"Grovel enough, and you'll get what you want." This is the motto that Suwaru Doge firmly stands by, believing that kneeling and begging will grant him the majestic view of a woman's naked body. After realizing the power of groveling in the dogeza stance, Doge wastes no time in exploiting it for lewd requests. Targeting the cutest and hottest girls in the school, he is one step closer to his goal of beholding their nude bodies, no matter what harm it may cause to his social standing. In modern times, where virtual reality is becoming increasingly popular, more and more anime studies are daring the "POV" step. Already in 2018, we saw a masterpiece with Opantsu (or let us say the name full in English: I Want You To Make a Disgusted Face and Show Me Your Underwear) that the world has never seen before. The long-awaited successor Opantsu 2 followed one year later (you can check out my review for this one as well). Their faces and underwear will surely be remembered by many of us, how can we forget such a divine sight. The current situation with the pandemic isterrible, but fortunately we are experiencing a real miracle from the anime studio "DMM pictures", previously only worked in dubious works such as "Domestic na Kanojo" or "Kanojo, Okarishimasu". But their latest work "Dogeza de Tanondemita" gives mankind faith and hope for a better year 2021. Let’s take a look at the English name of the anime first: “I Tried Asking In Dogeza”. Many of you probably had the same questioning face as I did: What is "Dogeza" (土 下座)? After weeks of research I was able to find out that there is also an English term for this: "Kowtow". This information was of course very interesting, but this word didn't mean anything to me either. Thanks to the help of this anime, I was able to find out the long-awaited meaning: Dogeza is an element of traditional Japanese etiquette where people gets down on their knees, places their hands on the ground, arches their back, and presses their forehead to the ground in the space between their hands (AMEN and very hard to learn). You do all the difficult moves just to show the highest respect to the other person and how serious your request is. You really hope they make your wish come true. Why was all that information necessary? Because in this anime you are the MC (with the name Suwaru Doge) and do “Kowtow” with an urgent request every time. Fortunately, the plot doesn't require 200 IQ to understand it. In every episode (which only lasts 3 minutes, 30 seconds of it is the outro) you are faced with a different girl in another environment. Sometimes your teacher is in front of you, at other times you are in the library or even when refueling you only have THAT thing in mind. Some of them have bigger OPPAIs, for others the famous saying "Flat is Justice" by Confucius applies. It doesn’t matter, you are cultured enough to know all boobs are great. BUT STOP! Breasts alone are not enough of course and so you decide in four of the twelve moments that you prefer to see their underwear. Since it has already worked out at “Opantsu”, the goal will be accomplished here as well for sure. In the end, only the result counts and you passed that with bravur in every episode! The art style is very beautiful in general, you can see and recognize all the important shapes. The exciting scenes are also highlighted by a special background effect. BUT I think we all agree in this point: We want to see uncensored OPPAIs and PANTSUs. So why is there a crappy, green mini version of us that obscures everything. That of course takes the fun out of it. Nowadays you can hardly find a more motivating song than the ED "DOGEZA! Do get that!" which is played after each short episode. The music gives you strength and the belief you can manage everything no matter how difficult the path might be. The lyrics are super easy to learn and should be a mandatory song at school, college or work to keep you motivated. With a good "Dogeza" everything is possible! A masterpiece is no use if it is not enjoyable. As an enthusiastic fan of the VR world, I already had fun watching "Opantsu" and "One Room". You don’t even need an expensive device here, so you can spend all the money for your next waifu figure. Anime shouldn't be compared directly with each other, but there is no way around "Opantsu" in this case. If you are cultured enough, do yourself a favor and watch that first if you haven't. There are no rational explanations why you should watch all of these. But as we all now, men are simple. You can see eight pair of boobs and four panties here, what else do you want more? The only thing that triggers you very hard is the censoring. Finally, I really can only recommend this anime to every cultured person. But do yourself a favor and don't try the "Kowtow"-thing in real life, the probability of ending up at the police station is much higher than being successful. We have to learn more about the "Dogeza" culture, so the only question left is: Luckily an OVA is already announced for the isekai-world but when will we get the second season?
