When a gust of wind blows away a young woman's hat, a high school girl sprints past her and leaps into the air to retrieve it. However, this is no ordinary girl. Feeling the hat barely escape her grasp, the girl morphs her body into a fighter jet, blasting off into the distance with a burst of speed to catch it. This encounter is the young woman's unexpected introduction to the Henkei Shoujo: seemingly normal girls with incredible transformation powers who live among humans. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

This is what happens when you let Micheal Bay direct anime. Straight to the point, just robots and hot girls, just like the entire Transformers movie series. Story (10/10) - The lack of a story makes this anime a true masterpiece. Art (10/10) - The CGI reminds me of Transformers, which reminds me of Micheal Bay, which means it's good. Sound (1/10) - The music was recycled and soulless. Totally unlike Transformers. Character (10/10) - The characters have no personality, just like Transformers characters.Enjoyment (10/10) - Transformers. Overall (10/10) - Some discredit this anime for having no story, just like how they discredit the masterpiece that is Transformers: No Plot Just Robots. This 5 episode anime series whose total runtime is less than 10 minutes truly is a masterpiece. We have shed the bounds of storytelling and plot for true entertainment.
Great show. I quite enjoyed the soundtrack as well. I recognized a few beauties in the OST such as Radetsky March and Gymnopedie No.1 . So where to start in this review? Well, the story arc was quite compelling. I thought that it was interesting to see the deepest reaches of one's own mind whilst distraught in peril. My favorite episode was episode 4 as it became evident that the rising action was leading to the climax. Simply Beautiful. Quite Amazing. Simply Delectable Obviously for a refined palette.9/10 overall The one point missing is just because there aren't enough episodes. Waiting for season 2
This review is actually quite hard to write; quite strange for a five-episode show that total under ten minutes. How do you judge something that doesn't aim high? When your anime is one big shitpost, how do you judge it?Well, I lied. It's actually quite simple, actually. It's one big shitpost, and it doesn't aim to be anything but that. And it's a good stinkin' time. Story: There is no story. Art: The artwork is quite good flat animation paired with passable CGI. They fit the aesthetic well, and the lacking parts of the CGI are actually used to the advantage of the comedy. Sound: The sound's passable. Not much to say. The use of the main theme would get old after a while if this wasn't so short. Character: The designs are cool, in a "what the hell, man" kind of way. Enjoyment & overall score: Yes, this anime gets a 10 for enjoyment. Everything in this anime is stupid, and intentionally. The concept is stupid, and the producers know it. The transformation sequences are laughably bad. The transformations are abrupt as hell. This gag would get old fast -- But this entire anime is less than ten minutes. So cut down and distilled, this is a fun collection of bad jokes. It's that friend who cracks stupid puns constantly. The joke's stupid but you laugh at it, with him and at him simultaneously. But in the end, it's just a stupid joke. It's fun as hell, and you have to admire how well it's done, but... It aims to be a stupid little joke. And that's all it is. Is it a fun hell of a time? You bet. But is it anything higher than the low bar it aims at? Not really. Decent is the right word here.
Ever want to turn into an airplane and fly away from the suffering that is life itself? Now with Henkei Shoujo, you can embark on a journey to do just that! Story (10/10): The premise had a lot of potential. It took that potential and twisted it into a masterpiece. It was an exhilarating ride going from tragic losses to inspiring teamwork. It is truly a heartfelt experience that I have yet to see in any other show. The way the plot was presented was masterful. A lot was left unspoken which allowed the viewer to interpret it as they want. There are countless possibilities, andthat is the beauty of Henkai Shoujo. Art (10/10): One word- Breathtaking. Sound (10/10): The music was very calming at the beginning, and it perfectly fits the scene toward the end. Characters (10/10): Let's see... School girl airplane? Car? Mech? Ship? Check! Enjoyment (10/10): One of the most enjoyable shows out there. It caught me off guard and gave me an unexpected and unique experience. Final Thoughts This show, hands down, is one of the most beautiful pieces of work I have ever encountered. From the calm atmosphere to the wild chase scene- everything was done perfectly. It showed the journey of a girl's struggle, and how her strong will prevailed at the end by demonstrating that anything is possible through hard work. Update: Episode 2 was a treat! I never expected the show to get even better! One moment a girl is skipping down the road, the next she's stealing your precious gas! It's okay thoughw because guess what? She's a car! Update 2: Episode 3 just dropped today, and I'm am absolutely blown away. They brought an amazing VA HanaKana! Once again, the perfect music, art, and overall atmosphere deceived me. It all came together to the best transformation yet! What ingenuity from those bra cutters! Update 3: Boy I was shocked again by episode 4! I thought the show would just repeat the same formula over and over again, but the twist got me good! Update 4: Wow! I didn't think any show would top Shokugeki this season! We once again find a transforming girl, but this time it's something practical!
