Two words: Ultimate disappointment. Don't get me wrong, I loved this series very much. Except what I hate about it is its being all over the place. I mean, I can't expect this to be perfectly in tune with the manga (no anime is perfectly in tune with any manga, sadly), but this was an ultimate disappointment. First, they show insignificant scenes, such as the one with Kikuchi's incident, when they could have shown more significant scenes from the manga. Second, someone who has never read the manga wouldn't understand some parts, such as the reporter who looks like Iwaki. Third, some details are wrong, such asthe scandal that involved Iwaki and Katou. And fourth, to put it bluntly, it fails hard at humor. Fifth, WHY THE HECK DOES SAWA HAVE WHITE HAIR??? >.
I think that haru wo daiteita is very dramatic and it also deals with very interesting situations in which two men work together as AV (adult video)actors. The main people Kyosuke, Iwaki : and Katou, Youji ......start to adapt feelings for eachother....though to support their jobs they must act as lovers and take part in sexual activities... twas in their personal lifethey start to feel and care for the other from rival to ideal partner.... this anime has a feel to it ... when i watched this i was expecting to see boyXboy wich i got but i also got more which made the anime moreworth watching i would say that this anime is perfect for a yaoi fans and well thats as much as i can say for these two episodes overall ........
Yaoi is a genre which is basically animated gay porn for female audiences. But, for some reason, authors try to pretend they're not just two animated dudes fuckin' each other. No, they like to pretend they tell love story, that most of the cases end up being disturbing, glamorizing rape and abuse, or being completely unrealistic. In which category this title falls? Fortunetly, the last, which is the less offensive. Don't get me wrong, there still guys that jump over other guys, and kiss them and touch them without consent, but at least they're not drugged, or enslaved. Yeh, ethical standard in yaoi are pretty low. Sowe got two guys, one brunette and the other blonde (i don't care enough about the characters to learn their names) which were porn actors and now they want to make more serious movies, and that's because they do basically the same that they do when they make porn, just this time people won't see their genitalia. So they have sex in their audition, something pretty suspicious, and that happens to you in real life, start to suspect. They fall in what the anime wants you to believe is love. But it isn't, is your typical on and off, toxic relationship, based on the most shallow reason you could ever had to fall with someone. Both are hot and have good sex. I don't think somene will last too muchin a relationship based in those two reasons only. The first episode is basically that. Two guys screaming at ech other fullfilling the space netween sex scenes to gives us some conflict and fail miserabily on it. They are completely uninteresting, unsympathetic, act like morons and finally, decide to live together. Or better said, one breaks into the other's apartmet and said since that right moment, they're gonna live together as a couple. And then the next episode starts with that same guy cheating with another woman and being caught by the paparazzi. The second episode, trust me, manage to be even worst. The cheating subplot, which is never brought up again after the brunette forgives the blonde, is the minor of the problems. We met our antagonist, who's the villain with the motivation that makes less sense since Master of Martial Hearts. That's right, i compare this to Master of Martial Hearts. It's that bad. He was an actor that has to go overseas after a gay scandal destroyed his carrer in Japan, and has come back after years, and wants to destroy the relationship between the two MCs and damage homosexuality's public perception despite he's glad society has become more accepting towards openly gay actors. This would be like in X-Men suddenly Magneto and Mystique had a plan to exterminate mutantkind. So, moronic main characters and villain, what's left? We got a director, which is the most effeminate guy on the show and wants to make a swinger with the main couple but then change his mind because that means his lover, and also cousin who looks barely legal and is te closets thing to an uke this show has, would be touched by someone else. Despite it was his idea and he didn't have any proble sucking someone else's coock in front of him. Yeah, not much better option. The only character left that stands is the paparazzi, but because he's annoying, without any clear motivation or background, and looks exactly like the brunette and it that makes me think he maybe a secret son. The OVA was made in 2005, but it looks it was made in 1995. Everything is extremely dated, both character design and animation, and the music is that kind of stuff that will sound in a sitcom, in a n episode were a middle aged married couple will try to make their special sexy night, but they look ridiculous and everythibg goes wrong. So melodramatic and unrrealistic story, but the saddest part? It doesn't even work in the gay porn aspect. The sex scenes are boring. Another yaoi shows could be more offensive in the sory, but at least they work as animated gay porn. This fails even in that aspect. Skip this. Please. If you want to see a romantic comedy with the main couple in the show business, watch Love Stage instead. It's far away more funny and the characters are more likeable.
This was a cute, well thought out, nicely packaged anime. I felt like there was great balance between the sexy time and everything else. Also the story really lends itself to this genre, so the transitions happen very naturally. To me, the opening sequence was quite impressive. The music caught me by surprise as it is much more peaceful than the current trend. Also, I loved how they delayed the dialogue at the beginning and took a moment to center attention and energy on the characters. It definitely had a "movie" feel at the start of each which I liked. As I mentioned before, this is'nicely packaged.' Feel free to take that both ways, as expected the men are all attractive. Though you'll not be seeing any packages here due draping, which also means no weird censorship. Though what I truly meant is that the characters, the story, these are all well developed, but not too deep. The characters are very relatable, struggling with things like insecurity, jealousy, career, and love. I could definitely see myself watching this over again, and I wonder what will stand out to me then. All in all, we're talking about your classic love story wrapped up nice and neat with a dash of social commentary in the second half. If you're one who likes feel good, fluffy romance, then this might be a yaoi for you.
Surprisingly wonderful! I challenged myself to watch a randomly generated anime, and when this popped up, I was alarmed. I’m not gay, but this story had me in tears, and I loved it so much! The plot, the emotions; they are wonderful!! I wish people in real life are able to connect the way the gentlemen do here, but alas, my extreme emotions shall never be reciprocated! Even so, the fact that I can escape into this fantasy makes life better! The art style is pretty good for an anime this old, in this genre! I don’t know what else to say, except that the characters feel real.

I recommend leaving your moral compass outside of the room for this one and not think too deeply about the glorification of human depravity, but well, if you've watched any number of yaoi, none of it should really come as a surprise to you. It's not breaking the mold. What you get is what you expect. Boys having fun in bed, questionable consent, and drama. This time starring actors and other movie staff, a paparazzi and everything in between. It has some good moments that are really sweet, if you take them out of the full context. Disturbing things aside, did I care one bit what thesetwo OVAs were about? Not in the slightest. I took one look at the lineup and decided I was going to listen to four of my favorite VAs and in that regard, I was not disappointed.