If there was a show to end the fruitless year of 2020, this short is everything. If you want to enjoy this short, follow these simple steps: 1) Know that the MC Suwaru Doge is voiced by none other than the King of Comedy himself, Tomokazu "Gintoki" Sugita. 2) Watch EVERY episode featuring girls/women of different occupations, features, sizes (and even traps...?). 3) Prepare a comedy skit to appease the girl/woman to let her reveal her boobs/panties, much less her credentials and 3 sizes. 4) LET'S DOGEZA! Art is plenty good for a short, the only song here is outstanding. "DOGEZA! Do get that!" Onegaishimasu! So I humbly welcome one, welcome allto experience the degeneracy of a masterpiece show that will interest to all, but remember one thing: this show is tip-top degenerate NSFW. And you'll not regret to watch this for the faps.
Hilarious. Love Sugita's voice on the protagonist The ones that came an anime about a dude begging girls to show some meat expecting it to be good have 0IQ If you don't like dirty jokes don't look somewhere else, if you want to beat your meat watch Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo or look Fate Grand Order tag on nhentai, this is more for the luls than anything The main character exists for you to have his point of view the story from his perspective like in a VR game, overall he shouldn't be qualified The girls are not good characters, and about the way this is animated theyfeel more like a typical girl on a VR app for your mobile, which is makes it bad for animation standards these days, but the way is animated makes it REALLY good at making you feel immerse in this pathetic act of horny I liked it because I enjoy dirty jokes. Taking that in account, the concept of a pathetic protagonist begging girls for them to get naked was too absurd for me not to go and watch it. Enjoyed what I've seen, definetely this anime didn't fail at making me laugh any time. I'll be back, expecting from the sequel the same I expected from this: Nonsense
Damn it! I thought the worst anime of the year was already declared when I saw Gibiate. Today, I have my doubts. If you want to see a fast, uninteresting and controversial show, Dogeza is perfect for you! Now, if you hate random, immoral and horrible ecchi, stay away from this show! The ecchi genre always continues in current anime. No matter what year or decade, we will always see some work gain fame for continuing the legacy that To Love-Ru and Highschool DxD left, however controversial and contradictory that statement may be. This year was no different. We had Ishuzoku Reviewers, Dokyuu Hentai HxEros andPeter Grill, all with a giant amount of ecchi content. But, what's wrong with Dogeza? Why would anyone speak so badly of this anime, while defending these others? Well, I'll explain. First, we need to demystify the idea that all ecchi is bad. There are incredible works that know how to treat the subject as an important narrative element and others that simply put this type of scene for no reason. Dogeza goes beyond the two options and creates a third one: he uses ecchi as a narrative element, but he has no other reason than to show young people naked on the screen. The anime adapts a compilation of comic strips of the same name and you don't even have to read the subtitles or understand another language to follow the work without problems. I, for example, am Brazilian and read Dogeza quickly, but when I realized that the text didn't matter, I just turned the page and always had the same structure: a girl ashamed to show her body, a highly perverted, immoral and disgusting and a more uncomfortable environment than another. In addition to being a bad ecchi, the anime is repetitive. As much as some try to contradict me saying that the show is short and you can consider some things, I can't see any factor that makes it positive. It is not as if the creators did not know. They don't even try to hide the shit that it is. In my sincere opinion, whoever thinks this is cool and likes this type of content, needs to get their ideas back, because this is ridiculous. It is nothing more than a material for self-pleasure. It is as if the anime wanted to make the audience see themselves in the protagonist's view, which disgusts me. There are already animes that try to use the main element in first person (example: One Room), but I never saw them use it in a way that was horrible to follow. I will not blame anyone, as this type of content is considered common today. It is normal to see a type of show that passes between big episodes, as if it were a commercial. Dogeza was made to occupy a small portion of the day on your TV station. In this respect, I understand the reason for producing something like this. It is the profit it generates. Nothing more than that. Nobody will say that the anime had any other intention. Any anime that has breasts and asses as the predominant elements becomes profitable even today. The same legacy that I mentioned earlier has become a problem today, where you can still see this incredibly sick attempt to have money with products of sexual content, be it an anime, manga, figure, etc. Finally, Dogeza should not exist. It doesn’t show any content and features one of the most display and free ecchis I’ve ever seen. At least Gibiate tried to be something, Dogeza was complete rubbish from the start. Just like the anime had 12 Dogezas, I ask you in dogeza too. Definitely don't watch this!