A truly innovative piece of art, showcasing how people change through tough transformations. Like before watching this anime I did not think it was possible to turn into a car, nor a ship nor a mech but now I am enlightened, they have shown us what most animes fail to do. Like what other anime can you say has an anime girl that turns into a an airplane just to fetch a girl's hat? Such kindness and selflessness has encouraged me to be a better person myself. The way it manages to captivate the characters emotions is brilliant as well. It's like I feelthe same way the character does I mean cmon. Look at gray haired girl that always watches these transformations take place! Shock, Awe, Happiness, Joy and Sadness are all shown extremely well. My favorite story out of the main 5 was when the car-girl "Rin" ran to the gas station and chugged gasoline. I was in shock, how can a character be so relatable?? Then she turned into a car!! How awesome is that???! oh and don't even get me started on the OST. It would put Mozart to shame. Especially the one that plays during the transformation. I have it set as my alarm so that way I can hear it every morning when I wake up so I know today is going to be a brilliant and productive day! Anyway. Henkei Shoujo is a masterpiece and a half and it is something everyone should see. Show your mom, show your dad, show your grandma! They'll be sure to love it! This beautiful work of art gets a perfect 10/10 for me!
Ok, I know all of you serious anime watchers out there are getting your panties in a bunch over how short and meaningless this anime (If you can call it that) is. However, I'm a fairly experienced individual myself, and let me tell you. If you rate this anime as a comparison to most other anime it will most likely score extremely low. However, the point of rating anime is just to rate it based on a combination of your personal enjoyment, and how close you think the show is to how it should be. I personally enjoyed the quick 10 or so mins.I spent watching, and I also believe it is exactly how the creators intended it to be. In my eyes this makes it a quirky random super-small anime that gets a quick laugh out of almost anyone that watches. You could compare this (if you have no imagination) to an extra short version of Saiki K. (another good one that you should watch if you haven't).
I'm actually going to try to be somewhat serious about this, which is probably more than Henkei Shoujo deserves, but anyways. I don't know why this exists. Like, I honest to god have zero idea how this happened. Mind you, I'm not complaining. This show is one big shitpost, and I actually had a lot of fun watching it. I'm not sure how to really quantify that as a number, but I think it did everything I could've asked from a 1 minute per episode shitpost. Surprisingly, the one joke didn't really overstay its welcome in 5 episodes. I don't know they could've pushed it much farther, but5 total minutes was enough time to keep cracking up at the minor spins on it. The music actually works perfectly with it as well, setting a mood and then abruptly shifting it each time. There's not really much more to analyze; the animation serves its purpose, the plot barely exists, and I couldn't tell you the name of a single character offhand. And really, that's all it needs. It's not trying to be anything more than it achieves, and it achieves everything it tries to be. For that, Henkei Shoujo, I commend you.
My rating is gauged significantly different than if I were to rate more typical anime. As a meme, I'm pretty sure 9/10 is spot on. The characters are really involved in what makes these skits so... legendary? There is simply no way to predict what comes next. Perhaps this is a hallucinogenic tribute to mecha, and in particular, to the Transformers series. Beyond developing the notion of mechanical transfiguration, I think it is fair to say that one cannot simply guess what exactly these heroines would transmogrify into, and that adds to the beauty of it all. The shock value was spot on. The art isunassuming, one would not expect the skits to turn the way they did given the style. The sound, and sudden cut into the theme music of the skit really upped the ante for what an anime meme should be. I recommend watching if ever you suddenly dip into an existential crisis or any sort of forlorn moment in your life. I strongly recommend watching regardless of your status in life. Overall, it's a good meme. I suppose my major source of disappointment would be more on, why is it only 5 episodes?
