be missing the group members more than the girls. Enjoyment-10 This show in terms of sex comedy and entertainment was outstanding, putting all those controversy aside and its previous high rating in MAL, the comedy inside it is legit good if you look at in a neutral perspective. Interspecies reviewer is amazing if we stop viewing it in our narrow perspective as a virgin male or a pretty female or a transgender, etc.If we just watch this anime from a neutral ground and accept this anime to be JUST AN ANIME, this show is pretty amazing for its unique contents and characters. All in all,I definitely enjoyed watching this great show.
I won't count this as part of the anime greats, but I'll definitely consider this as an ecchi great... if not THE ecchi great. It's a damn shameless anime that is proud of the genre it holds. But it's actually also a clever and legitimately funny concept for both comedy and ecchi. Right off the bat, if you dislike ecchi with a passion, this anime is not for you. But if you do not really care or are a heavy enthusiast of this culture, IR is simply a piece of art. Genuinely entertaining. Embraces you and acknowledges your depravity. For me, that felt strangely sweet and evenfascinating. That's quite the charisma that this anime holds. The sex wasn't even my favorite part of the show. It just has a natural relentless charm to it. Also, thank goodness the anime doesn't take itself too seriously with some backstory or actual fighting 'action' segments. I would have rolled my eyes. For a level of no-fucks-given, I'm a fucking gay furry, and still enjoyed this show. Come at me. As much as I'd like to give it a 10 for the meme, I want to be as honest as the interspecies reviewers themselves. Personal enjoyment was a solid 9/10. Now if you want a try-hard review, go read the rest. Story '9'/10 The premise is definitely the biggest selling point of this anime. While the quality of the writing is debatable (especially since some of the 'cultured people' have strong biases for the genre), the execution of the 'plot' is clever and simply unique. If an anime turns out memorable because of a story, yes you can count IR's "story", then it serves as a damn good element. Sound Design 6/10 Who cares? Nah. It's forgettable imo. However, forgettable is much easier to be lenient with, especially for an anime with different priorities. Besides, the music score isn't atrocious or staggering, and that is more than enough for this type of anime. The OP and ED are funny though, not jams but definitely fits the anime. Characters 8/10 The characters are meh, for a serious character standpoint, especially if you want to focus on development or psyche. However, the frameworks of most characters work very well because of the premise once again. That is enough to make the characters worth 'watching for' with the nature of 'reviewing' and being distinct. It even felt like we the viewers were waiting for the episodes as "reviews" of brothels and creatures. They are not memorable as characters (for me at least), but they serve as good plot devices. Setting 8/10 Ehhh... it's sorta tricky to rate it. The nature of the anime is to just explore areas (and bodies). So the random direction of the anime is justified. This can also be treated as a negative, depending on what your focus is... but come on. For me, the idea of the various brothels direction is perfect, and I'm glad the anime did not force to be oh-so-grand (like I thought it would with the side plots of actual "fight‐ing adventurers"). It was actually able to elaborate on some worldbuilding aspects, especially with the reviewer notion. Besides, the setting is modeled pretty well for the different creatures to sexualize and be entertained with, basically. Art Style 6/10 Meh. At least, props to the hundreds of character designs that this anime has to deal with. IR doesn't stand out in this category, but it is satisfactory to look at. I'm not talking about just fanservice. If anything, other elements work fine to make the art style feel comfortable for viewing. Other Notes: I think the anime deserved to get its meme status. It's definitely a shifting point in mainstream anime "degeneracy". Whether that is a positive or negative is up to you, of course. But this was definitely a different experience, and definitely memorable for me.
Holy crap, this show was certainly something, but it wasn't as bad as I originally thought. I started watching this show as a dare through a friend. When you first see the description for Ishuzoku Reviewers, it really downplays the show. But the show is actually very funny and interesting. Basically, these three guys go around havin sex with every species they can find, such as elves, angels, demons, monsters, and some I've never even heard of. They rate them on different skills and put these ratings in some kind of bar or restaurant for everyone to see. Plus, they get paid to do this! If that'snot the dream, I don't know what is. Now obviously, I wouldn't recommend this for a younger audience as it has a mild amount of nudity and sex, and even though I'm really young for this show, I found it very fun to watch. For anyone who's on the fence about it, do give it a chance. It's a little hard to get into, but once you do, it's a wild ride. I hope you guys find this review helpful!