Attention weebs! This may look like a dumb ass anime at first glance, and don't get me wrong, I've thought so too! However, this anime has proven to be the next big hit, and I'm expecting this to go on Netflix and mainstream TV channels because it will change the way anime is portrayed as a whole. I'd even put my kid in front of the TV and he would get so many knowledge that life would be as easy as breathing for him. Every single scientist in the world's research was leading mankind to the day this anime first launched, heck, even God himself could not achieve the levels of greatness and perfection that this anime brought us. The story is amazing with each episode introducing new amazing characters have such great development along the 1:30 mins of episode that even put FMA and AoT to shame for even trying to compete with it. In the end there's a plot twist that makes you doubt the Bible and the scene after the end credits made me jump and break my TV from the sheer emotion I felt in that scene. I think I'll never watch something as great as this anime again. I don't even think mankind can achieve such a level again. I don't think this was made by mankind, as I perceive this anime not as a show, but as a superior entity made to guide us...
Plot: In a POV that makes the shorts seem like a VR that you are a part of, it is literally just a short series of a guy begging and sexually harassing girls to see their boobs/panties. They literally put in the description "Grovel long enough, and you'll get what you want" and I just...can't understand who you would want to receive that message? I get it's "supposed" to be humorous, but it's not, it's creepy. I really don't even know why I watched this, I went into this completely blind, and after episode 1, it was just the same thing over and over. I mean, positive points for boobs, obviously, but lets not ignore the obvious, its just straight sexual harassment through and through. Don't get me wrong, I like Sugita, and I think his VA work is great, but I just don't understand what the point of this series was other than just showing some softcore hentai. I get that it's supposed to be a comedy, but it was just way to uncomfortable to enjoy. The only part that I found funny was the breaking of the fourth wall in one of the episodes. Beyond that, I feel like I just wasted 20-30 minutes when I could have just watched a hentai and felt more rewarded.
Chase your dreams, even if it means sacrificing your dignity. Who knows? You may just achieve them. Dreams take sacrifice, and you can't expect them to be handed to you without you making the effort to reach them. I'd say that was the biggest takeaway from Dogeza de Tanondemita, a short anthology which presents this teaching in a quite unconventional fashion. In all seriousness however, I don't understand why this received such a low rating. What did you expect? I would assume the title of the show alone already set its expectations from the audience and what it was trying to achieve and become. I understandthat we all critique in different ways but personally, the main factor that influences my criticisms is based on what the piece wants or presents itself to be, and how well the piece does in achieving those expectations, compared to others in its genre. Dogeza de Tanondemita already showed what it was meant to be from the start, and did not present itself to be some kind of extensive story, or deep plot with character development. It was concieved for the purpose of satisfying our degeneracy, but what I didn't expect was how comedic the whole endeavor was. Other animes which aim to do the same such as IyaPan (I Want You To Make a Disgusted Face and Show Me Your Underwear) achieve its goal but sets its expectations from the start. Yes, the whole show centered around this premise, and was satisfactory in how it achieved its goal. There was no deviation from its central premise and did its job. I would personally give IyaPan a 7 (I'm quite the harsh grader), since it was no nonsense and stayed on premise, and also delivered on audience expectations. What sets Dogeza apart however, and why I give it a 9, is because of how the show was able to stay on subject and achieve its goal, but also enhance its charm due to its comedic factor. Gintoki himself voiced Doge (our main protagonist), and he played the role of our main protagonist very, very well. His lines were really funny and how he synergized with the narrarator was my favorite part of it all. Only critique however is that by being in the POV setting, we would expect that it would be just like IyaPan or One Room wherein we are the protagonist, and we are meant to be making our own lines and playing our own scenario. His voice lines break the immersion and defeat the purpose of the setting, however, other than that I don't really mind it and found that while he breaks the purpose, his comedic prescence overshadows it and really makes for an enjoyable experience. Those few minutes were very enjoyable, and I would honestly watch a full 24 min show with just this. But then again, we would run out of archetypes wouldn't we. Which brings me to the girls