(10/10) word cannot discribe this anime, but I will try my best: This anime is sooooooo deep, every scene makes me want to cry!!! The music "me chupa-la" is great. in portuguese "me chupa la" means: "suck me there". The classic music in the backgroung is so wholesome. It is very sad that this anime only has 5 episodes, pls make a movie. The team that made this anime could work in "Vending Machine Dungeon" it would be Greatno spoiler ep 1: Great ep 2: 666 times better than sonic the movie ep 3: This is the best echii off all time ep 4: This ep is Azur lane writen by God Himself ep 5: Season finale :( 100 times better than food wars!!! Pls season 2!!!!!
Henkei Shoujo (2017) The only real reason this is a 10 is that it is so damn crazy it deserves awareness. I feel for the girl in the white dress she lives in a world that is beyond weird. Cute girls transform into weird things is the show. Gets weirder as the show goes on let's be honest. No story in any way to speak of. Also, it should be noted even in the robot state the panties are visible. Something of a weird addition. This is one of these shows although very short and hilarious in its own way, I do wonder how many drugsthe makers were on when the made this and what the board was on when they approved it to be made. Watch it, you will not regret this 5 minutes.
Most hilarious anime I've ever had the pleasure of watching. Story: 10/10 An amazing story that is so indepth. An amazing story that is so indepth. An amazing story that is so indepth. An amazing story that is so indepth. An amazing story that is so indepth. An amazing story that is so indepth. Art: 10/10 Beautiful art and animation. Never have I seen such good work. Sound: 10/10 The best songs ever.Character: 10/10 Transformers Enjoyment: 10/10 Amazing. Beautiful story, art, sound and characters. I would rewatch it again and again. Was laughing all the way through. Overall: 10/10 Best anime ever, definitely watch it. It is hilarious
I usually enjoy breaking down anime and writing reviews on them, good or bad. I feel like there's good and bad to every anime but this anime is another whole level of understanding beyond what I can handle or comprehend. It is beyond my intellect and too truly give it a score, I don't think that's possible. What we see in the spam of 5 minutes is greater then what we see in the spam of a entire series of the Monogatari series. And if you know me, I love that series but it doesn't even compare to this show. It's like holding a candleto light the earth compare to the this anime that is like the SUN! You get like cute girls doing cute stuff, with Meccha and you're Isekei into that world without even realizing that you're so caught up in that moment that 5 minutes feels like you've been through a whole life experience. Truly this was a slice of life with so much romance and drama that it's just WOW! Should you watch this? YES! It's only 5 minutes about, but it'll be the best time of your life and leave you wishing it should've been longer then one piece and should have more season! But you then realize... you won't paint over a painting that's already done... so why ruin something perfect? All you can do is not add to it, but take from it. So do yourself a favor and stop watching what you're watching and watch this show! You won't regret it! You'll thank me later and be like man, I had trash taste before but now I've tasted mana from Heaven. Everything else will taste like trash, your taste bud will be forever spoiled and you'll be left with a void in your heart that cannot be filled. Whoever wrote this should write more anime! Story 100 Art 100 Sound 100 Character 100 Enjoyment 100 PLUS ULTRA! Overall - Higher then the amount of episode of One Piece
Interesting concept I guess it's essentially anime girls transforming into vehicles in various episodes and a kitchen based machine in episode 5. As fun and quirky as this little series is (which feels more like an animation project/short reel) it's hard to recommend it to someone who is new to anime, however I would recommend it to someone who's into anime waifus and transformers I guess, as much of a specific niche as that sounds. Clinically the animation is done well and the sound design is really solid, music is a nice touch too and each episode is about a minute or so long. Inconclusion it's a fun little surreal romp with a niche that would appeal to anime fans who enjoy waifus and mecha fused together.
A Quirky Transformation Twist Captivation: Stumbled upon a Twitch clip, I was instantly drawn to the bizarre and fascinating scenes in "Henkei Shoujo." Concept: The series brilliantly melds cuteness with chaos, showcasing anime girls transforming into powerful machines. This unexpected twist in character design is both thrilling and engaging. Length: The brevity of the series is a major plus. Each episode's concise duration makes it perfect for a quick yet memorable anime experience. Desire: Eager to consume the full-length series, its unique premise and short format have piqued my interest significantly. Overall: "Henkei Shoujo" offers a unique, fast-paced, and visually captivating experience, perfect for those who enjoy unconventional animeconcepts.