Ishuzoku Reviewers is an amazing ecchi anime with a top tier seiyuu cast, excellent production and extremely tasteful ecchi-series. You might think “What the hell is tasteful about an ecchi / borderline hentai about banging monster girl prostitutes?” How is nothing you said tasteful? Generally being an anime fan, you eventually have seen ecchi harem series or maybe it even was your get-into when you started anime. Over the years or even always, most people fall out of love for this genre and even if they watch it they consider it a funny time passer or entertaining trash. I for one, have started to really appreciatethe ecchi genre again in the recent years. At least ones that are worth their damn money and don’t sexually harass the females in the most back handed ways to give the MC, the author, but definitely not the viewer, some kind of sexual gratification. But thankfully the monster girl genre is here to save us all. I want to add that I am a rather big fan of monster girls and I think monster girl ecchi series will literally save this ecchi harem genre that has been doomed since half of the last decade now as not a single above 2 / 10 ecchi show has come out that isn’t a sequel to an already beloved franchise. Ishuzoku Reviewers is in bad luck for coming out at a time where these kinds of series are kinda frowned upon and looked down at sight, but because it also is one of the best in its genre and in my opinion – the best ecchi series ever made – it also is in favor for people like me, who like this kind of stuff as as long as it was created with love and care. The motto of Ishuzoku is “If you like pervy things you are one of us”, as proclaimed in the Opening. And yes Ishuzoku is damn horny. If you want a lowkey ecchi, this ain’t it. Every character in Ishuzoku – well most of them – get to fuck. And everyone enjoys it. The girls enjoy the sex, the boys enjoy it, the hermaphrodite angel enjoys it, even the seiyuu sound like they enjoy this job– Ishuzoku is enjoyment on all fronts. You can feel the animators are having fun too, as every aspect of this anime production is top tier. The girls all look thick and shiny and every fold possible on an attractive body is animated with so much care my heart blooms. It’s better produced than the best animated hentai or ecchi series I’ve seen for sure or even most anime this season. I really enjoy the a little thicker than usual outlines and round-ish but very well designed character designs of characters all genders. The OST is also hitting with more medieval kind of tracks but also more classy melodies you normally hear in more serious shows. Ishuzoku Reviewers is about 2 guys and an angel fucking through any kind of brothel this masterclass of an author could think of, and not a single monster girl or concept is missing. Slime brothel, literally on fire salamander girl buffet, gender switch brothel, a species where all their sexy parts are emitted by light (parody on the typical ecchi censorship I assume) and many many more that I could’ve never imagined myself. The series gets infinitely creative with the brothels and species and subtly fleshes out details of the species and other worldbuilding in one smooth scoop. I am not exaggerating in stating that this is the ultimate and most perfect ecchi series. Everybody gets to have fun; its educational, genuine and creative, looks the part, is charming and the characters are all super likable. And most importantly: They actually fuck! If you are not a spoilsport or shy or a highbrow that thinks this “trash” is not high art enough for them – though it is high art for sure – I cannot recommend this series enough. Obviously don’t watch it if you hate porn and ecchi. But it’s far away from trashy. It’s an erotic masterpiece. Overview Story: 9/10 – A complete package of fun and clever worldbuilding and ton of creativity for a fantasy world Art & Animation: 9/10 – Stylistic, refreshing, very animated and looks just gorgeous Sound: 9/10 – Enthralling soundtrack and amazing sound effects and voice acting Character: 8/10 – Fair character motivations and solid characterizations Enjoyment: 10/10 – Rewarding uncensored and weekly watch Ecchi: 10/10 – The Best Overall: 9.5 (range: 9.0-9.5)
I remember seeing this a week after the majority of the Winter 2020 anime had premiered and thought the listing was a joke. It had already aired 2 episodes by the time I started watching it for the lolz and honestly, I absolutely enjoy the fuck out of it. When I found out funimation picked it up I was all about listening to the dub, but then they realized their mistake and cancelled it which caused a shit storm. And honestly the sub is superior by far to the one dubbed episode we got. Is it softcore hentai? Absolutely. Is it fun? Absolutely! Wouldyou receive any kind of character development, storylines, or any significant from this series? No. But are there honest reviews about different species that makes you think about "hey, yeah...that makes sense why that species prefers to fuck that one over that one". Absolutely yes. I didn't think I'd enjoy this series as much as I did but for my Saturday anime it became my absolute favorite. And yes over My Hero Academia. XD Its just fun, sexual, and its kinda sweet to know that there's someone (or multiple people) for everyone. No matter your insecurities someone will always give you a 9 or 10 outta 10. And that's really all we want, right?