in the show, the main attraction and hook of the show altogether, and why we want to devote time to this experience in the first place. The female (*ahem, mostly) protagonists change every episode, and present a different story and setting every instance, with our main character Doge requesting a different sight every episode (rotating between oppai or opantsu). I found the girls to be archetypal (which is to be expected from this genre so that isn't a minus point for my criteria). I did find all of them to be amusing however, and seeing their reactions was also very amusing, and personally, how those subtleties are presented is what amplifies the overall experience. Their character design and overall artsyle of the show is also okay, from what I remember, I don't think a majority of the backgrounds were but much effort into, but that's not what we're here for anyway huh. The girls were drawn decently, nothing bad, but nothing too special. The end card however, is the best piece of art I can refer to, and every episode it dosen't dissapoint, so please make sure to watch until after the end credits. I personally didn't feel the end song, and usually skipped it. It was high energy but it wasn't anything worth mentioning. Sorry, it isn't an Overflow ED level banger. Sound quality however was fine and voice acting was done very, very well. Not just by Gintoki and the Narrarator, but all of the girls as well played their roles quite well. I'd like to end by saying that shows of these genre are usually alleles of the same gene, or rather, variations of art based on the same template. The premise at its core for all of the shows in its genre is simple, show pantsu and it will be recieved in different ways. For IyaPan it was asking and also making the girls show a disgusting face. For Dogeza, it's to literally get on your knees, and sacrifice yourself to get it. What sets apart these kind of shows however, and as I said earlier, is how you can amplfy that canvas and give us something interesting, and Dogeza does this by adding to the show its comedic value. TLDR: Show surpassed my initial expectations and is very enjoyable, it won't be the self insert theme like you're used to, but you'll still love its charm either way. 9/10 Note: I'm comparing to IyaPan alot and that's because that's what I would consider to be its best comparison to. The people who will watch this have likely watched a few episodes of IyaPan and will likely understand alot of the comparisons I made.
My review of this will try to be as serious as possible Story 1/10 There is no story, but there wasn't supposed to be one. (except for the last 2 episodes) Art 3/10 It's ok, but there are a few weird parts with the characters faces, like one girl has a slightly drooping cheek for some reason that i'm pretty sure wasn't intentional. Also the tiddy is censored, which drops it down a ratingCharacter 3/10 There aren't really any 'characters' since none of them reappear apart from the MC who we never seen Sound 7/10 Assuming you include voice acting as part of sound and not part of character, the VA is pretty good considering how insignificant this show is. The MC is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita and anyone who has heard him knows he has a good voice for comedy. The other VAs are fine, and the outro is alright Enjoyment 6/10 Provided you go into this show with minimal expectations, you might chuckle once or twice at Sugita's VA or the occasional 4th wall break. I'm fully aware that objectively this show is like a 2/10 but I found SOME enjoyment in it Overall 4/10 This show only takes 20-30 mins to watch the whole thing if you skip the ED and the first 30 or so seconds where nothing happens. So to the people calling this show a 'waste of time', how busy are your lives where you can't spare 20 mins? What else are you going to do in 20 mins? Make breakfast? Play a game of COD? Watch a youtube video? Anyway it's honestly not awful to watch provided you go in with the right mindset
What a bad anime.. I don't even know where to begin lol Story: this guy begs for some boobies, I thought it would be just the first episode but it was the whole season. It actually was a turn off seeing all that play out. Art: it was okay nothing amazing. Boobs looked pretty good too. Sound: not a whole lot there. Characters: MC is fucking annoying, all the other girls are stupid and don't know why they give in. I know it's an anime but it's pathetic.Enjoyment: it was nice seeing the boobs but that's about it. Overall: bad anime. That's it that's all 3/10 Thank you for reading :)
Why would one waste time and resources to create such an anime. Is it to catch attention of horny viewers? Is it to find enjoyment for your own libido? I do not know but seriously I do not thing this is even in the category of an safe anime to watch this is more of an excuse me for the word HENTAI. If you want it to go all the way then just make it an hentai that is more better rather than letting your viewers feel not satisfied for seeing the censored version. This anime is awful for someone who wants to watch animewith beautiful plot or good stories.