I genuinely don't know what to make of this anime. Every episode except for the third ends with a girl making a "wtf??!" expression, and that's precisely how this anime made me feel. If taken seriously, I cannot recommend this to anyone. But I will say: the 1st episode? I found it genuinely funny. There's not really any plot to be spoiled, since the synopsis says it all. Each episode is a 1-minute short about some sort-of-mecha girl. Except instead of a giant mecha, it's a plane, car, sussy robot, battleship, and... an okinomiyaki-making robot?? The transformation sequences seem like they come out of nowhere, due to thesudden changes in theme, visuals (2D -> 3D), and music (classic -> anisong). I am inclined to believe this entire anime must be a shitpost. Oh, and they make the fanservice really obvious. idk why they added it; it doesn't really add anything, and it feels unwarranted. But I genuinely can't tell if it's supposed to be appealing, or if it's just part of the shitpost. Overall, I'm rating 2/10, but it did get a good laugh out of me.
Went in completely blind, didn't even look at the episode length - 26 seconds in my jaw dropped harder than it has ever before. The only anime where I immediately re-watched the first episode after finishing it. one of the two listed staff members is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the other is Erik Satie, both of whom are long dead. 10/10 for resurrecting classical composers just for this 7~ minute shit post I've said everything there is to say, MAL won't let me upload a review that short so here's a haiku about the show: I stayed up all night, Searching for a masterpiece - And this isn't it. 10/10
Uhh. Hm. Alright, uh, let's just get right into it. Henkei Shoujo is one of the strangest anime I've ever seen, and centers itself around teen girls that transform into vehicles and mechs. These transformations are also meant to be erotic, but outside of a very concerning cohort of individuals, this ambition falls flat. When you get a pantyshot of a girl that's turned into a car, or titties that have transformed into naval cannons, the thing that should be grabbing your attention as the viewer is the grotesque, insanely detailed cg transformation sequences that seem to be the whole point of a given episode. To use a point of comparison, it feels like deviantart fetish stuff that was given a suspiciously high budget. That pretty much covers the story, which is essentially nothing more than its premise. The art is pretty unremarkable, outside of the insane detail applied to the transformation sequences, which seem to have a level of genuine engineering prowess backing up their schematics. The sound is generally unremarkable, and the last thing you'll notice watching this title. The characters are very weird, and only exist to transform on-screen. Of them, my favorite is Rin, as her episode has the funniest lead-up, but my real overall favorite is the girl who doesn't transform at all- Hiromi. She is simply subjected to the insane antics of these mechanical beings, and she is highly relatable given that her dumbfounded expression matched mine throughout this anime's brief runtime. Overall, Henkei Shoujo is a weird show, and it's hard to recommend at all due to the fact that the only two ways it can be enjoyed are as spectacle or as fetish material. Even so, it is so short, and so strange, that at the very least you'll have something you can laugh about and subject your friends to without warning, and in that capacity there are few better shows for such a purpose.
I almost just want to give this 10/10 for the memes. I came across this probably the same way most people did, as a shitpost about how dumb anime is. Is it satire, or is Japan just like this? That's the joke. I think the joke is less funny than when I first saw it. I think there's an over-saturation of this kind of meta-humor already in the west, and while this is still very funny conceptually, I can't give too much high praise for a one-off joke. I am a very serious anime reviewer, after all, and my reputation would be destroyed forever if Igave too much high praise to a show with only 5 episodes under a minute each. For that reason, I have to give this an 8/10, and that's a very high grade for me since I am such a serious reviewer.
Never before have I accidentally completed an anime. I saw it linked on YouTube, watched it, came here to find out more about it, turns out the little I watched was everything. The content of the show itself is actually pretty good, quite enjoyable. The only reason I gave it a 7 was because it's basically a trailer for a non-existent anime. It has no story or direction, just short 1 minute skits. That said, what you get out of it is definitely worth the time invested. It's basically 5 minutes jumping between WTF and LMAO. Definitely recommend watching it.