“The law of diminishing returns does not apply to boob size…” — nefarious chiropractors everywhere How do we appraise a show that emulates the MAL review process to a T?—Easily, with our D’s. But this D doesn’t succumb to the lowest common denominator. Standards must be maintained, after all. Granted. Those standards would be equivalent to a world class hurdler jumping over a toothpick — but I’ll be damned if I’m going to fall in line like the rest of you horndogs. Sexual desires permeate to every facet of our culture, as proven by the famous ad slogan: “sex sells.”But despite the ubiquity of sexual elements in our society, it is considered taboo in normal discourse. Of course, ‘locker-room talk’ exists, but that’s reserved for your closest friends or Billy Bush inside of an Access Hollywood tour bus; otherwise, society dictates to keep those lascivious thoughts to yourself. ‘Ishuzoku Reviewers,’ however, attempts to dismantle this traditional paradigm by not only showing a myriad of uncensored sexual practices, but rating those practices based on the pleasure it brings to one’s ‘Johnson.’ People claiming this type of media objectifies women are mostly correct in their assertion, but are silly for doing so. If we can rate people’s customer service skills via filling out a survey, how is this any different?—It’s not, so shut up. The main criteria for any anime of this type is to erect ‘tents’ while making the viewer giggle like a temporarily sex changed man. But more often than not, I found myself in a flaccid state — and that’s no laughing matter. Four boners, people!—That’s all I got. For math-literate folk, that’s one boner per 3 episodes. Odds that me (and my non-erect boner) were not pleased with. Which could have been rectified if at least one animator brought up concerns about proportionality, or lack thereof. And this is no iconoclast talk. According to some shit I googled, most men prefer women with a C-cup (D-cup coming in second). Frankly speaking, anything bigger than an E-cup is just absurd, and becomes more of a hindrance than anything else. Primarily because dem tig ol’bitties tend to migrate south which makes them look less ‘full’ and have a distinct sag. Animation can nullify this unsightly consequence via ignoring gravity and the tensile strength of an average women’s back. Despite this, Ishuzoku not only embraces the ‘drooby’ aesthetic, it endorses it wholeheartedly. Taking every opportunity to push the envelope to the point where one is wondering if the breasteses are heavier than the girl, herself. Furthermore, nipples were often drawn in a distasteful manner and many of the girls had peculiar (sometimes ugly) body aesthetics. Meidri, undoubtedly, was a bang(h)er, but most of the other girls were reprehensible. Mostly because of the manner in which their bodies were drawn, but sometimes their faces were none so better.—But then, it happened! The incubus from episode 11 changed my perspective on the female form and my own prejudices. It was, however, all for naught…as when I sobered up, I swiftly realized my flaccidness. Foolishly, I came into Ishuzoku thinking with a concept this, how could one go wrong with the comedy. Even if the jokes themselves were mediocre, I figured the (un)intentional irony would be sufficient to bust a gut. I’m here to tell you: my gut remains intact. It was clear the staff was using a mixture of shock comedy (via having the Guys screw anything and everything) and satire to display how depraved anime characters, and fans —by virtue of watching the show — are in regards to their proclivities. But if anyone has spent more than 4 minutes on MAL, they’ll know how libidinous the average anime fan is. Plus, the shock comedy was not so much shocking, as it was mundane and derivative. One shocking anime, by comparison, pushed the boundaries to the periphery of human tolerance until I wanted to vomit…then, they did it again with ‘Pico to Chico,’ and one more time with ‘Pico x CoCo x Chico.’ Ah, childhood innocence, how I miss you. But I suppose anything more audacious would have crossed the barley visible line between Ecchi and Hentai. So, I applaud the effort; however, with a 1/3 boner-to-non-boner conversion rate, I cannot hyperbolize how flaccid me and my dick were. Furthermore, the narrative style of having the main characters chronicle their experiences while in the midst of sex was problematic. It’d be like James Earl Jones narrating a scene in which Han Force(D) his ‘Solo’ into Leia’s Hutt with Boba Fett in the background taking selfies for his Instagram page. Actually, that sounds pretty awesome, any Porn producers in the audience make this happen! Anyhow, the OP was pretty cool. I liked it! Bumps it up to a three for me, but it did nothing for my ‘D’ — I guaranTEE, just stay away from the hep B.