So Wikipedia lists this as a 'sex comedy' which is pretty accurate. After watching the first 3 minute episode, I instantly recognized the voice actor from gintama's Sakata Gintoki. I also checked out the manga which this was adapted from, and I think they did a really good job on that. A manga chapter for this series generally takes up a couple panels on a page. There's always some girl and our Main character who we don't see, but it more feels like the comic author himself is commentating. In the manga, they stretched it out, put alot of emphasis on the comedy and added another characterto commentate on how ridiculous the main character, Doge Suwaru, is being. Now again 'sex comedy' but part of the reason why I'm rating this high is because I came in expecting it to be fanservice but just came out dying laughing
I mean, we all know why we are watching it right? I actually found this specific genre randomly and found it quite intriguing. Since then I sometimes partake in research with my fellow men of culture to discover the secrets of the universe. Such is the vow we made when we decided to take on this mantle of cultured people. But I won't give it a high score cause it wasn't really creative. It could have been more fun... or cringe depending on how you twist it. It just felt repetitive and the personalities of the girls, aside for maybe the kuudere and the yandere, weren't that impressive. It felt too much like a game, which it is obviously inspired from but it could've been more organic. I don't know, I don't like how it is now. Let's hope the next season gets better.
Dogeza de Tanondemita, while it may show itself as a simple ecchi anime about girls showing their underwear to a first person main protagonist, is actually so much more than this. In fact, this anime shows so much in so little time that I believe no review will ever truly honor the name of an anime so great the average MAL user can't comprehend it. And so I will do my best to offer an accurate summary of this divine miracle of existence dressed as a Japanese cartoon. The episode format are short, 2-5 minutes episodes, all structured in the same manner. Our main protagonist meetsa girl in a public, everyday setting, there he grows the craving of discovery, and through a well known Japanese tradition named the dogeza, formulates the demand to see a realm of which no man can access, one that is hidden through layers upon layers of clothes. Your average, weak willed anime watcher may only see a cheap way to sell panty/boobshots, and those still bound by lust towards the female body will see no further with their clouded eyes and incomplete Judgement. But I, who gained the wisdom this anime was offering will explain the true nature of those short episodes. Indeed, Dogeza de Tanondemita is an anime about discovery. In the goal of pursuing greater knowledge, our main character has perfected the dogeza, the ultimate begging technique, one that trades honor, shame and decency for results. This is the sacrifice of every spiritual possession in goals of attaining further knowledge, but about what you may ask? About an unknown realm, one that is right beneath our sight everyday of our lives, yet one that we cannot get to see for ourselves. Something that was created by man, but also something that we need to discover in order to attain enlightenment once more. Something that we all own, but that we still want to see nonetheless. I am talking about this all so tiny piece of cloth that has more value than life when we carry it on our person. I'm talking about underwear and I'm talking about the lack of underwear. Through each and every episode, our main character is teaching us the value of determination, the different perspective between the one who wears and the one who seeks. What the right words at the right time can provide, and the willingness of man to go beyond its capabilities to get what it wants. Yes, Dogeza de Tanondemita is all that, and there may be a few things I forgot, after all, I am not God's pen who wrote a story that managed to tell so much in so little time. For real though, Dogeza de Tanondemita is a very entertaining ecchi show for how long it'll last you
A fun little series.. with a serious plot twist I was not expecting... a little ecchi. and probably best watched in short bursts... But I was just laughing at how utterly ridiculous this series is.. and it is gonna be even better in the 2nd season. ^_^ But man that plot twist.. I was not expecting that.. Also the main character is voiced by Gintoki from Gintama.. (and he does an epic job.. even though you don't see his face.) I would definitely recommended this one.. it's not gonna break the bank for it's story.. but the characters are pretty good. I hope you enjoy this silliness asmy as I did. ^_^
This was the first time I watched an anime like this and while it's definitely not a top tier anime, it still had moments that made me laugh and really enjoy it. With episodes only being about 3 minutes long, it's a quick watch. Each girl has a different personality and each episode a different setting, which means me and the person I watched it with both got to see the boobs and/or panties of the archetype we enjoy. The ending is what got me to give this anime quite a decent score. You'll probably be done watching this anime within half an hour, and if youneed a good laugh about something absolutely ridiculous, this anime will give it to you. Dare I call this anime good? Absolutely not. Is it enjoyable? Most definitely.
I'm writing this because I'm seeing a lot of people give this anime a 1 for a very dumb reason so I will give you my honest thoughts. This short anime is just a funny cute ecchi anime show, it doesn't have high stacked nut busting action, it doesn't have an insanely complex story, but it is enjoyable, funny, and the girls are cute. Now a little tip for those looking for good reviews of these shows, if you look at these low reviews they're all anime "aficionados" who only give good ratings to shows like The Promised Neverland and The Monogatari series. don't listen to thosereviews, look for the reviews that will tell you what they actually think. One main giveaway of these aficionados' reviews are something like "It-it-it's ju-just a stupid __________ show, this stuff doesn't suit my high intelligence." so in the end: Story: 6 Fair It does what it says in the description. Art: 7 Good The girls are very cute. Sound: 7 Good The voice actors for the girls sounded cute, the MC's voice actor played is role very well. Character: 6 Fair The girls are cute and their personalities are not bad at all, the MC is funny and makes the show a lot more enjoyable. Enjoyment: 7 Good You will not be bored watching this short, because it doesn't stretch out these episodes to the point that you are bored and the comedy should keep you laughing for the whole duration Overall: 7 Good It's a very entertaining show.
This anime is truly life changing. Never in my entire existence have I felt so attached and connected to an anime. This work truly and remarkably brings out the best in the anime world. This anime pulls on our heartstrings, blows our mind, and makes us truly feel satisfied. This a heartwarming tale about how our tragic hero doge, goes on a quest to get the girls at his school to show him their breasts or show him their panties. You would assume this would be an impossible task. However, he has a secret weapon. Groveling. Yes, this technique is legendary and can only beused by the absolute strongest of men with the bravest and most noblest soul. He gets any girl to show him their panties/breasts with his quick wit, determination, and incredible charisma. Goku and saitama would get their ass beat by this guy. Anyway every single aspect of this anime gets a 10/10!
If you're looking for a good anime, this ain't it, but compared to most other ecchi anime this is a cut above the rest simply because it doesn't beat around the bush. Good stories are important but I've seen many plots built off of contrivances and misunderstandings that force the plot forward in an unsatisfying and unrealistic way to the point where (in some cases) I'd rather just watch a show that cuts the bull and gets to the point in less than a season. Of course at that point the characters are still shallow and the show is almost entirely unenjoyable but at leastI didn't waste several hours of my life on this. If you're looking for wank material everything is censored and there's plenty of better stuff you can find really easily, but you do you. I give this a 3/10 instead of a 1/10 simply because the ED slaps so much. I would recommend you watch just one episode mainly to head bang to the ED (also all 12 are really similar, if you've seen one you've seen them all).
Dogeza I Tried Asking While Kowtowing are funny and ecchi 12 episodes shorts (3 minutes) about a guy begging girls primarily at his school including his teacher to show him their breasts or panties, and succeeding. The premise is stupid, lets get that out the way. And yet still ended up being pretty funny. Suwaru Doge knows what he wants and he is very direct about it with the girls. And will do what it takes to get it. Even if it means getting down on his hands and knees. And it works. Some may say this anime is unrealistic. I say "no sh*t Sherlock" Each episode isa different girl with their unique profile (name, age, sign, blood type, etc). Different locations (rooftop, classroom, nurse's office, library, gym, dentist, etc). It comes off as a visual novel but animated. The whole thing is a POV shot. There is also some fourth wall breaking which adds to the comedy and to the fact this shouldn't be taken seriously. The last episode is amazing in multiple ways. It involves a yandere and i wont spoil more than that.
